1521  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HASHRA - LUNAR LANDER - ASIC SCRYPT MINERS 12MH - 72MH SHIPPING 31st MAY on: May 14, 2014, 02:20:32 AM
None really...there are a few camps...the gawminers zombies...thw hashmaster followers...the minereu people...the ppl who just likevto buy direct from chinese manufacturers..etc... everyone's pretty price competitive...altho simons the most competitive.

Hahaha gawminers zombies, that's hilarious.  Why put it that way?  Gaw miners gave me a $50 credit just today for a very small mishap in one of my orders which I didn't really bitch about, just mentioned over pm.

I get being a repeat customer, considering the smog over the shovel selling industry, but I have ordered from a few different companies which I trust.  The margins will surely get tighter, today ZH has their volt modded blades for $899USD+ while GAW still has their regular blades at $949USD.  GAW will inevitably drop theirs to somewhere around $849USD or less I would assume.  Still, at that price the G Blades sit at $163/mh and Hashra is at $149/mh on the smaller units, no brainer there

I hate to state the obvious but there are a lot of people getting really rotten hosting service whose miners are down alot and are being held by the balls are too scared to complain loudly.

that's just not me - If my miners were down more than 30 minutes a day I'd be having a fit... and there would be hell to pay.

I'm glad you got a credit because it appears as though there are lots of people whose miners are down a lot and not getting credits.

I can do it better - I know I can because I have in the past.

1522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: May 14, 2014, 02:14:10 AM
Can someone explain to me...how is this coin being ignored so much?? Usually mintpal and coinmarketcap are all over coins doing this well!

The issue is that right now the coin is being heavily mined and dumped which will continue for awhile until mining has slowed down near it's finish.

Unfortunately like all coins (even BTC) that are setup with such a high inflation rate (around 7-10% per day now with NAUT) it will be hard to raise the price until it's fully mined out.
A good example is MYR. It could never get it's price to stay over 500-600 satoshi. Great innovation but poor specs.

PoS coins and limited mining run coins are the future of Crypto and the key to holding value in it.
Most investors in Crypto know this and will not put money in new coins that are mined heavily. It's just asking to lose money.
The market cap will rise (with the increased "shares") but the coins price will stay flat or drop until mining is over.
There may be surges in price but that will lead to heavy mining to crush the price in the surge.

NAUT is a great idea and has excellent press and backers but would have a better outcome if the coin was forked to accommodate a considerably faster mining reduction and PoS.

I do not own at this time but I am posting this due to the publicity the coin has and how ordinary people will perceive the coin, and crypto in general, when the value drops or fails to rise.

I will wager money that you are wrong. I will bet you that this coin hits 40,000 satoshi in the next 7 days.

This coins will not be mined out for quite some time and this one is different - there's transparency here and it's not an 'every man for himself' attitude with this coin - you're not constantly worrying about when the grand dump will come and drives prices into the basement. This coin has stability - what the government doesn't provide the stabilization fund does - it's why other coins are constantly raped by opportunists.

and slower mining is what keeps everyone coming back - if they could mine t fast - they'd dump it even faster....

the coins that have lasting value are the ones that are difficult to obtain and I'm glad this coin is... Smiley

I want more info on the 90 mhs a2 scrypt miner I heard it drops hashrate to 30mhs during the day and cant mine constantly is this true? Has anyone here bough it and had any quality problems? I want to confirm before I order so I don't face a huge loss as 11k usd is a lot of money for a miner to be honest.

why not just wait another 10 weeks and get in the queue for one of these: https://www.mining-asics-technologies.com/

I'm on the early list for two of their 125 MHs units...

asic chips are german engineered and manufactured by Dreamchip AG
1527  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Scam List on: May 13, 2014, 11:11:48 PM
Hey what does everyone think of Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT)?

There was an article about them in Bitcoin mag: http://bitcoinmagazine.com/11125/asics-litecoin-come/

And here is their store: https://www.mining-asics-technologies.com/shop/

With machines like that - I was astounded - yet they featured in Bitcoin mag yet it all looks too good to be true?

The team are listed with Linkedin profiles - one withe 350 connections, so that's two boxes ticked. But very long lead time is not good.

What do you think? Should we be trusting this one?

Regards
Estelle

Looks like a scam.

50mh miner is cheaper than 30mh.

All prices are just too low to be legit.

And September delivery is pretty late. I'm guessing this is so they can keep collecting preorder funds before people wonder why nothing is shipping.

def not a scam....

Nice website seems a bit too good to be true 250mh on the cheap what do people think straight up scammy or worth a punt?

