Yikes Slam, sounds like you're also getting the "get ruined by the club you support" disease heh.

That said, I have been getting a few steady MLs on Barca when odds are 2/1 and up, maybe stick to that kind of value bet? Or try correct scores of 1:0 and 2:0 heh heh.

What do you guys think of this Sevilla coach? The most direct ever, what they need now. But someone they will have to replace, surely, next season? Odds on them today are incredible too...
2022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK Charity Commission - Accept the crypto donations but keep clean records! on: April 27, 2023, 01:14:02 PM
UK's not going to become a crypto hub, I don't think. I'd be surprised if they did, as the FCA is shutting down exchanges left and right.

It's more of a crypto hub than a lot of other capitals, though -- where else would you have seen Shiba Inu posters and ads legally plastered all over public transport? If that doesn't say crypto hub, not sure what does. That FCA is looking to crack down on misleading ads is because of the investment risk to the public, I actually think that's a good thing.

FCA is shutting down exchanges who aren't compliant -- that's their job. Exchanges who are compliant (Coinbase comes to mind) started out fairly recently and are operating great. UK is just one of the few countries outside US you can get a crypto credit card from a principal member (again, Coinbase). If that doesn't say crypto hub, not sure what does.

Crypto hubs shouldn't mean lawless hub...

Ah well, 5 titles in 6 seasons it will be then for Citeh. Didn't watch that game, didn't want to jinx it, was just getting out of a nervy Liverpool win and seeing Brighton actually lose -- did their semifinal loss knock all the wind out of them? Who would have thought...

And Chelsea, wow. A whole 3 points to me in the pool for picking good old Lamps to lead his team to uncharted territory haha.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: April 26, 2023, 02:36:31 PM
This year Champions League has been really good as we finally have an Italian team finalist despite me thinking whichever of them,Inter or Milan stand no chance to win against Real or Manchester City and as such I exclude them from the possibility of winning the Champions.

It would have been a grand old tale if Liverpool met Milan in the final but while many including myself thought we had a fighting chance, no one saw Milan coming. Still, I'm hoping it's Real who progresses rather than City. Can't say I've got a true favourite among the Italians, still a bit upset that we won't see Napoli's fantastic team take the stage at Ataturk.

I can't stand Real adding to their tally... but I prefer that to happen than City getting their first =p

Inter/Milan somehow claiming it would be pretty damned amazing though. Worth some money on that final.

Eh, I knew I forgot to put in MajSev picks when I found out a new week had started yesterday. Don't think it'd have mattered though, as I'd not have picked Vardy, Mings or even Neves or any of last night's scorers. Feels like we had a free purge of hard-to-predict scorers after all.

That leaves 6 rounds left for someone to take it all this season.

I'm not really into boxing anymore but I do like watching the big events.  Looking forward to watching Davis vs Garcia in a couple of weeks.  I'm def getting the PPV for that one and will be drop a little action on the match.  I think it's gonna go all 12 rounds with Davis edging it out.

And I do long shot degen parlays with my free bets too but I've never gotten any luck with them.  I usually do 5 - 10 legs across the UFC and the EPL but there's always a pie shtter spoiling everything.  =]

Yeah FJ does seem to have the very best odds on boxing, which is why it's getting love there. Not an expert at all but don't need to be if choosing favourites. It's UFC that scares me!

Besides the time of the qualifying session to start is indicated like this on the website:
Is it really Saturday for qualifying? It's a little bit confusing because as far as I know, F1 is planning changes where a sprint race weekend will look different now:

I received an email just now about F1 qualifying from Superbru, and it's definitely Friday. Yes, I came to the forum immediately to say it, how nice am I? Or how worryingly misprioritised with my Wednesday heh heh.

No idea how things will change, read the email but not much registered on my morning brain, so I'm going to do a wee bit of research later tomorrow to see if I can make good on my current Superbru standing.

Noticed I got 3 poles right, but not a single Fastest Lap so far. This needs to change.
2027  Economy / Reputation / Re: Discussion on buying/selling accounts/users actively seeking possible bought acc on: April 25, 2023, 06:43:05 PM
I rarely comment on this issue, and I appreciate that yahoo makes the consideration for people for whom $50 a week is simply much more money than they could make working really hard. I come from such a country (well, not national wage but the specific place I come from anyway, I know until this day people earning less than $50 a month), so I know I can speak with some voice, even if I no longer am in that situation, and haven't been since the 1990s.

That all said, the sole purpose of getting an account to earn is not wrong, even commendable. I'd do it in that situation. Buying and trading accounts, on their own, I don't disagree with. But I would push for an additional setting that declares change of ownership. Maybe I would like my kid to own and continue this account in good faith, perhaps to continue some long-running thread, if he is willing. But if that happens, I'd like that to be known.

We must also consider that some campaign requirements include some degree of age, merit or trust.  To buy an account to meet requirements you otherwise wouldn't, is some form of deception.

A newbie has some obstacles, true:

a. Not everyone speaks good English so they must find campaigns that pay for local boards.
b. It can be difficult to earn merit at first, particularly when they have no new contribution, or lack the language for it.

Perhaps campaigns must also look beyond the (sometimes meaningless) trust, legendary status, etc. And also consider (new) members who are earnest about contributing to the campaign and forum. I am fully for a "case by case" policy.

That said, I try to report posts and it's pretty clear that the majority of posters looking to earn aren't even really interested in contributing to the forum. A person earnestly interested to earn, is also interested to earn more, and knows they can do this by improving their reputation, quality, and status.

But these accounts clearly are only interested in farming, likely because they are owned by the same groups of people -- I worked in content moderation back in 2016/17 and it is there, with basic blockchain analysis, that you see just how rotten these networks are. A few farmers spamming boards with hundreds of accounts in altcoin boards.

