$80.00 Cost
less
$7.50 for the ASIC
less
$1.80 for BKK

Michael Douglas would be proud!

You are forgetting to include

Parts
PCB manufacture
PCB Layout assembly
Production Labor
Transportation costs for above.
Labor for organizers
Advertising costs ( website )
Customer support , Etc...

Gas for the transportation
Food for the labor
Help Desk system to handle calls

Yeah I get it, I understated it and you guys massively overstated it.

The K1 will be as compact clean as any BE.

As for the other commentary.

If want better prices than a BE then get into group buys. BKKCoins can't sell enough to make back his effort that is why others will take up the slack.

I was not aware that BKK was getting a percentage of every sale.

Probably something real generous like 5-10%?!?

he deserves it!!

The agreed upon royalty was approximately 0.02 BTC per each...

So folks who ordered chips on April 15 got them today:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=258231.0

So if Terrahash ordered theirs on May 10, does it not stand to reason they will be delivered around August 13?

Thoughts?

Based on all those pictures that have been posted of tons of Avalon chips at the warehouse, I would think (hope?) that they are going to be filling a lot of backorders in very short order.  I don't think it would necessarily follow that orders place 1 month apart would be filled 1 month apart.

Hope you are right!!!

1826  Bitcoin / Hardware / Network Protection statement from KNCMiner on: July 18, 2013, 12:36:47 PM
Received 8:30AM EDT on 7/18

KnCMiner Network Protection Statement

At KnCMiner we are aware of the service we are providing to our customers. We are also aware that we need our customers to have a return on their devices in order to purchase form us again. With the scale of the supply chains, agreements and factories we have access to, we need to be cautious we don’t ship too many devices and therefore reduce the return to our customers.  So with that in mind our plan is to do as follows:

We will ship no devices in December 2013, January 2014 or  February 2014. Meaning that once we have taken the difficulty up at the end of November we will not release any more hashing power for 3 months. We will then release our new generation of devices, which will begin shipping in March 2014. These devices will also have a much higher GH/$ rating than any of our current offerings.

We would like to state that If any of our competitors continues to add large amounts of hashing power to the network during December, January or February. We will continue to release our devices as competitively priced as we can to protect our customers share of the network.

Thanks
KnCMiner Team

Price is 19.50 USD per piece. Shipping cost and taxes are not included. So, I think the price will be around 20 EUR/piece (or about 25 USD/piece).

Let me guess you found them on Alibaba.com??

They cannot deliver.

1828  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Another Chinese Avalon Site. Looks like Chips are in too! on: July 18, 2013, 01:09:39 AM

$81 a GH, who the Fluck cares.
1829  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official TerraHash refund request thread on: July 18, 2013, 01:03:35 AM

There must be a very good reason why all of a sudden they decided to give people refunds.

Don't ya wish you knew?

Yes 300 units a day indeed.

Here is today's shipping update, copied from BFL at 7pm on 8/17

Most Jalapenos through Oct. 27 have been shipped.

No Little Singles

No Singles

No MiniRigs

I thought that Open source was going to save us a bunch of money vs the Erupters.

I guess...........

1834  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Orders per date - BFL workload diagram - How many units until mine? on: July 17, 2013, 03:23:36 PM
Your very clear conclusion is just a speculation.

Here is the update for the last 5 days from BFL Employee Jody on what has shipped since Friday 7/12

Jalapenos through Oct 17

Little Singles: none

Singles: June 23. NO PSU's

MiniRigs: June 23

I have bolded and underlined some words for you.

Referring to Little Singles they have not shipped a single unit since 7/12 - That would indicate they have none to ship, that may, as you say be speculation.

Referring to Singles - NO PSU's (and other posts by Jody) says that they are only shipping Singles to customers that they have contacted (one at a time) to tell them that they have no PSUs in stock and is it ok to ship them without PSU's (there are Jody posts to validate this also)

Your turn.
1835  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Jalapeno Orders - BFL workload per date diagram (as per July 17, 2013) on: July 17, 2013, 03:03:46 PM
... or u could simply check Jody blog's post ... "Jalapenos through Oct 17"

Yes, but you don't know of Jody's posts how many orders there are in between the ones they are processing now and your order... If there are many, you will wait longer if there are only a few... true?

The graphs do look nice.  As you mentioned, you still won't know how many are in between the currently processed orders and yours by using bfl.ptz.ro.  It is all anecdotal evidence there and apparently not currently updated (Blog lists Jalapenos through 10/17/2012 - last "Delived" order on bfl.ptz.ro is 9/18/2012)

The site is a nice idea, but given that anybody can enter any data they want, it's not really great for definite metrics.

Right! And lets assume that the data in these charts are off by 300% (meaning that there are 3 times more orders a day than have been self reported) That basically means that BFL is still stuck on June 23rd orders which may be 300 units (singles)

All this data points to one very clear conclusion. They are having MASSIVE supply chain issues and they have basically stopped shipping everything but their 5GH units.

Even doubled the price on the grossly overpriced case?!?!

Classy!!!

1839  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Multiple TerraHash (Avalon ASIC) Miner Pre-Orders for Sale - Starting at $1,900 on: July 16, 2013, 10:04:33 PM
You might want to consider escrow via John K or other senior board members.

Shouldn't you be telling everyone that Terrahash is a scam and these boards will never be delivered??

Hmmmmmmmmm?
1840  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: July 16, 2013, 07:30:04 PM
Dumb question, but if terrahash is providing the chips on our order we wouldnt need to reserve a spot for assembly right?

The service they are referring to is if YOU have your own chips.

If you bought a finished miner from their website this does not apply to you
