1161  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Shapeshift Membership on: September 15, 2018, 11:55:23 AM
I think crypto services are being forced to move to such models.
Not really. Services have their own rights, citizens have their own privacy rights and government can only impose limited restrictions unless a court order is issued which takes months of hearings. These exchanges are just doing it to make their process of dealing with customer complaints easier. They know people like to be anonymous. No court would take a consumers accusation seriously if they can't prove their identity. You can file a case that the exchange has stolen 100 BTC but there is no way they could prove the BTC belonged to them without a KYC.
1162  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitmass Exchange : Bitmass Ecosystem is a safe and efficient cryptocurrency . on: September 15, 2018, 11:46:08 AM
Have you already started bumping your thread with the shill accounts above? Stop doing that.

You know how I figure out a project is going to be trash? If it does project launch and ICO at the same time. No doubt your idea is never going to be out of the white-paper and the exchange is never going to be used practically.  (While I type another shill has posted which is typical ANN bumping post, I see couple of them more and I'll make sure your thread is moved to a trashcan)
1163  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hey guys this is my crypto trading project have look and let me know on: September 15, 2018, 11:42:24 AM
What if the price doesn't fall in the 24 hours? Actually, that is not how insurance work, your idea is more like gambling. I thought the 10% would be okay if the bitcoins are lost in any unforeseen circumstances like exchanges going down or wallets getting hacked but 24 hours margin is out of context. What's the guarantee you wouldn't run away with the 10% paid to you in advance.  Embarrassed

he is not wrong, he is just a new user, I represent dawin665 apologizing for his carelessness
And who the fuck are you? Brother from another scammer?

That doesn't look like what a new user would do. He is just another bounty whoring scammer forum needs to get rid off. @OP, the least you can do is link the profile of the scammer so it becomes easier for DT to leave the trust ratings.

1165  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware Jblade is a Scammer on: September 15, 2018, 11:30:56 AM
Don't screen-shot everything. Use the specified scam accusation format and recreate the thread accordingly. Also, since PayPal is involved I'm guessing you can file a chargeback? Wouldn't hurt to pay 2 bucks for an escrow over a $100 deal.
1166  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Crypto-Games.net ★ 4 Years Old ★ 58.000$ wagering contest ★ on: September 15, 2018, 11:24:54 AM
Our new hardware can better handle large amount of bets so we have decide to lower dice speed limit for 30%.

Change starts with 15.9.

That's great! Now I just have to figure out why the fuck Chrome keeps getting those "Snap!" messages every 5 hours or so on your website.
That's strange. I have website opened for almost 24 hours per day without any issues. are you running autobet when you get a "snap" message?

Yes, it's always on autobet. Once every a few hours I get that "Snap!" thing and have to refresh the page.
This is probably not a website issue but the browser caches/indexDb's. Trying refreshing it with CTRL+SHIFT+R (hard refresh) which would delete the cached build files which work most of the time.
1167  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.com still not utilizing Segwit? on: September 14, 2018, 03:43:18 PM
I get it that it requires some form of complexity, but if Coinbase can do it as much larger entity in this space, blockchain shouldn't have any problems with it at all.
I wouldn't choose/advice anyone to chose coinbase over blockchain just because of the segwit benefits. I agree it's crucial but coinbase has way lot of red flags compared to blockchain.com.

From what I heard last, they're in the process of hiring new developers and the development operations are paused till then. Maybe once their hiring is done they would implement it.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crime Effect of Gambling - Your thoughts! on: September 14, 2018, 03:37:21 PM
That's not true. What kind of prostitutes and drugs would you expect around a loner's house who gambles with bitcoins? The big hotel-casinos is a different thing as they have to create that ambience for the big rollers. They're often associated with high lifestyles like cocaine, models and bg cars. It has nothing to do with gambling really.
1169  Economy / Reputation / Re: marlboroza - about the red trust - Nel.network fake team on: September 14, 2018, 03:34:16 PM
To what extent? Putting 10 hours into research is just isn't worth their time considering they will be getting paid anyway. That should be the other way around. Moreover, the bounty participants can demand escrow services from the project if they think the project could be a scam. Relying completely on a bounty manager is ignorance.

