I understand these are not likely to ROI at this time, I feel they are likely sold for novelty, teaching, or for someone to get started in this crazy game and start tinkering.  (I have been reading this thread about overclocking them - not something I'm looking to do myself - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=241652.0

PrizePool:  10 bitcoin guarantee, aka 10,000 Seals Chips.  This is a minimum guarantee, actual prizepool can be larger.

Also anyone with any feedback about this tourney I'd love to hear it.  We are always listening to our users and can really feel the love from the community.  xoxoxoxoxo

BIG BTC
time: 6pm ET / 3pm PT
buy in: 950+50 [1 bitcoin]

DON'T GET SHUT OUT | NO LATE REG

In the above situation, I should say I was dealt no cards when I posted the BB, but I still had the action stop on me.

I have seen this issue happen to me before, but not in a very long time.  It's a known display issue where according to our system you rec'd cards, the hand was fine, but you couldn't see your hole cards (which I know is extremely annoying and obviously a loss of equity - please email us and we can offer you some small compensation, such as a free FFF code, similar to these: FFF-T5F9ST36AA | FFF-5!T4STS69T | FFF-T9S6ASA453 )

thanks for playing SwC

848  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG/Casino on: August 10, 2013, 08:11:12 AM
We did do the Malaki event, but you need to understand the context: A Tale in the Desert II was a non-combat game about building a perfect society in the face of social challenges constructed by the developers. There were challenges that required game-wide cooperation (building the Seven Great Works), while a mysterious stranger ("Gharib," played by me) did things to cause turmoil among players. Malaki was (as many players suspected) one of Gharib's agents, though the event was constructed to make this uncertain.

Players had a number of tools to deal with Malaki, including the lawmaking process and the power of the Demi-Pharaoh. Either of these could have banned Malaki from the game, but players were reluctant to do so because there was a chance that the rare goods he offered would somehow advance (shortcut) the technology tree. It was a genuine case of moral ambiguity. More details about the event itself are here:

    http://web.archive.org/web/20081203221126/http://wiki.atitd.net/tale2/TheTraderMalaki

Though neither formal tool was used, community leaders created enough social pressure on would-be defectors to run Malaki out of town, thereby "winning" the scenario.

ATITD explored all sorts of socially difficult puzzles, including the acquisition of power ("The Test of the Demi-Pharaoh,") online trust ("The Test of Marriage,") Monopolies ("The Test of the Funerary Temple"), the tragedy of the commons (mushroom ecology) and addiction (Speed of the Serpent.)

A Tale in the Desert, now in it's 6th telling, still runs, though most of my attention these days is on Dragon's Tale.

That is some special shit right there.

Teppy, I love to see someone dedicated to their game.  Clearly Dragons Tale is your love and I think that's fantastic.

keep weaving the web.  Your flock loves it.

854  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs shipping 300 units a day on: August 08, 2013, 05:02:18 PM
so like... you are allowed to blatantly trick facebook users with a wrong URL in your ad?

how is this up days later?

Sorry for being a n00b it seems like a really huge hole in FB ads...

with BFL being one of the filthiest companies around the ad really didn't shock me all that much.  In fact it seemed like a logical next marketing step as they circle the drain.
855  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs shipping 300 units a day on: August 08, 2013, 03:21:17 PM
1) I have to hand it Facebook, I have never used something so much that I hate with such a passion and cannot bring my stupid, weak human brain to delete the account as many times as I've hovered the link and read about account closure:

2) but of course BFL is far greater evil.  Yes, they have approved and paid for an ad citing 72 hour shipping.

I <3 you micon

I will take 1 micon "blade"

The BTCBlade needs his mining blades to start his journey!

This seems so fitting, thanks micon <3

Blade I just woke up to your msgs, you got it / send me addy as per instructions on the other channel.
857  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 6x In-Hand USB Block Erupters + 1x DLINK DUB-7 USB Hub [4.8 btc shipped] on: August 08, 2013, 02:39:06 PM

Edit: Sorry Micon but someone needs to show people when a product is highly overpriced.

it is no problem, I'm selling for someone that wants me to walk to the mail box and send them today what I have mining.

I completely understand / fully admit you can take a cheaper path and likely won't make a positive return on this setup.  It's simply something I have for sale for someone that wants to start mining and can't wait.

In addition, I am very trusted around here.  Customer knows they get devices 1 day later with tracking. Furthermore, haters are going to hate:

858  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 6x In-Hand USB Block Erupters + 1x DLINK DUB-7 USB Hub [4.8 btc shipped] on: August 08, 2013, 09:12:58 AM
where abouts are you shipping from? and do you ship to canada?

Las Vegas, NV and I'll ship to Canada for the included price.

IMO this is a rip-off.

I agree this setup likely won't make back the btc invested.  I bought my first erupters at 1 btc each.  I did so to have a cute little mining setup on my desk to show ppl the mining software and the pool setup.

I have the devices working an in-hand.  If someone wants them I'll send them for 4.8 btc.  No biggie if the market doesn't want them at this price, they will mine away.

but if someone wants these cool looking mini-miners, they are clearly for sale.
859  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 6x USB Block Erupters + DLINK DUB-7 USB Hub [IN-HAND, 3.5 btc shipped] on: August 08, 2013, 07:28:45 AM
I am currently hashing away at ~12 gh/s with 36 USB block erupters.

I have arranged them into "Micon Blades" with 6x erupters per DLINK DUB-7, and have 6 total "Micon Blades" running.  I'm using 3 fans and a poker trophy as a heat sink for cooling:

[pic of 42x running]

Part of my mining strategy is to sell off the blades over time, likely to casual miners or first-timers that just want to experiment or have a "live mining" setup in a lab.  These are in-hand, currently hashing, and I will mail them immediately upon payment.  I understand the ROI may not be there on these (or it may - you never know in this game)

At this time I'd like to sell 1 blade's worth, or 6x USB block erupters + the DLINK hub - everything you need to get started with a ~2 gh/s setup.

I am extremely trusted and work privately via PM or via micon at sealswithclubs dot eu

3.5 btc shipped to USA via priority mail.

I am only looking to sell 6x USB erupters at this time. tracking number sent immediately upon shipment. 2x successful sales so far.

** WARNING ** AT LEAST SKIM THIS BEFORE DOWNLOAD / FIRING:

- we have seen the disconnects.  I have experienced them personally:

I see the players complaining about this, and you guys are correct - it's too frequent - the team has re-focussed onto this issue.

understand we don't have the underlying issue fixed yet, but we have a "band-aid"

So this version, when disconnected briefly, will not kick you out and make you log in again.  Note that I want to be very clear and up front that we have NOT solved the underlying issue yet.  I know that is non-standard and most businesses would tell you "it's all good, we're playing great" but that seems dishonest to me, and with that disclaimer please take this "nodcdetect" version of the SwC PC client:

Please also report any issues you have with this version.  The boys are working on it:
