Speaking of gridseeds. Some times they burn up in a shower of sparks. rare but does it happen. I had one burn up today. I now need to rma it. pain in the butt. well gaw will replace it. still more work.

Hi - sorry I have not been as active over the last few days. I was travelling all last week and did not have a lot of time to post. But I am back now!
Updates:
-Now that we have a deep liquid market it will be easier to gain merchant acceptance - and I will begin that work today.
-NSF: as the volume grows we will no doubt have a little more volatility, but we should also gain some buy support form the new coins Bryce Weiner is planning. My view is that the general public will gravitate to the least volatile coin...that does not mean it can't go up or down...but it will in a less volatile fashion.
That is all for now, I will update as necessary.

What other new coins? Bryce Weiner just launched XDQ (Dirac?) the only way to buy XDQ is to use NAUT...I would suspect that is why we just saw a little price spike That's cool, good to build up an existing coin this way :-) not sure I necessarily agree at this point - it's clear he wants his hands on as much Naut as he can get and this is an easy way to do it... give traders a path of least resistance and promote his coin at the same time... not a fan at this point.... I'd prefer to see Naut paired with Gold. |

Having received bulk packages unopened that came directly from the "gridseed factory" i can say that this isn't unique to a certain reseller or gaw's hosting facility. Mine were pretty decent overall and every one of them had dust on the fans. 4-5 out of the batches were rusted and 80% were unannodized. So the Chinese manufacturer was using these Asics before shipping them to even the resellers.
just another reason to not buy gridseed products and someone was wondering why we were saying bad things about some Chinese companies  and then there's that weird smell too... LOL |

what's the problem with multipools dumping on cryptsy? - it's generating activity and volume and that's good. which multipool would mine SMC at this point? Just wondering, because it's one of the least profitable coins right now. Multipools only mine the most profitable coin, and then dump them, so I think SMC is safe from that. Can't agree with you, try to set buy order for (let's say) 100k SMC on Cryptsy below 170 sat. I bet you will wait 2-3 hours and someone will start selling at this price with small packs 64-128 smc's. I know what I'm writing because I've done it twice last week. Yes I noticed that too, I think it is someone pretending to be a solo miner. I say pretending because such sales were happening at Cryptsy when we were in maintenance mode. There were no withdrawals or deposits during this time but the 32, 64, 128 etc sales continued. Someone is using a bot to dump SMC at block reward multiples instead of in a big chunk. there's someone with a nice chunk of hash on updamoon.com mining. |

if we're going to pay - I'd rather pay to get the coin on Mintpal. did it get dropped off Poloniex? They are listing coins daily, no need to pay if everyone votes every hour.. I think its funny many are hating on this coin, how can you not like a coin that a public figure puts his name on? Its nice to know who's accountable for the coin. Besides its a really fun coin to trade and I really like knowing when the premine will be dumped, it is one of the most transparent coins I have seen, this is why I think it will be more than just a p&d. IMHO NAUT and DRK are the 2 most interesting coins at the moment, and they both are the exact opposite I've not detected any hating in this thread thus far - some healthy skepticism is about it - but no hating. You call it skepticism, i call it hating, both the same thing really well - I love this coin - especially since I was an early miner : LOL Same :-) however I am HATING!!! - Hating myself for not renting an additional 250 Mhs of mining capacity when it was easy to mine these coins.
