1782  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 02, 2022, 01:25:52 PM
Mas mabuti cgurong wag nalang sabihin about sig campaigns, instead crypto trader or hodler nalang.
1783  Economy / Economics / Re: This why wall street are rich and you are poor on: February 02, 2022, 08:49:32 AM
They borrow money to buy assets before bull run
They use borrowed money to make more money.
If u dont learn how to use DEbt to create wealth then u stay poor all ur life.

U never use loaned funds just to buy things for u if u dont have ur own money enough.
First rule you use loaned money to make money.
Stocks and crypto u borrow always before bull run and sell ur assets even the real estate when markets are booming u pay back the loan u wait the market drops u repeat the process.

If anyone start doing this no profit for wall street wealthy guys anymore thats how powerful is investing money what u borrowed.
Wall Street are never poor to begin with, the rules of borrowing money is having something to tender as collateral just in case, lenders don't just lend out money to anyone, you have to worth something yourself.
True. You cannot just easily take a loan without any collateral to present that can also cover up the worth on the amount you wish to borrow. This is what most of the traditional lenders too.

However, lending money is not at all times productive. Because there are cases that your business had boom in its first months, but later on started to crash or collapse. Its like crypto too, there are no guarantees that you will always gain profits, as the market has its own flaws too. So if you wish to borrow money, make sure that you also have other stable sources of income that will pay your loan when crypto fails to do so.
1784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities Embracing bitcoin because of Divorce? on: February 02, 2022, 08:11:24 AM
I think this is complicated, will any on them wiling to share the private key to their bitcoins?

What if they claim that they have lost the private keys? can the court force someone to divulge the keys or how can they proved that they are telling the truth about losing their private keys?

So yeah, I guess pre-nuptial agreement is a thing to do, and most likely this is what celebrities are doing right now isn't it?
If the other half refuses to share his bitcoin asset to his partner by lying that he lost the private keys, then he will be put into further investigation. However, if the bitcoin asset has been acquired before the marriage, once the couple decides to divorce, that asset or property will remain as the person's separate property, so the other half does not have the power to split the asset.
1785  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade-in between the lines on: February 01, 2022, 08:38:24 AM

It quite clear to all of us that trading is not an easy task and if an individual lack a good trading skills it may bead to loses, this aspect has made many to decide to hold rather than trading to avoid mistakes.
But in doing that I have observed that while the crypto currency market is highly volatile so if you can flow with the wave of the market one can still make good profits but again its not a guarantee and not an investment advice.
DO YOU AGREE WITH THIS STAT?
No matter what strategy we've used, can't just avoid mistakes and even losses. Remember that trading is not an easy job, plus the volatility of the market makes things even harder to speculate. For we are in trading, we could base a lot of things around that we think could affect the price. If that we need to hold, then we should to it as a trader is not always a trader, we can also consider ourselves as holder which is very often to happen.
Newbies need to remember this, trading may seem like an easy occupation as the only thing you need to do is to buy low and sell high according to them, however, trading is an environment in which you are competing against millions of people trying to do the same, it is the equivalent of running a marathon against millions of people, so only a selected few will earn profits from trading and yet newbies think that they will earn a fortune without making any effort at all, while their competitors never stop learning and use every single hour of free time to improve their system.
And that belief and perception of trading as an easy task have taken over most of them, trading requires skills and expects before you can gain in trading you have to develop you self over time if not so amateur trader most times run into huge loses.
I will adapt to the fact that for one to trade in Bitcoin at any point either spot or feature trading one needs skills.
Not only skills and strategies, but patience is highly needed too as the market is hard to predict due to its volatility. However, only newbies believe that trading is easy and can be a get-rich-quick scheme because they are seeing it in an inexperienced view. But the moment they started trading, that's the time they will realize that trading has bigger risk compared to hodling alone. And you will never win a trade if you never experience losses at first. I guess that's the nature of trading, although it can be learned but in a hard way.
1786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Goldman Sachs projection regarding BTC on: February 01, 2022, 08:03:33 AM
Not so much because of increasing price, but the ability to keep a high average of appreciating value I would say,,, I mean, you just have to be a holder to understand that you could even lose value over 2 years more and more, but eventually, if you wait 4 or 5 years or much longer, it is always worth more than the price you paid, which also makes DCA an interesting way to keep ensuring your value/networth keeps growing!
Bitcoin price at $100k is really possible but there are no higher chances that it will happen this year. But, according to Goldman, bitcoin could only reach $100k if it replaces gold as a store of value. I guess its not. Bitcoin is already seen today as the highest store of value than gold and if the adoption of bitcoin could turn into massive, bitcoin could even surpass the price prediction of Goldman.

