1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 17, 2017, 04:16:09 PM
after seeing this results i wonder whether Chelsea will slipped at the end of season because range points are pretty near to Tottenham now and i think today Chelsea was playing bad especially for the second half that i can see Rashford has did solo run and none of the Chelsea players stop him but unfortunately he could not make score from that

This is what Tottenham hotspurs needed. Actually I never see Chelsea play so bad like yesterday against Manchester United. Even when they lost against Crystal Palace they play better. Idk personally I really want to see Spurs to be a champions, I'm not Spurs Fan, but I think this is the perfect time for them. After yesterday match, I think Spurs still have a big Chance to take the 1st place.
Chelsea players has did too many mistakes in this match and seems they attack stuck outside Manchester United penalty box only and if Chelsea lost again on the next several matches i think we will see Tottenham as the champion and i'm pretty sure Conte will be sacked because with only 6 matches available and Chelsea slipped the owners would not accept this

Conte has already taken responsibility for the loss against Manchester United, which is refreshing. Chelsea are still 4 points ahead and can finish at the top of the table. I don't think we should be looking that far ahead and contemplate Conte's sacking.
1122  Economy / Speculation / Re: effect of Japan on bitcoin price speculation on: April 16, 2017, 10:37:42 AM
I don't see any topics about this so here we go.

according to coinmarketcap.com when you sort the table based on volume, among the top 10 exchanges sorted by daily volume you can see 4 of them are BTC/JPY markets with a total of $36,444,090 volume currently for the past 24 hours.
although 3 of them have an * above them which can mean there is no fee (or some other thing) on these exchanges.

apart from high trade volume my main subject is the fact that Japan recently adopted bitcoin on a massive scale since it is now legal and a legit currency.

so what do we expect from all this in short or long term.

I am always surprised that Bitcoin has rebounded in Japan, after the Mt Gox fiasco. Increased regulation means that the government has learnt its lessons. Japan is after all the world's fourth largest economy and increased adoption in Japan is good for the world.
1123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: April 16, 2017, 10:34:06 AM
If literally no one spent it at all, mining would cease to be profitable in time due to the absence of transaction fees and eventually, when miners stop working, Bitcoin would become useless because no transfers would take place anymore.

We should look at Bitcoin's price if nobody uses it. Transaction fees don't account for a significant portion of miners' income. The block reward is the main form of income.
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: own currency on: April 16, 2017, 10:30:11 AM
Hello
I have a basic questions .
May I have a own currency in market ?! Own currency have illegal agreement ?!
Please describe about federal agreement no technical discussion.

Tanks
S.m . Jalilian

Yes, you can have your own currency. As long as Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are legal, yours will be too.
The problem is in convincing others to use your currency.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could LTC go to $1000.00 ? on: April 16, 2017, 10:27:47 AM
LTC's best case scenario is to be worth 0.01 BTC, and is getting there.
LTC will get to $1000 when BTC gets to $100,000. I don't see that happening soon.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 16, 2017, 10:26:01 AM
today match
West Bromwich Albion Vs Liverpool
liverpool play with full team, need point , and playing all out, i think liverpool can win, both team score,
althoug play awah in WBA home, i think liverpool can still win

West Brom has a couple of injury worries and its players will have to take fitness tests before the match. While a fully fit West Brom can trouble Liverpool, I expect Liverpool to still win.
My fulltime prediction: 2-0 in favour of Liverpool.
1127  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Joinmarket - Coinjoin that people will actually use on: April 16, 2017, 04:46:25 AM
Are high transaction fees killing joinmarket volumes? Volumes seem to have dried up, at least in my experience.

Do we as a community have a preference for Bitcoin Core vs Bitcoin Unlimited? I know that it is a divisive topic, but can we configure Joinmarket to work with Bitcoin Unlimited as well?

If we can discuss "as well", the preference does not matter. What matters I think, there is a demand of both Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Unlimited.

So, if it is possible, Joinmarket should provide configuration for both. Do you agree?

Detailed discussion on the same in reddit.

If you are focussing only on one chain and don't care about the other chain, then you can just do nothing and continue running Joinmarket.  Smiley
1128  Economy / Speculation / Re: War is coming on: April 16, 2017, 04:38:13 AM
Next war will be nuclear or atomic and that would be the end of world.
I have also started to think about another world war after trump ordered to throw the biggest non-nuclear bomb ever made in afganistan. Who gave him permission to just throw his bombs in land of other's  Huh

USA is digging their nose in internal issues of several countries and they are using those countries as testing ground for their weapons.

