1761  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter and Raspberry Pi on: June 26, 2013, 07:46:49 AM
The Anker hubs definitely do not work with the PIs. I picked up 5 of them which I have to return because I want to go pure PI based. They partially work and look sexy. On a USB 3.0 machine they work great though.

I have ordered a hub that looks like the Anker Sad Just a thought, has anybody tried a usb 2 hub between the Pi and the Anker, Would this work?? Pi-USB2-USB3

I'm up there but it says no message verified. Not sure what I did wrong. I'll try sending another. Is there a particular format the PM needs to be?

1763  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Update - Bulk Chips on: June 26, 2013, 04:58:47 AM
Got this too.  So it looks like people who ordered the Chips early will be getting them soon.  Curious to know which of the DIYers will be showcasing working miners first.  Any guesses?
Seems like burnin is ahead right now.

I would say BKK and burnin are equal, just going at it from different directions. I think they will both be ready before mass chips arrive.. Wink

so what does order ready mean

canary has like $20,000 of funds now

I believe it means that you have verified the payment and given all details necessary, ready so he can just post them when they arrive.
correct!
:)which means I got everything right first time with this group buy, am getting better.

I really wish there was a way of seeing what payment address was used in bitcoinqt without having to look on the blockchain, I think this is the biggest issue with payments for these group buys...(or am i missing something)

1766  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike 1 Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner on: June 24, 2013, 11:43:27 PM
BKK will be selling kits I believe, there will be plenty others ready to build with your chips and a few selling complete miners...

No offense meant... Shocked
1767  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike 1 Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner on: June 24, 2013, 11:33:34 PM
Whatever you do, please sell these a reasonable price!

I want you to make money, a shit load of it, but have the decency not to rape us on price.

These are really intended as DIY, Go rape yourself bro  Wink

After 1000 will you be selling for the "  If you reach the total volume of 1,000 USB sticks, price is dropped to 0.89 each." mentioned in official post?   Thanks in advance and sorry to bug you but i couldn't find this being asked.
this guy busts his ass to put all this together. He's sold way over 2000 sticks, I think he deserves a little something for the time he has put in...

Agreed. I personally don't care if he kept every bit of it. After taking in and re-shipping over 1k sticks Canary definitely deserves the extra $10 profit per stick.

+1000 , However If he wanted too then I would prefer an extra Erupter, maybe for those who ordered 10+.....

1770  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Need your help, new Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: June 24, 2013, 07:57:06 AM
If you're looking for a cheap LCD to use with the pi, I've actually used these LCDs with an arduino but would be a good general status display for minepeon or whatever. Can't beat six bucks for a serial TFT

 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-8-Serial-SPI-TFT-LCD-Module-Display-PCB-Adapter-Power-IC-SD-Socket-128X160-/370677515951?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item564e1a06af

There are bigger ones for more money, but I haven't tried them

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2-8-Inch-240-x-320-DOTS-Touch-TFT-LCD-Display-Module-SPI-Interface-ILI9320-/310610762220?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4851d819ec

They look ideal, unfortunately no shipping to NZ Sad .

Neil
They ship to AU, I can forward one on to you if you like..

Maybe polish and russian sounds for You like korean and japanese to me?

Why Germany looks like a russian enclave. We`re living in 2k+ times now.

Sorry, no offence, I just thought every child east of Germany has to learn Russian in school  Cheesy

There are around 3 million ethnic Russians living in Germany at the moment. We have Russian supermarkets, nightclubs, restaurants and so on. They are an interesting addition to our community. No offence here as well  Wink

If you wish for any messages to be translated English/Russian you can PM me and I will forward them on.
(my wife is native russian.) Wink

regarding I2C:

Hardware supported (which is the only possibilty at the slave) I2C is a pain - all states must be handled correctly else I2C will stall.
This means testing & debugging each step on master and slave (which is a lot of work because I have only 1 pickit).

Today I have finished the I2C code, seems to work now very well and without race conditions - fixed them today.
For tomorrow a test with 3 slave pics (currently only 1 during development) is planned.
If everything works - I will send the code to bkkcoins.

+1 G8 others are helping bkk where they can. I would help too if I understood half of what was said here... Huh
1774  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BOUNTY] Info leading to criminal arrest in ASIC Theft. Escrow via John K. on: June 21, 2013, 11:45:58 PM
For those of you with ASICs on order, or coming in soon, be careful! There are criminals out there willing to break into your house and take your property. It's easy to forget how much this hardware is worth, and what people are willing to do, when you paid a fraction of the current value.
Well in that case...

I would like everyone to know that the State in which I currently reside in has a castle doctrine. I keep a Glock 19 under my pillow, a Mossberg 500 loaded with 00 Buckshot next to my bed, a revolver in my desk, multiple rifles around my house, and a Makarov in my car. All of my firearms are always loaded. I am well trained, and equally skilled in all of my firearms. I will not hesitate.

OK. This is just a little crazy.

It's money, man. Don't shoot somebody over some money. It's one thing to defend yourself and another entirely to kill a man over some fucking hardware.

Criminals deserve jail time, but could you live with yourself for being the sort of person who is so covetous that he'd kill over money? How would you feel? What about the court fees and potential civil penalties when the family sues the shit out of you?

You don't know why he's stealing it, either. Maybe he's got a sick kid. You don't know - how would you feel if you shot a man dead who was desperate to get treatment for his son?

If you're going to shoot an unarmed intruder, at least make it the lower leg.

I have no feelings for liars & thieves.Especially thieves,if I catch someone breaking into my car or house,I WILL SHOOT them,if they die,no great loss  Angry

Its not about the money, its about protecting ones self & family. In most cases during a breakin/carjacking these lowlifes will KILL YOU & have NO remorse...........................

CrazyGuy,I wish you the best of luck & hope you "get your man"  Cool

I once had my car done, on returning to my car I saw the door open, glass on the floor and a pair of legs sticking out....
So I run up power kicked the door on him and pinned him down..

Turns out to be a tramp (who came by after the breakin) getting an apple I had left on the back seat ..

Best we dont go around shooting people ay.. Wink

Quit? Let the riot begin:

The Firmware is not yet production ready cgminer throws a shitton of errors on starting.
AND the chip currently runs at 128Mhz because its not properly cooled, i have tested it at 256mhz too and it works but its too hot for long tests.

Come on BKK, ur falling behind Shocked

Seriously though, just take your time. We are all behind you...
