1)  SwC actively busts collusion.  If you think you spot it happening, email support@sealswithclubs.eu.  We are ultra-responsive and have developed many tools to uncover and investigate collusion.

2)  MTT menu for today & tomorrow always gets me excited.  today in 10 minutes the 10 chip 500 GTD pops off, already 50 registered.  Tomorrow is even hotter, the 20 chip 1k GTD that always draws.  I'm considering raising that GTD next week.  The big boy today is the Saturday 4.2k GTD [95+5] that has overlay'd the last few weeks, IMO jump in that one and use the SealsDeals new #pool feature and bet more in a last-longer with currently me & 5betbluff [you could likely choose a better #pool spot but shit some of you just like the challenge Smiley ]  And of course tomorrow is the BIG BTC 20 bitcoin gtd and I think we've now run that one for enough time that every bitcoin poker player knows it's the top prize to be won each week.  See you guys there tomorrow as well.  What else is a poker playing space pilot to do while watching all this basketball?

3)  For those of you asking me to list my WSOP events so you can buy small pieces of my tournaments this summer for bitcoin, I have been trying to get ahold of Ender to see if he will make SealsDeals do what he did last year, but he has been unresponsive.  I will likely just throw up a spreadsheet and only sell in bigger chunks because of no automated system.  Also if anyone has a nice staking site or wants to write one for a 1% summer freeroll (I'll host it on bryanmicon.com or something) I'd love to be able to sell microshares to the guys on SwC that have been around for a few WSOPs and want 2014 action.

hey micon,

trying to figure out how to count how many hands seals have dealt. if you can help me i will add you to my list

http://www.CryptoBettingIndex.com

if you look at the top right of my site i added a link to seals for free(affiliate link would be nice...). i respect what you have done to keep poker alive in the US. im a poker player at heart

1)  Check the table-hand numbers, that's the closest metric I know of.  the early server resets likely reset the hand numbers, but I think we dealt ~20M hands or so

2) micon@sealswithclubs.eu for affiliate status / I'd be happy to grant you

you could register to the same tourney again from a different IP if you lose before the end of the late reg, I don't think it's that bad for other players though since you are paying twice + it means you lost in the first 15 or 30minutes...

1)  Scoundrels that decide to cheat with multiple IPs / multiple computers / same tournament can already do so without late registration.  We have a long history of catching & punishing cheaters, distributing their chips to players affected.

2) Late registration, when open for 5-15 minutes or so, will allow the "real" players that miss the start just barely (maybe because they are waiting for a deposit to confirm twice) will get in.  I think that far-trumps the risk of an eliminated player re-entering (Which is also up for discussion how good or bad that is for the rest of the field, as a player I'll always encourage a guy that busts in the first level to try again Smiley

I'm in favor of late reg. I think that limited 15min compromise would be great. There are countless times where I've been interested in jumping in an MTT to see that I've missed reg by 1-2mins.

you're my boy, CobaltBlue!

I agree we need ~1 level or so of late reg.

Remember, in a few hrs the

BIG BTC

pops off with

♣ ♣ ♣ Serious MTT Soon ♣ ♣ ♣
in ~1.3 hrs there will be the

♣ ♣ ♣ Friday 4.20k GTD ♣ ♣ ♣

this overlay'd like a boss last week.  Over a bitcoin!

While I would like to see my GTD's meet, the players would prolly take it either way - free coinage from SwC or a bigger prizepool.

190+10 is this one of our biggest buy-ins that we run each week.  Our best players show up for this one, as you can frequently bink off 1.5+ coins for 1st.  I want to get this one hot again, and if anyone has time, buy-in, or stack/structure feeback I'd like to hear it.  I'll be doing another round of MTT schedule changes soon, and I'm going to be messing with some structures, starting with our biggest and most serious MTTs like the Friday 4.2k GTD.

Micon how do respond to some of the rumors floating around that your site is rigged to produce dramatic play scenarios to increase rake potential?

I would say that is severely implausible for the following reasons:
1)  rigging the site in any way seems -EV long term.
2) "dramatic play scenarios" do not make poker more fun or produce more rake - in fact when you bust a player they no longer play - so if we were purely greedy, had 1000x Zuckerberg+ coders on meth ready to fire, and believed no one would ever notice, I supposed we'd deal everyone non-dramatic play scenarios as to keep everyone playing.  Of course this would be much harder to program / keep running / keep it consta-rigging than simply making a proper poker site.
3) I think it's clear to most that the way a site gets more rakes is to get more players.  That's always been my goal - to popularize the site and help make it super-fun to play.

