2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: October 19, 2022, 08:54:02 AM
I would say Ixinium, and to an extent bnb. I didn't exactly do a purchase of Ixinium, I participated in the bounty campaign and got quite a hefty amount because I was in the social media, Articles and Videos campaigns. The amount didn’t also run into millions of dollars, but it was my biggest crypto haul. This was back in 2020 when bounties were more profitable

Bounties and airdrops are profitable in the 2017 and early 2018. But if you are saying that you made a lot of money in that project then good for you.

I guess the early projects really made a lot of money, from Ethereum to Doge to BNB in 2018. This projects are solid in the beginning. But for me the project that brought me huge money, but not necessarily millionaire is ADA. I have been a long term investors of this project because I believed on Chris and he really delivered and up to know they are still very much active in developing the said project.
2002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC energy use jumps 41% in 12 months, increasing regulatory risks on: October 19, 2022, 08:18:55 AM
Yeah, seems to me that the article is full of FUD and biased towards bitcoin mining and it's energy consumption. 41% jump in 12 months? LOL, that's absurd and it seems that they just spin this numbers to fit their narrative. And for sure those anti bitcoin mining proponents will used this article to point out the negative things that bitcoin can bring. Anyway, we know that this is not true and there are even worst industries that contributed more in the energy consumption as compare to bitcoin.
2003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 19, 2022, 08:03:07 AM
I thought DK Yoo is younger than Pacquiao, but both of them are in same age lol.

I read on some articles if DK Yoo is a Youtuber and also a martial arts trainer, but he doesn't have any professional boxing record. I expect this is easy fight for Pacquiao even though his skills is already declining, but DK Yoo isn't purely a boxer.

This fight still not listed on the bookies yet, I would bet this match is the odds for Pacquiao is worth to bet.

Yes, the Korean is somewhat a Youtube sensation because of his market arts, but it doesn't matter as they will be squaring in a boxing ring.

Pacquiao still got it though, he is just like a year from retirement, and he is very much active so I think he is still in great shape in this exhibition match. I also won't bet on this one, but others might and I don't blame them in making some money here.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 18, 2022, 11:51:08 PM
Of course, there are players who are really not going to make it back to their former
glory with the new talent making their mark on the tour.

Next year it will be even more difficult for them as the younger players will have
become stronger and developed their games more.

Although we have seen Djokovic meaning a comeback and back to be number 1 after getting injured. I remember that he had a open letter or something after winning a grand slam or a tournament. And it took him sometime to recover and bounce back to his form. But probably his injury might not be as severe as Murray and so Djokovic is a "exception to the rule".

@Rabi3 - I do agree, some players you mentioned bring nostalgia to me, specially Wawrinka you really gave the big 3 a run during his prime years.
More young players line-up. Even at their 20's they're making big progress. This makes the senior players work more to give competence. It is the experience that helps them stay high, whereas with the young players the stamina and the injury free scenario keeps them moving high defeating popular players. Djokovic was able to make a recovery, but he can't continue with this for a long as the competence level is quite high compared to the past days of tennis.

I still think that Djokovic an still maintain his level against their young players, although he has lost his rankings to Alcaraz, but I still believed that Djokovic will have the advantage over other players, not just his superior skills but his approach and mentality towards the game.

I'm seeing Djokovic still winning at least 2 Grand Slams before his game really deteriorates like Federer and Nadal. But that will be his goal to become the winningest tennis player so he will look for it before retiring.
2005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double Unification Fights: Shields vs Marshall / Mayer vs Baumgardner on: October 18, 2022, 11:35:03 PM
For Shields vs Marshall, there is a rematch clause as per Shields if I'm not mistaken, but it could only be activated if there is a controversial decision or split decision, but the decision of the judges is majority, so there is no rematch for this two ladies.

For Mayer vs Baumgardner, it's different though, not sure if there is a rematch clause, but it's controversial as one judges score it for Mayer. But it seems that Baumgardner doesn't want to give Mayer the rematch as she will chase Choi, which for me will not make her money like in a rematch with Mayer.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 17, 2022, 01:16:29 AM
Would you be influenced by your favourite Celebrity who you know gambles and one day happens to post the games he played, would you be influenced to play the same game?

