geographically we are in Europe.  We are just not dictated to from the European Community
It amuses me how dumb people are

Well done Italy you deserved to win  Smiley

The community that wasn't one, and probably never will be.
You can't build a culture with economic rules and agreements alone...

Well at the end, Italy deserved it. Congrats! Even though they make it into the finals like little crybabies falling down on every touch. But Brazil - Argentina was no better. Football has become unwatchable for me. They spent more time on the ground than standing. It must definitely be the declining Testosterone and rising Estrogen in men.

Seconded.
Italy sporting three Euro games with extension time, losing a key player on the way and having Chiesa giving up as well, who was a candidate for scoring 2:1 in the final, really good. Donnarumma: Nothing to add here. Clearly deserved "man of the match".

Grassdiving, as it seems to me, became fashionable with Neymar Jr. but especially Sterling was disappointing for diving a couple of times too often. That penalty decision in the semifinal was too hard, when you could literally watch him aiming for the dive in the slow motion replay. He's not quite worthy for that kind of play as the brilliant speedy dribbling artist he is. Very similar to the brasilian national diva, imho.
On the other hand, almost every yellow card caused by italy today was really unneccessary. They've shown better qualities in this tournament, they might have been just too frustrated, these fouls weren't in their favour, anyway. The thing with (was it Grealish?) the strike to the left knee was just gross.

Anyway, #hodlsleep now.
It's nice that my prediction/feeling about the breakout was right, i'm curious where the price will stand tomorrow at breakfast...

Virgin female cannabis = sinsemilla. Later to be used with Pink Floyd albums and Doritos.

wow does that bring back memories. Animals (the pink floyd album) and sinse.. wadda combo for a weed noober like me back then. i still get head rushes on that.

Yup, I remember that shit back in the day. thought it was a different strain like tie weed.

Heh, me too, though i'm a bit younger than you. I was an early starter, despite my upper middle class parental background.
Mum'n Dad always told me to stay away from "the bums", but they were a dozen times more straightforward than what i knew from my family with the inbred stick-up-the-butt "syndrome"  Roll Eyes

EDIT: So if my children are buttstickers as welll when they will be grown-ups, i probably deserve it this way. But i already have an exit plan for living at the outer border of society when it's due.

Living on society's border is a young mans game, when you get old you need easy access to health care and food and such, but living on the border, maybe somewhere the boonies, when you are young is boring, unless you are the unabomber.

First:
I mean near the outer border, not outside the border Cheesy Thus you are right, imo. It's a place 10 mins away (per car) from the next neighbor, 15 mins to the next village and 1 hour away from the next city. I could live with that. My great grandparents lived their whole lifes like that, except without access to cars and in one case without electricity. I will go a step further and have a solar powered house with a well and a sump. Cattle (milk), chicken (eggs), vegetable garden. Lots of grassland, part of a forest and no signs of humanity in plain sight. Maybe i'll see some distant hikers on mountain ridges, with the help of binoculars. Cricket concert all summer long, with a constant uphill breeze. I used to spend weeks and months in these kind of places, from childhood to young adolescence, with shorter visits as an adult.
It's a place where natural drinking water will likely run out last on earth. Probably i'll need a license and some exclusive firearms for hunting. I also like to have dogs again when the kids will be living on their own. Until then i'll stay near the urban areas.

Second:
"marinesoldat" is correct, although google suggested "marine soldat", which are two distinct terms, like spelling "roof top" instead of "rooftop".

EDIT: Observing resistance weakening a bit, so breakout may be due soon, but when drawing lines, i'd second that early august pump opinions.
As most of you might know, i'm drawing lines for fun, taking them not too serious, because king daddy taught me not to do so  Grin
EDIT2: This lesson took a while, though   Cheesy

... nothing surprises me about the characters that show up in bitcoin, perform bizzare antics (and some leave spectacularly too), it's an endless stream of ass-clownery you wouldn't get if you paid for it at the circus

.. Like CSW and Musk joining forces to produce the One-True coin wouldn't surprise me at this stage, it would totally fit the bitcoin history of crazies, interlopers that the 2 biggest charlatans got together, ass-hat and ass-clown double act

I don't know what you guys are talking about.
Memory failing? COVID-19 vax side-effect?