You should look up Goldman Sachs history they even said about 100k Bitcoin price last year but with a lot of IFs,,, which I would read as a "when". Why? Because all the things like volatility and store of value and mass adoption (all the factors preventing Bitcoin price) are all no longer a matter of if but when.

Again I remind projection here proves one thing and one thing: price appreciates over time in long term.
Not only Goldman, but a lot of big names have already predicted that bitcoin will achieved $100k price but there are no fixed dates, and until now it remains a prediction. However, Goldman already reveals that the road to $100k for bitcoin will only happen once the investors will see it as a digital gold. Read it here: https://cryptoslate.com/goldman-sachs-reveal-how-bitcoin-can-reach-100k-in-2022/

Still, there's no guaranteed date when will all investors see it as a digital gold.
1787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 31, 2022, 11:31:54 PM
Hi everyone, it's been awhile, just wanted to tell you that I still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too!

Some of you may say it's a dumb decision or risky, but I'm all for BTC and positive about it. To the Moon!

Whoah, that is some serious dedication that you have OP!

Given the fact that you have not cashed out your BTCs yet, I am assuming that you are somehow financially comfortable with your situation? If I were in your shoes, I would probably cashed out my BTCs when its price reached an ATH on the last quarter of 2017 ($20,000). Since you also do not see the need of converting them to cash, them HODLing them is definitely the way to go.

Generally, I see BTCs as a form of investment and money. The only time that I see the need to cash them out is that if I am in a situation where I need the money for some emergency purpose.
So i am just curious, to what price will you eventually sell your bitcoins? Selling at the previous ATH was already a huge profits for most of us, even if others are not really in need for money, but they always see to it that every time a new ATH achieved, its a good time to sell so we can prepare for the next bear season. For me, that defines a wise investor. Until i heard your story, you are that one of a kind. So keep hodling, but always remember that selling at peaks is also a wise thing to do so you can roll your profits and buy back again.
1788  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy Crypto Or Have Fun Staying Poor! on: January 31, 2022, 05:39:40 PM
I have come up with a simple understanding that in this life, money kept in the bank will not yield profit for you rather it will make you poor cos you keep withdrawing it to solve your daily needs.
Money invested in legit firms will make you rich but if you desire to be wealthy in life, invest in crypto.
The choice is yours to choose

It's true if we just kept our money in the bank it will decrease time by time but the bank also has their interest program which rather than keeping your money in the bank you can join their interest program. Invest in crypto also have a risk so doesn't mean if we invest in crypto we've become a rich person and investing in crypto is not that easy especially their altcoins.
Investing in fiat or crypto do not guarantee profits all the time, as there were times where we end up losing. And definitely, both of them can always make us poor. But skills and strategies really matter. Even in fiat or the traditional investment, if you know how to roll your capital and makes it work every time, you will really become rich in time. But let's just say there are bigger opportunities in crypto that will make us rich in less time. Although it has higher risk, but it gives us more satisfaction when it comes to profit making.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Whyte on: January 28, 2022, 09:40:08 PM
I think this is another great fight and as always, I can never bet against Fury as he is the king of the heavyweight division.
The poll is not up yet, but you know what fighter I will vote to win.

So what we are going to see is this fight and a rematch of Joshua and Usyk.

Wilder seemed lost now.  Grin
1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 28, 2022, 08:45:44 PM

Ugas style may not work against Spence, but I still trust he could deliver a good fight. I feel that this fight is going to be close and though in the end, Spence will win but he will not dominate Ugas here. There are lots of speculation in this fight, but let's just see who's gonna win in this anticipated fight.

It will not work for Spence because Spence will make sure he is healthy and could destroy his defense. Ugas fought Pacman that has a problem with his mobility so he won the fight, if we the fight, Pacman really have a problem with his foot that he cannot use his speed, so Ugas took advantage of that using his good defense and long reach. The strategy was very simple but it gave him a unanimous win.
1791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 28, 2022, 08:25:02 PM

But isn't it final already that they will resume next month on the 1st week?

No import, I think it's not exciting, however, I would just accept it as it's better to have that than no PBA at all.
I hope there's no more changes and we will finally see the return of the PBA conference, I think it's almost a month already since it was stopped.

I will echo you from here, whatever the decision will take place as long as the league will go back, it's better than nothing at all, i also don't have any idea with what would be the case for the imports but for sure we will see that once the PBA resume, only a few more days and we will see our favorite team and players to be back in actions.

