1861  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: your opinion about the current fees on: July 14, 2023, 11:44:38 PM
The fees differ on what has been set by the exchange. Always look for the makers and takers fee so that you can see on how much you've been charged for the trades that you do.

But does this still matter when you trade? Because usually the fees aren't that much and you only have to be worried of it if it's slashing a huge chunk to the entire amount that you've made.
1862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 14, 2023, 07:09:26 PM
  • Lack of Loss Chasing
When you lose, you do not attempt to bet more and more, with the mindset of winning back what you’ve lost. Rather you "leave" to bet another day.
This is the reason why many gamblers have that greedy essence on their own perspectives. When we're losing, we tend to gamble more and chase more our losses.

But then those that have been problematic about it and experienced that there should be a control when this comes to them. One of it fits what OP said about not chasing anymore with those losses.

You can lose for this day but don't rush to recover them as soon as possible. Maybe by tomorrow or some other day, that's when you're going to go chase that losses until you break even or recover at least a few percentage from those losses.
1863  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GG.BET scam on: July 14, 2023, 05:05:43 PM
This is a known sponsor for most Dota 2 events that I've seen in the past. I am not sure if they've got a thread here but they're not active in the forum.

And with all of those ratings and reviews, it's best to avoid them and don't entrust them with any amount. Because unlike the other casinos that are very active in the forum, when there are issues like this addressed by one of their customers.

They're quick to clean their names and solves the problem. This is at least for most reputable casinos and there are the others that have no plans of resolving their issues.
1864  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of a Bitcoin could cost millions of dollars: Standard Chartered on: July 14, 2023, 02:16:36 PM
The price of digital currency Bitcoin has started to rise again. In this reality, multinational bank Standard Chartered thinks that the price of Bitcoin may rise to 50 thousand dollars this year. Even in the latter half of 2024, the price of this currency can reach 1 lakh 20 dollars. According to the news agency Reuters, investors may be more attracted to it as the price of Bitcoin is increasing recently. Earlier in April, Standard Chartered said, at the end of 2024, the price of Bitcoin, a virtual currency, could rise to 100,000 dollars. Then they said that the 'winter' of cryptocurrency is about to end. But now the bank's foreign exchange analyst Jeff Kendrick said that the price of Bitcoin may increase by 20 percent to 120,000 dollars.
It's not something new whenever the price of Bitcoin is going up, the crowd goes back on it and deals with the craze that they've been with before.

And it's not surprising as well that these institutions are giving high numbers although it's truly possible but, they're all telling it with a good timing.

It's like that we're about to see the bull run, and they know that people are all ears again to Bitcoin. Thus, they're giving good predictions and numbers but whenever we enter the bearish time, you'll not hear anything from them.
1865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 13, 2023, 11:55:12 PM
BetBoom is now secured with US visa so that means they're going to the The International. The issue of Pure in Bali, Indonesia, stays in Indonesia.

It’s dumb for them to secure Visa if they still don’t have secure spot on the TI.

You can read full details here: https://afkgaming.com/dota2/news/betboom-full-team-visa-secured-for-the-international-12-in-seattle
I think they're all clean and good now and that's why they've secured a VISA for the TI. Valve likely have decided that there's no deduction in points and they've been punished already in the Bali major.

That's at least what I know but haven't found an article that explains that there's no longer a punishment. And I am expecting even after the Riyadh Masters, there will be no more statement needed from Valve.
1866  Economy / Economics / Re: New currency from BRICS countries on: July 13, 2023, 06:05:23 PM
BRICS isn't made to be against Bitcoin but they're focusing on the de-dollarization and only one opponent which is the US and its US dollars. There is no manipulation for Bitcoin just because of this allegiance.

Maybe the thought that's being built is because Bitcoin's price is being tallied with the USD. Thus, the price of Bitcoin can be manipulated because of the BRICS.

But wherever I look at the point, there's no essence for them to manipulate Bitcoin. This is like an alliance that has been there planned for a long time and it's just been made into reality this year.
1867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin on: July 13, 2023, 04:17:38 PM
We're all feeling the same and grateful that we've known about Bitcoin. Likewise, I am not good in finance and economics but then having Bitcoin and being introduced on it gave me a glance and reason to learn the basics of it.

I don't know all of it as well but the best thing here is that we continue to learn day by day.

Mostly, everyone is thankful because of how Bitcoin has helped us financially and we don't have to hide that reason when before no one touches it and think that it's just for the crooks and illegal transactions.

Now, the world has embraced and keeps on embracing it.

1870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 11, 2023, 05:37:21 PM
I think there is huge difference between a gambling addict and gambling professional. Gambling addict is a tag used for people who can't stop gamble and mainly lose money.
Gambling professionals are doing it as a profession, as a real day job and they know their limitations. While the gambling addicts, they don't know their limitations.

Successful gamblers can also be addicts if they experience mental issues.
I agree that successful gamblers can also be addicted gamblers. And I don't think there's an issue if someone is being addressed as an addicted gambler despite being a successful one.

Because they may be good today but you'll never know how their approach changes by tomorrow.

