2042  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin & litecoin lending site on: January 31, 2014, 03:34:58 PM
It's a obvious scam and I hope no one fell for it, op are you advertising this or asking if it's a scam or not?

The person should be able to tell its really obvious, either that this thread is a self promotion for traffic to that site.

Agree.

Sound terribly like a scam. he could run it for a few months, building up a nice pyramid and then run off with your coins. Been done before.

And, we will see such scam again and again in the future Tongue

It could be a good investment, but as a general rule, don't put all your money into one investment. Smiley

Or you can try localbitcoins if you don't want to do ID verification.

Bitcoin is still in its infancy and the rise of potential bitcoin competitors wholly owned and operated by major corporations is coming.

I have no interests in such centralized thing at all lol.
2047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help with litecoin mining on: January 31, 2014, 03:16:54 PM
should i just invest in a ati graphics card and i might have less problems?

The hashrate is much better with ATI/AMD card.
If you really want to do mining, you could try that; or you could direct buy some btc/ltc for investment.

Asked about government financial infrastructures around the world and how Bitcoin will fit in with these systems or redefine them, Carfi said, "Certain countries, such as Thailand and Iceland, historically have been hostile toward Bitcoin. BitLegal is tracking Bitcoin's status in many countries around the globe."

Iceland? What happened in Iceland?

Just another pyramid.

One day, it will fail to pay and the owner will run away with the money.
When? only the owner knows. Smiley

2054  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain.info can't spend due to unconfirmed transaction on: January 31, 2014, 02:50:58 PM
I am testing out some scenarios with micro payments, for instance sending 0 fee micro-transactions. I sent one for $0.01 and one for $1.00 both with 0 fees. Now, I can no longer send from that wallet address, even though I have .14 BTC in the wallet. I get a message:

"This transaction cannot be sent because there are insufficent funds available. This may be due to additional miners fees or unconfirmed transactions.

The transaction can either be cancelled. Or the amount to send can be adjusted to match the maximum amount available to send."

So, my 2 unconfirmed transactions are stuck in there, which are causing this.

How do I recover from this?

Thanks!

It is likely that your tx will never be confirmed.
If you stop re-broadcasting the tx, it will be dropped by all the nodes after a day or so, and you will return back to your original situation before creating the those two tx.

2056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: January 31, 2014, 02:40:21 PM
Just as Cryddit and hilariousandco mentioned, the gox price is pretty irrelevant, unless the USD withdrawal problem there has been solved.
2057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what some help from experinced members of this group on: January 31, 2014, 02:37:48 PM
sry guys i mean forum! rules of using safely ....!

Never trust a random guy online.
Always use escrow if possible.
Be extra careful for "too good to be true" deals and newly registered accounts.
2058  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New investor here. Need some advice on: January 31, 2014, 02:35:42 PM
New invester? Don't buy any alt coins and you won't risk losing anything and hold onto Bitcoin.
Agree, alts are more volatile, so the investment is more risky. Either try mining alts or invest in bitcoin.

Agree.

Thank you for your referral link? lol  Cheesy