I doubt it takes 10 hours to do basic due diligence on team's background, photos, plagiarism, etc. And even if it does - they shouldn't take the job if it's not worth it. Ignorance of course is a big part of it but it's also a fact that many of those noobs see a trusted (or "trusted") name on the thread and think it's going to be ok. This is not that different from other activities that are frowned upon here: account trades, trust farming, etc.
Okay, 10 hours is hypothetical but you get the point that it is a tedious process and forces a manager to learn additional stuff like stock image searching. I don't know how much a trusted manager gets paid. Would it be enough to involve themselves in the basic due diligence? It's subjective again. My only point is, manager will be getting paid anyway so the bounty participants should make sure they do their homework before blindly following a manager.
1170  Economy / Reputation / Re: To Bounty Managers - How I do my due diligence for ICOs on: September 14, 2018, 03:18:23 PM
LinkedIn and ICOratings are not a good DD platform. I've known quite a few scams that had verified linkedin profiles; so it's better to have a vid call and also real-life events.
You know, bitcointalk is a place where people will be ready to take a shit on a live video call if paid a few satoshi's. I have experienced fake audio calls on telegram by people claiming to be the team members. Certainly wouldn't work out. Escrow, as I mentioned above will be a big saviour in disguise.
1171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Offline websites after token sales on: September 14, 2018, 03:00:56 PM
Aren't every ICO a scam?  Roll Eyes
If you look at the bigger picture and judge by their strategies, they're a pure scam. I mean who the fuck invests into something that is never going to get accepted in the real world. A white-paper is technically the heart of the project.

They raise money by promising unrealistic things and then you never hear of the site again. They just somehow get their shit-token listed on an exchange, and you never hear of them again.
Even if the tokens hit the market, the product is never released most of the times. There are a few exceptions though.

Someone should probably do a review on these, there's a slight chance that there might be false positives.
It's obvious. Isn't it?
1172  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best BTC Lottery On The Net- 100BTC First Prize on: September 14, 2018, 02:56:07 PM
I don't care how legitimate the site looks or weather they're authentic enough when there is 100BTC involved without an escrow. Let's assume for a minute the lottery is unsuccessful, who is paying the 100 BTC? Organisers won't certainly pay from their pockets. Doubt they will even refund if it doesn't work out. Until 100BTC is held in an escrow and ticket drawing is proved fair, there is no way this thing is ever going to work out.
Just i explained or said earlier those owners wont really tend to use any amounts from their own pockets because that Jackpot will always came from the pockets of its bettors itself. 200k tickets would be needed to sold out before it would make a draw.I cant imagine on how long it would be sold out which means bettors would still end up on waiting like forever and as you said even 1 minute or less seconds lottery based games nowadays do easily die.How much more on this one?
Yeah like this shit is old and I can't believe people still think such lotteries are ever going to work out. They clearly don't know the definition of a lottery or how it should be managed. Forget about drawing tickets, reaching the goal of 100 BTC will take forever.
1173  Economy / Reputation / Re: marlboroza - about the red trust - Nel.network fake team on: September 14, 2018, 02:50:26 PM
In my eyes, they are absolutely required to do their due diligence before accepting the job. Otherwise it's just willful ignorance and they should
be viewed as an accomplice to those who commit fraud.
To what extent? Putting 10 hours into research is just isn't worth their time considering they will be getting paid anyway. That should be the other way around. Moreover, the bounty participants can demand escrow services from the project if they think the project could be a scam. Relying completely on a bounty manager is ignorance.

Since there are little to almost no regulations for ICOs, does that apply to bounty managers too? They can get paid with no repercussions whatsoever, if a
project turns out be scam. Hide behind a 'Disclaimer'...that's it?
Your point being? 99.9% of bounty participants have 0 contributions to the forum.

