221  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin museum for a large metropolitan city—what should it include? on: August 08, 2019, 10:17:25 PM
That's a kickass idea bud! How much do you even have to set-up your own museum lol Anyway, below are a few things I think your museum should include

1) Satoshi's whitepaper in a big frame.
2) Hash of the first transaction.
3) Satoshi's valuable posts from the forum.
4) Kilara and couple of other physical bitcoins.
5) The very first bitcoin miner set-up.
6) Paper wallets followed by the old pen-drive based hardware wallets.

...and last but not the least, a selfie of theymos with Roger Ver
222  Economy / Reputation / Re: This game-protect fuck is the best annoying character on: August 08, 2019, 10:11:06 PM
I just did that on my trust settings for him.  I definitely don't trust his feedbacks and I'm pondering whether I should leave him a neg--he's not a scammer, but he's doing his best to ruin people's reputations without good reason and that's not cool.
He's just trolling at this point. You might disagree but he's too mature to be spamming someone's reputation as he knows that wouldn't mean shit. That makes me conclude, he just wants attention and members are giving it to him.

For the DT members, do you think that's justified or what?  I haven't been leaving a lot of negs since the trust system changed.  I think game-protect deserves it, but I'm not sure what the standard is anymore.
From what I know, negative ratings should be left for reasons including trade and other deals and not for something related to reputation. I would definitely take him off my trust list but won't leave negative feedback for trolling.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Number #1 Betting Prediction Service [STOP WASTING MONEY] on: August 03, 2019, 02:02:12 PM
Weekly package : 15 EUR -- > BTC Only
Monthly Package : 35 EUR --> BTC Only
This is where I stopped reading. You promise to make people rich, you said you are experienced with betting and are good at it that makes me assume you're rich. And you're offering your services for dirt cheap? That's not how rich gamblers function lol

The winning rates from your predictions will be as cheap as your service price lol
224  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of (un)known methods scammers user to scam users with honorable mention on: August 03, 2019, 01:07:18 PM
Good work! I'd like to add one more method which is very sophisticated and many newbies fall for it. The method goes like "Want someone to test my new product or test my new mixer or test my new bot" with competitive rewards. They ask users to install or download their software for testing and usually, it's a virus or malware which steals bitcoins. It's easy to fall for this especially if you're a non-techy person.
225  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges are starting to give users tools to fight fraud and money laundering on: August 03, 2019, 12:58:42 PM
Fault and money laundering existed before bitcoin or crypto and I don't know why everyone seems to ignore that fact. All these exchanges want to take advantage of the fact that bitcoin is not a legalized currency in the world and many users are afraid to use it or use it secretively. They know users will be afraid to submit the KYC documents if asked for and that creates a perfect situation for them to steal the money. Any token or service that promotes submitting users documents should be avoided at all costs. Not ever crypto holder is a money launderer.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Walmart Digital Coin Succeed Facebook Libra? on: August 03, 2019, 12:50:04 PM
In the news Walmart is trying to Patent its own digital currency https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/10258-walmart-is-trying-to-patent-its-own-digital-currency-imitating-fb-libra

And the idea is said to imitate Facebook's Libra.

My question is; do you think Walmart Currency will succeed Facebook's Libra?
I think not. Walmart is using blockchain in their logistics systems for a long time now and it's a private blockhain so it does not have much exposure. Walmart doesn't seem to promote blockchain to make money but just use the technology. Libra, on the other hand, it's going to be totally commercial, created to make Zukerberg rich.
227  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kingbet.io has anybody heard of it? on: August 03, 2019, 12:44:00 PM
Just found out about this casino and they offer 150% on first deposits upto 1btc per usual but still 150% is quite good when I mostly see 100% for most if not all other online casinos.
Seems too good to be true. The deposits are fine but what about the withdrawals? Most of such fancy offers are created with inception that people will deposit high amount, get the bonus and then when it comes to asking for withdrawals, we fuck them over.

Don't risk money on it.
228  Economy / Services / Re: ☠️ Scammer & scam identifier AI ☠️ on: August 03, 2019, 12:40:32 PM
So this can just say if someone is a scammer or not? Do you know if banks also use this system? Or something similar?
Banks use much-advanced systems for scam and fraud detections. This is no where near to the AI and ML used by banks to combat fraud transactions.

@OP: I'd say it's a really nice Bot but what is the efficiency of it? Is there a trial version of the bot we can use for demo purposes? Those mentioned examples could easily be detected by programming the bot to crawl through a channel's messages and looking for frequency count of the keywords like "scams, pozni, etc". This is relatively easy compared to detecting a scam which is quite new.
229  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aitheon [ACU] Possible Scam - Refuse to Pay Bounty on: August 03, 2019, 12:33:15 PM
Sylon? Yes, I've been in contact with him. Around two months ago one of the team (now seemingly taking a sabbatical) asked in the main channel if anyone can help reaching Sylon (image 1) as he seemingly ignore the admin. Upon going back and forth for quite some time, I managed to get them in touch, but then... it just went back to the beginning. I know personally from asking Alex as a follow up for the issue that he was assigned for other task, just as he managed to be in touch with admin after days of effort. Personally, it was a weird decision, as it seems like waste of effort because after trying so hard to solve the issue and get in touch, he was assigned just at the brink of solving.
Who is Alex again? Could you ask Sylon to respond to this thread, please? Maybe they have a better view of the situation?