But in my opinion people tend to see successful gamblers as ones with skill and high intelligence. It s funny how society cares so much about how much money you generate through different things.
When you're successful and have got the money, the treatment to you changes as well. That's why if people sees successful gamblers as not addicts, that's also fine and vice versa.
1871  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best crypto savings on: July 10, 2023, 11:18:52 PM
CONCLUSION
A good practice I will recommend for all expecially beginners is that they should invest mostly in Bitcoin as this is highly save for the future.
Even if we keep on reminding them that it's the best way to save and invest money on this market, there will still a point of their lives that they don't think it's worth it.

And that is because they're mainly looking at the gains in the short time which can be looked on the gains with altcoins. That's why you see various of newbies complaining about their money being wasted into losses because they thought that it's the best idea that they've got.

But then, experience wise, that's how they're going to be taught if they don't listen to advises that's given to them that it's best for the newbies to start their crypto investments through Bitcoin.

1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost bitcoins on: July 09, 2023, 09:01:54 PM
I read some old threads about lost Bitcoins ND this question has been on my mind ever since
If the lost Bitcoins were for instance recovered will the price of Bitcoin drop  because in theory it would affect the amount of Bitcoin in circulation which will lower it's price . I saw in those threads that lost Bitcoins are considered a donation to the Bitcoin network. so if my theory is correct then we should be happy those Bitcoins were lost.
It goes like this.

Whether there will be lost bitcoins or not that will be up for sale and it's a huge volume. There will be for sure an effect to the price of Bitcoin. Not just that, there will be more force if the media is going to publish these sell offs as it's gonna put pressure to many retail holders.

And from there, the news that's disseminated will impact to everyone that's also gonna feel bad about it.

But let's take the reality of these lost bitcoins, they won't be called lost if they're not lost entirely. It's good that there's this take that these lost bitcoins are lost forever and instead of a drop that it will contribute, the value from each of those will be retained.

1875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 08, 2023, 07:15:36 AM
This thread should be on the Gambling discussion. --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=228.0

First of all, I think if someone's goal is to build wealth. Then, it shouldn't be pursued with gambling. I know that there are rare and lucky people that have made their wealth through gambling but, this isn't the case at most times.

But I do agree that if someone who has a rich and positive mindset and will pair it with hard work and then will upgrade to working smartly, we will see the results positively and even better if it's not with gambling.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 06, 2023, 10:20:48 PM
FY Tosses is on point and the real game changer because that’s the only reason they can isolate enemy cores without any help from support.
That game is lit!

The connection of somnus' puck and Fy's tiny is really great. And that's the reason why they've won that match, the combo of these two brought the team into victory.

There’s still a wildcard and I’m sure they have a high chance on getting a spot since they are very strong without top teams that already secured TI spot.
Is there? Maybe you're talking about the regional qualifiers.

Only two regions will be able to take two slots and those are the South America and Western Europe region. The rest regions only has one slot to make.
1877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Procrastination, Buy Bitcoin And Prepare For The Next Halving. on: July 05, 2023, 08:23:27 PM
You'll never know what these people are up to and what they're currently facing with their finances. As much as it's easier to say that they should buy, invest and hold bitcoin because halving is near.

Even if they want to, they just can't and for that, it has to be some reasons why they can't do that. If you're able and financially prepared for it and keeping up stacks of sats then that's good for you.

But whether you label them procrastinators or not or anything that's been delaying their desire to buy. If there's no problem and they're not hesitating, they should have bought long time ago already.
1878  Economy / Economics / Re: I cannot go home if I don't make a lot of money now!! on: July 04, 2023, 10:54:46 AM
That's why there is a pressure if you're the breadwinner of the family and that's why you need to work hard as much as you can. Talk to your wife and arrange things because she's the first one that should know what you're feeling and not other people.

Everyone seems to be tough but we understand that there's weakness everywhere. It's about teamwork when you're in a family that you've built and your wife should also help you out if she can be.

We do want to earn a lot of money because that seems to solve everything but maybe on this case, all you need is to take a rest, take a vacation, a vacation that doesn't have to be expensive but just a way to breathe some fresh air.

1879  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Belarus wants to ban bitcoin P2P transactions on: July 03, 2023, 11:17:00 AM
I guess they have the idea on how these P2P transaction works and with the heavy sanction that's been placed on Russia with what they've done, most electronic cash transfers have been disabled and they're resorting out to this type of transfers with Bitcoin.

Just like our friends here said that they can't do anything with it. But, the only thing they can do is to track those platforms for which they've got the record of the users and the transactions being done there.

If the actuality of person to person transaction is being done without any intervention of a platform or any third party, I doubt it that they'll be able to intervene and track any of those.
1880  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] SCAM BITTREX Exchange Website [Don't Connect Wallet] on: July 01, 2023, 11:12:18 PM
If ain't mistaken, this exchange has already shut down its US platform, right?
Yes, they've closed their US operations already and that's why some scammers are taking advantage of that.

Nice find, OP!

And this is the reason why first of all when someone sees an .xyz domain, you shouldn't be surprised if it's used for scamming people and copying legitimate businesses. Whether it's an exchange, a crypto casino or any other genuine business, you don't trust them.

While these scammers have it all prepared and includes an app, I think this isn't the first time I've seen it but it's rare to see them very well prepared that even they create an app and upload it on the Google Play store or Apple Store.

They're spending lots of money knowing that they'll victimize a lot of newbies.
