1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin For The People of California! POOL UP! EXCHANGE COIN-SWAP! on: May 06, 2014, 01:47:35 PM

1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin Cryptocurrency Designed For The People of California! on: May 06, 2014, 01:43:42 PM
I'm confused...are GPU's on this already? If so should I just stop using my CPU's?
Grin GPU have been on it since the beginning (hence the instamine).
You just have to add to the coin.conf server=1 and you can use your gpu

but I stopped, got tired after 6.6 millions...

do u just point your gpu to ur local host? and what about worker and pass? not needed i take it?

Agree how do we do this?
for like any other coin you solo mine...
here the config I use:

addnode=54.194.99.126
addnode=54.194.99.126:11061
daemon=1
listen=1
server=1
rpcuser=dom
rpcpassword=FHsw5mQzXoe4rryw1AxSBGoP7r2HMnsrUv
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=7887

the confusion, I didn't know if I had to keep the name of the file as coin.conf or californiacoin.conf
so I duplicate the files just to be sure
in that case you point your miner to 127.0.0.1:7887

hoe do you solo mine if there's nothing in appdata?

does this wallet not create an appdata directory?
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin For The People of California! POOL UP! EXCHANGE COIN-SWAP! on: May 06, 2014, 01:12:12 PM
any ideas on my retarded wallet that just sites there even after I've added the node list?
1705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin For The People of California! POOL UP! EXCHANGE COIN-SWAP! on: May 06, 2014, 11:51:33 AM
this pool shows nothing after a few hours of mining....

http://cali.leetpools.net/mpos/index.php?page=account&action=transactions

are there any pools that work for this coin? - the other advertised pool (in post 1) show all wrong estimates

I'd like to solo but until I can get the wallet synch'd it's not possible.

1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin For The People of California! POOL UP! EXCHANGE COIN-SWAP! on: May 06, 2014, 11:48:45 AM
the wallet created nothing in appdata - what give and it has no nodes to even sync

what's up with this wallet?

is this some sort of joke?

and it's got Litecoin all over it - no one even took the time to change litecoin to california coin

you kidding me?

Didn't take the time to read the thread eh? No problem, I'll help you  Smiley

thanks for trying to help - but bad assumption of your part my friend - I did read it and I did add them and your wallet says: no block source available.

this is what my .conf looks like after adding the nodes - this aint my first trip to the fair...

LOL

and the conf file that you guys distribute is named coin.conf - why not california.conf?

1709  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 06, 2014, 09:59:09 AM
At curent prices you would pay 163.4 usd per MH for the first 10.000 units. (much more if btc will rise)
You will have a few months at most mining with profit , accounting the flood of scrypt asics.
Some examples:
  - 125  usd/MH - The War Machine GawMiners
  - 33.31 usd/MH - Titan KnC

so it appears as though they are not competitive with what will be available in three weeks and totally uncompetitive when the KNC & Mining Asics begin to arrive in late July / early august...

correct?
1710  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 06, 2014, 09:56:59 AM
is say up top this "is a hosted mining project" - so I assume these machine will not be for sale?
1711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: if you're stuck with a new gridseed blade.... on: May 05, 2014, 08:48:27 PM
Really?

You would like to purchase these miners at $115 per MH???

That price would make it cheaper than any of the new miners coming out...

Good luck to you buddy...

not really - same price as the Gawminers 27 MH unit when it sells for $3,499 - which ca be ordered today.

Errrm not really $129.59 per MH for Gawminer's miner... Also Gridseed Blade can run at 6MH at 850Mhz so it can lower the $/Mh down to $100 per MH.

hey! - good for me then - you're free to counter offer if you like!
1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New HASHRA product to be released soon!! on: May 05, 2014, 08:36:48 PM
I am hoping Hashra will reduce their prices as their miners soon...

I was told than an Announcement is forthcoming.

If any of  you want to upgrade to one of the Gawminers units, a Hashra unit or any other unit and need cash. I will purchase your gridseed blades for $600 each.

if the app they need shares their contact lists, browsing habits and location you could probably get a big data provider to underwrite you...

make it a game they plan and they get coins in return

I am definitely giving Simon and his Hashra team a chance. Even they had some hickups in the beginning with shipping their gridseed stuff they managed to solve most of the big problems. China is not an easy place for a western guy to make business. I have ordered a Warp 6 today and I am sure he will be able to deliver on time. Just 40 days left!!

and gawminers obsoleted their units price wise in four days - it's getting crazy....

1719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: $/MHS for Asic Miners is finally coming down on: May 05, 2014, 12:58:21 PM
Must admit what you said are in theory true.

but , please don't forget about the risks on pre-orders. most of the times, the manufacture strive to make the date, but it is not their call and sometime it is just tough shit, not anyone's fault. supply chain issue, unexpected problem with PCB board etc.

KnC is famous and kept their promise before, we don't even know if they will be able to keep their promise this time , but you don't think any of these smaller miner companies will be able to do that right?

I hope i only provide some useful infomation. if you feel it is a chance you should take, then, yes, by all means.

my source tells me that the Hashra and Gawminer unit use Zues's chip which are still being tested, not stable and overheat.

we shall see.
