Well, I have ordered a semi-professional noise meter and an IR-thermometer, because they have confirmed once again that they expect this miner will arrive soon.  Roll Eyes Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Do you not find it odd they are only who has said soon?   Normally a site or two will talk about it if really close.

I think it's further out then "soon', but I would love to be wrong.  But i just don't see the chatter I expect us to have once it's close to release.

I still stand by what I said when the OP was first raised this in early October, that the info from 51ASIC just seemed to be a speculative (Scam?) announcement.

Quote
Very soon !
NEWEST Miner B-ELEVEN
Heshreyt : 3TH / s, 5TH / s, 10TH / s
Power consumption : 260W / TH
Process technology : 14nm
Price: 500 USD for the TH / s

In terms of B-Eleven I agree with Phil that we are going to be well into January at best before we see product. Also remember they have all the pre-sold Hash to deliver and the Bulk order customers.

Rich

Probably this is like the new trend SFARDS started..show a working product eventually ...have the price way to high (some fools will buy) limited guanity lot of 100 (so more $$$ so the wholesalers can sell it at a profit to newbie home miners) very few if any hit the world ..the real goal is newbie IPO $$$ *much richer then home miner newbies*

and then the silence starts when IPO $$$ is reached (or in SFARDS case...they announced another batch 'someday' also in 100 lot buys only)

rinse/wash/repeat

the product annoucne gets the word out shows your chops...gets you IPO $$ plus some chump change from the overypaying small amount of miners you sell to 1st adopter newbies....then make data hall....and run it around again for the next version

seems to be the trend imho (sfard/spondoolies etc)

er again pre-orders are dead..have to show 'some kinda product' but the real point is to get the newbie IPO bucks indeed Smiley

you might be right ,  kind of hate that to .  i get that feeling well never hear from these guys again then one day well see there miners being sold as used some place same thing with SFARDS they will sell off any and all 28 nm miners they have once they start there next gen something like KNC does now . what's  bad is they don't see how it hurts everyone !!! Sad including them, over time  .
1884  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: B-Eleven sha-256 ASIC miner on: December 07, 2015, 11:43:17 PM
We need a low cost miners that can hash in the the tera's...  The S7 is great and all but it's so expensive..  I'm just a hobbyist miner but with the difficulty increasing all the time, it's starting to suck for us small guys  Cry

Actually some miners are already cheaper as higher BTC price.  This causes  the miners to be cheaper if you were holding onto BTC.  So that is good if holding already, if you are not holding it has no effect.

But i have a feeling "low cost" will not meet where you want it to.  If you want current gen miners you pay for it... and they hold value longer and you can even sell them one day when you go to get new.   If your wanting "low cost" you really need to have lower electricity and then can look at used miners.

I know what you are going to say  but why did it go up that high to start with, if they were selling them for around 3 to 500 per miner . that made no sense but did but my thought on the did doesn't all ways agree with others .

but one thought is they messed up there sells some how and got to far a head of them self and have to make it up some how or the other thing i won't go there .

I don't agree they had to they didn't have to . no one ever has to  Smiley .

Stratehm, does but i can't figure out how it works yet ,then again i really haven't tried to either.

Pfool explains there ^, I know you said balance, but the best you can do with a Proxy is what he says. His is the best proxy out there right now,Slush proxy was one of the first ones of it's kind , it does sux to use .
1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to get Zeusminer ThunderX3 Scrypt ASIC mining ? on: December 06, 2015, 12:15:50 AM
Well from personal experience with Sha-256 ASIC hardware I would safely say I'm all good now Grin

I have read reviews about the ThunderX3 and they are right that it sounds like an airplane taking off or even a leave blower due to the poor design of the fans Undecided But.... I read that you can replace them Smiley

Time to have a browse at my local PC parts store Tongue

mine were replaced you could actually sleep in the same room then . they stayed just as cool etc.
1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to get Zeusminer ThunderX3 Scrypt ASIC mining ? on: December 06, 2015, 12:12:05 AM
I rewired all mine right to the PSU no in between plugs which was very stupid, i read a lot stories from others how wires melted at the HB or in between at the y spits or other in between connection, some miners even had 18 g wire which made no sense at all.

when I had them, all i have now is a cyclone, i may sell .
1893  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 5.4.1: GBT+Stratum, RPC, Mac/Linux/Win64, Antminer S1-S5, Block v4 solo on: December 06, 2015, 12:03:50 AM
long time appreciator and respector of lukejr bfgminer, however, i am running into an issue with a laptop that i darin boot n nuke and installed ubuntu and upgraded. so sudo su gets me in and apt-get install bfgminer.
here comes the prob:
when it loads, it says no device? yesm, i already tried add all and zus:all as well, but still no go here on ubuntu and bfgminer trying to connect the x3 thunder up.
It seems to me that the unit IS NOT seeing the x3?, i have the usb plugged in.
Is there a ubuntu terminal cmd i can call to see my devices, like in windows? Also is there a special driver needed or something to run the miner or something like windows  grid seeds?
So, yeah... polling the gurus...
-im sure the guy who gets me going will get his choice of scrypt for a day or something with this beast....
appreciate Smiley

sudo ldconfig

please post what that says >).