It's my money anyway so I don't think that someone can influence me on where I'm going to put my bet regardless if the celebrity is as big as Drake him, which we might call a way although we now that him and Stake has a deal.

And I think even a beginner in gambling knows that, we should make our own decision in gambling.

It's that the amount of bet is too good to be true for the majority of us that it might have a effect on us. Nevertheless we know that Drake has a lot of money to burn because he can afford it.
2007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 17, 2022, 12:57:12 AM
Even 168 seems to be few for Dmitry. He is a big guy by nature. I just cant imagine him being 168. Dmitry seems to be +85kg in off season and 79.4 (or 175lbs) on the scales. Dropping almost 10kg just to have a rematch? It is Canelo, who needs to gain weight and fight in 175, to rebuild reputation. Canelo needs to beat Dmitry "on Dmitry's field", to gain confidence and respect back. What is the point for Dmitry to cut, when it was Canelo who wanted to test himself in light heavyweight.
Yes, I think if there will be a rematch between Dmitry and Saul Alvarez it will be 175 lbs. Alvarez can definitely made 175 lbs easy, but Bivol will have problems making that weight.

And if I'm not mistaken, the first fight is 175 lbs so not sure why they need to change in the rematch unless Alvarez wants to take advantage of making Bivol life very difficult because he will have to squeeze his body to super middleweight.

And Canelo might be left hanging if he will suddenly decide to contest the fight at 168 lbs. because Bivol won't surely agree with that as in the first place, Canelo lost in 175 so it's expected to contest the rematch at the same weight. I'm not sure what is in their contract but I think Bivol has a right to deny a rematch if Canelo will active the rematch in super-middle.

I agree and I reckon that Canelo doesn't have the power to call the shots this time, he'll be lucky if Bivol will make some time for him because I think an undisputed fight in the light-heavyweight division will be the next thing to happen, but if Bivol will got defeated here, it will be Ramirez who will have the opportunity to fight Bob Arum's monster cow while Canelo won't have the appetite to fight Bivol because there's no title in the line anymore.

Canelo though is still the cash cow and for me, can still call the shots if he wants. But maybe he has respect to Bivol after he was defeated. And so it is still a good chance that Canelo will seek revenge to the persona against Bivol win or lose.

But Bivol has only a good option to fight Beterviev if the Canelo fight won't happen after his Ramirez win. And yes, this should be 175 lbs no doubt.

Canelo can still call the shots regardless of the result of this fight but he cannot demand because he is not in the A-side anymore, now he's the one chasing while Bivol is looking at him as a finished chapter. So, we will probably see it soon if these guys wants to have second dance. Before that, we should witness this explosive fight first.

I disagree though, Canelo will always be the A-side in his fight as what has been said he is the pound for pound and the cash cow. Yes, Bivol has the choice to walk out and not fight him, but in terms of money even if he fought Beterviev for unification, he will not get more money than fighting Canelo.

And his team knows this, maybe they will have some leverage in the second fight but it has been sealed already that there will be a rematch that Canelo can exercise and Bivol can't refused. And mostly the split has been included as well and for sure Canelo will still get the lion share of the split no matter what.
2008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can i post satoshi posts in other forums here? on: October 17, 2022, 12:27:39 AM
Many have come forward and claim to be Satoshi, and they all have been proven to be fake or just riding on the popularity of that name. And with that, i doubt that suddenly we will find another one that is true to be Satoshi.

Again, there are a lot of conspiracies in the past but nothing has been proven yet.

So we should rest our case chasing Satoshi. Or for those who might claim to be one in the future, just look at the facts and then ignore them, simple as that.
2009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may drop to $15k or so but it'll definitely hit $300k+ in coming years on: October 16, 2022, 09:07:58 PM
That's just my thoughts. Maybe by 2024, unless all hell breaks loose.

As long as internet keeps chugging along though, BTC will prevail. Smiley

I love the idea of seeing the price going down to $15,000, at least gonna be another opportunity to stack up before everything blows up in 2024-2025.

