why most of us didn't update the avatar with our real picture like we have done on facebook & twitter?

Think of the multiple alts people have - how would they upload their real pics?
1882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Satoshi's coins be deleted? on: May 15, 2015, 07:10:19 AM
Satoshi himself could have lost / destroyed all records of the private key, making those coins unspendable.
Nobody else has any right to decide what to do with those coins.

Sunrisers Hyderabad v Royal Challengers Bangalore – May 15, 2015 - This will be much important match for both team to qualify for the Semi Final of this tournament. Royal Challengers Bangalore team is performing better than sunrisers - lets wait and see  Huh

It is a crucial match for both teams and they will be giving their best. There is just one point separating the 2 teams.
The teams are evenly matched, though I am not sure about the odds being offered.
1884  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★ +1.3M bets ★ +60k BTC wagered on: May 13, 2015, 04:31:50 PM
I've been silent on Bitcoin Talk on this topic, because all the juicy gossip is in the chat box. But I will say that yes, there's a tournament this Saturday, and no, there isn't an "official" announcement yet.

Is there a conscious effort to shift the discussion to the chat box from Bitcointalk?
There seem to be only 30-40 users in the chatbox when I check. It doesn't seem to have attained critical mass yet.

1890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government and Bitcoin on: May 06, 2015, 02:31:20 AM
Because they are just figuring it out? They will come around.

When the first VCRs came out there were a lot of people who wanted them banned. Almost all of the early adoption came from porn. Many could not see beyond this one use of the device, just as many look at BTC and think Silk Road is the reason it's popular.

I think we will have banks taking an explicit stand on Bitcoin, and governments will follow.
We should expect banks to 'figure it out', before the government does.  Grin
1891  Other / Off-topic / Re: I never seen such a selfish community forum. on: May 06, 2015, 02:11:03 AM
You obviously have not seen BiPolarBob LOL.

I never could understand BiPolarBob.
But one of the reasons he stands out is because the others are so selfish around here.
He even received negative feedback.  Wink
1892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin actually ready to go mainstream? on: May 06, 2015, 02:09:18 AM
There's too much talk about bitcoin going mainstream, clearly that's not happening in near future. The next area where bitcoin could gain ground right now is in the informal economy. I'm not talking about drugs and other illegal stuff so much as stuff like craigslist, used vehicle sales between individuals, all kinds of stuff like that. Bitcoin is ready for mass adoption in that field and if lots of people were to start using it for that type of trade the ecosystem would grow big-time. At that point, maybe THEN it would be ready for more mainstream commerce. I'm planning on starting a thread on this topic.

For vehicle sales between individuals, people might still prefer cash, unless one of the individuals is actually looking at buying bitcoins as well. I think when people are separated by large distances and are looking to trade over the internet, bitcoin will have a natural fit. Online marketplaces - that's my bet.
1893  Other / Off-topic / Re: Milestone - i've earned 0.5 BTC on: May 05, 2015, 02:22:00 AM
Earned 0.5btc in four months, that's quick. Don't only think of posting in bitcointalk as earning bitcoin. It should be learning and promoting bitcoin too  Wink

Couldn't agree more. Smiley

People earn very little bitcoins through faucets, but it is a wonderful way of getting to know Bitcoin. Signature campaigns are a level higher and you are past that too. Before long, you will reach 1BTC
1894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin IOUs replace actual bitcoins? on: May 05, 2015, 02:19:11 AM
What makes sense to me is bitcoin banks can store your coins but every depositor has their own address they can watch.
the funds are insured and you pay a small maintanence fee for the account.  This kind of system would
eliminate all the fractional reserve BS, and once one solid company provided it, nothing less would be
considered acceptable.  So that's where I think the future is.

Of course some people will want to store some or all of their own coins and that's fine too.

If you have 2 similar banks / companies - one ready to pay interest on your deposits, and the other where you have to pay a fee to store your bitcoins, which would you prefer? The majority would choose to receive interest. Fractional Reserve banking can't be wished away that easily.  Smiley
1895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin actually ready to go mainstream? on: May 05, 2015, 02:16:59 AM
It needs a few more killer apps, IMO.

Such as? Bitcoin has all it needs to go 'mainstream' and continue to grow, all we need is people, industries and merchants to get on board and the rest will come naturally. Give it time and we'll get there.

Maybe an insured wallet app that allows easy switching between your fiat bank account and bitcoin? It is still not easy for new users but we are getting there.

With this kind of volatility, people may start using it as their personal trading account.  Grin
I guess we would need more stability before insurance companies step in. Otherwise, the premiums would be very high and could be deal breakers.

Ok. It is guaranteed that your thread gets a lot of views.
What next?
1897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshi still have plans to access his coins? on: May 04, 2015, 12:06:29 AM
Being the inventor of an innovation that is conceptualized to be against the current financial system and given the power he/she has over bitcoin, personally I would be more than careful for my safety because apparently, many people would like to know who am I and where do I live etc. that may be harmful for my personal safety and for my family as well. Satoshi Nakamoto did a great feat on staying anonymous, though some articles say that his/her IP address have somewhat been traced, but that doesn't mean that he/she is known already.

Even if he does guard his real identity carefully, I think he may have made some mention of bitcoins in his will. It would be a shame to let all those coins lie unused for ever.
1898  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is size matter? on: May 03, 2015, 04:07:49 PM
Hello Mate, I'm an Asian and turning to 21, whenever I had sex with my girlfriend I'm always reached mu climax within 2 mins. I think she's not satisfied at all to me because it's to fast and to furious. To be honest I had a 3 inch size of mine it's called Asian's Size.

I want to ask what is the best natural way to have a bigger penis and better stamina in having sex?

Don't worry about sex.  Just understand that you will be with her for the rest of the days of your life on this earth and the next.  So there's nothing to worry about really..

She is his current girlfriend. He is not bonded to her for eternity.
Don't scare the poor kid.  Tongue
1899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Do It! on: May 03, 2015, 04:05:13 PM
The OP isn't telling you to not hold bitcoins, he's saying don't do bad things with it, and obviously he's right. Those that ridicule him are simply using sad logically flawed attempts at convincing themselves that they're not assholes without morals.

The lesson is not "Don't do bad things with Bitcoin". The lesson is "Don't do bad things".
If you are a criminal, you are going to get your comeuppance, whether you use Bitcoin or not.
1900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the turning point? on: May 03, 2015, 03:25:43 PM
Would the setting up of Silk Road be such an event?
The target audience of SR would definitely not have been just crypto enthusiasts.
Further down the line, media coverage would have increased awareness about Bitcoin.
