that really did not do anything for me - I was wondering if I could avoid 'downloading' the entire block chain and merely download a file that already has the blockchain in it?

I want to do some solo mining because of the decent block size and low difficulty level

I reinstalled the wallet and it started at about 786,000 and now it's down to 680,000


I wish there were somewhere you could  just download a constantly updated file to save everyone from having to go through this - you know?

I'm running on windows 8 - I installed wallet and it's been synching for nearly two days now.

was down to about 135,000 remain blocks - then jumped back up to 320,000 blocks

can someone tell me what going wrong?

is the block chain screwed up on this coin?

I've never rented for a new release right off the bat - I'd say that at least 50% of the time something goes wrong. I typically wait a few hours and watch network hash before deciding to rent in addition of my own gear.

I also take a look at what they've put into the coin work wise - in this case - they haven;t done much and I expect this coin will sink like a hot rock at 1 yatoshi and hopefully they'll get listed so at least I can dump the stuff.

there's nothing unique about this coin at all - I hate to use the term but it's just another shit coin with some pretty graphics.

it's just a way for a few guy to make some money with their premine and I accept that fact. I don;t begrudge them - they did the work to bring the coin out (altho in this case the work was not done very well) : LOL

I fully expect NAUT to stabilize between 130,000 and 150,000 in the next few days - it's already shown it's capable of 110,000 and nethash is consistent - the demand is there for new coins. No one is heading for the exits. The Stabilization Fund concept has not been copied by at least one other coin coming out soon also.