However, I'm a bit skeptical of the $300,000 prediction mate. My prediction is around $150,000-$180,000 at least in the next bull run. But then again, when people thought that $20,000 is not achievable back in 2017 then suddenly we almost hit it, means that we can't really see what the future will hold for us here.
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit coins era is going to end on: October 16, 2022, 08:48:56 PM
Well to be honest to be honest, I don’t believe that the Shitcoin era is going to go away since people are always trying to find the next get-rich-quick coin. Now even more than ever newer "shit coins" are being created every day.

People who don’t know much about the crypto space will probably buy those types of coins thinking they will be able to make a short-term and fast profit.
Yes, it's psychology. And it mainly benefits the big players in the market, such as exchanges or funds, who manipulate shitcoins as they see fit. You could say they are making money out of thin air on naive people. As long as such a scheme works, then shitcoins will not disappear. Time after time, the altcoin story repeats the same scenario.

Yes, there are still people who are going to fall for this trick, think that shitcoins is the go to make money and become millionaires quick in this market, but it is a wrong mindset and for sure it's going to bite them in their ass.

And so this is cycle is going to continue, developers created a meme coin, and then market it to be the next big thing. And then noob investors believed the hype throw their money. And as we have seen, or what history tells us, this shitcoin dies and then another one pops up immediately.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 16, 2022, 08:32:24 PM
Andy Murray lost today in Gijon against Korda 2-1 , Murray was the underdog so it was not shocking that he lost, the American is one of my personal favorite young players, i saw him play a couple of matches before, he is pretty good, he didn't quite blow up but he's still young, i'm pretty sure he can win a big title in the future.
After short break this is the highest reach of Andy Murray reaching Quarter Final. In his previous tournaments he used to end with group stages or by the third round. As age pass, his performance keeps moving downwards. More young players are ready to dominate the tennis world. One amongst them is Korda.
Yeah, I think this is the highest that Andy Murray has reach in a tournament thus far, so it's not that bad however still very tough tournament for him as he lost to a young Korda.
So Korda will be facing Rublev now. I will go with Rublev in this one. I thight Rublev has some confidence but probably this will be extended into 3 sets, I reckon.
Andy Murray is finished and that happened a long time ago. Now he just plays tournaments and if he gets to the quarter finals its a big achievement for him. He goes on the tournament just because those tournaments invite him because he is a large name, but he aint a threat to anyone.
Yes, although he made a comeback and get his fans excited, I doubt think that he can bring back the clock. He might be satisfied on entering tournament and see how far he can go or even winning (and losing) against young guys.
I guess though the competitive spirit is still inside of him. Nevertheless, might be in a couple of years he might go and retire.

Andy Murray OBE is quite old at this point. It is doubtful that there is a lot of expectation from him after this win, regardless of the fact that he has reached the highest position in this tournament so far in his career.

I would have to say that it was an exceptionally remarkable performance from him at this age (35 years old). It is one of the things that I like about him that he is competitive. It's unclear whether he possesses the physical attributes needed to maintain his competitive nature. In any case, it won't be for very long.

Furthermore, I also think that there is a good chance that he will play one or two more years. However, I am not expecting him to do anything spectacular during that time.

Andy Murray is a tennis legend, one of the greatest tennis players in history, but unfortunately two factors in his career prevented him from becoming an even bigger and better tennis player.
The first fact is that he played in the era of the three greatest tennis players in history, and the second fact is his numerous injuries that ruined his tennis career.
If it weren't for that, his tennis career would have been even bigger.
It's obvious how much he loves playing tennis and that it is difficult for him to end his tennis career, but it is obvious that it will happen soon.

But still though, he hold his piece against the era of big 3 and we can even insert his name there that's why there is big 4. But the injury though,  he had numerous injuries, but the last one really ruined it for him and we can call it career ending injuries.

And he tried to make a comeback in his career, play good matches but we know that he won't win any trophy at this point and just a matter of time before he quit.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 16, 2022, 12:17:19 PM
Helenius has a bad game plan against Wilder. He pushes him and try to be the aggressor. But he forget to put his hand to protect his chin.

Yeah, I think Helenius thought that Wilder doesn't have the mentality to stay in the fight. So he take it to him, and then got caught. And probably the weight difference, maybe copying Fury's blue print of imposing his full weight on him to get Wilder tired but it all back fired.

We all know that the Bronze Bomber still had that power despite him losing the twice to Fury. And with that win, his confidence is back. Usyk could be in the radar for him next. Gonna be a good fight as well but I guess Usyk technical skills will be too much for Wilder, just saying.

If I'm not mistaken, it was Usyk who says that he wants Wilder next. So let's see how it will go next year. Wilder win by knockout might scare Usyk.
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 16, 2022, 11:55:56 AM
I already posted before the fight that it will be the same result but this time its a much better win for Haney he is the one who learned and improved on this rematch, the jabs, the moves, and the ring generalship is just awesome to watch, I know that Haney is a good boxer already but after I saw this fight there's still an improvement on how he box, he is the money an all the titles are on his waist, now he will be one of the most sought boxers, he is the undisputed champion and he did great winning all those belts.

Yes, as what we have been saying, it will be a repeat performance by Haney. But this time, he didn't play it safe as most of his critics are saying about him. Instead he dished out more jabs, and right hands on Kambosos face that at the end of the fight, George is really bleeding and bludgeon by Haney. So there is no doubt that that man in this division is Haney and not the overhype Ryan Garcia or Tank Davis. Time for Loma to do this part, so that next year it will be one of the biggest fight in the 135 lbs when Haney vs Loma face each other.

Haney showed some aggressiveness, however, it seemed like he has no power to KO Kambosos. If he will go up against Loma, I think that would be a very exciting fight, and personally, I think I like Loma's chance of beating him, either by judges scorecards or through KO/TKO.

That's one weakness of Haney, he is feather fisted fighter but he make it up with his superior jabs and ring IQ. And I will commend Kambosos, in the first 2 rounds he was really very aggressive and hitting Haney. But it seems the gets tired and then Haney taking over the full fight.

And it will be quite interesting fight next for Haney, because it will be against the best tactical boxer in the division. Currently, I can't see which is going to win though. So congrats to Haney and then we will for Loma's comeback back and hopefully there will be no problems with Ortiz.
2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 15, 2022, 03:45:50 PM

Pacquiao wants Spence vs. Crawford winner

Manny Pacquiao was asked if he’d be interested in fighting the Errol Spence Jr vs. Terence Crawford winner and his response was "why not if that's possible?".

To make that happen though, he needs to come out from retirement. Smiley

I like Pacman, I respect what he has done in the sport of boxing, however, I did not know that he is presently a comedian. If he won versus Ugas to hold the WBA welterweight championship, I will think maybe there is an argument for Pacman. However, Ugas was gave a very convincing performance and has shown Pacman's old age.

I honestly have not read the article yet. This might be another sarcastic statement from Pacman and the sports news media are turning it into clickbait hehe.

I also didn't click on the link, but I do agree that Pacquaio should retire for good. We have seen him against Ugas and it doesn't look good for him and it's better that after that fight, he doesn't to hang up his gloves.

And if he wanted to make a comeback against the winner of the highly caliber fighter in Spence or Crawford? We might see him getting knockout here. And what is the sense of coming back? Money? fame? legacy? Manny have everything already.
2015  Economy / Gambling / Re: How is the performance of gambling tokens compare to other altcoins and btc on: October 15, 2022, 03:28:01 PM
Most casino tokens are just chest coins in the marke6, and their price is not meeting up to market standard and their trading volume dropping rapidly, but we still have a few who is increasingly growing in the market with multiple exchanges.

It’s normal because casino token is being used for reward by the casino to the players so expect that there’s no much trading volume on it sometimes because no one is buying it regularly since it can be earned by just simply betting in the casino. Typically this kind of tokens will have a demand when they new exchange listing or the casino offers a mining pool for token holder that give a good profit return in the long run.

Or it will be just a niche for gamblers, so it's going to be very difficult to attract lets say average joe investors because it might not be for them, just saying.

Of course, it will have some advantage for us gamblers, but then again, I will say that majority will still prefer the old way of playing with Bitcoin and rest of the altcoins that are cheap but fast in transaction and not used the native token of that gambling platform.
2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double Unification Fights: Shields vs Marshall / Mayer vs Baumgardner on: October 15, 2022, 03:09:54 PM
Been waiting to see Mayer and Baumgardner, two good female boxers, but we have had to wait a while longer, not anymore Cheesy. I hope the fight today will be worth the wait. I think Mayer will be the winner, she must realize that she needs this fight to achieve the goal of becoming the first undisputed champion from her division, and will go all out to try to ensure that Baumgardner who is a very good boxer as well can deny her from her goal and can cause a problem knowing that she is up to the task with the confidence coming from knocking out Terri Harper Last year.

I think the hype for Baumgardner vs Mayer is real now. Yeah, they are both real good female boxers, but at the end of the day, there is only one who is going to win.

And it seems that Baumgardner is very confident, although sometimes in his interview, it looks like she is still looking to achieved something even greater or maybe she feels underachieved because of being the underdog in a fight.
2017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What efforts have you made to raise bitcoin awareness in your community? on: October 14, 2022, 07:22:03 PM
No efforts have been made on my part because I believed that Bitcoin will have it's own way to spread awareness. Not necessarily for us enthusiast to have that kind of job to tell everyone about what Bitcoin is.

I appreciate though those individuals from this community who are doing their part and that is really good to know. But not everyone is interested on Bitcoin to be honest, so let them miss the boat or be late when the price goes up in the next 3-4 halvings, or when almost all Bitcoin have been mined.
2018  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: October 13, 2022, 12:06:44 PM
I think I made a mistake buying at $23,500 (obviously), so when should I really start to panic now that we dropped to $18K?
Market conditions have improved several times since the price dropped $18K. The increase is not very high, only a price change of $2k, or with a price increase of $20k, then you can already make a profit. But if you just leave Bitcoin in your wallet, of course to get back $23k, it will have to wait a long time. Because the current market conditions are bearish.

The price has dropped to $18,000 levels already, then bounce back above $20,000 and now we are in $19,000. So it's not that huge decreased if the OP bought at $23,000, just a few thousands dollars and if the price goes sideways then just hold on and don't sell.

Again, it might be take several years to recover, but once the market enter the bull run, you won't regret your decision to hold or even buy at the current price.
2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Back To Promoting Doge as a Payment Method for New Cologne on: October 13, 2022, 11:26:41 AM
He is not a crypto influencer for nothing. We have seen him jumping on board with BTC in 2020-2021 and it really push the price to new height and it really skyrocketed.

But it seems that he is only for Doge, and if I remember it correctly, he used to accept bitcoin as payment for his project Tesla model cars but have a change of heart and then shift to Doge. So not surprised that he is promoting Doge again for his new cologne.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 13, 2022, 11:08:36 AM
And for those who have been wanting a Davis vs Garcia fight, it seems the two have been teasing around their fans with cryptic message in their social media account.

But according to Garcia's manager, Oscar Dela Hoya

Quote
"It's being worked on. That's it. It's a big fight. It's a huge fight. Fights like this take forever," De La Hoya told BoxingScene.com and other reporters. "Do I feel it's going to get made? Yes - and I'm excited. But this is a huge fight with a lot of details."

https://www.boxingscene.com/de-la-hoya-on-ryan-garcia-vs-gervonta-davis-fights-like-this-take-forever--169652

So let's see how farther this negotiations and back and forth talks and hopefully we can see this fight one day.

I wouldn't discount the fact that this fight can be made, regardless what will be the weight will be, 140 or 145 lbs. But so far it is all Oscar who is going to the public and tell what his feeling is, as compare to Floyd which chooses to be quiet. So we don't really know what the real score from behind.

And I'm hinting that this could be another like Crawford vs Spence, to much noise. But when it comes to fighting, it's not even close of making the fight.
