1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 02, 2022, 07:35:55 AM
^^ @1.55 for Bivol to win by decision, I think that is juicy enough for those backers of him, but they have to pour some money on him so get a good returns.

the odds if Bivol wins are dropping a lot, it looks like Ramirez won't have any chance of winning the fight, what the hell is the difference in odds?

Bivol = @1.24

Ramirez = @3.90

betting on Bivol with odds of @1.24 is a waste of money, because that odd is very low, maybe I'll put it in a parlay with some soccer game or another sport, I'll still think about it, but I still think they put such a low odd in favor do Bivol and then Bivol loses this fight people who bet on Bivol will be angry with the result if he loses the fight

Professional boxing odds are kind of weird compared to other sports like soccer and basketball. This fight is 60/40 in favor of Bivol but the odds aren't reflecting it. Probably because in professional boxing, all fights are recorded and introduced continuously without resetting which means a single defeat will remain like a stain forever while the other sports' win-loss records will reset at every start of another season.

I am contemplating betting for that Bivol by decision odds. But looking at their skills, Zurdo might let his hands go and try to KO Bivol as it seems unlikely that he can outbox the champion. This might also create openings for Bivol to land his power shots and score his own KO in the late rounds.

Yes, it's really hard to see what kind of fight this will be, on the other hand, we think that Bivol is really the favorite because of the tools he had, but Ramirez is tall and lengthy that might give Bivol problems.

And so if the fight goes to distance, I not seeing Bivol to score a knockout, on the contrary Ramirez might make the fight very close in the judges score card and could take the late rounds.
1962  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History of Poker on: October 30, 2022, 12:51:21 AM
Indeed, poker is one of the oldies games in gambling.

Why people enjoyed and keep playing poker? It's because of someone skills, it's a pure skill unlike relying on pure luck on other gambling games. This is also why we have a list of best of the best in poker that is written on history of poker.

Yes, it's your skills vs someone, so in the beginning it's like you against like 5 players in the table. But as the game progresses it might be just 1:1.

Interesting history, although I'm seldom play poker, but I do like it, and we all know, there are a lot of small to big poker tournaments now. Even televised and got a lot of viewers and we have seen variations of it. Even in movies they are being glamorized:

1963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 30, 2022, 12:35:03 AM
Holger rune seem on fire recently after winning the stockholm Atp against tsitsipas he is dominating his opponents in basel tournaments he have beaten easily, de minaur Humbert and today Rinderknech, it seems that his next opponent is bautista agut, another one in a good shape i think he is a little bit favourite to win i expect it to be a war my bet is on him and alcaraz to make it to the final.

Yes, another young gun that we have to look at specially in the last couple of games here, he was really on fire destroying his tough opponent. Now he will be facing Bautista-Agut in the semifinals.

On the other hand, Alcaraz vs FAA, this is gong to be a classic. I wouldn't be surprised if the match goes on another three sets with tie break in between. But let me try to beat on FAA here, at 2.08 odds, is not that bad and I think it's a value bet for me.

That's not a bad price for Felix AA, I see on Rollbit he is 1.99 now and Alcaraz is at 1.83,
very close so it might be better to go with Alcaraz purely on being #1?

also a consideration is that Felix has a great service game if it goes to tie breaks.....

In the other Semi final Rune v Batista Agut I'm going with Rune. As Ratash says he seems to
be on fire alright, I have him at 1.55.

Good bet guys, FAA easily bet Alcaraz in 2 sets, 6-3, 6-2. I never thought that this will be score, not sure what happened to Alcaraz in this game, but it seems that FAA has got his numbers and didn't allow Alcaraz to take control of the match.

While on the other Semi final, Rune was pushsed by Bautista-Agut to 2 tie set breaks, but it was Rune who has the next and survived. So we won't see two young players in the finals or at least a Alcaraz vs Rune.

So congrats on your bet.

Auger played an amazing match against Alcaraz that has been struggling lately. Alcaraz is not showing that he deserves the first place and is there just by pure luck. Happy that Auger destroyed him to just put him down on the ground. Auger has a big chance to win this tournament

Yes, that's what I noticed against Alcaraz in this tournament, he is just struggling and a matter of time before he was exposed and I did think that FAA will be right guy to do that and he was the underdog so it's a good value bet for me.

In the Finals, I will still go with FAA here, although the ML is just around 1.3-1.4. But I think I will go with that one and put enough money for a good return. I'm also thinking about about the Over/Under bet, but we shall see.
1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Technology is one thing, innovation is another. on: October 29, 2022, 08:21:57 AM
Yes indeed Technology is one thing, innovation is another.
My question here is what are the next AltCoins Gems for the people  in Q1 2023. also, I stand to be corrected

LOL, I thought I will get some new topic here, in any case it was just the same questions we hear over and over again.

And the same answer will be: No one really knows, we don't have the crystal ball to predict which coins or project will be the next hype one. So it's better to really do your own research and investigation. Look for websites that list potential next projects, dig deeper if it fall on your criteria, then invest and see how it goes.

If not, then go on the next project, dissect everything. It might take sometime though, but the good thing is that we are in a bear market so some new projects might take sometime before they can grow.
1965  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: October 29, 2022, 08:05:03 AM
Even the top order will fail, but the chances for the same is very narrow. Investing over the top cryptocurrencies on the coinmarketcap will lower the risk, however we need to understand that risk is part of cryptocurrency investment. Just think of Luna Terra, it was not into the top 10, but it was among the leading cryptocurrency list. Finally unexpected crash took place. Market is really tough to predict.

Terra Luna crash because it's a failed market. I guess it really depends on how we look at it, could be good tactic for some, or it's just a fallacy that we are made to belief. Regardless, we may have to find only the best 5 coins and yet the result will be the same.

And it just shows that there are risk involved, huge risk that even the top 10 will have a good chance to fail or at least not give us the profits that what we are expecting. So again each one of us should look for strategies that fit us, our initial capital and risk.
1966  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: October 29, 2022, 07:33:28 AM
I'm a land based casino guy, and even if I discover the beauty of online games, I still prefer to go to my favorite land based casinos and play and see some of my friends that I have met years ago.

And with that said, if my chance I will travel again with or without my family, I will make it appoint to visit some of them. Just so because you wanted, just see the live entertainment and who knows, maybe you can see your old friends there and get acquainted again.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 29, 2022, 05:12:56 AM
Seems that this fight is already set, both make the weight so there will be no problem.

I like the positive attitude of Ortiz though, he said that he will shock the world so we will see that. He also said that he is going to shock the world and silence his critics. This is boxing and we all know that upset do happen. Loma was upset before by Teo but then again their is this argument that he is not that healthy entering the fight.

Point by Ortiz is that Loma is old at 34 and has been in so many hard fought wars while he is very fresh and young. So it's a battle of experience vs young and flash and wanted to show the world what he got.

1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: October 28, 2022, 08:25:14 AM
I was stunned upon reading the op and its betting market showing Anderson Silva is slim favorite over Jake Paul. Updated betting market I found at Moonbet is showing Jake Paul now takes the lead at 1.75 over Anderson Silva at 2.0.

So Anderson Silva is now the underdog just like what many of us here are imagining. Anderson Silva has nice boxing skills but at 47 years old, I am questioning his ability to last long. I mean, how is his stamina gonna survive? Many people are laughing on the career of Jake Paul but he is just young and developing. And in his training, he looks committed even if he fightin' non boxers.

I saw some bets right now in the listing of all bets in some gambling casino and yes most of the people right now are trying to bet for Jake Paul and I guess the underdog right now in term of bets is Silva but it is just a an initial bet before the match came there's a chance that the players might change their bet before the close bets happens.

Yes, that it correct, Anderson Silva is the underdog and that shouldn't be surprises us all. He is old already and way past his prime, but can still hold his own in this fight.

But if you are talking about sentimental favorites, then I would say that Silva will be our favorite because we wanted him to beat the arrogant Jake Paul. Although Jake is respectful in this fight and wouldn't hear anything negative from him regarding his opponents, still though majority of us didn't like his personality or how he started this whole exhibition match hype.
1970  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next big bull rally expected to begin in 2023 Q2 says Mark Yusko on: October 28, 2022, 08:10:09 AM
It's probably that this person has some narrative behind that's while he predicted that the price will have a big bull run in 2023.

But this so called "experts" are always wrong, and I appreciate some members here in this board who posted their prediction with graphs and charts and everything.