I've also reported names of accounts that pop up in Bitcoin and Gambling -- I understand some Indonesian/Malay, and you can immediately see the connections in the style of names, the things they say, the campaigns they sign up in, the topics they trawl. I don't have the desire to dig but I suspect many have traded hands.

What the hell, Real? Haha. I had a pretty good ticket going, some of the toughest legs done and dusted, thought Real was almost a sure thing, and then the lineup showed up and I feared the worst.

2 nil down, then they got one back, odds were actually 5/1 even going down then so even the bookies have faith, but serves me right if they don't win. Ha.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | FPL Football Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 25, 2023, 05:17:32 PM
My concern now is that Jesus might lose his spot on the team, and Halaand is someone you don't want out of your team.

Advice please

My bad advice: If you're ahead, keep Haaland, lose Jesus. Arsenal might win this, but they are probably going to allow goals, and doubt seeing Jesus converting.

My worse advice: If you're chasing, then you need to gamble. Arsenal want this win, and Pep might take his experimentation a bit too far. Out all City, max out Arsenal for a whooping.

Oh sick, we have a new round of games tonight already didn't even realise it until I looked at some livescores hoping to pick future dates. Villa is back on my ticket these days and I hope they continue some good run of games, but I guess it's really Leicester and Leeds we should be watching for some nail-biting desperado action, huh.

Be a brave soul that picks either to win.

Saw a lovely freebet in my account today, thanks for crediting that so quickly =D Went right onto Southampton again for their game vs Newcastle (10/1).

^ Edit: Sorry, jumped the gun. That was for a La Liga pool yellow cap. Well done, me!

We'll need every bit of help we can get to qualify for Champions League, I know deep down we don't deserve it and should just spend a season in the wilderness for our sins, but hey, if you told me today we'd secure it on last day of season after slip-ups from Newcastle/United, I'll take it all with a big smile.

Good luck to the cup players. Slissy is the City in there gunning for the double!
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 22/23 - discussion thread on: April 24, 2023, 02:59:44 PM
Wow. I know some of you said it wasn't a surprise but I have to admit I didn't see this coming. Ajax in third place and maybe, just maybe even forced to consider having to fight off in the playoff for a spot in Conference League!
Didn't expected such result, but 3:0 reflects game quite well. And it summarize Ajax season pretty well. Awful performance in Champions and Europa league, they won't win Eredivisie and now likely will not qualify to Champions league next season. They still can win Cup, but obviously it wasn't main their goal of the season.
This game was interrupted for some time after PSV fans started throwing things like beer glasses at Ajax players. It's not first time when such things happened in Eredivisie this season and Ajax is again victim of such behaviour. I can't understand why fans are doing such things when their team leads 2:0...

At this point, yeah, the cup won't save them from the ire of their fans. Losing it would probably just tip over into all out rebellion right now.

Everyone hates Ajax in NL I think, except, for some reason, the people I know in the big cities haha. But yes, no one needs fans who risk the club getting fined etc.

Hate to say it, but that club needed a deep reboot anyway.
2035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will never own a whole Bitcoin and that's okay on: April 24, 2023, 02:10:53 PM
That's more than okay, OP. The idea for most of us regular folks is to just stack as many sats as you can, for as long as you can.

I did get over 1 BTC some years back but was forced to liquidate. And while I've certainly earned many, many coins, it is my income so I have to sell the bulk of what I earn. It's what I can save every now and then that eventually is moved to a cold wallet.

There will be plenty of dips, and crashes, to come. DCA ensures you are positioned to take advantage. You never know...

I'm with LFC_Bitcoin. We don't deserve Champions League, so if we somehow steal it, it better not be from Newcastle... Spurs was a deeper humiliation than United's 7-0 I think.

Crazy scores this weekend. Barely got any points at all and zero from yesterday. I've more chance of winning the wooden spoon than the yellow cap this season haha. I'm pretty much bottom of the table if you take away the people who have just stopped playing for whatever reasons.

Hear, hear. I was actually 4th from bottom at one stage, and that's bottom in reality with at least 3 players no longer putting in picks. I'm hanging on to a spot in La Liga, but it's a big mess everywhere else. Makes you question how much you really know about football, huh?

Hey! Nice I won the little side special (I know, results not final, but feels good nevertheless) because those kits!!

@arallmuus looks like you got the better of me, even if Brighton wins we have the same picks for Barca, so you win this already now that both DOTA favourites are in the finals. Don't think I'll need to worry about relegation as a point should be enough to secure myself, but I really needed this win, well done you!

@slaman you need 2 more wins and that may not be enough, ready to do a Watford/Norwich?

Terrible season for me all around the pools and BSFL, I really need to reconsider the way I do things, huh!

@Woodie: bet on Casemiro sending off heh heh

Alkmaar continues to upstage my expectations, can they pip Ajax to a guaranteed spot next season (that's even if they don't buy their own ticket by winning Conference)?

However,I observed you repeatedly returning to Darwin, even when he was nasty and painful to watch.

That's actually not true for me (I say this I realise with complete bias). I loved watching him play, the chaos he caused, the runs he makes, I honestly think he's just been unlucky. Since he got injured and doesn't make full appearances, his quality does seem to have dropped a level though.

Moved him out for Jota, Salah back in. Seems to have worked, probably going to keep them in now for the remainder of the season and just restrategise next one.

Man, how did this news escape me? Juventus won appeal? So we're teaching everyone again, hey it's okay. Use money and break the rules, and if you get caught, use money to overturn shit.

Shame on them, really, if this stays the same.

Anyone else spamming Inter to lose? Empoli was only 58/10 but I still took it. They already have more chances on target vs nil chances from the away team.
