1142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I`s Freebitcoinz.com paying out? [YES,YES and YES :D ] on: February 09, 2014, 09:36:22 PM
Google suspended our adsense account for "invalid click activity" due to the excessive amount of paid traffic. With the suspension of our adsense account we are out approximately $1,200 of which would otherwise have covered buying bitcoins and paying you guys (which we still plan on doing).

What is the plan now?  Huh

1144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Loan 0.003 Btc on: February 09, 2014, 09:33:30 PM
Always be careful of someone with a newbie account . Ask for collateral or atleast some trust ratings from somewhere else like eBay or wot

I guess you should always be careful...even hero members can be scammers....

1145  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Legit bitcoin faucets sites on: February 09, 2014, 09:24:49 PM
With the amount received from faucets being so small, what is there to do with the amount you receive?

Coinbox pays you out at .00005500.  Lets say you reach that amount everyday for a year...it's only 0.020075 BTCs (or $16.06).  Just curious if there is anything realistic the small amount can be used for.  Thanks!

The thought is that the amount will be worth more later on.

For example, when BTC was a lot cheaper, there were faucets that gave entire Bitcoins. Who would have known they'd be worth what they are now?

Same thing goes here. That $16.06 could very well be $16,060 someday.

If you expect bitcoin price to be 1000x someday, you should buy 1 or 50 btc (depends on your budget) now instead of getting just 0.02BTC a year.

1148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Klodike K16 up to 7GH? on: February 09, 2014, 09:13:49 PM

Maybe you can try to use --klondike-options 360:65 and hopefully you will get ~5.7GH/s.

with clock speed at 342  i get between 6 and 7 Gh/s,  more towards the low 6  but it will spike over 7 depending on the pool im using.

Good to hear that.
It seems your K16 is working much better than the one I found in that thread lol.  Smiley
1149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin-Qt St13runtime_error during exit (can't open database file wallet.dat) on: February 09, 2014, 09:11:05 PM
I have never got this problem, so I have no idea why it happens and how to fix it.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Running_Bitcoin
Code:
-salvagewallet Attempt to recover private keys from a corrupt wallet.dat

If you are using Linux, run "./bitcoin-qt -salvagewallet".
If you are using Windows, make a shortcut for your bitcoin.exe and append "-salvagewallet" to the target, and then open the program using that shortcut.

If you have any bitcoin in your wallet, do NOT delete your wallet.dat, or you will lose your bitcoin. If you have no bitcoin yet, feel free to delete the wallet.dat file.

1150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why so complicated to buy Bitcoins from Canada on: February 09, 2014, 08:53:01 PM
Yes; it works using CaVirtex as the underlying exchange. The only downside though, is that it works using Interact Online and at the moment, there are only 4 canadian institutions participating. Source: http://www.interac.ca/index.php/en/interac-online/interac-online-for-consumers#participating_fis

Therefore, this option might not be available to you, depending what financial institution(s) you are dealing with.

But if it is, this is really the best, most simple way to purchase bitcoins online.  Smiley

Argamas, how did you find this old thread? lol  Grin
1151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Martingale betting system over freebitco.in trough javascript (iMacros) on: February 09, 2014, 08:40:48 PM
Expected return using martingale is 0. Try using Kelly criterion, the formula used to beat blackjack, and the stock market.

With the presence of house edge, it is indeed a supermartingale...

1152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: cgminer not see my r9 280x on: February 09, 2014, 08:36:02 PM
cgminer version is 3.7.2
and i installed 2 extra fan and put more of each with this msi afterburner software like frequency and power and get 640mhash/s and 79 degrees

hm..it seems you are mining bitcoin..
Just a friendly reminder, you could get way better result if you mine scrypt coins and sell them for bitcoin...
1153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easiest place to sell in the UK? on: February 09, 2014, 08:29:46 PM
Localbitcoins. If you're gonna use Paypal to sell, make sure the other person sends the payment as a gift so that it's not reversible.

Indeed, even if the payment is sent as gift, the buyer is still able to chargeback....
He just need to claim the account was hacked, and the item is digital.....
Damn.....is this true? I thought the "gift" thing was pretty watertight.
This is true, it's why it's so difficult to find sellers willing to accept PayPal.

Yup, UltraPleb is right.
And indeed I have read several complaint posts here to confirm that as well.
1154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how are you promoted from newbie to jr? on: February 09, 2014, 08:15:13 PM
You sure? Activity is based on two week time periods.

Also what is the way to get member status ?

You can find the answers in the sticky thread in Meta.

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.

1155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago..." on: February 09, 2014, 08:11:07 PM
It's annoying but a good way to stop spammers, hoping it'll reduce for me soon because six minutes is a long time.

The time limit will be down to 75seconds when you reach 15 activity.  Smiley
1156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Get 120% in few hours on: February 09, 2014, 08:09:32 PM
I love to earn 120% in few hours but what if they will not send back?

Someone sent 7 btc and got back 0.073 btc lol.
https://blockchain.info/address/18eNdoK2BThisidjkGSQX6hrHH1JSrwcKk
It is possible that that guy got his payment in parts. I got my 0.2BTC deposit back in 5 or 6 hours with 4 different payments.

It is possible...
but it is also possible that the pyramid will collapse sooner...

Looks like I am right...
Too bad, that 7btc guy has to learn a painful lesson this time. Smiley

Isn't it over? I am curious to know how it stopped :
"
The experiment is over.
We will return as many deposits as we can. We are not making money from this."

makeBTC.org has an other straight forward pyramid scheme (not an advice to try, pyramids obv don't work and finish badly)

How kind and thoughtful is the owner lol   Wink

1159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Matrix Gold Bitcoin Doubler Launched on: February 09, 2014, 08:01:32 PM
You do not need to refer new members to cycle.  No recruiting necessary.  You can earn Bitcoin by recruiting, earn 0.001 BTC for every paid position you referrals purchase (5 Levels Deep).  You can cycle more quickly by recruiting members,  recruit 2 members in the same line as you invested, and cycle immediately.

You don't need to refer new members, but you can earn btc by recruiting lol Cheesy
Just another pyramid Cheesy
1160  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7950 Cgminer 350 Kh/s need help modding bios on: February 09, 2014, 07:59:21 PM
Just so i don't want to leave the thread with what ended up being the issue with my Sapphire 7950.

1. I did not have the set allocation at the beginning of my batch file. I did do it in DOS but for some reason the memory was still being allocated.
What this did was allow me to get over the TC - 8192. Also I added the "del *.bin" at the top of the batch file because of what i read the .bin files can cause issues.

del *.bin
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

2. Also i re-installed windows due to GPU-Z was telling me my AMD drivers were having errors. I was playing with different drivers maybe they all did not get removed properly and causing conflicts.

3. I was having a issue where every hour or so my PC would shut down and i noticed that the USB devices were going to sleep. I had all ready ran through my power settings ensuring they were set to "never sleep/shut down", but i did not do it to the USB or the PCIe settings so i am assuming that did help and or issue #2 might have had something to do with that as well.

I am running at about ~660 kh/s.

Thank you for all the replies!   Cool

2. You are advised to remove a driver completely before installing a new one.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx

3. Is your GPU overheated?
