1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DBL] Doubloons: Pirate Currency on: May 21, 2014, 12:41:16 AM
can these be traded anywhere else than cryptsy - they're not allowing deposit addresses to be generated.

ideas?

same thing - started at 1 connection then went to zero

and it just sits

tried running it as administrator and same problem - stuck with no connections

but I think the 1 connection is false because it cycles through 1 and back to none over and over

Must be something wrong with your machine or local network. Try ping/tracert to these seed nodes, maybe another machine/notebook or VM.

it traceroutes just fine and resolves the ip address

and I can telnet to the name : port just fine

Huh

well - I want to solo mine and every other wallet (probably 15 in all) all connect fine - except this one.

by the way - on windows 7 I get this when attempting to fire up the wallet

I tried it on another computer here

a fatal error has occurred

Exception: St12runtime_error
CDB(): can't open database file, error 1
c:\wallets\Orbitcoin\orbitcoin-qt.exe in Runaway exception

and the second time I run it on windows 7 it files right up, has 5 connections and download fine

too bad I can;t use this computer because it's my office computer and my home computer with windows 8 is the one having problems.
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Orbitcoin v1.4.2.1: Staking Bonanza ~ Extreme Stakes! on: May 20, 2014, 11:53:16 PM
thanks for the info - firewall is completely open

running on windows8

no connections at all - zippo - nada!

all other wallets on the same computer are connecting fine

Put the following in your data/orbitcoin.conf if nothing else works for you.

Code:
dns=1
addnode=seed0.orb.sx:15298
addnode=seed1.orb.sx:15298

same thing - started at 1 connection then went to zero

and it just sits

tried running it as administrator and same problem - stuck with no connections

but I think the 1 connection is false because it cycles through 1 and back to none over and over

I think someone really need to try this with windows 8

i'm re-installing from scratch and it says 1 active connection when it starts and then it went to zero and that's where it sits.

did anyone ever test this on windows 8?

very low buy support what do we expect?

it's called dumping...

now the weird part is that this is really panic selling right now - because there are not a lot coins out there that were had for less than 30,000 so it's either panic selling of all those 'other' coin holder raking in the profits from exchanging their shit coins.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: May 20, 2014, 11:27:53 PM
It will rise very soon, time to buy more! Cheesy

LOL - just like titantic
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Orbitcoin v1.4.2.1: Staking Bonanza ~ Extreme Stakes! on: May 20, 2014, 11:25:24 PM
does anyone have a .conf file?

my wallet won't synch - no connections.

You get addresses from DNS seeds + IRC. That's enough to get started.

well my dns works fine because they're my dns servers I have 6 of them and two only do authoritative look ups.
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: May 20, 2014, 11:08:20 PM
the good news is that there are chronic optimists out there who remember the days when it went over 10,000 and they're salivating at the opportunity to buy in the 3's - let's hope there's a lot of them.

There is also the fact there is a drive down prior to cryptsy addition just like at MintPal.

there is no empirical data to support that claim
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: May 20, 2014, 10:54:48 PM
Anyone have an idea what's going on with StarCoin?  As of this writing, the last block generated was 777855 approximately 5 hours ago.  Both of my nodes are on the same block, and CoinWarz also lists 777855 blocks.  Difficulty isn't astronomical or anything.  It's almost like something got stuck.

I was solo mining and it just stopped dead - all found blocks were being rejected so I gave up.

Naut needs good news right now - let's wait for a week.

I don't want to regret selling now if naut goes to .001 btc anytime this week.

we all have to make our own decisions

unless there's a run up in price of either one of those other coins - there's no hope for Naut now - it's been linked and now it's fate rest int he hands of others - not the people who  mined it or purchased it.

this is what happens when you lose control in spite of a non existent 'so called stabilization fund' - no matter how smart you are there's always someone out there a little smarter and will eat your lunch.

bk has found himself in a den of thieves - we all wax fondly of the wild west - but there were a lot of murders and pioneers with arrows in their back - seems like that's what just happened - LOL

1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Orbitcoin v1.4.2.1: Staking Bonanza ~ Extreme Stakes! on: May 20, 2014, 10:43:19 PM
I named to copies - coin.conf and orbitcoin.conf and put copies in the folder along with -qt.exe and also in the data folder...

alas - to no avail.

no synching

Nautilus is sinking faster than the pelagic marine mollusks of the cephalopod family Nautilidae,

no nodes?

I'm running the new wallet on windoze 8

I didn't need nodes but here you go:

addnode=209.173.81.165
addnode=94.67.111.203
addnode=95.85.50.11
addnode=86.174.49.224
addnode=212.116.78.90
addnode=198.50.239.178
addnode=94.23.1.224
addnode=90.6.103.84
addnode=31.220.27.140
addnode=92.243.26.148
addnode=31.200.201.218
addnode=107.206.228.217

where should it go and what should it be named.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: May 20, 2014, 10:29:20 PM
nautilus to cryptsy today actually.

https://www.cryptsy.com/currencies/view/157

I think this coin need to go on swissex - that's where dumped coins go to die..

it's on life support now.

it's sinking faster than Black Coin did...

LOL - maybe next time the devs will heeds my words.

if it hadn't been linked to those shit coins it would probably be over 100,000 right now...

I'm predicting another four fold decrease as the dumping continues - perhaps a bottom out at about 8,500 and it will never ever see 50,000 again...

the death bell has rung.
