1941  Other / Meta / Re: Cryptocurrency Casinos Are Ruling The Signature Campaign Here In Bitcointalk on: November 06, 2022, 12:54:30 AM
This is not a gambling forum though, it just so happen that bitcoin or any other crypto is "digital money', just like fiat so it's just a matter of time that online casino's are going to pop up that is going to accept crypto and that's what happen in the last 2 years or so.

But I will say that there are a lot of gamblers here, whether they are really hard core before they found out about bitcoin or just members who become gamblers because they had to as part of their 'job' to promote certain sports bookies and casinos.
1942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 06, 2022, 12:20:52 AM
On my unofficial scorecard, it seems to be that Bivol has domination this fight very clearly.

It's like another Canelo performance for him, jab, 1-2 and then combinations and footwork. And when Ramirez tries to make a comeback, Bivol will just sidestep and uses his movement.

Edit: Bivol won by UD 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111.

What the heck, it's not even a good fight. Ramirez just turned into a punching bag to Bivol. The score is not even close.

Ramirez is a disappointment. It's ok to lose but he should at least shows competitiveness.\

Bivol once again plays the game smoothly but surely like what he did against Canelo where the priority is to get many points as possible.

Or perhaps Bivol is really too good for Ramirez, and even if Ramirez has the height and reach advantage, he don't know how to executed it and Bivol bring his A-game again just like in the Canelo fight and didn't disappoint his fans.

I think for this win, he could be a great candidate for boxer of the year, dominant win against the best boxer we have this century and then putting a exclamation point on his defense of his belt against Ramirez.
1943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BSV doesn’t need exchanges according to this coingeek editorial! on: November 05, 2022, 08:37:35 AM
Contrary to popular belief, BSV does not need to be listed on the most popular centralized exchanges for its price to increase.

https://coingeek.com/bsv-doesnt-need-exchanges/

Talk about finding a silver lining in a grey cloud. These coingeek people where do they come from?? earth to coingeek!

LOL, the authors really doesn't understand how and why a project should be listed on popular exchanges. And it help them a lot to get where the price they want because listing on exchanges like Binance will bring new investors to them thus pushing the price to significant levels.

Quote
I say this because some of the most popular coins and tokens from an investment, speculation, or even utility (think coins and tokens used for games) perspective were not listed on big-name exchanges but still experienced demand that led to exponential increases in value and application use.

I might tend to agree, but look BSV is touted to be the real one right? it's not like its another utility or token or altcoins. It's supposedly the vision of Satoshi and yet you are not going to put in on popular exchange and believed that people will simply invest on them? I don't think so.
1944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Firms Taking Advantage of the Bear Market to Enter into the Crypto Space on: November 05, 2022, 08:11:34 AM
I don't have the list, but I would say that this is also the same thing that happen in 2018, lots of institution slowly getting their hands on Bitcoin because it is very cheap. Some are very vocal about it, but I would tend to believed that there are more companies who secretly invested as early at that time and might be revealing themselves just in the last couple of years.

And I guess majority of them have made the right decision that time to invest and continue to accumulate as obviously we have seen the price risen to an eventual bull run of ATH at $69,000.
1945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: November 05, 2022, 07:47:39 AM
It's indeed very disappointing to see Crawford-Spence not pushed through when the timing is perfect, where both still in their prime, and both undefeated and very skilled fighters.

I understand the frustration but surely, after dealing successfully with their respective match, the talks about the possibility of them facing each other will resume next year. It's good that both camps know the problem of why the negotiation failed and they surely will address it in their next talks.

However, there's recent news that Spence might move up to 154 lbs and vacate his title. If this happened, then the unification fight between Crawford and Spence won't happen anymore unless they will meet again on the top of 154 lbs which I think there's only a slight chance of happening given their age.

i believe the disappointment was similar when mayweather-pacquiao didn't fight when they were both at their prime. but if spence and crawford will go separate ways, then, we don't know if they will still cross paths in the future. we will see by next year if this anticipated match will still have the chance.
if both are winning with their chosen opponents, and their respective promoters are seeing the demand and possible huge payout of their career, i believe, their match will still happen.