I'm watching the movie again tonight.

There's the thing with the evil again. At least not as evil as that i would post the scene screenshot here  Grin

The scene at 01:09:52 (Spoiler Alert!)

EDIT: I now see it's a slightly different model from the US equivalent Arrie originally posted. It was mainly the writing and shape that triggered the memories.

Breaker, breaker
Since bitcoin leaves me hanging with interesting chart action lately and i'm still a little sick, bound to bed for half of the day, i was browsing the movies....

Discovered this lovely, slowish, pretty detailed and graphic action movie starring Bob Odenkirk:

Nobody (2021)

I can't remember (seriously) when i was laughing so hard to such a violent movie.
Strongly recommend it to all those who can spare a medial one-and-half-an-hour because of boreout.

Spoiler: Couldn't resist thinking about Arriemoller at 01:09:52  Grin so i paused the show at this plot twist and posted my recommendation to you, guys  Kiss #honomo

+1. A great watch. Recommended.

Edit: I can't remember the part at 01:09:52 and how it relates to Arriemoller. See what you made me do? I've got to watch it again now.

I'm a nice person. Well, mostly. This lil thing was part of the evil in me  Tongue
If you watch a different cut: It's the moment right after Bob (Hutch) lifts the napkin off of his surprise dinner.

EDIT: Now i managed to connect the pieces: Arrie was looking for a replica of this thing until finally someone custom 3d-printed one for him.
AFAIR, as a decoration for his car's front bumper?

@Arrie: did you finish it? Please post a pic. I might have missed it, though, in a TLDR accident...

Yes, watch it. Together with your kids, especially boys will love it. Some scenes are scary, not sure of the rating.

My oldest one should be good with that.
EDIT: It's even on bezos' prime video currently, so i don't have to pirate it. Need to kill some time until the EURO final  Grin

Quote
Never heard of Ex Drummer, IMDb shows a 7/10 rating, which is very high, should be good, will check out your suggestion, thanks.

I started watching it because of the rating.
Discovered it by surprise, it's like a dutch version of "trainspotting", just without the strong focus on the drug addictions.
I like it when movies are leaving me impressed (in any possible way), this one did well, too.
1810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2021, 08:22:21 AM
People are driving crazily these days.
Not sure if this is caused by PTSD-lite or less concern for their own life or the life of others, but something is happening.
Maybe we got some kind of 'mind' virus? I don't mean it literally, of course.

Indeed. It's called "the ego".
Task: Control it, before it's controlling you.

ElonCoin? WTF?

Logging off to watch The Tomorrow War -- thanks for the suggestion WOers. I hope it's good.

Take care all!

Enjoy; was a decent flick!

Thanks.

I enjoyed it. Nowhere near the complexity and depth of Tenet, but still solid entertainment.

I have this one on my to-watch-list as well.
Yesterday i saw an unexpectedly good, emotionally quite deep art/trash movie: Ex Drummer.
Think it's of dutch or belgian origin.

EDIT: Not for the faint hearted, though.

Okay, just a speculation in a speculation topic.

Michael Saylor is the one who is causing all the bitcoin manipulation's like Wyckoff exeuction.

Do you agree?

It's clearly Evil Elon, while Saylor is his submissive toy puppet.
Change my mind.

Evolution can't go wrong.

But, evolution has a goal: survival of the fittest.

We think we can influence evolution. Condoms, contraceptives and vaccines are some of our supposed influences. But, they are not really influences, because this is all part of evolution. We are all in the same system. Being smart and capable enough to invent the condom and develop contraceptives and vaccines is part of our own evolution. Evolution has brought us this far, and has favored these choices.

The fittest shall survive, while the weakest shall perish. Deal with it.

human evolution has brought us to the point where we change the environment to suite us rather than us having to adapt and evolve to the environment. and we are currently the apex predator. so human evolution has more or less ceased as we know it as there is no real need right now.

well at least until we all evolve gills for breathing when the planets under water or whatever the latest doomsday climate thing is.

