961  Economy / Gambling / Re: 280 BTC total bets between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: June 09, 2013, 04:12:58 AM
Micon: me too, I won our 200 BTC bet (150+ Mh/J), which was on the same terms as SgtSpike. For the exact terms, see links in post
 #1 of this thread.

I fully expect to pay the 150 bets in the next few days.  I'm sure you can see from my twitter I'm directly in the busy season.

I must do my own research before paying these, but I will do my best to get this done quickly.  When I win I like to be paid promptly, when I lose I like to pay quickly so the other side feels the same.    I am not stalling trying to pull a "luke Jr" crazy technicality or anything I simply must verify for myself before sending codes worth ~$45k

962  Economy / Gambling / Re: 280 BTC total bets between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: June 06, 2013, 10:26:39 AM

That is fine, but can I have a definite date at least?  Don't want this to drag on forever.

I will not make a winning bettor wait long for me to verify results.

I do however need to spend a few hours checking this before sending the code worth like $30k now.  Seems understandable.

I'm playing at noon, 1500 NL, I doubt it will take me through the weekend to check this.  Any help by users that I trust like dooglus and others would be much appreciated.  It is the busy season for poker players, but I understand the desire for a speedy reply here.

I expected to lose the 150's after the first few shipments, I believe the most likely result is no-BS me just shipping the code, but I will need to verify this for myself and it will take me hours to do so.

thanks for understanding.

Looks like we have a definite customer who has not been to BFL and received an actual unit they ordered AND verified the hashrate:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=89685.msg2266484#msg2266484

1 of 3 customers required to win the bet, then.

2/3 required to win the bet - another customer reporting 30w power draw @ 5.6GH/s:  http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1flgob/its_certainly_been_a_wild_ride_but_the_wait_was/cabwir2

3/3!

Micon, I believe this concludes our bet.  Please let me know if you disagree.

I will review everything soon.  It's WSOP time, may take me a few days.

Are you saying you won the 150 and the 350?  or just the 350?
Both of my bets (the 40 BTC and 200 BTC) were at 150MH/J, so I won it all (240 BTC total).

EDIT:
First bet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135914.msg1471640#msg1471640
Second bet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135914.msg1833042#msg1833042

thanks, will review soon, give me a few days as I'm leaving as we speak to play the $1500 PLH WSOP event starting in under 2 hours.

How about krill roll? Smiley

We'll make it up, details when everything is stable.

100% of the time when unexpected issues occur SealsWithClubs makes it right.

We have a ~2 year history of always making it right, and this giant thread is a pretty good record of that.
967  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: June 04, 2013, 04:43:51 PM
Fresh off the phone with Seal Team 6:

-- PC, Android, Flash clients working
-- My Account page down ATM, to return in <12 hours
-- Cashouts will return likely in <12 hrs
-- Used this time to launch our new site design we've had in the can for a minute

ST6 has worked through the night, again, and will be grinding until it's cashout-functional.

All the glory of SealsWithClubs rests on their backs, and I personally thank them for their intense work this time and all times in the past & future.

micon@sealswithclubs.eu for any issue.

I made it to tricky seal can I get a seal juggling 3 balls on my nose as avatar?

Speaking of games would it be possible to maybe add backgammon as a novelty ? Not sure even possible on mavens software but would be a nice attraction and change of pace.

We have discussed "other p2p luck-&-skill games" and we plan on building a really fun and complete game suite over time.  Being brutally honest, I would say backgammon is toward the back of the conceptual idea pack, which is behind all of the other poker games you can think of and some you can't.

I like backgammon, and I hope we have it in 2 years personally.  Also of note - backgammon is solved or almost solved - there are bots already, so it may be something we won't ever do - but IMO should be done for btc.
974  Economy / Gambling / Re: Buy Pieces of Bryan Micon @ WSOP 2013 on: May 29, 2013, 03:42:11 PM
Ty for the love Crosby.

While it's fun to argue about what % pro players have of themselves, one truthful example is right here:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArSX17d2S9wqdHNfcDgwOERpcHJId0JtWlFvc2c0U2c#gid=0

Lets say I make on average $100k/yr playing poker, and the WSOP has ~$60k worth of buyins.  It's going to be hard for me to save up enough to fire down $60k every summer.  It was mentioned you must be extremely wealthy to responsibly throw down $60k on high variance tournaments.  I fully admit that I am not rich enough to do so this year, and must be extra cautious because I now have a 5 month old daughter.

That being said, you can clearly see I'm a winning WSOP tournament player, and many people bought pieces of me at slight markup.  I am essentially sold out at this stage, save a few odd points on the SealsDeals.info which I'll leave for any SwC player to scoop if they want, no biggie to me if they don't, the big chunks have been sold.

You guys can see that I only have ~16% of myself for the 1st $1k event, but I don't mind taking 30-40% of myself in the $2500 10 game.

The WSOP starts today, GLGLGLGL to everyone with a piece or playing themselves.

PLEASE hit me up for SwC gear if you are at the Rio!  I'll be tweeting live updates of my stacks, and hit me there if you are trying to connect for a hat / patch.  I tweet my seat card before each event for accounting purposes and so SwC players can easily find me in the mess that is the Rio during WSOP

Something I'd like to see (other than 2-7 Triple Draw) is High Stakes Poker style cash tables, with an ante, no max buyin, and relatively high blinds for the average buyin.  This could be fun even at microstakes.  Also, alternate blind structures like 1/1 or 2/3 and an option to live straddle tend to generate a bit more action.

I can promise you that the team works tirelessly towards this goal.

New games and features are on the horizon.  It will be months and months, but active work is being done daily towards this end.

tytytyty for playing SwC - we are building it better in the background

Pretty much expected to win the 350's and lose the 150's

very curious... about a month ago I expected a flood of orders shipped / rec'd.  I expected 100's of units reported rec'd by now.

But, it's BFL, so as usual we shall wait a bit longer for the results.

I must say I loved your confrontation with the BFL guy, had me laughing for ages

"You giving out free quaters too??"

Good stuff haha, that guy was a complete d**k

scammers of that scale must be exposed IMO

cant seem to open any ring games, anyone else having the same issue?

I am able to open them, although some were reporting issues earlier.  Very likely a member of ST6 already fixed it.  Verify it's working or if you need a specific game opened now I'll certainly handle that in the meantime.

BIG BTC today @ 6pm Server time, and a new "Morning w/the Chairman" just posted on our FB page:
