Hey CCX COiners... Are we all holding .00000001 unexchangeable coins?

What is going on with Coin to make us keep holding and hanging around?  Cornerstone can still take off...

yea - sucks doesn't it???

LOL

a little bit yes.  :/  this coin is not sitting dead in the water though.  it is on exchanges, there are plenty of coins for use.. now how to use them?  how to garner interest?  possibly some kind of Coin Revival - sponsored by us CCX holders.  We need some development of some sort.... games, faucets, something innovative that we can get the coins to some coiners and let them spread slowly through the forums.  many of us are somewhat techy... we have friends or someone who would want to invest in creating something for CCX?

IMHO the coin is dead - if there are no buyers then the coin is dead.

if you can find buyers it has life.

I think SHA mining equipment will provide a better return at this point. PM me if want a S2 coupon that should put you under $2k.

NEVER

at this point - maybe slightly better but if you're just looking to mine btc - that's a real losing proposition long term.

the only bright spot for sha256 is that there's a decent number of sha256 coins coming out.... so all the bitmain s1's are ready for boat anchor duty yet altho unless some better paying coin comes along real soon their power consumption will exceed their revenue generating capability.
1343  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Used Gridseed 5-Chips on: May 18, 2014, 01:04:52 PM
I am willing to buy some used gridseeds, preferably with power cable and mini usb cable included. Tell me your offer.

why used: I found a guy in greece with about 500 new ones he's selling for $40 a piece.

That's OK too. Used are supposed to be cheaper, but who is that guy?

forum member: promithios

Sent him a PM. Still interested in other offers.

I've already posted the same offer - people are trying to get $60 to $70 a piece for their used ones....

unrealistic imho

Still needed. That guy wanted to sell me 100 units, I need like 1 or 2.

I'm in for 50 is someone wants to bulk order 100

1344  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB - Used Gridseeds Blades on: May 18, 2014, 01:02:13 PM
why would some1 sell them so cheap ?

I've already bought 5 at this price from people either looking to get out of mining or wanting money for the 27mh units from gaw or zoomhash or the 30mh units from zeus rebranders in china.
1345  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Around $2000 to spend on: May 18, 2014, 12:58:37 PM
Just buy the alt rigs, unless you want to mine direcly with coin terra 1 th.

But, I doubt anyone will lower the price around 2,000.

1th will go under $1500 in 3-4 weeks

that's cool - who do you think will have it out first?
1346  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Around $2000 to spend on: May 18, 2014, 12:33:03 PM
here's another way you could spend $2,000 and net about $40/day off sha256 mining -  the best paying is btc right now but there are a lot of new sha256 coins also

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590816.0

of course the power consumption to make your $40 is higher than with scrypt asic.

Will pay $500 each - any quantity

need cash for the new bigger asic miners? I'll buy your used gridseed blades!

Im confused, whats their stock rated speed  / power consumption?
Whats their OC potential / power consumption?

interesting - your deal is $1/gh

and if I bought $1,000 that's 25 of your boards = 1,000 gh

and that's 1125 watts

and with electric it's $21.47 net to me per day

hmmmm.

I already have a pi and psu's from my mining rigs which I'm replacing with scrypt asics...

I may take you up on your offer.

Well yes, I meant it launching on exchanges like MintPal.

Peaked at over 100 so far, with 2500BTC+ Volume

I see some bottoms at 80 and 50, seems to be stable at 50 for now with volume at 500BTC+

way undervalued - people are devoting serious hash to this coin over 12 MH/s this morning - previousl high was about 10 - it's crazy - everyone wants this coin.

120,000 to 150,000 coming monday

I hope this is true, we shall see tomorrow ? Smiley

in addition - this is the most profitable coin to mine: at 60,000 yatoshi this coin pays $2/mhs and that's really good.
1354  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Around $2000 to spend on: May 18, 2014, 10:54:58 AM
I'm slowly dumping my rigs - one board at a time...

I'll keep my MOBs because I run my gridseeds and blades off BAMT on a stick from RabbitLTC.

I have 23 MHS of Asic miners now and 7 GPU's (for about 4.9mhs) but I just don't see the value anymore in GPU mining given the cost of electricity and the wealth of scrypt coins being released all the time.

I built the rigs thinking I'd mine some of the hybrid crypto's but their values are not good at all and why waste the electric.

I'm mining one scrypt coin right now that's paying nearly $2/mh per day and I expect it to double in value so why spend any time on hybrids which is the only reason I'd need gpu's

In addition I have 48 MHS of new asic miners coming in the next two weeks from hashra.com

if anyone is looking to buy MSI R9 280 boards that are only 2 months old - I have 5 for sale right now.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=603805.msg6771785#msg6771785

You may also want to monitor the hardware section here on the forum for asic deals:  there are a lot of people selling their gridseeds right now at bargain basement prices. I found a guy in Greece willing to sell new ones for $40 a piece - so for $2,000 you could get 50 of the and run them at 850 Mhz and get 361kh out of each - that would give you: 18mh and if you mined the same coin as I'm mining you'd make $36/day - of course you'd need to buy a usb hub, a PSU, some cables and a rasberry pi to run the seeds but they're pain free that's for sure. In scrypt mode they take 7 watts so that's only 350 watts for 18 mh.

If you went the gpu route to get 18 mh - you'd need about 25 gpu boards each consuming about 350w each - 25 x 350 = 8,750 watts of power consumption and then figure 800 watts power supplies you need 11 psu's to power all those boards, not to mention the heat you'd generate and yes - you will have to buy fans to cool them also. Bottom line is that RIGS are a pain - I can't wait to get rid of my remaining gpu boards

the other route is that there are people selling gridseed blades right now also - getting about $800 used for them but they're only 5.6Mh and not as good a deal as used gridseeds are.

1356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: May 18, 2014, 09:52:26 AM

that really did not do anything for me - I was wondering if I could avoid 'downloading' the entire block chain and merely download a file that already has the blockchain in it?

Theoretically, you can download a 'bootstrap' file which will get you started, but generally this is frowned upon because you are trusting a single authority on the integrity of that file, whereas the network is, by design, trusted to itself.

It's something I'd quite like to do for StarCoin, but the method for doing it seems a little vague.

What I can say, is that only this week I have done a complete blockchain sync for StarCoin over a 20Mbit connection in about a day .. obviously not watching it download, that gets tiresome very quickly - but it does sync up correctly. You will see the message 'Checkpoint is old' - this is ok, but there are steps in process to rectify this, and get a new wallet published. As always, patience is key Smiley

I also tried solo mining against the above wallet successfully, and have mined a small quantity of coins this way. Setup is a bit complicated, but there are guides online if you search. Alternatively there is a good stable pool running at starcoin.mining.sexy which you can use.

I'm giving up on the coin - wallet just stop synching....

onto another coin - over and out.

bought in at 89. not much. so hoping in the next week it will rise again. i shouldve waited until morning lol

it'll be over 12 by the end of the day monday - traders are watching network hash rates which are not letting up ...which means demand for new coins is high.

the cost to mine a coin right now is: .00055 satoshi

this is up tenfold in the last 5 days but network hash has only decreased slightly - bottom line - it's still the most profitable scrypt to mine and everyone is here for the same reason.
1359  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Around $2000 to spend on: May 17, 2014, 04:06:43 PM
I like these by Hashra - production has started and they'll be shipping in 5 to 10 days.

they're the deal best out there for scrypt - I have a few on order.

there's a code you can enter to get 10% off - the 24 mh unit is a great deal