Though still depends on how the PBA will announce it but so far there are no changes after they inform the public that first week of
Feb they will start the game and resume.

Also, until there's no assurance that they will resume 1st week next month, let us not expect a lot as we might only be discouraged. of course we want to see some action again, but the PBA has been pause for now and all we have to hope is that there will be no more problem that will come in the next few days.

I guess it was previously announced, but of course, we have to see them make a further announcement about the status of the current NBA season. I am optimistic that they will resume soon and it's not gonna be a long wait for us since, in just over a week, we will know if they'll really resume or not.

In online, there's no much news but only an speculation so far.
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: January 28, 2022, 01:57:59 PM
Murata is not an easy opponent for him and for sure he will be tested. But I think GGG can win the fight and maybe can score a knock out if it presents itself in the fight.

I beg to disagree, Murata is not going to win against GGG. Though at 40's he still has the power and Murata is not Canelo so I only see a typical type of fight where GGG will be declared as a winner in most likely by KO win.

the betting odds tells and obvious status of this fight.

Quote
Golovkin is listed as the -700 favorite in this fight. Murata comes in as the +450 underdog.

1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: January 28, 2022, 01:32:08 PM
Of course, for now it is the right time to buy some potential altcoins to invest in the future, because now we will go through a bear market and I think it will be a long time to return to the highest increase as happened in 2021, but we also have to be careful in choosing coins, because not all coins that have large volumes will increase rapidly all need a boost.
If it's only about the volume, then it's easy to find the coins on that criteria.

Sometimes we have to look at the low volume with good potential as they are the coins that could give us a decent profit and could even help us make a fortune in investing. We should learn how to diversify,t hat's the key to success, lower exposure on high risk assets while high exposure on low risk assets.
1794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: January 28, 2022, 08:06:52 AM
This is ideal and that is what most traders expect. But somehow this is difficult to control consciously. When the market movement from a weak mentality leads us into the market game, it is as if we are indoctrinated to follow it. But as you said, trading is in our control.

Therefore we need really serious training because in trading we have to adjust to the trading targets that we have set.

You have to realize that there is nothing that you could do which would "trick" market to do something else. Even when you are a whale, only nations can do it and maybe super famous people like Elon. Even that is not easy, Warren Buffett tried to say bitcoin is bad for a decade now and people still ignored, but somehow cared about what Elon said. So all in all not many people can control the market, so all we have to do is find a strategy, find a way that would work for us, and then just keep doing that no matter what the weak mentality people say. Just forget about rest of the world and keep on doing your own way, if it profits you then it profits you.
We can be the best traders we want to be but that does not mean that we are capable to control and win over the market. Having this unpredictable and very volatile market can be our best enemy, but if we just learn to ride with it and never be affected with greed, we can always win our trades but not with the market. As there was a saying that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Successful traders have always their plan written on the stones. 1795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 28, 2022, 07:32:41 AM
Overnight bitcoin fell from its initial pump to $42k and dropped back to $38k of course this will be a panic that happens is bearish not a real rally will the bear market continue to rule the current market? I think a lot of people think a bear market is coming and in 2022 we can't expect much more for the first quarter, but we'll try in the next quarter how to see how the other big investors react.

I will remain vigilant for me this is still unstable from the current situation.

It's trying to reclaim the $38k price after a huge fall to $32k. So now we are in a pump, not sure how sustainable it is, but at least we are in the green in the last 2 days or so. A good indication that after so much FUD and the Omicron effect, the price is way above as what we are expected. And we are not even at the end of first quarter, maybe we can still maintain this growth to at least $50k.

It is still at this point, I thought that we will maintain the $38,000 line, but it did fall, but we have rebounded to $38,000++ now. So we will see if in this weekend we can sustain and end the month with at least a decent price and not below $30,000. So we have hit the bottom right now and there are a lot of leg room for us to work back to $50,000 in the first quarter.
I don' think having the current price at $37,083 could be its bottom. But let's wait and see as there are no negative news in the market that could pull the price again. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, but i always believe that the start of the year is mostly the bearish season. And i expect to have a lot of crypto big swings to continue at the start of the year.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the safest of the 'safest ways' to store Bitcoin? on: January 28, 2022, 07:00:03 AM
All most half of bitcoin users secure their wallet on smartphone and computers which is very easy for thief to access the wallet, if not properly secured. The best way to secure your wallet is having alternative devices where you can keep you wallet safe and your private key and don't keep the devices with you maybe you can keep it in bank.