Just for the record, Crawford is not tied to any promoters or networks, so it's easy for him to make any fight including this one. And that is one reason whey we are all baffled by the fight not happening because that is one sticking point before. Is that his promoter that time, TR, doesn't want to work with Al Haymon and PBC. But that stumbling block has been removed by Crawford and yet the fight is still not happening and negotiations didn't materialized.

Not anymore because Crawford has come out of the shadow and talked raw information regarding the unification fight cancelled, I used the term cancelled because Crawford now is taking a different route from what we're expecting, they haven't officially announced the cancellation but that's what we've got so far. So anyway, Crawford now revealed that Al Haymon is one of the big reasons why the fight didn't materialize.

Yes, Al Haymon never give him the chance to say the least and he wanted to have full control of the fight from the beginning and even threaten that they can go out and have fight for Spence for someone and still get 10 figures.

Anyhow, he said that he move forward, choosen a dangerous fighter that can bang and give fight fans a good fight and at the same time, Crawford will show his skills against a puncher.

Yes, he has a fight now in schedule so definitely, he is taking over he is the boss of himself and doesn't have the like of Haymon that can dictate everything and has a cut every time he fight.

So people would have say that he cherry pick David her including myself, but still a good fight for him style-wise.

And if Spence fight Thurman since both are with Al, then it's good as well. But what Crawford revealed seems to be going on a direction that this fight is not going to be made in the future. Specially on how he portray Al Haymon now.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you watching Online Gambling Streams? Short survey and discussion on: November 05, 2022, 07:22:05 AM
Check the link:

Yes, there are times that I just feel like watching gambling streams, I don't know, maybe to refresh myself or to be just entertain seeing those huge bets by the streamers and hoping that I can be that whale in the future.  Grin

Of course we wanted to see their strategy, but for slots, I guess i will go for that max bet every time and then see how I will fare if I got the bonus spin with that amount of bet.
Me too, it became a habit to watch gambling streams. Sometimes even though I am not playing too much or frequent these days I still watch those online streams related to gambling it gives me satisfaction but not really the kind of feeling when I am the one who actually plays but I don't know, it also gives me some tips in gambling.

--
I'll try to answer the survey OP when I got home.

I guess it's normal for us gamblers to watch and see this gambling streamers, not that we wanted to become one, but the fun and excitement. And there could be reaction to the win that are really genuine to begin with and so we can feel those streamers winning huge amount of money or even cashing it out.

Although we can do that, like playing free games, but there's nothing like seeing someone with real money, regardless if it comes from the casino that they sponsored or their own money that can be reimbursed later.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: November 05, 2022, 06:38:09 AM

I'm surprised here that Spence Jr. still not yet giving much detailed content about why the fight failed to materialize. Being silent is not a good thing for me unless he himself is part of that failed negotiation. Moving forward, Crawford now finally moved on and now chooses to sign another fight.

But we don't know if the negotiation about this fight against Spence will resume next year now that Crawford already witnessed what happened in their first negotiation. Should be one of the biggest fight this year but unfortunately, we might not witnessed it anymore.

Crawford is right in his decision to move on, its Spence's camp that keeps delaying the fight they want to extract all the money that they can on this fight, and Spence being quiet on the accusation makes us all believe that he agreed on Al Haymond's decision I consider Crawford the real A1 fighter between the two as he agreed to the terms but the other cannot, Spence should get rid of Al Haymond he is the stumbling to make this fight happen.

But I don't think that he can just get rid of Al at this point of his career, Al did a great job mentoring to where Spence is at it right now. And as far as I know, Al is the only black personality at least as a promoter that is powerful enough to guide them.

So it's hard to imagine him leaving PBC just to pursue his fight with Crawford.

On the other hand, Crawford said that he has move forward and the next fight of his is the a new beginning for him, probably as a solo boxer with no promotional ties and wanted to dictate everything in his own terms although it's kinda late in his career.
1948  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: November 04, 2022, 10:04:14 AM
As explained both have benefits, me? I'm a salary based person, but I quit my job long time ago to focus on business and then crypto trading/investing.

But there are some of my friends who really thrived on commission based, I don't know how do they did it, but I will tell that they are very successful. Specially in selling properties like condos and houses, it will take some time for them, but once they got their first sales, it's smooth sailing. One thing they told me is that network is very important for them and that you just don't know, maybe the person you just met will be your future clients.
1949  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast will Bitcoin fall down? on: November 04, 2022, 09:32:36 AM
Hi. I'm a newbie and I'm just learning about this topic. There are many questions that I would like to understand, maybe this one has already been discussed, but I didn't find the thread, sorry. How reliable is Bitcoin, what will it be if someone will generate a new blockchain or another digital currency, will it make bitcoin fall down, and how fast?