I've talked to the owner on the phone and have a few of their 125 mhs units on order.

he's on facebook and linked if you want to contact him.

they're on schedule for late july delivery

by the way people - be on the lookout for the scammer trying to pass himself off as jack via private messages.

he wrote to me today and this is his forum name 'asiabtc.'

notice the period at the end of his name - be on the lookout and he gave me this address to send my fund to:

1Q7QjemCXQVg3sd1exLirEHYzejB1QRvc4

Instead I sent a Bitcoin Bomb.

LOL

A few weeks ago I purchased a gridseed blade from hashra. It came pretty quick and was packaged very well. they included every cable I needed for instant plug and play. The raspberry pi even had a case on it. The service that I received is what made decide to buy the lunar lander warp 1. I have one question though. I bought after the first discount but before the more recent one that was given because the decreased projected hash rate of the product. I received an email stating that I would be compensated for this decrease in hash rate either by a refund or by extra mining equipment. For the people that have placed larger orders, I can see how you will just ship them another module to make up for the loss in hash rate but how will people that only bought the warp 1 be compensated?

its easy to get Simon on Facebook via their instant messenger if you wanna ask him.

Glad your issue with AGX didn't taint your adoration of this coin Smiley

I like what the coin is about....

and right now - it's about one thing: Making Me MONEY!!!!

the company is very legit - I have one of the very first orders for two Excaliber 4's.  Marc told me hopefully mid to late July Delivery - I think they're a better bet than KNC Miner and I've talked to Marc on the phone/

This is precisely why scam works.. Jack i suggest you to change skype id to something different asap because like merv i didnt notice subtle difference in the beginning and scammer was pretty sneaky trying to lure me in with discounts via skype.. by then i started to have doubts and had to call you.. Smiley based on no of coins gone through that suspicious wallet the scammer seems to be doing pretty well at the expense of your reputation.. i wonder how many more poor souls are there that took the bait...

Rodeo did u use skype or Jacks website to place order? If u used skype then post the id and txid for all to see... there is a scammer using lightningasic as username so its possible u got scammed man.. the skype ids on the website are confusing.. legit: "live:lightningasic" scammer:"lightningasic" these subtle differences are what making scammers successfull..

Jack take note of this and make skype ids more distinctive or put a note not to use it for sales since people are getting scammed...
imho buying goods via skype is just silly..

they are exactly the same
i can't see the subtle difference you're talking about
Rodeo its exactly opposite: jack uses only one address to prove his reputation and deter scammers.. and scammers on the other hand try to use newly generated address to cover tracks..i know because thats exactly what that scammer was trying to do to me...

could people who have sent jack money please post the wallet address, i am just curious if they possibly do match,, i dont think they do - you would have to be pretty stupid to use the same address for scams and sales. but he still hasnt posted it, plus when he confirms it, future thefts would be more difficult and block chain conformations would be more meaningful. if you see yours is different please still post it in hopes we got a match.

good idea.
we stopped to use live:lightningasic now. new client can use new skype id to contact with andy:  tech.andy
thanks.

on skype there is : lightningasic, and also ligntningasic -

which one is the real jack?

there is also this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583784.0

posted by : lightningasic

in addition the btc address at the top of that thread says to pay:

1DEBCZxfb8JRSf9oFk26oTJhHExedZ52nh

the first post in the thread says to pay: 1DEBCZxfb8JRSf9oFk26oTJhHExedZ52nh

that thread: 1DEBCZxfb8JRSf9oFk26oTJhHExedZ52nh
this thread:  1DEBCZxfb8JRSf9oFk26oTJhHExedZ52nh

they are the same.

In addition I got a private message from asicbtc and he said to pay:

Hi,
Thank you for the interest in our products but please do not order via skype due to scammer.
Much safer to order direct from me here.
Current price inc. priority shipping is 9.09 BTC.
Payment address -
1Q7QjemCXQVg3sd1exLirEHYzejB1QRvc4
After payment please pm me the transaction I.D and your shipping address.
Thanks.

so I am totally confused who to believe - especially in light of the fact that no one has received a shipping notice yet.

and on top of all of that I see multiple contact in skype all representing  to be from this company...

To the readers of this thread, I have bought from Jack in the past. Sure, customer service could be better but he does ship the goods.

I placed another order today using his website and product should ship on the 15th, I paid with bitcoin.

I will keep thread advised of the process.

my question to you is this?

is this the right thread to order from or the wrong thread?

I was told by someone else that aisabtc is a scammer and that I should be ordering the group buy from this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=598393.new#new

I'm really confused!
