2201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In which ICO to invest ? on: November 04, 2021, 02:06:00 PM
Hi everyone

we hear less about ICOs than a few years ago. I Know that several website exist where we can find information about the next ICO, but who is going to invest in some of them in the following weeks ? Which one and why ?

thanks Smiley

I would say that the days of the traditional ICOs, where  projects collected a huge amount of money like the filecoin ICO or the Tezos ICO back in 2017 or so are pretty over. Nowadays we are having private sales and public sales that are collecting way less money then back then but of course are more exclusive and for most of them you have to join one of those private sale groups or launchpads like DuckDao, Poolz or Polkastarter. For each of those launchpads you have to own their native token so it is almost impossible to be part of every launchpad because that would be extremely expensive. So you just have to choose for yourself.
2202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 04, 2021, 12:58:41 PM
I was surprised to see there isn't any discussion happening about this latest ridiculousness from Jake Paul.  It seems there always has to be a gimmick involved when he's fighting.

Personally, I think Tommy Fury is going to knock him out in the first 2 rounds, but I didn't think he'd win the last fight either...

December 18th...

I have already seen videos about this fight on youtube but i did not click on them because honestly i am already fed up with all those exhibition matches that are happening at the moment, even Oscar de la Hoya wants to fight again as soon as he has recovered from Covid, as if he has not made enough money already during his career... pretty pathetic. Of course it was floyd mayweather that started this trend with his fight against McGregor.
I have never seen a fight of Tommy Fury but from what i have read of him so far he is still in the beginning of his career and only fought weak opponents so far, but i also think that still is the favorite in this fight.
2203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with the hype on: November 04, 2021, 12:53:14 PM
We have had several hyped coins and token lately and many have been a victim of hyped projects that ended up crashing in not long after attaining a very little profit margin. Been extremely careful with how we go about our analysis will help save a lot. Just wondering why developers would come up with nice projects only to crash after a short while keeping investors in losses.

Well your thread is not really anything new and this topic has been brought up probably at least 20 times this week but i still think your point is valid and that i also needs to be repeated here in this forum and everywhere else. Don't buy into this meme-coin craze or if you desperately want to do so at least only invest money that you can't afford to lose and that you have already written off. The chances that you are investing into another Shiba Inu are extremely slim to non existant anymore because every day there are so many new sh*t-coin projects coming up that the market is just over saturated of them already.
2204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What About Dogelon , The next DOGE or SHIBA? on: November 03, 2021, 03:28:52 PM
Token tokens appear with a large supply, this is quite imitating Doge.
I saw that there was 1 token, namely dogelon moon and I got it for free by claiming at https://www.dogelonmoon.com/

What do you think?

That whole meme-coin madness needs to stop now...yes it is true that some people made some extremely high profit that were life-changing with Shiba Inu in the last few months but since then everything just got out of hands with those stupid meme-coins. Every day there are appearing at least a few dozens of new meme-coins, just because it takes like 30 Minutes to create one. You just create another Doge-coin clone and and buy a website template for 20 Bucks and that's it you have created your own meme-project. Everyone should know by now, that there won't be another meme-coins success like SHIBA INU for a few years.
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 03, 2021, 10:30:44 AM
Ronaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldo… He became the hero of the match played last night. As hopes were dashed at Manchester United, he brought the draw with a great shot. Atalanta lost the win very unfortunately. Duvan Zapata plays a great game in Atalanta. He's doing very well in the league, too. He could be on the transfer list of bigger teams next year.

Yes it was really very unfortunate for Atalanta to get that second goal of Ronaldo while already being in the extra time, they were pretty unlucky twice in a row now against Manchester United and every time it was Ronaldo that scored that last goal. It's pretty weird to me that ManU must rely on luck two times in a row against a club like Atalanta. I know that Bergamo made some great progress in the last few years but they are still quite a mile away from the european top clubs like ManCity, PSG or Bayern, which also indicates to me that Manchester United is also not even close to those clubs at the moment.
2206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if country has fully adopted crypto and they are releasing their own stablecoin on: November 03, 2021, 10:00:29 AM
I was wondering about this. many people want to encourage crypto adoption in their country. but whether when adoption happens they will use it. or they are more comfortable using FIAT.

an example is a country has fully adopted crypto and they released their own stablecoin. they also legalize some other big crypto coins like bitcoin, ethereum, and some stablecoins like USDT or DAI. and you become one of the citizens of that country. which one will you use for daily transactions. stablecoins issued by your country's central bank, or mainstream crypto coins like bitcoin. or privately released stablecoins such as tether. or keep using cash because you are used to it. and give the reason why you chose that coin.

