I love the Z270 boards, 7 PCIe slots with 2 M.2 slots.  I don't run more than 7 GPUs in one rig anyway (at least so far).

yeah and with the power and reset switch on the back you can comnect it to srr or other rig resetting tools and
still have manual control of the boards, best mining board for me atm
I would be fine with 7 vega , six is a non starter , have you tried 7 vegas on these?

Not yet, I just got my first Vega 56 last week.  It will be awhile before I get a full rig of them.  I'm still trying to decide how I'm going to manage power.  It's complicated by the fact that you need both 8 pins for each card.  I'll probably have to start using the HP server PSUs with breakout boards.

the only really easy way to do it is with those 2400 watt power supplies with 24 power connectors on the break out boards , only problem they  they take alot of space on my racks
Hi, could you send me an link with that psu? Thx

https://www.parallelminer.com/product/rev2-ultimate-2400watt-power-supply-kit-for-gpu-mining-94-platinum-efficiency-200v240v-w-32pcie-plugs/

its overkill yeah , but a normal 1500 watt or multiuple 1200 watt PSU's would cost you twice as much, the only
issue i have with these are placement on my racks they take up a good amount of space

i have like 6 peices of the 270 A and AR asus and they work with up to 8 gpu rx 570 or 580 easy

are you sure you dont have a bad board? they really have problems with 6 plus vega?

I hope not becuase i like these boards since they have their own power switch too and have been for the most part solid.  I only have 3 vega so i cant test it myself

did u update bios to latest?
1765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 06, 2017, 12:54:37 AM
It surprised me to see all you guys going to btg. I'm not really against it I just read some really shady propaganda about it. What do I know. Follow the money.

Whats not to love..... exact copy of BTC Segwit but with Equihash POW.

I bet there are more mining GPUs than Antminers out there, so it sounds like mining power back to the little guys.

With ETH going POS, BTG is probably the best thing since slice bread for GPU miners.

exactly, plus a good fuck you to Eth team as well as bitmain at the same time, whats not to love
to me the premine is not so huge a deal, sinc bitcoin was heavily premined by few people its first few years
1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Releases Driver for DAG Issue !!! on: November 06, 2017, 12:45:52 AM
SO my drivers have recently started crashing as of yesterday, cannot get my machine stable. Using the August block chain drivers.

atikmdag.sys and dxgkrnl.sys crash. Reports that THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
bad card or riser
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 05, 2017, 08:22:27 PM
dstm miner works great.  Hashrates are for me about 8% higher than ewbf on pretty much all gpu's I have.  Rock stable for me.  You should give it a try.

really I have one rig thats doing equihash using otiminer 4.3 700 sols or so per 1080ti and 450 sols per 1070, you really see more than that wth dstm ?

I only use 75% power though on all my nivdia cards

You guys heard about the gold rush right ? In the end the only one who made money were the guys selling picks and shovels

I cant see why anyone is suprised at all this lol
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Imagine you have $50000 to build ETH mining farm, what HW you recommend? on: November 05, 2017, 12:44:22 AM
buy $30000 btc $20000 ETH and enjoy your sleep.

mining only really makes money when speculation makes a lot more.

I would do what this guy is saying, and buy only eth cause it is very undervalued right now.

yeah im not lying id do the same but i would build 1 or 2 rigs for fun
1770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 04, 2017, 11:47:19 PM
okay what is best link for btc gold?

Just finished my testing with btcg.miningspeed.com POOL.

Tested the other pools listed in btcg website - https://bitcoingold.org/ .... but settled for this pool

Planning to throw everything to BTG with AMD and NVIDIA (around 38 rigs = 70k/sols).

The AMDs 470,480 are poor Equihash performers but better something than nothing.

The NVIDIAs are very good Equihash performers - too bad the NVIDIAs are only about 40% of the total rigs.

All on smOS Linux.