It is ideal if you are using a wallet which is the use of the full potential by the owner its not ideal to use a wallet like you cannot handle most of the transactions you made such as fees, and other security features. The alternate device you are talking about is the hardware wallet such as ledger, trezor etc. Currently, im using a trezor which is ideal to use but if you don't have a budget yet there's an application to use such as the electrum they have their executable file and apk too.
There are a lot of wallets available in the market and one of it is the hardware wallet which i think is the safest one to use. But it depends on your own preference as every user has its own set standards. You can read it here.. https://e-cryptonews.com/what-are-the-safest-ways-to-store-bitcoins-in-2021/

However, even if you have the safest wallet to store your bitcoin, if you are not responsible from making it safe and secure at all times, then you will still lose everything you have in your wallet.
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about CELO coin? on: January 27, 2022, 11:34:57 PM
I ever joined airdrop with CELO coin trough with OKEX exchange and I think not really worth become an investment with this coin, right now price dump almost $0.1 and first time I received this coin have value almost above $1. If price dump drastically I think better looking other coin for investing and looks not safety with CELO coin. I checked CELO have listed on many exchange market but still not guarantee with price keep going up exactly when bitcoin dump CELO coin most dump than bitcoin price.
If the price of CELO coin will keep on falling dramatically, its better if we can turn into another investment that will create future profits. But as for my assumption, its hard to find profitable coins these days as the bearish market is on going, which makes the market more unstable. If we can see bitcoin in a bad shape right now, then we might conclude that most of the coins right now will have a hard time to grow.
1798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: January 27, 2022, 10:25:10 PM
Does this mean that we have felt the bottom and there will be a rebound soon? Is it time to buy?
The word "Soon" has a broad meaning.
It maybe a week or a month or in a couple of weeks or maybe 6 months.

Regarding the bottom, I don't think that this is the bottom already. I expect Bitcoin to go as low as $30,000 but I might be wrong. With regards to rebound, it will not happen at least in the next 2-4 weeks. We are in a bear market and this will take months before we might see a upwards movement if there will. If the sentiments will change in the next months then we might see a rebound with the market.

Is it time to buy?? Hell Yeah!!!!!! If you have spare money, just buy those top coins and hold and be patient. We've seen Bitcoin went as high as $69,000 already so many are expecting that this will happen. When? We don't know but for sure Bitcoin will reach that price again.
The bearish season may even last for almost a year if there are really no significant news that will change the market trend. And since the value of the coins are now dependent on the market trends, so more likely there will be a more dump that will still happen soon. And bitcoin will have more chances to reach a lower value like falling below $30k or maybe $20k. So this means a perfect time to buy, as bitcoin is dropping more as well as those altcoins that are heavily affected with bitcoin.
1799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Comparison of Bitcoin price fluctuations with other coins. on: January 27, 2022, 07:45:07 PM
Bitcoin is their origin, that's why altcoins follow bitcoin on whatever trend it will make. Bitcoin is the dictator of the market, if it falls down, the rest will fall down as well. They have their own season but mostly, altcoin will definitely follow Bitcoin movements. Sometimes there are some coins that's not affected, I mean they are not instantly fall down when Bitcoin falls down but they will do the same thing after some days or weeks, it depends.
Bitcoin and altcoins are said to rise and fall simultaneously.  This is because bitcoin always take the lead and receives higher recognition compared to other coins. But in some cases, different scenario happens. Like if we are having a bull run, bitcoin price goes up, while altcoins fall down. But mostly, they all rise and fall together. And the current market situation is a perfect example for it as their prices go seemingly together.
1800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 27, 2022, 11:38:11 AM

Mostly, the popular boxer will get the better odds or the favorite to win the fight, in this fight, we know who is the popular boxer although no one of the two is a champion. We stick with what we think and bet on the boxer we believe will get a win on this fight. Thurman has been so successful in the past (less Pacman fight), so I think he is still on his prime and could still win a battle.

I agree, especially with this division like what I have said the trainings and drills to condition his body is not hard for him to achieved,

temporary absence but for sure he still doing some daily routine to make sure that his body is still fit and once this kind of opportunities

knocks, he's willing and ready to take another shot.

The only thing right now is the assumptions of every fan. We can point out our opinions, but the outcome still depends when the fight takes place.

No one could really ascertain the result of this fight, whether it could be Thurman or Barrios will come out as a winner, but knowing how aggressive boh fighters are, I like to expect that we will see a great fight where no one will back down until the end, however, we have our own choice and as for me, it's always Thurman from the start.