And we all know that in order for the market to trigger a massive bull run, we should have the most important activity in Bitcoin and that is the block halving which is schedule sometime in 2024. So this prediction is somewhat off.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 28, 2022, 07:44:06 AM
I'm assuming that Yoo is well-prepared accepting Manny's punches, I'm not sure if how it will be look like in terms of good entertainment, just wanted to quote it here that Manny aside from being a politics also enter movie industry, are we going to expect him to perform as a fighter or as actor that will provide entertainment here?

As fighter, oh well, not sure if Yoo can handle those solid combos of Manny, maybe 1-2 rounds if it's a real punch from Manny is enough for Yoo.

Let see if how these upcoming fights will be looking like, still aiming to see Manny to make some unexpected punches that will surprise Yoo..
I doubt he will be prepared for Pacquiao's punches if Pacquiao actually put power into his punches. I saw a video of him fighting Bradley Scott(former MMA champ) on his youtube channel and people are mocking him for editing the video so much just to make him not look so bad in the fight. judging from that I doubt he can handle Pacquiao if Pacquiao made an effort to actually fight him seriously even at his age.

I think even pro boxers at 147 lbs can't handle Pacquaio's power even if he is no longer fighting pro. Pacquiao is different, he was really gifted that's why he brought up his power when he moves up to different division.

So yeah, DK Yoo, won't handle it for sure and Manny knows that. So he might hold something so as not to hurt the Korean. And obviously this is for entertainment purposes so we don't want someone to get hurt along the way. DK Yoo though is very lucky that Manny chooses him to be his dancing partner in Pacquiao's first exhibition match.

Its' not that Manny has retired for many years now, it just been like 2 years or less from his last fight. So definitely there is still some power left in him.

I followed him on his one social media account and yes he is very much active. The good thing is that him and Jinky are sort of training together, LOL. So both of them are trying to be active, the fight is still in December but Manny might have started his training his light training with Jinky herself.
1972  Economy / Gambling / Re: STAKE SCAMMED $100K AND NOT REPLYING EMAILS FOR 6 MONTHS on: October 28, 2022, 02:02:07 AM
Any accusation without proof is just bullshit as we can mark from the writing of words that are concocted to bring down the reputation of Stake casino.
I am not trying to be the devil's advocate here but what about looking at this from the other side?
What about the allegations made by casinos when the ban a player's account and confiscate his money. Accusing him of match fixing or having multiple accounts.. without providing any evidences and their pretext is always that they don't won't to publish personal information or disclose how their anti-cheat systems work! Do you think it's acceptable?
Just to be clear, am asking in general and not about this particular case.

Or it is possible for the OP to go to arbitration? so that they can presented their evidence in front of someone that is not biased and knows a thing or to because they have experienced about it already?

Lately we have seen so many accusations and when casino presents their evidence the accuser still insists that they did nothing wrong. So the next course of action should be going to a middle man or arbitration to settle everything.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: October 28, 2022, 01:36:45 AM
Martingale also entails luck + huge capital to begin win.

For techniques, I usually go max bet or a least with a decent multiple when I start to play slots. I don't know, maybe I felt that in the beginning it's better to go like this and if you are lucky then you can win big right away.

Just last Saturday I went to a landbase casino and just play 2 games, slots and roulette and very lucky to win in the beginning because of the max bet that I did on a slot game.
1974  Economy / Speculation / Re: October price guess on: October 27, 2022, 06:06:30 AM
Looking like we have some positivity into the end of month which would be nice.  There are weekly and monthly bars to consider also, its good when we can accumulate and build a trend but just a spike up means nothing so we have to see how far this can go also:
Good to see the price increased a bit. But there's nothing special since the price often reached $20k then turning down again, it's moving sideways for months now so probably many of us used to it.

Anyway, 5 days are left before this month end, can the price climb up beyond $20k? No one knows exactly. We are still in the last quarter there's still a chance since unexpected things can happen that's why i'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, I was completely shock when I checked the price and it seems to go above $20,100, not sure what pushes the price in the end of the week, usually we will see a decline around this time because of bitcoin future contract expirations.

But it seems to me that someone has manipulated the price from behind?