Lol nope was just asking a question, i personally love how seals is, because im used to it.

There is a major logical fallacy in most users claiming highly complex rigging scenarios:  On one hand, they may say "that's the style of play I employ on this site, because, you know, it's rigged and shit, that type of stuff hits here" I have heard this paraphrased time and time again, when referring to live or online cardrooms, dealers, decks, shuffle-machines, you name it, I've heard a guy blame it for a losing hand of poker.

There is only 1 way to prove rigging:  science.   Every player can collect their own personal hole card data, flop data, and after 100k+ hands or so you can really see how close your distribution is to average.  You can see how many standard deviations off they are.   Hint:  A handful of independent entities have already done this.

Outside of science terms, it's tough to argue "it's rigged for X's pleasure" debates.  We simply deal a fair game IMO.

Here's an odd one, and I'll admit I'm not quite sure if Nitrogen can even help this.  The only time I've seen something like this I needed Dooglus to help me Smiley

small withdraw from Nitrogen recently:

http://blockchain.info/tx/a3468ec9dc7b364b9e2c85ec2e232be225ef24615c0bc1f0dacc9a783cc829b2

this was on the way into a blockchain wallet I think.. but not sure.  It was right when blockchain was up and down late yesterday.

says for a few hours it's very high priority, will confirm soon.

I suspect something I don't understand about the inputs were messed up somewhere in there.  I wonder if this falls off or gets confirmed.

tyvm for anyone's thoughts on it.  I post stuff like this because I think at this stage all corner-case bitcoin transactions are super-interesting to me.
488  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: March 19, 2014, 06:18:59 AM

Late entry for rebuys is a no brainer.  That will work.  For what that's worth.

Without blocking IPs and disallowing tor (not even possible?) I don't see a solution for regular tourneys.  In that case if you want late entry you just have to deal with the reality it's a rebuy for shadow accounts.

1)  bust-out IP block is a easy way to cut down.  Many players use VPN though.

2)  I would imagine a savvy degenerate (that busts in the first 1 or 2 levels) may find their way back in.  This may be something we must accept (from a player perspective I think its a great thing if a guy that just fired off the stack in level 1 re-enters) if we want to provide the utility to players that just missed the starting time and want action.  I think that utility far outweighs the unfairness of someone possibly re-entering.
489  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: March 19, 2014, 04:32:11 AM
Just deposited .4999 into my account and was only credit 49 coins. not the biggest deal but id prefer if my account had a bitcoin balance aswell so i could keep my .0009

you do keep that .0009, and the next time you deposit add an extra .0001 and that .0009 will become 1 chip.
490  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: March 19, 2014, 04:26:24 AM
late reg will just make tourneys re-entries for the multi accounters

so this is a legitimate concern.

As a frequent MTT player, I'd like to see the biggest prizepools possible.

As a site pro, I don't want to see anyone just miss the start of the BIG BTC.

I think the sweetspot for late reg is ~5-15 minutes.  I want to catch the guy that just missed it, but I don't want the guy that just busted re-registering.  Very few players will bust in the first 15 minutes, and those that do should be easy to catch a re-entry under a little-used account.

Certainly things to think about, but IMO late registration will be +EV for the players, as it encourages action.
491  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: March 18, 2014, 09:53:36 PM

Hmm but you still snagged my tip from the chat and fixed it right Micon? I only posted it in chat because i knew u and doctorhuh were on.

So pretty much what your saying is since i didn't email it to you, but still relayed my message in an obviously valid way, that i don't deserve any sort of thank you for it or anything?

Makes sense....

That is a logical fallacy known as a "strawman" where you rephrase what I just said in a much weaker form, easily attacking it.

1)  I am not privy to the exact issue, only your communication method (lobby chat)

2)  because the issue you brought does seem to be helpful, you have my sincere thanks.

3)  I will also snap off an FFF later and drop you a free code if you'd like.

thanks again.

For those that remember I complained about not being able to log back into the account after the DDOS attack. I hassled Micon, Freemoney and posted on the forum.

