This is why I have JB on ignore. The mere fact that this thread is longer than the AM thread is a testament to the ridiculous content.

As far as price, LC would do extremely well to get to ~ .08 BTC per share or a value of $100M.

.08 per share would be awesome!

Yes - it would be at the extreme high end where LC captures well over 10% of the hashrate AND sells a ton of hardware. Consider it a not to exceed, in my opinion.
I have a strong feeling it'll be difficult for these shares to even break 0.02 BTC at most. Just a feeling, because that would be nearly 10x the price now. 0.08 BTC would be 40x the current price, I think there's a very slim chance of that ever happening, but who knows.

Cryptsy seems to be completely broken at the moment, so it might be a while before this gets sorted out.
Could be worse, lots of people have negative balances!
Yeah I have a couple of negative balances too. :/

I manually sent a NVC transaction around half an hour ago and it hasn't shown up in my Cryptsy wallet yet, not in confirmed or unconfirmed, and hasn't auto-sold either.

Can you check transactions for my account to see if it went through flound? My multipool name is the same name as here.

I'd appreciate it, and I know I sent it to the correct address, because I've used it before for Cryptsy deposits.

Never mind, the money is in the account. Time to complain to Cryptsy about this...
1784  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 22, 2013, 04:37:23 PM
Well it looks like that address is getting ~0.11BTC every hour, which is equal to around 600GH/s. That's if they're mining.

Well 600GH/s is better than nothing but it's definitely not 2TH/s or 4TH/s.
1785  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 20, 2013, 01:38:06 PM
Yup I'm already on the bASIC-mining boat since the IPO Wink
Oh awesome possum! I like bASIC, one of the best managed shares I've found on BTCT. Smiley

Change of topic here: What are the chances that Labcoin will actually send out dividends for the amount they've received so far to their address?

Probably not very likely, lol.
1786  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 20, 2013, 01:34:09 PM
Just one update of substance from Labcoin and it's back on. Grin

You are in a "hope" mode. Don't forget to listen to the market sometimes.
Nah, I was responding to Rulother. Like him, I am already out.

My bad. Any idea where to invest now ?
Well bASIC doesn't manufacture ASICs, they just mine. I'd recommend them, creativex is extremely active on the forums + he has a great reputation from what I've seen. He answers all my questions quickly (check the bASIC-mining thread here)
1787  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 20, 2013, 01:32:04 PM
Holy smokes, just got online. 12 hours ago price was at 0.0026 or whatever (don't mind if i forget a 0 or two Wink ) and now it's down to 0.0013.

That's crazy! At least I only have one share in Labcoin, lol. I'm kind of hoping they pull it off and start hashing but now it's looking grim but I'm along for the ride, it's only a small amount that's on the table for me.
1788  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 19, 2013, 01:24:09 AM
I'm a bit drunk but what significance does 3 BTC have here?

If you mine solo and find a block doesn't it still pay 25 BTC plus transactions?  If you mine in a pool then isn't what matters your rate of finding shares/hour?  I can't think of any reason why 3 BTC is relevant to anything - it's 100 GH/S mining for Y*X time or 1 GH/S mining for 100*Y*X time : it's exixtence says nothing about what X or Y is.
A bit drunk?

Please GTFO off bitcointalk, have a couple more drinks and then come back.  Cheesy

WE NEED SOLID FACTS LABCOIN. GIVE US PROOF OF YOUR HASHING, A PAYOUT ADDRESS WITH CONSTANT PAYMENTS, SOMETHING TO PROVE YOU'RE HASHING.

That's all we need.... it would have avoided over 100 pages of nonsense IMO...

**New Motion Posted**

Quote
Motion to allow management to resell EOL equipment.

bASIC-Mining management shall be authorized to sell mining equipment deemed to be approaching the end of it's useful service life. The proceeds from any such sale shall be applied, in it's entirety, toward the purchase price of more efficient mining equipment.

This motion can be discussed here:

Yeah I'll be using my miner to keep my basement warm lol. It might be a nice boost of heat, 600W would do a fair bit.