Nevertheless, it's a good sign for this month, when we thought that we will not get over the $20,000 barrier, now in less than 24 hours, we have reach that price, taking about volatility.

Welcome back to 20k and no one is manipulating the price here as the gains are nothing too strong. As far as I know, this is related to the US PMI (Purchasing Managers Index) in October, PMI was at 49.9, lower than expected at 51. This is the first time PMI has fallen below 50 this year and this is the basis for the Fed to cut rates more in November.
I am also quite surprised that the market is starting to recover towards the end of October, hopefully things can last before we continue to get news on the Fed rates in early November.

Ok, thanks for that input, as I have said, I haven't check the news that could influence the price action that we are seeing right now. Others said it went to $21,000, but currently, I'm seeing $20,800 so close enough.

And so i do agree that hopefully, this recovery or at least the price going above $20,000 could be sustainable and it's organic and no price manipulation so that it can remain in this level and increase it still till the end of this year.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 27, 2022, 05:48:39 AM

Ring rust, everyone has to go to this. It's just a matter on how boxers are going to shake it off. And most likely, when Casimero's experience, he might likely start slow in this fight but eventually find his rhythm and this could end up to be a very good fight to watch as this could be war in his first fight at 122 lbs.

Nah, Casimero understands that a win here is his ticket for the next big fight, he was off for a while but he is still hungry for a win since he did not actually lose in a fight, he just got stripped with his belt which I believe he regretted his mistake. His comeback fight is something we should not miss to see if that fire in him is still there as he needed that to have a chance to face Inoue in the future.

Yes, I think the motivation and the hungry is still in the belly of Casimero. You are right that he didn't lose any fight or his belt, it's just he can't make the desired weight at 118 lbs.

So he will have be extra motivated in this new weight class, he will for sure look for the likes of Inoue if he decided to jump on this division or the current champion. Although there could be argument that he might be too small at 122 lbs but we will see if his power will be enough in this new division.

Ok for those who want to get the link, here it is,

https://www.mensjournal.com/entertainment/best-bitcoin-gambling-crypto-betting-sites/

The magazine put the pros and cons, but still though there could be some that they put that we can debate or not agree with the author.

Just be careful clicking the links though, there could be some affiliate by the author and maybe that's one reason he says that this is the best because he is planning to have money out of it thru referrals.
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: October 27, 2022, 03:44:10 AM
It's a great start for 2023 two have two of the tough fighters in the superwelterweight, Tim Tszyu deserves to have a crack at the title he has a good record and a good rating I remember him knocking out Jeff Horn, that was the first time I watched him fight his fighting style is similar to his father and he also has a good chin and hard puncher, but I have Jermell with a slight advantage against Tszyu, this is a very tough fight to predict.

Right, Tim Tszyu has been taking noise in this division for the last 2 years if I'm not mistaken and wanted to be like his father.

For those who are not familiar with his father, Kostya Tszyu, he is the one that give Zab Judah the infamous stanky legs, LOL. And probably if that happens on the social media days, the Internet would have exploded like when Maidana beat Broner.

1978  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: October 27, 2022, 03:26:11 AM
Its' too early to celebrate the end of bear market, LOL. The price is just above the mental barrier of $20,000, nothing more. It's doesn't mean that the market will change it's course. Definitely this is a good sign, but still it is way below our last all time high.

And for sure everyone knows that the catalyst for a bull run is the block halving which is still years from us (2024). Be careful though, this could be a trap.
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: October 26, 2022, 04:24:15 AM
It's a good time to clean house. It's almost as though the rules of the jungle are being followed here. Whoever is tough enough to stay standing is the winner.

Survival of the fittest isn't it?

Now, it's not just about the basics; it's also about how the developer teams will strategize their way through the winter. In response to your inquiry, this line of reasoning leads me to believe that there is, indeed, the potential for a further decline. At the moment, the majority of tokens and coins, including bitcoin, are moving in a somewhat stagnant manner, with little to no meaningful movement. People are currently waiting for the next movement to occur before they can forward with their plans.

I'm not really sure what you meant, I mean they should developed, the strategy part is with the CEO or any other management team behind the project. And I think that's one downfall of any project because everything was rolled into one for the developer, they become the programmer, the marketing arm and every, that's why the project failed in the beginner.

And as investors, we should prepare for the worst specially in this bear market.