EWBF/NVDIA
--server btcg.miningspeed.com --user mxvc3oiidWytyQ2XoSrzT7GpPjUeC1guNt.$RigName --pass x --port 3092

Optiminer v1.7/AMD
-s btcg.miningspeed.com:3092 -u mxvc3oiidWytyQ2XoSrzT7GpPjUeC1guNt.$RigName -p x

Notes:
1. The BTG address used here are samples given by Pool for testnet.
2. Tested 1 x GPU for AMD and another 1 x GPU for NVIDIA
3. There is another batch of 30 rigs (Nanos and R9-390s)... but will remain put because my other members don't support BTG  Huh

Man thats alot of sols lol, I dont know if i will move my 20 amd rigs to bcg , my 8 nvidia rigs will be moving forcsure
Im using suprnovas pool though, I like it cuz they keep the workers from all my other algos mined on thier platform
and i can mine to the pool until i get a valid btg transfer address.

I think if i move all my rigs id be looking at 50k sols but ill be happy with
the 20k sols from the 1070s, 1080tis and the Vegas

@citronik why use optiminer vs claymores zec miner? its easier to monitor and pretty much same hash and fee?
1771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Imagine you have $50000 to build ETH mining farm, what HW you recommend? on: November 04, 2017, 11:41:06 PM
omg no buy vega 56, $399 right now they hash at 40 eth vs 31 and cost the same and make even more mining cryptonight
1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: November 04, 2017, 11:39:22 PM
Unbelievable how I keep seeing threads here by retarded D3 optimists. Is Bitmain paying you to post things such as, "hey u all don't know how to mine, D3 will roi in 6 months, just wait for price of dash to go up"? No matter what the Dash price does, I currently wouldn't buy a D3 for $400 and that's because after the baikals and novemebr D3s are delivered at the end of November, you will be seeing network hashrates around 700-1000 TH/s maybe more. And guess what the revenue will be then? It will be at most 3$ a day with electricity costing almost as much. So YES a $400 NOISY HEATER is what you'll buy. There were plenty of warnings about this but nobody believed them, even the final dash batch sold out at an unbelievable pace Sad

Every x11 owner is going to have a hard time and Baikal owners will prefer other profit algo. End november even around 10 cents per kwh can be negative.
yeah the baikals wont be mining x11 lol what are u smoking? unlike the D3
they are not a one trick pony and  on too of that far more power effcient too

3 vega 56 flashed with the 64 vega rom

max i can get is 1500 on all three using CAST-XMR , on top of that the hashrate keeps dropping after a high start and settles in at 1400ish

using 1110 core and 1075 mem 20% + power lim and 900 mv on core and mem

Any help ? i see 1200 before i do the disable enable trick , and I do see the error that says blockchain drivers not detected

but I am using the robin hood blockchain drivers , the aug 23 drivers seem to constantly crash my system
you need the blockchain drivers aug 23. no way around it. if desperate, start with a fresh windows install.

yeah even on a fresh install BSOD when i run it ok thanks tho

whats not to like 1070ti? perfect card it can mine dagger at 90watts with 32mh/s and mine all shitcoins algos (nist5, skunk, phi, neoscrypt, skein...) almost as fast as 1080. Its the perfect mining card. You can mine everything with it and its dead easy to cool. Cant imagine better card for mining. And I got almost evry card out there since 280x...

best cardright now is the vega 56 costs under 400

mines eth at 42 mhs 140 watt, zec at 500 , cryptonight at 1500

it smokes the 1070ti
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Cast XMR] high speed XMR/CryptoNight miner for RX Vega GPUs (2 KHash/s) on: November 04, 2017, 09:57:14 AM
that aug 23rd driver just crashed my 3 vega 56 build, only the robin hood drivers seem to work

I cant get over 1500 hash using your cast-xmr , and thats with 1400 core, 1090 mem and 20% power limit.

My garage is quite cool temps not over 70 degrees so its not throttling

help pls

you have noticed that the latest version of Afeterburner allows you to go to -200coreV

Funny the AB dev posted here a while back and I requested this feature, no shout out to me tho smh  Smiley Smiley

vega seems weak for ZEC, only 500 sols or so with core 1700 and mem 1100
