I think it's best to say that the krill system is designed to be gamed - we want our players to figure out how to earn the most for the least effort. Then we will change the rules a bit.  This is supposed to be a free bonus for having been our customer for a while.  It's a totally new system that Freemoney dreamed up a few years ago.  I first thought it was horrible and demanded it be scrapped, but then over time I see it's brilliance.  Hang with us, after we upgrade our shit, I can promise you I am going to get sick with the krill program.   Many ways to earn and reap the rewards.  I think the krill-rolls will always be the centerpiece of the system, and I agree they may need balancing as time goes on.   We may have huge krill-earning promotions in the future (imagine doubling your krill after winning some month-long promotion)  The program is going to continue to stay very interesting.

Read the AMA, some interesting stuff in there.  Micon did pretty much duck the question regarding reducing the krill freerolls.

They're not as reduced as you might think.  They're less frequent, but considering the vast increases in the value of Bitcoin, are either almost as good or possibly even better than the previous krillroll setup.

I do think there should probably be more krillrolls for lower krill players just because people like to play poker, but I think the main issue there is the shitty Briggs software can't deal with 500+ players.

1)  IMO the krillrolls are dialed in to start 2014.   Casual players are able to get into the 1.25k and the 5k with low stakes and a few months of playing.  The 25k, 50k and now 150k are for our pounders or the casual players that have been around for a long time.  These are free coins given to our frequent players.  The old system was waaaaaay too generous and I feel it's balanced now.

There is zero incentive for the avg player that comprise the site and its almost a slap in face to have 150krill with 5k in chipsl given to a few players.  The 5 bitcoin 150k krill  is taking away too much from the masses for the few and should be changed.

1)  By this logic, if we removed the 150k krill-roll you would be happier?  it would no longer be a slap in the face?  IMO the 5 coin 150k krillroll cannot take anything away from the masses - because it's not aimed at the masses, and uses no other resources that would usually be spewed to the masses.  It is specifically for our frequent players that are huge krill-earners.  If you are personally not a huge krill-earner that's ok too - there is a krillroll at every level.  Think about when pokerstars introduced "Supernova Elite" - I remember being a massive multitabler of MTTs at the time, I looked at the promotion and it's value then did the calculation to see how many I would have to earn each week, and it was borderline impossible for me.  While it seems like a fun personal challenge, I doubt I will ever dedicate a year of my life to going after that - it just wasn't for me - but that didn't stop me from taking advantage of the many other smaller promotions for playing.  I never felt like 'Stars offering SNE was anything but a challenge to the top volume players.  IMO think of the 150k krillroll the same way.

Finally something that make sense. Smiley

lluboski I understand you also know our MTT schedule quite well.  Please feel free to email me if you have 1 specific tourney suggestion during what 5bet called the "dead time for reasonable MTTs" between 2-5pm EST

ST6 is going to make this latest submitted round of guarantee changes (we are simply giving away the house on MTT guarantees each week, was very good value for our MTT players during the holidays.  I assume we have bought 5bet a nice car by now.  Maybe a house, who cares, enjoy the spew while it lasts players!)  and then after that round of changes I am going to insert a 1 or 2 new GTDs.

glglglgl / I'm back from vacation and will be firing moar on SwC MTTs this weekend / obv NFL playoffs / firing huge on DFS / in the life of the pro gambler it doesn't get much better than NFL playoffs / NCAA ending footballings / SwC's BIG BTC / shit the saturday 5k overlay'd like a boss too / Friday 5k / look for new "!" marking in the lobby to show our biggest guarantees of the week / look for many, many improvements to SwC in 2014.