The ISIS were hiding in caves. Be thankful that the US didn't decide to nuke the entire area.
If war does come, my biggest concern would be saving my life, not saving my bitcoins.
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Portfolio App for IOS ? on: April 16, 2017, 04:34:04 AM
Are there any privacy concerns over using a portfolio app to record your alt holdings?
I personally use a spreadsheet and track it the primitive way.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 16, 2017, 04:32:32 AM
Crystal Palace came back from an early goal to draw the match against Leicester 2-2. They conceded the lead in the sixth minute and at one point were trailing 2-0. Strong comeback to salvage a point from this match.
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: April 15, 2017, 02:09:44 PM
http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

Currently it's at the edge of activation, I think it will go below 75% in a block variance event and the counter is reset back to 0 since as far as I know the signaling must be continued.

More hashrate is needed again, because of Jihan's anti-segwit signaling.

We have to sustain this over a much longer period, before Segwit does get activated.
The positive is that even if the counter is reset, and the hashing power is over 75%, eventually it will be sustained for the required 6048 out of 8064 blocks.
1132  Economy / Speculation / Re: [UPDATE] $1,200 HITTED (Next goal is $1,300) on: April 15, 2017, 01:54:09 PM
I think we are not going to see 1300 until May or June since we will need new money in order to make that push and reach that price and we will probably need even more good news coming for bitcoin to gives us a rally.

I think it will be hard to hit $1300 on May or June, because the price of bitcoin is kind of weird. If you look at the chart, when the bitcoin's price reach $1210+ the bitcoin price going down suddenly to $1180+ and the price increase again slowly and repeat. I don't know what happen but i think it means the price of bitcoin is stable for now.

It just means that the $1220-$1250 resistance is very, very strong. You need a real positive trigger - like ETF approval or solution to the blocksize debate for these resistance levels to be breached.
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC it is acting like Bubble on: April 15, 2017, 01:51:33 PM
I think there is no movement in ETC, whether ETC belongs to ETH company?
Is it completely different from ETH because we don't see any price movements in the market.
Can anyone share your ideas about ETC?

When you ask whether ETC belongs to ETH company, it makes me laugh.
Why are you worried about a bubble when you say that there is no movement in ETC?
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 15, 2017, 01:49:05 PM
These are my picks for the EPL today,

Watford - Swansea City  Watford Win

Crystal Palace - Leicester City   Crystal Palace Win or Draw

Southampton - Manchester City  Goals Over 1.5

Crystal Palace are really playing well. They have beaten both Chelsea and Arsenal this month.
I predict Crystal Palace beating Leicester City 2-1. It will be close, but Palace will prevail.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 13, 2017, 01:35:31 AM
Hey guys this may be Wengers game plan. Wenger probably figured that the last two league champions i.e Leicester and Chelsea (lets face it chelsea will win the league) didn't play in the champions league. So he decides not to qualify so he can win the league next season. "Genius".
mhhm, i dont think this strategy will fare well when he gets sacked at the end of the season

Wenger has been offered a new 2 year contract, when his current one ends. Uncertainty over his future seems to be affecting the way Arsenal plays. He should just make up his mind and say whether he accepts the contract or he is moving on.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ZEC] Zcash Speculation on: April 13, 2017, 01:32:42 AM
is there any good news about the ZEC  Angry Angry
I see a decline in prices, due to his lack of Zec project that was developed by Dev
The only reason i know that the price of ZEC was really high in the beginning was simply they have a good marketing campaign and the hype and money they have to promote the coin and i am not sure why people went behind it for a coin which has major advantage to the developers where they have all the advantage and from what i know it is a pre mined for their advantage.

It was nothing but the hype and the slow-start mining. This led the price being over 3 BTC at the start.
However, things normalized pretty quickly. Now we are seeing a slow increase in value.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to support Litecoin segwit? on: April 13, 2017, 01:29:04 AM
Too much weightage is given to the proportion of hashing power, number of nodes signalling support, etc.
The developers should just go ahead and activate it.
1138  Economy / Speculation / Re: what happened to the volatility in BTC in the last week on: April 11, 2017, 04:20:35 PM
This lull in the market is temporary. Be prepared for a storm.
When movement (either upward or downwards) happens, it tends to be violent.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 11, 2017, 04:17:18 PM
That was a terrible result by Arsenal and I can't see them making the top 4 and qualifying for the Champions League now. I had high hopes for them this season and I even put money on them to finish in the top 4 but looks like I have lost my money on that as I can't see it happening now after this poor performance.

It was more than terrible, it was embarassingly bad. The knives are out for Wenger.
Arsenal didn't manage to get a single shot on target in the second half. They should be happy that their margin of loss was not worse.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to create a new cryptocurrency on: April 11, 2017, 04:13:18 PM
Guys im planning to create a new cryptocurrency but scared to failed. Do you think newbie like me have a chance?

What do you lose by failing? You do put in some effort and failure can hurt your ego.
But you should just learn to pick up the pieces and move on.
