Used several exchanges and didn't see this or close function even once... So... Probably there is none that sucks - how are you supposed to do comparisons to make decisions. My preference is to mine coins in the tank and sit on them - then sell once they go up. seems like everyone rushes to the coins that are selling high, but by the mine you mine anything worth while they've dropped again. Yep it sucks indeed. Maybe someone should "borrow" this idea from Yahoo. Mtgox comeback easy? well - if 'hackers' could penetrate the system there - LOL.... they should have taken the software while they were at it

Are there any exchanges that allow me to overlay charts/compare coins on the same charts...
the same as what I can get on yahoo finance when comparing stocks?
thanks in advance

I have a question - I joined and see the list fo coins you can mine on the left- but I don;t see where you select which coin to mine? 2nd) you you have to have a separate address to be paid out for each type if coin? 3rd) is this pool auto switching or do I have to select the coin and if so - how do I select the coin - it's not readily apparent other than seeing a list on the left side of the home page
finally - I see some miners with certain btc amount/day next to their names in the pool list - is it possible to see what type of coin they're mining?
thanks in advance

Okay deal with the kgw issue first, but lets not let the algo issue sit for too long. We cannot stick with scrypt.
of course you can stick with scrypt. take a look at coinwarz and all of the coin with little or no value - they're all N-scrypt etc.... if you want to devalue your coin - by all means - switch to asic resistant algo.

by the way: stay away from http://emc2.cryptopools.com/they advertise on their home page awards for finding blocks and I found blocks but 'to my knowledge' have never seen the rewards posted into my transactions. they can correct me if I'm wrong but there are no transactions listed showing any bonuses. This promotion has ended, yes they should update their page. I did receive 6300 EMC2 in block finder bonuses from this pool. I have been very happy mining here and getting all payouts as expected. You can look in the threads here and see when they did give notice that the bonus has ended. how do you know it ended? how is anyone suppose to know it ended? I'm glad I jumped ship - I don't like doing business with a company who can;t even find the time to update it's home page. what? I'm supposed to search thousands of friggin threads when they could spend one minute making a change? NO THANKS! I'm back on emc2.lifeforce.info Page 121 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494708.msg5893531#msg5893531"Bonus blocks ended on CryptoPools. Gave out an extra 5700 EMC2 so 55,700 EMC2 total was given out." posted on March 25, 2014 Post #2409 thanks but leaving it posted on their home page constitutes false and misleading advertising - I even went to the trouble of emailing them yesterday and NEVER GOT A RESPONSE!

Thanks for the kind words, were not 100% sure if were going to switch algos but we have been testing X11 for a while now. I wish you luck with your coin and we'll keep you posted on any developments as they arise. Thanks again. I hope you don't switch. I like this coin but will not mine it any longer if you switch to X11

why mine the highest price altcoins?
should you mine the most volatile lowest prices coins then sell them when they're high?
SEEMS COUNTERINTUTIVE

so what's the goal of the site?

that's a great analysis.... thank you The trick is to pick new coins with low difficulty that are under the radar once it becomes news it's to late. agreed 100%

N-scrypt : Or how to make you $5,000 rig return about 1 dollar a day in mining revenue!!!
n-scrypt - what a joke.
My rig cost me ~ 15K and I can get 35 dollars or so per day mining EXE, if I wanted to.... I've got $8k in gear that generates $40/day. all I can say if that I see people in pools with 40 MH/s slaving away on coins that return them $15/day and I just laugh. I saw this in the darkcoin pool: 1 username 99,769 khs 63.557 drk/day so - take this guy - put him/her in a regular scrypt coin and reduce the kh/s by 2/3 and they'd wind up with about 33 Kh/s and they'd net $80/day in the dark coin forum this guy is getting $43/day god do I ever love him!

My opinion on having a N-scrypt coin : - It kills the reward of the early adaptive mining at lunch - Since early lunch blocks are the ultimate time to mine , upon lunch , all the coins usually get a lot of hashpower toward them. Where does this back fires? well you will have half the hashpower from your card as you will usually have. the market is down and therefore the coin will not have a strong buy/sell. the coin will most likely sell at bottom numbers. This will make this coin non-profitable to mine.
- The low reward feeling- Why high reward coins come out stronger is because there are huge block rewards and it gives them a feeling of millionaires. Where does this back fires? With n-scrypt you will always have half the rewards and most likely your coin will be a very low reward structure. people start to get discouraged to mine once the difficulty goes above 1 and the rewards per day are very low.
- Danger of network security-- The main topic no one wants to discuss. What will happen when the N-value starts to progress and your gpu cards mines less and less. This , together with previous points most likely will cause a lot of people to stop mining. Where does this backfire? a coin to be successful needs a lot of hard work to be adapted in markets. more then a year before you can actually buy any thing with it. Think of doge coins. it is so popular yet it is still no way near adapting to trading good market. it probably needs 6 more months. or more. By that time a N-scrypt coin will have changed different N-values. This coin will be very hard or pointless to mine with a gpu. With out USD market to this coin, it probably would have a low BTC trade volume. A lot of early adapter would have it abandoned and the network hashpower would be low. Risking the whole network security.
Okay, i have more points but i am tired typing about this. Look at all the N-scrypt trading volumes. especially the ones that are older. crushing. Everyone of them tries to push the N-scrypt is Asic resistant, But no one mention that N-scrypt are GPU worthless. The ultimate instamine. Mine it hard and fast with gpus then after a few halving and it becomes worthless to mine with gpu switch to cpu and mine the small rewards blocks with it. Therefore from insta mine to cpu bots. Nothanksjeff.jpeg Additional note: i sold my 50 verticoins for 0.8btcs at one of the hype-pumps ...........lol Thank you for you opinion, but our schedule time doesn't change every 6 months. do you agree though that most of the early adapters have 20k or more coins? do you have a problem with capitalism? well - do ya punk?

that's a great analysis.... thank you Yeah, and it completely refutes your entire argument. Ltc was supposed to be asic (and even GPU) resistant, like scrypt-n. It took it even further though, in that they didn't even want it to be GPU mineable. Did that kill it? Nope, 2nd biggest coin now. Would ltc be better off if it was asic resistant? Yep. Dev clearly says so himself. I don't particularly like scrypt-n, and I don't think it is will prevent asics in the long run, but your assertion that trying to be asics resistant is killing it is completely assinine. dude - I didn't say I agreed with it I just said it was a great analysis - like Ronald Reagan used to say: there you go again...jumping to conclusions. LOL