1896  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: ASIC Hoarders on the Loose? Is a 2nd Skyrocket in Rig Price Ahead? on: December 04, 2015, 08:47:33 PM
I use a s3 still , may put one or two of my s1 back on line, once side hack comes out with his pods i may buy 5 of those .so yea keep what you have etc.  Block Halving won't hurt a thing it didn't hurt lite coins  there back up to 3 or 4 dollars a coin . I even have a half ass working  S5 I'm gonna keep, hoping to buy a A2 this Tuesday coming , Ive been buying coins to .
1897  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFG 5.4 in a S5 on: December 03, 2015, 02:35:36 PM
Which benefits will give BFGminer on S5?

at this point it doesn't mater any more i should have locked this post, sense i couldnt delete it, i no longer own any S5's .

but to answer your question it seemed to run the S5 better but sense there is no interest and I no longer own one . no point .Smiley .

I did have it running on a S5 but could not find a good enough guide that made it clear just how to update the image etc , sense bitmain made it so we couldn't really update our own images in a easy way .

well you know .
1898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to get Zeusminer ThunderX3 Scrypt ASIC mining ? on: December 03, 2015, 02:15:55 PM
Code:
bfgminer --scrypt -S all -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass -S zeusminer:\\.\COMx --set zeusminer:clock=328 --set zeusminer:chips=128 --set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1
bfgminer  --scrypt -S all -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass --set zeusminer:clock=328 --set zeusminer:chips=128
bfgminer  --scrypt -S all -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass --set zeusminer:clock=328 --set zeusminer:chips=128 --set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1

Make Sure  this is -S all is after --scrypt,

if that doesn't work you may need to open it up and check the dip switches .

https://zeusminer.com/forums/topic/thunder-x3-running-at-15mhs/

The Board with the USB cable going into it, Yes all switches off to give it device 0
Now the next board it plugs in too I set DIP #1 on and the rest off give it device 1
Now the next board it plugs in too I set DIP #2 on and the rest off give it device 2
Now the last board has to be set with DIP #3 and DIP #4 on and the rest off. this gives it the device 3 commmand with a terminate command at the end.

if that doesn't work , check the PSU .

make sure that pool supports that type of script miner. why not use BFG 5.4.1 it handles my cyclone nicely on my pi .

or even try a different pool.

did you try https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.0

So can somebody let me know how to install the latest version of BFGminer on Ubuntu ? I can only get 5.2.0 to install.

That's how do it on my pi's with Ubuntu trusty or  Ubuntu 1.5

Code:
cd /opt
sudo apt-get -y install git-core build-essential autoconf automake libtool pkg-config libcurl4-gnutls-dev libjansson-dev uthash-dev libncursesw5-dev libudev-dev libusb-1.0-0-dev libevent-dev libmicrohttpd-dev libc-bin
sudo git clone https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer.git
cd /opt/bfgminer
sudo ./autogen.sh
sudo chmod +x ./configure
sudo ./configure CFLAGS="-O2" --enable-scrypt --enable-broad-udevrules --disable-other-drivers --enable-icarus --enable-zeusminer --enable-gridseed --enable-bitmain
sudo make
sudo ldconfig
lsusb
sudo ./bfgminer --version

i use sudo because i don't do it at root, i have a user set up for sudo use with non root.

The antminers can run GBT with bfg with np.
1900  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BM1384 Pod Miner plus trade-in/recycling - an interest and feasibility poll on: December 03, 2015, 04:53:53 AM

I talked to some one who may have been ripped off by this seller on ebay, the guy who told me that is buying my last s5, once i get a 18 pin cable and test the replacement board and other board to gather.  he told me he paid about that and is fighting with PayPal to get it back . just a tip.

I see the auction as kinda funny "EASY REPAIR!!! DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE ONLY ONE OF THE HASH BOARDS ARE WORKING REPAIRABLE".... if it's so easy why did seller not fix and sell as working S5? Am I the only one seeing that.

Sounds like scammy or at least bad sellsman to say it's very easy to fix! I just cant do it... you can though!  Also talking about bitmain warranty when I doubt any S5 is within warranty... no one should buy from there.

I see all kind of stuff wrong there !!! i even tried to put one in my cart and got a 404 page error if i click to add to my cart, but, if I click buy now, it sets me up to buy, i don't know how many, LMAO ..

Now the add to my cart works and it said it was the last one for 288 $ ,

I trust the guy on the forums that told me, then that link . i have bought a few things off the guy that told me about that seller.