My point is, wouldn't it be easier to have clear cut requirements/rules/ and possibly penalties for those who want manage bounties? I see a different
position taken toward different members, that ain't right either.
Nope, that is just blaming managers for managing the campaign. It's not worth their time or costs.
1174  Economy / Reputation / Re: To Bounty Managers - How I do my due diligence for ICOs on: September 14, 2018, 02:43:41 PM
I would like to add a crucial step to avoid exit scams which are out of context for the bounty managers -
Escrow : Bounty managers can either escrow a particular ETH amount in the worst case scenario such as they ICO never reaches the hard/soft cap or decides to ditch the project completely that if they're planning to pay in tokens. If x amount is escrowed with a reputed member, doesn't matter if the company ditches the project for whatever reasons, the bounty participants will get paid something for their efforts. Note that I'm talking about bounties with really good managers and not the bounty whoring army. Amount escrowed can always be used in case of unforeseen circumstances.
1175  Economy / Reputation / Re: marlboroza - about the red trust - Nel.network fake team on: September 13, 2018, 01:22:04 PM
That is not his responsibility.
So who is responsible?
To be honest I can't agree with this sentence. You don't think a managers should have minimum responsibility? I am agree if it's exit scam. No one can stop exit scammers , not important team how potential. But before start any project should search minimum. At least use Google search for picture.
And how do you define minimum responsibility? Using google search for the picture or reverse image matching doesn't count as 'minimum responsibility'.More than the managers it's responsibility of the participants to do all that knowing managers will get paid anyway but if the project turns out to be a scam, it's the bounty whores who'd suffer. I get it obvious stuff should be taken care of but usually these scammers are well spoken and professional with the managers. I wouldn't participate in a random bounty knowing if it turns out to be a scam, I wouldn't get paid but the manager would. Stop depending on spoon feeding.

1176  Economy / Services / Re: Need a Script and a very Basic website. (coin converting) on: September 13, 2018, 01:14:13 PM
This isn't easy as it looks like..I suggest you rather do it manually which is much more efficient and less time consuming. All you gotta do its check the current LTC-BTC rates and send that exact amount of money. The script rather be using some sources for conversion which may not give you the best rates. For automatically sending coins you'd need to provide private keys/other private info to the script. It hardly takes 1 minute to do this manually unless you have loads of similar transactions.
1177  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Developing a blockchain SQL database named CovenantSQL on: September 13, 2018, 01:09:18 PM
Can u please tell what use cases fits best for this database?
A lot of them depending on the problem you're trying to solve...Some of them could be
 - A public data-base where data can't be altered (immutability)
 - Some records which store history like medical records which can only be updated by not overwritten.

On the technical end, it's decentralised and hence there is no central authority over the database.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose a good casino among the many others? on: September 13, 2018, 01:06:39 PM
Offcourse promotions will attract many gamblers to the site but the most important one is they should have a good support team to help you with the issues faced during the play or either deposit or withdrawal time. Deposits and withdrawal should be fast then many gamblers may like it because most of the don't like to wait. I don't like to play these games on mobile instead prefer to play on the desktop. It depends on individual interest.
Most of the time, most of the sites coming with unrealistic promotions are scammers. I wouldn't play on a website just because they have a great promotion and zero reputation in the market.

I do agree that provably fair is now the standard industry benchmark when it comes to crypto/Bitcoin. We have the technology, so it should be used. Cryptographic hashes lets us all prove beyond a doubt that we are playing at a fair place. Which is why normal non-provaby fair casinos are actually something we should just ignore and allow to die.
Well..online casinos should implement provable fair mechanisms as generally accepted by the online gamblers. Every site claims to be fair but not provable fair and that makes a big difference..

1180  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Developing a blockchain SQL database named CovenantSQL on: September 13, 2018, 12:58:30 PM
Guys, I'm developing a blockchain SQL database named CovenantSQL.

https://github.com/CovenantSQL/CovenantSQL

so, any question?
Beautiful! Which is the core language of the entire project? By putting it on blockchain, do you remove the central authority completely? I know BigChainDb does it to a certain extent by your architecture seems more complicated. Would a developer have to learn an additional language to use this or the syntax remains the same as conventional SQL?