Did you mean secure? (as opposed to reliable?), I guess it mostly secure, it's just how you manage your bitcoin, how you keep it so that you are not giving any chance for a hacker to steal your very own BTC. And Bitcoin blockchain hasn't been broken yet.

Regarding your second question, we can't really tell how fast bitcoin goes down, specially in the current market that we are in. But the basic is that it is base on supply and demand, so if there are more people wanting to buy then the price will go up, same on how it will go down.
1950  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: November 04, 2022, 09:10:16 AM
Halloween is now over. Perhaps some of you participated in tournaments from iGaming providers. Black Friday is next on the list.
As it is no longer associated solely with marketing campaigns of offline and online retailers, bookmakers and casinos actively support the November fever too.
They offer players FS from providers and various promo activities  from the platforms themselves.
Question - are you expecting exclusive promo offerings on the Black Friday?

I think just like what we want, free rolls, or everything that is free, LOL.

I'm not sure if they can make it like exclusive for Bitcointalk users only, because online gambling now are worldwide.

For sure though, as you are still new here, perhaps it will be better if you and your platform will offer something like that here in the community and that will be great. Or you can even have competitions.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 04, 2022, 08:51:33 AM
Here are some videos of Manny doing some training for this fight:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcxvQmBLxdQ

Dude has still the speed and footwork and obviously those punches have power behind it. I still think that Manny can still pull the trigger and can win 90% against the current 147 lbs boxers that we have right now.

And there are Koreans in the background also filming this fight to show to DK Yoo, hehehehe.
Thanks!

It's a great coincidence that I've seen some of Manny's video in the Running Man episodes and he seems really enjoying on that show. I now understand why he's there.

It's a lot of commitment that he flew there to South Korea. From those TV guestings, to training and with the upcoming fight against DK Yoo since the venue is there in SK.

Manny is used to traveling a lot, so I guess this is just one of those from him and then then the TV guesting and exposure of him in the Korean market, that is already a win win for DK Yoo in South Korea as he can expend his fans based even more.

Based on the video, nothing has change, Manny still has that speed in him, it's really in-born I guess that's whey even if he aged, he still possesses that and probably the power too. And there are probably a lot of TV guesting for Manny as the fight is still very far.
1952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: November 04, 2022, 08:31:40 AM
There's probably some truth on what Crawford told here, for sure PBC and Haymon wants to fuck him up as far as making money here and Haymon wouldn't be this powerful if for some boxers that really don't know a thing or two as far as negotiations is concern. And when we thought that this fight could be made, now I have doubts specially on how the way PBC handles it with Crawford.
1953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: November 03, 2022, 09:20:50 AM
"Is the bear market over? Hard to say, but a lot of the bad news was priced in. With a maximum drawdown of -28%, SPX discounted 85% of a typical 33% market decline and 78% of a recession bear market. I still like the 1946 counterpart-"

Well there could be some correlation between crypto and other traditional financial market. But I would say that crypto is much volatile and it will hit very hard by the bear market. So if by chance those market are bouncing, maybe crypto is not. And if we are going to look at the historical past, then we might say that we are still in the bear market and this could continue till the first quarter of 2024, or before the Bitcoin block halving. And probably after that activity, the market will slowly bounce and then leading up to the end of the year for a full recovery and bull market.
1954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this Lead to the Mass Adoption of Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2022, 08:52:18 AM
I was under the impression that Elon Musk is more willing to accept his Doge than Bitcoin though as payment for that $8/month for those blue badge Twitter account.

Anyhow, even if Twitter does accept Bitcoin, I don't think it will lead to mass adoption. We are already showing growth already, and it will take accumulation of factors to say that we are being adopted by everyone. This could be one of the many factors though, but for me it should come from government to make Bitcoin legal tender just like what El Salvador did.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 03, 2022, 08:13:53 AM
Bob Arum won't do that for sure even if the market is too good for both promoters if Inoue will go straight to the champions, either Fulton or Murodjon. There's a lot of undefeated boxers on the super-bantam division that will be good for Inoue in his first fight, testing the waters first will be the best option, there's no need to hurry even if Inoue have a good chance against these guys.