The problem with Sylon as their BM, the way I understand it, was they also refuse to pay as agreed. It seems there are several admin before Alex that tried to reach Sylon, only to have several weird issue just like the one with Alex. At this point, it would be rather understandable that Sylon initially reluctant to get in touch with Alex as he most likely already know that the end result would be the same. Also, you seems to be wrong about him getting payment, he is also yet to get his payment.
I don't quite agree that he is not being paid. Most of the bounty managers either get paid upfront or weekly basis. I'm also wondering why didn't Sylon start a scam accusation when he knows people from the bounty campaign he managed are not paid? That's not what a reputed bounty manager does.
230  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which Online Game Do You Want To See Bitcoin As A Payment Method? on: August 03, 2019, 12:14:07 PM
Pubg or Clash of Clans? There is an indirect way of using bitcoins to buy stuff for these games as lots of sellers here sell the in-game merch for bitcoins but that again is not officially sold by the game. Also, as far as mobile games are concerned, this is never going to happen as games want to avoid the payment hassle and just depend on the operating system to take care of it.

good luck for you try to contact him there
That's a good find. I'm pretty sure he is the same user because I had hired him for a job regarding data-science and he was gloating about his knowledge in machine learning. Matter of fact, he never finished the simple project and told me his computer burned down which had my work lol Too bad for him that I hadn't paid him a penny upfront.
232  Economy / Reputation / Re: Zwei - Wolf.Bet - Does not pay me on: August 02, 2019, 08:45:08 PM
I think we need more lawyers and more complicated lengthy or Thule's wife. Roll Eyes
Is she hot though? * Asking for a friend for future purposes.

Damn, i should have contacted game-protect first, shit, he would have sued zwei and I would have got a 1m settlement.
Sued? "Extorted" is the word maybe you're looking for?  Huh Game-Protect is the type of dude who does more lawyers than a civil court.

233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for discord group (please read) on: August 02, 2019, 06:49:18 PM
Why don't you create one and add members whoever are interested? You can have a mod or a bot that removes all referral links and unwanted posts? It's pretty easy to set-up a discord bot. I'm willing to join if you can manage it without any spam.
234  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Brave, the so called "privacy" browser now requires KYC! on: August 02, 2019, 06:45:42 PM
lol I think crypto-related projects are evolving backward. Even google-chrome doesn't require you to do any KYC or that sort of thing to use the browser. You can always configure your cookie settings and make sure your data is protected. Good times with brave. Had to uninstall it after the update.
235  Economy / Reputation / Re: Zwei - Wolf.Bet - Does not pay me on: August 02, 2019, 06:38:26 PM
I don't know if you read the campaign rules but they have clearly mentioned
Quote
I reserve the right to remove anyone, for any reason from the campaign.
I reserve the right to change the rules or pay rates for new rounds.
So you getting removed without a logical reason won't surprise anybody.
See, I don't like that. Blanket removal statements are absolutely ridiculous. It seems foolish to justify any unconscientious act by citing something absurd in the ToS/rules. It's the same thing with casinos writing in their ToS something vague about balance seizure or KYC checks.

Rigor above all.
I concur but most of the counter-arguments are supported by what you called vague statements. It would still make sense in the case of Casinos as they have to cite conditions as such "US players not allowed" or "Multi-accounts get banned with no pay" but here it's literally a post without any actual meaning to it. Let's hope for the manager to respond and not use those rules in defense.
236  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aitheon [ACU] Possible Scam - Refuse to Pay Bounty on: August 02, 2019, 06:33:06 PM
Did you try contacting this guy? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=112240 Their bounty manager? He should be your first point of contact, to be honest. He would have probably got his money. Also, who works for free for almost a year without any pay? It all boils down to you not being careful enough to choose the project you promoted.
237  Economy / Reputation / Re: Zwei - Wolf.Bet - Does not pay me on: August 02, 2019, 06:27:12 PM

So you getting removed without a logical reason won't surprise anybody. The pay could be argued and I believe you deserve to get paid for the valid posts you made. If you want to take it forward, you can maybe start a flag since it's sort of violating a direct contract with you? See how the community responds to that flag.
238  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help me map out the steps to make my project succeed. on: August 02, 2019, 06:23:32 PM
I am wanting to get everything ready to reach investors and as I have no connections would need some advice on how to gain investment.
These days if your project contains AI or Blockchain in the demo, your chances of getting good funding increases drastically. However, to raise money you need to show you have active users or there is some sort of income from the project. I'm talking about legit good projects and not scams like ICO or IEO's. You should rather focus on getting the product out there and get real users before approaching the seed funds.
239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Project Opportunities "Too good to be true" on: August 02, 2019, 06:20:11 PM
Being a developer, I do get calls and interview offers from blockchain-based start-ups and I recently declined one offer letter after talking to their founder. He wanted to sell the company as soon as possible once it has good funding. They were not giving shares so there is no point for me to wait for the company getting sold. Also, I wouldn't even consider working for a company that is soo primitive that it hasn't completed at least 2 rounds of funding. Won't even bother a project that is just an idea.
240  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Project: Libra Block Explorer on: August 02, 2019, 06:16:53 PM
In the long run, I don't see Libra as being Facebook's coin. Facebook will have similar rights to Libra as any other member of the Libra Association (see whitepaper). Also, they actively invite and encourage third-party developers to build products based around the Libra Blockchain.
I have to disagree with that. Facebook will never open source their stuff in such a way that it doesn't belong to them anymore. They encourage third-party developers to do things for them and they will certainly compensate for it but at the end of the day, they will be making more money than you can imagine.
