1) gambling has existed for thousands of years. It is in our human nature to gamble. Something about testing that hunter-gatherer instinct in some way that triggers something in our brains that most humans just seem to like. Or maybe not most, but at least a percentage of us really, really love to gamble.
2) a percentage of that group that likes gambling are problem gamblers. A percentage of the drinkers are problem drinkers. This doesn't mean we shouldn't make beer.

Question, is rake being collected on the OFCp ..01 tables? Krill did move not at all.
"no rake microstakes" will continue at SwCPoker, and I'm considering making that so for every .01-.02 table. so you won't be getting any kril, but you will pay nothing and use the SwC cardroom for free!
It is cool for swc to just help people move their cash to the newsite , we have seen too many crook sites that puts minimal withdrawal amounts and get away with it.

Making your poker room honest & ethical is unfortunately a novel idea. Never stealing from players and always fixing issues is how we built SealsWithClubs, and that ethos continues with SwC Poker. Is deposits working? me and other users haven't received their deposits and its already 1 confirmation for 30 minutes.  Checking this now. |

connectivity continues to improve & we have raised the stakes a bit.
Let me know if there is a limit / game combo you want if it's not there. we'll eventually bring back the launcher but bigger fish to fry ATM.
MTT schedule should return in a limited fashion in the next 48-72 and barring setbacks ramp up to something that looks like a proper menu within 2 weeks.
Table Starter should be paid for the first time on Monday, but I reserve the right to push that to next Monday if that system isn't quite ready yet. We'll be trying for it though.
Affiliate system in the same boat, should be here Monday-ish but no GTDs.
Then after all that we'll start on clients. Android is likely going to be coming first. Then Mac / Linux should come close together after that.
It's a lot of work but I'm confident ST7 will eat it up.

you got lot to fix, anyway thats fine considering the site is pretty new and it is usual for a big site to encounter things like this , just make sure, u fix them right micon, goodluck  tyvm for the love, it's a ton of work for many humans, we'll get it done and if anyone is negatively affected during the initial start period I'll make it right. |

The new software is great, just one thing. In the new software, it seems that it is possible to sit on the table, with a lesser buy in amount, after switching seats.
So if I started with 5 chips(which is the min buy in) , and ran it upto 10, then usually it shouldn't allow me to sit down with anything less than 10 until I leave the table for an hour or so. But now, I am able to buy back in, with 5 chips, if I just switch my seat.
"rathole protection" - it is currently off but will be turned on soon. There was a bug in the software and we are fixing it, it will take over 1 week though. I doubt it will take 1 month. It is very hard to start a bitcoin poker site in 1 week, and we remain a security-first organization. Rathole protection is an important part of cash games and we'll have it soon - but wallet security comes first. Oh, and there is a 5 Chip OFC/p freeroll in ~20 minutes. If you haven't tried this fun new format, please take a shot for less than free - it's been wildly popular. I love the structure Glitch has on this one right now, it's 50 players --> winner in about 1 hour. We'll have deeper OFC/paments in the future, but for these 5 Chip freerolls, great fun and doesn't take all day. |

1) yes, running lots of freerolls during this initial launch period 2) that freeroll is likely dead but the data it generates for us is valuable. We are now writing a system to auto-pay out failed tournaments at ICM rates. It's not ready yet, msg These are the voyages. 3) "little BTC" in a bit, 25 chip 1k GTD. BIG BTC back next week. 4) 5 Chip OFC/p freeroll after that, it's just too fun IMO |

I am still waiting to come back, because it says that no e-mail address is registered to my account. I have even gone back to old site and resubmitted with a new e-mail address (not even my original one), and tried to request code, and it says no e-mail address attached to account. Hopefully soon there will be ways to fix this SealsWithClubs is dumping email connections to SwCPoker every few days. It's a good chance you will recover your account. We are just now developing the tools to properly handle this situation in an efficient way. Give us a week, we'll have a process. |

Been back for a while, forgot 157 players ATM Pretty sick for just a couple days in... other bitcoin poker sites have put up fake numbers that aren't as good. our formula is simple, and many try to copy parts of it, but never get the whole thing: 1) don't steal from players 2) charge fair rake 3) fast cashouts 4) act ethically at all times unfortunately this seems to be a unique business model in the space. I'm tickled that so many players slammed back into the site so quickly. |

ok we did some soft-rebooting thing I don't quite understand but it looks like it worked.
lots and lots of work for ST7 over the next week, then a moderate amount forever.