The seals support team got in touch recently, apologized for the delay and were very courteous. The issue has now been resolved and all is good.

I spent close to five hours here posting about the complaint. Mainly due to the posting limitation (360). I was tempted to donate and become a full member.

I'm glad they resolved the issue for you.

Coding a superior poker site. (Not 100$ shit software anyone can purchase)

Been a loyal seal for a while until yesterday, if your not going to even thank me for the bug i didn't exploit and brought to your attention.

Lets face it, you have shitty management, shitty servers, and shitty software.

Time for change, give me a month and i guarantee i can do a way classier custom job then anyone you have on your staff is capable of providing.

Hi GambitBTC.  I find it's best to be calm in situations like this.  If any loyal SwC player finds something they feel is a security concern, we ask they please bring it directly to us, via support@sealswithclubs.eu email.    Posting something publicly in lobby chat is not very responsible disclosure IMO.

It is important to note that while SwC had humble beginnings, the software that now runs the site has been improved dramatically and will continue to be improved over time.  Players can expect new features like late registration in just a few months.  I wish all other legitimate bitcoin gambling sites well, it is a brand new space and I think both experimentation & competition are good things.  They make everyone play their best IMO.
493  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - 100 NEW GAMES! bitcoin sportsbook and live dealer casino on: March 18, 2014, 08:22:03 PM
Has anyone had any luck with recent deposits, my one (deposited yesterday) has still yet to show up in my account?

1)  I have had nothing but love for Cloudbet except this recent withdraw issue

2)  I feel at this stage it would be proper for Cloudbet to say something like "We use Blockchain.info and they are down that is why deposit-withdraw issues are happening" if that is the case, as their outages on transactions appear to coincide w/blockchain.info's outage (lots of ppl depending on blockchain, which is because they are a great service, but that seems dangerous) and they said this yesterday:

Hi folks,

We're having some issues with third party payment infrastructure that is causing delays with deposits and withdrawals. We'll be all back to normal very shortly.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience!

Cheers,
Cloudbet

I think "3rd party" being blockchain.info would make me personally feel a bit more secure.  My personal cashout is relatively small, but I love this site for the multiple-live action bitcoin pit games, I have been showing them off to my friends when they come over.  The entire Cloudbet system is really cool and I've been having a lot of fun firing Curling bets & NCAA.  Hope you guys develop your own internal on-the-chain hot-cold wallet system for this, I always think that's best to be in maximum control of the coins.  Even so I'll continue playing when the transactions are restored, clearly have smart gambling lovers on the other end of this project!  #MadLove

I made a small withdraw earlier today, and it still says processing.  It's usually instant with you guys, which I love.

Take a break and come back.  My short day at Seals.  Ooooh I got QQ....crash...............Ooooooh I got AA crasshhhhhhhh

How's the new client coming?

1) with android / mac / pc / flash I have had pretty good connectivity recently.  I test them all out regularly.

2) .219 clients on the way in <3 months most likely.  It's a bad idea to ever give hard dates, but that is my best guess after recently speaking with ST6.  Do not take that as anything but a guess.
499  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: March 16, 2014, 05:56:35 PM
1)  Lobby chat is uncensored.  When you have anon bitcoin poker and uncensored chat, you will have beggars.

2)  IMO an often too-little used fix is to block newbie chat.

This.  My chat on Seals is 10x better after enabling this.  Also, block observer chat if you get bored of crybaby bitches you just knocked out of a tournament.

ST6 has thought deeply about chat.  It is a big reason why there is such a tight sense of community on SwC.  But, as we have grown, there has been more and more scamming and otherwise idiocy that much of the community doesn't want to see.

I am afraid to block the blues, because I want to answer any legitimate newbie question, but for the vast majority of you, this is needed at this point.  If things go as I want them to, it's only going to get more crowded there anyway.  IMO >50k krill filters (if we build them in the future) may be exactly what many of us want.

long time Marketplace/Gambling users that have watched the legitimate bitcoin gambling community grow from nothing over the past few years are not going to stand by and get bullied by a bunch of Ponzi scam operators.

Also with RiverBoatBTC getting these scams shut down at the host level, anyone thinking about depositing and perpetuating this bullshit is risking more than ever now.  These operators realize the game is just about over in this corner of the internet.