Since Naoya Inoue is currently prime, he can generate more money by fighting other boxers in the meantime instead of going against directly the champions. Like what happened to Pacquiao during his prime and being managed by Bob Arum, there are fights of his that give disappointment fans but in return, still always produced sold-out tickets and PPV. As we know Arum, he will maximize what Inoue can bring before considering him to fight for the title match.

From what I see if ever Inoue will moved up, he will have 2-3 non-title fights first then after that, a title match will be next.

Bob Arum might take that route as well for Inoue I think that is the best move, have 2 fights are non bearing, just to get a feel on 122 lbs. Unless they see Fulton as a paper and weak champion then they might opt to go for it, but the only hurdle is the promotion, as Stephen is with PBC.

So we will see, and for sure Inoue's camp is going to watch Casimero's move to 122 lbs as he could be a potential fight for them in the future.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 03, 2022, 12:46:46 AM
^^ Good to hear that Filipino boxers are going to be included in this fight.

But as far as the undercard, I'm not familiar with the majority of the names. But who knows, the future is already in some of this boxers.

And with that, I guess everyone is looking for the main card between Bivol and Ramirez. Odds still favour Bivol the last time I checked so maybe gamblers will go and bet on him, whether decision or knockout win.
1957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 vs exchanges address. What is the different ?? on: November 02, 2022, 10:04:15 AM
Even if the airdrop coin becomes tradable on some exchanges, it is possible the exchange you chose is not supporting the coin.

could you explain this a little more boss?

You are referring to centralized exchanges. On centralized exchanges, you do not have complete control, it is not your private key. The owners of the coins on centralized exchanges are not the users of the exchange, but the people that owns the exchange.

Assuming there is an airdrop, you provided the address of an exchange, but the coin is not trading on the exchange, that means the exchange will give you nothing and you will lose the coin while it is with the exchange.

If you use a wallet that has private key, it is your coin, you have the complete control. You will be able to exchange the airdrop coin at any available means of exchange which are probably decentralized exchanges.

There are many ways people can lose money on centralized exchanges, this is just one of them.
this means if I submit a exchange address for an airdrop, if i win the the airdrop those coins will be sent to the address I submit?? and the exchange owners will keep it by them and I will receive nothing?? am I correct???

Yes, it will be on the custody of the exchange owners and not yours technically. And besides, maybe there will be some changes in the addresses, for example, the project decided to have a version 2.0 of their project, hence a new addresses.

If the exchange are not going to support the new address then your old address will be worthless.

So it's better you will submit a address that you can control and having the private keys at your side.
1958  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 02, 2022, 09:25:18 AM
I voted for Yes. It seems that the investors are back on track on bitcoin, I guess the target for this month should be around $21,000. We need to go up to that price and then sustain it that run.

We've seen it happened last October, it's that when we reach it, there are a lot of sellers and now it became the biggest barrier so far for our next rally. So we will see and hopefully we can get through that price this November.
1959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online casinos disadvantage some locations from winning big on: November 02, 2022, 09:05:17 AM
That’s slot machine and probably the casinos are using something to limit the number of winners or else, many will make money if they didn’t control it and that mat cause them a bankruptcy. Casinos knows how to win always and that’s the reality even if the authority asked them for this, they can easily defend that because that’s how gambling works and we have to deal with that.

For slot machines, of course, they can set the RTP so that they will have all the advantage, i.e. house edge.

But as far as the premise of the OP, I totally disagree with it, casino's will and should not go that extent, it's already cheating per se. Again, they can set up everything to favor them, but I doubt that they will cheat it that way. Let the house edge win the game for them. Because as the longer we play, the higher the chances that we are going to lose.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: November 02, 2022, 08:46:39 AM
50 page thread on a fight that might never be 😲.  I hope as much as ypu all this goes down but got to face the facts it just might never come to fruition.  Just might need to let this thread die a peaceful death Smiley.

Probably, but who knows, maybe next year there will be a fresh set of negotiations between the 2 camps and this fight comes to fruition when everyone thought that the fight is dead.

So yeah, might as well keep the thread open, and when there is an update, someone could pick it up and post it here. But for this year, the fight is officially not going to happen.