Exactly. The beauty of it is that what you're describing has happened as a result of evolution. We think we can affect evolution, but it's evolution that has brought us here, and will take us further. "Survival of the fittest" is essentially "survival of the capable, the smart, and those who can get it". Those who choose to wear tin-foil hats will be pushed aside and die off.

One concern, though: Survival of the dumbest as an overwhelming majority (Idiocracy).

EDIT: We might as well live in a "bubble of the smart" because we socialize with smart prople, mainly. The global masses are easily controlled by FUD and also hate. They would be immune to this common form of manipulation if we, as society would have evolved in favour of smartness. Also, look at religions. Not a sign of smartness that over 90% of the population believes in the big space worm or whatever magical creator/controller being  Cheesy

I disagree here.
Did you take murphy's law and black swan events into account?  Wink
"Survival of the fittest" is not a goal, it's a paradigm. Survival is a goal, fitness is a key factor (and strongly relative).
1814  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2021, 06:36:47 AM
If 'they' are setting up ~32K to be like 6.5K in 2018, then my calculations and approximations (from proportionally reduced plunges) give a bottom at 20-21K (the exact number is about 20.5K, but the whole thing is a projection and unlikely to exactly "fit").
It could be just a wick. I can handle this price without being upset.

I'd agree at the end of a bear market, but we're in the middle of a "year of the bull" already, so i would be surprised by a bottom as low as $20k-$21k.

Quote
Of course, if we go there, it means that we were in the bear market and then we would start recovering, hopefully.
It would also mean that the whole cycle was front run on the bull side.
Next cycle might not even be a real cycle since the impact of halving would be smaller and other factors (adoption) could become more important.

Sounds good enough for me, i always had the feeling of a front run, especially when i was zooming out.

@JJG:
Amongst the more naturally baked minds it is considered an absolute truth that reality is an "agreement".
You see, something went wrong in evolution, maybe it's temporary (i hope so), but humans generally got way more brainpower than most of them can manage, so it kinda bleeds into other activity apart of sane conclusions based on repeated observations.
Maybe (most) drugs are just a good way to tame that overshooting brain-capacity.
I wish we could power miners with that excess energy. Some day, perhaps?  Huh Wink

I am not even sure if we might NOT be communicating ourselves very clearly, because I am not really making any kind of claim to knowing transcendental truth/reality or even if such a thing matters very much.

No worries, looks you're healthy in regards of grasping reality. The above writing wasn't precisely about you, anyway.
I tried to elaborate more, but after three deleted drafts i gave up on it. My mind is still foggy from being sick, in addition to the usual memory limitations.

I was suggesting that some people seem to be way the hell more detached from reality than others, and when some of those kinds of people are suggesting that all truth is relative, then such claims dilute the fact that there are more plausible claims upon closer approximations of reality - without even getting to any kind of need for consensus or agreement, even though I am not going to argue that there are not a whole fucking lot of agreements in existence that started way before any of us were born, and at the same time the various agreements are a evolving phenomenon with bitcoin being a pretty big and new consensus stimulating element that did not exist prior to 2009 - at least in any kind of meaningful and widespread practicing form.

I agree.
It's a narrow path between reality and belief(s).

Evolution can't go wrong, because evolution has no goal.
But I get what you are trying to say, although I disagree strongly.

To each his own opinion, Arrie. If i want others to take my opinions serious, i have to take theirs serious too.

Imo, evolution is an ever ongoing series of results. So i can easily agree with you that there is no goal.
But we can influence evolution with brainpower and education.
The evolution of our education, however, is not quite turning out in our favor, brainpower might follow after some delay.

Why is there a TP buying craze again? What happened this time? End of the world? UFOs & shit? COVID-19-related?

Or is it just investors buying the dip?

Ad hominem?
You see, the success rate of vaccinating the flu is around 40% - 50%, while threating it medically is 70-90%.
Tell me which is the better way to go, long term. I see a point in vaccinating the elderly and sick, but c'mon... mass-vaccination because of FUD and lies?

Like I said, you do you. I can still call you a dick if I think you are acting like one, doesn't mean I'm forcing you to change your life Smiley