We gonna change the game.
648  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: January 02, 2014, 06:57:48 PM
What happened to the GaB Slow Deep 800 gtd @ 2000?  This was by far the best tourney on the site and now it has disappeared.

for the GaB MTTs, there is a nightly deepstacked 600 GTD.  head over to GaB to discuss the future for that and the others.

from SwC perspective, I am personally in charge of the MTT schedule and there is a revision that I have submitted to ST6 that we should see here soon, then after that schedule runs for a week I will be revising again.  Then again.

user FIVEbetBLUFF has been helping me with suggestions to fill in some of the gaps we have in the action.  I also feel we may have too many total MTTs in the lobby, which may be cluttering the schedule and cannibalizing each other.  I feel we all want the biggest MTTs possible, and I vow to work constantly to that end.

649  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would anyone be up for once a week online poker tournament? on: January 02, 2014, 06:50:38 PM
SwC would gladly host something small and guarantee an amount.

We can call it a "Bitcointalk Weekly" and I'll bet it will draw.  If someone wants to keep records that's always fun and we can award $100 bees brothers honey caramels and other honey-goodies basket for the 3-month champion or something like that.

I'm open to ideas / SwC is certainly here to serve this community and if it wasn't implicit we can do this tourney rake-free.

651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Micon's Dogecoin address. much begging. very worthless. I fucking love it! on: January 01, 2014, 06:00:19 AM
D6f9gWTLcLPyJWYWBjNjNEZ4Jm7pMThRXj

So i love dogecoin.  I have to run this game like I "hate" all alt-cryptos, and in reality I think they are all close-to-worthless, but I am totally inspired by dogecoin.  I love that lulz spawned a coin.  I love that the world is so crypto-crazy that the dog from 4chan has a market cap of 6M USD normalized.

Anyway, I think it's halarious what's going on in the alt-scene these days.  I check coinmarketcap on my podcast each week to lolz at it.  Cryptographic bullion.  lolz.

anyway, I am posting my dogecoin address: D6f9gWTLcLPyJWYWBjNjNEZ4Jm7pMThRXj  because I have heard ppl are basically giving it away to promote it.  I don't have enough balls to fire my 2x i7's at scrypt'ing a few up myself (lol at the block reward of random 1-1M) b/c those machines also have btc wallets on them (very stealy chance)

anywho, glglglglgl with the mad, unchecked experimentation that is the alt-cryptos.  I think it's great to fuckaround.  Hell, that's all I've done my entire life.

send me dogecoins.

652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is not a scam - and you may be making yourself vulnerable to actual scams on: January 01, 2014, 04:21:49 AM
No one can understand the foggy misleading purpose of mastercoin and ripple, so it will fail, simple as that.

#Agree

In general I think all alts go to close-to-0.  I think any alt with a strong network will always have some value as a dogecoin-like "playmoney" but I think the days of alts are numbered.  the space is simply exploding and it will collapse, IMO.

Ripple is a special one, IMO.  Ripple, like many of the alts, never answers the question "why not just use bitcoin?"

Also, it should be noted, I love the idea of Dogecoin and all it stands for.

very alt-crypto

*** News & Notes ***

1)  old guarantee levels are still in place.  TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT WHILE YOU CAN

2)  SwC is the largest bitcoin poker site, we all know that.  It is important to also remember we are the most trusted as well, having built our reputation over the last 2+ years.  We can expect many more poker sites to accept bitcoin in 2014.  Some will be fly-by-night operations, others will have money and effort backing them.  It is our goal to keep offering the best environment to play btc online poker.  I personally thank you for all of the support over the years. When something new and shiny comes along, it's best to investigate it.  I'm very happy to close 2013 as the only legitimate choice for bitcoin poker.  I don't think there will be another year without a legitimate competitor, but we will keep improving and defending what we have built.

Thanks again.

Onward into this new technology.

655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bryan 'the Icon' micon has started his own Crypto-Currency on: December 27, 2013, 08:03:24 PM
Obviously not my coin, but funny to me none the less.

Also for those that haven't heard my rants, I don't place much value in altcoins and only use bitcoin.

Did you remove free poker tournaments? I haven't opened the site for a while, now I check tournaments but I can't see free tournaments which starts every hour.