I'm also at the break even point too right now, pretty much have paid off my single 7950 that I bought back in July so I'm happy. Smiley Don't think I'll be buying any more mining stuff either.

May I add to the motion that priority of selling goes to shareholders?

Hi almwaysa, your comment was somewhat unclear to me. Did you mean to suggest that bASIC-Mining should give first right of refusal to purchase this hardware to shareholders?
I think he meant to say that he would like shareholders to decide what hardware is sold first, not first dibs on hardware that is being sold.

Ex. shareholders vote to sell xxxx miner first, and then zzzz miner afterwards.

Equiv Block Erupters TODAY are 0.97 for 2.7GH

So I will offer BTC0.75 for when these will be available in November.

I'd give you BTC1.1 for delivery this week.

The math should make perfect sense.

Add the power consumption (which is more) and the hub to run them you are looking over 1BTC and higher cost to run.

Each block erupter takes, what? 2.5W? He'd be buying 8 of them, and 8x2.5W=20W. Power difference isn't much I'm sure, sure it'll cost maybe 5 cents extra per day to run, you can find 5 cents on the ground everyday though.  Grin

Hubs cost around $20 too, so his total cost would be around 1.1BTC which is what he's offering you for delivery this week, I think that's a fair price, especially that there's a good chance he might never break even with this miner.

I think it's a good motion. Would make more sense for the long term to sell this equipment, plus the sooner it's sold the more bASIC might be able to get for it. More efficient equipment would be awesome too, lower power costs, more profit!

Is something up with payments?

In the past 24 hours I've made about 0.004BTC with 1MH/s using multipool + 1 coin auto send to cryptsy for auto-sell.

Usually would be getting around 0.01BTC minimum, usually around 0.025BTC.

0.01 0.015 BTC per MH/s is the best you can get nowadays and it's going down every day. I can barely pay electricity with a 0.08$/kWh rate. This altcoin mining game is almost over.
Hope it doesn't end for awhile, I've been making solid profits for the last two or three months mining alt-coins.

But if that ever does happen... I'll be getting out of crypto markets so fast... lol.

Well I kind of see mining as farming - please excuse how random it is, I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada - pretty much the farming capital of the world.

Anyway, back in the day you could make a living off of a small amount of land. Now a days it's more and more bigger companies owning more pieces of land, and not many people can survive off of farming small time anymore, not like in the early 1900's.

However people who still own land (it's quite expensive as well, a quarter section goes for around $300k, a quarter section is equal to about 160 acres) seem to be renting it out to the bigger players and striking a deal with them, they get paid a certain % of the total yield of that land.

So, I predict mining will turn into how farming is now, except I'm not quite sure how renting land out to bigger plays will relate to mining, maybe smaller miners will rent their equipment out to bigger players for a certain % back? Who knows.

Well it looks like Labcoin might be mining: http://blockchain.info/address/1NBDEAYH49tZvFMJ95oa4kYrqgecgnc16C

Someone posted this address in the main thread and that's about the output that 2TH/s should be doing. Not sure what the chances are that it is Labcoin though, because someone said its out of Chicago, and Labcoin isn't located there.

Hi guitarplinker. If labcoin or TheSwede75 didn't post the address or confirm that it's theirs then there's no reason to invest based upon the submitted address. Labcoin is playing games and stalling for a reason. Their credibility is shot, their website still has not been updated beyond 180nm chip talk. The last posts I read were from labcoin and he was talking about holding on for results until Halloween. There's no reason to invest until they regain some credibility.

Cheers.
That's all very true. Although that address did make the price go up a little bit, not very much though.

I guess I'm spreading the good news I can find around it to make myself a bit more positive that the 40 cents I invested in them isn't completely gone and it isn't 100% confirmed a scam yet/  Cry

Well it's sitting at 25.5BTC right now and ends in 7 hours. Smiley

The Genesis Block says it won't ever break even though, it'll be at best $800 in the hole if you paid around $3700 for it. Not sure if their estimates are accurate for long term growth though, I think when KnC ships it'll be more than 100% increases per month.