Pretty tough question for me to be honest. So far i still see cryptos only as an investment asset or as an ecosystem that privides a lot of functionality and possibilities for developers to create Apps on top on like Games for example. If my country would introduce an official crypto stable coin that is pegged to my national currency then i am not really sure if that would change anything? It would probably mean that you have to transfer the "real" currency, for example Euros, to get the equivalent amount of crypto-Euros on your wallet. So i don't really see the benefit for having a crypto euro then. What would make a different is, if the normal euro would completely disagree, but i don't think that will ever happen.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 02, 2021, 06:14:08 PM

The most important match for Barcelona will be against Benfica, but you are right that if Barcelona do not win today it will mean a 99% drop out of the Champions League. Another question is whether it makes sense for Barcelona to go to the playoff stage, where it is likely to be destroyed by any top club.
As for Bayern, the odds that they will score at least 3 goals today are 1.56  Smiley Bayern are showing such performance that such odds seem adequate.

Given that Bayern will win today than Barcelona really also needs todays game or otherwise they desperately need a win in the next game against Benfica. I also think though that Barca would still have a chance even if they are behind Benfica before the last matchday because by then i would guess that Bayern is already qualified for the next stage and therefore could play with some younger and inexperienced players which should definitely increase the chances of Barca to win that match. It would also mean though that Benfica would probably need to lose against Kiew in their last match so the best for Barca would be to win the next 2 matches.
2208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 'Squid Game' cryptocurrency scams $2 million on: November 02, 2021, 06:08:23 PM
On Oct. 26 a coin called $SQUID was launched by a group with no affiliation to the creators of the hit Netflix show -- the first red flag. As memecoins sometimes do, it exploded in growth. After listing at 12 cents, on early Monday morning it briefly hit a peak of $2,800.

Then, as memecoins are also known for doing, it all crashed. In an instant, the price fell to one third of one cent, where it remains at time of writing.

So the question is how people still believe in all that stuff? Smiley Easy money is very hard to catch. Especially while there are coins like Crypton privacy coin, which gained 50% right after the new listing and gained 50% more in the next 2 days.. People still look for some scams on their own. OMG, will it ever end?

I just hope that everyone that invests in such meme-coins or sh*it-coins only invest an amount of money that they really can afford to lose without it having any impact on the daily life of the investor, because in crypto in general and especially with meme-coins the risk is extremely high that you lose all of your money and i also think that now the chance to hit another meme-coin that will moon like Shiba-inu did a few weeks ago is not exitsent anymore, so i would advice anyone to stay away from meme-coins now. The worst thing that can happen is a scam like the guys from Squid did and the other possibility is that the project is just dead in a few weeks which also results in a total loss of your investment.
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 02, 2021, 11:53:39 AM
The Bayern Munich - Freiburg match this weekend can be a really interesting one. Of course, Bayern Munich are still the favourite team by far. But who knows, maybe Freiburg will surprise us like E. Frankfurt did. They are only 3 points behind Bayern Munich and at the 3rd place. Interestingly, Freiburg never were able to beat Bayern Munich away in their history. I wonder whether this will be the first. But I'm still favoring Bayern Munich highly.

As you already said, Bayern is still the huge favorite here, as they are in every match in the bundesliga even if they play against dortmund because the gap between the quality of the individual players of bayern and the rest of the bundesliga (including Dortmund) is just very big in my opinion. The timing could be great for Freiburg though this time. So far they seem very stable and they have the best defense of all Bundesliga clubs so far this season. So if they manage to get an early lead they could be able to get that 1 goal lead over the 90 minutes to win. Bayern on the other hand seems kind of shaky in the defense at the moment. I am still 90% sure though that bayern will win.
2210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: November 02, 2021, 11:50:18 AM
A few statistics: 8,000 US dollars, 400 days, 5 billion, the most awesome investment. This is SHIB.

I think you are referring to that transaction ID that gets posted all the time now during the last few days. It is not true that someone bought 8000$ worth of SHIB and now it is worth 5 Billion, it was a transaction of a Dev-Wallet. To your question, if SHIB can reach 0.1 $ per token... no way that is possible. This would be more than another x1000 from here on and it would also mean that the market cap of Shiba Inu would be a multitude higher than that of bitcoin. In my opinion we won't see higher prices of SHIBA inu anymore, in the end we have to be objective here and see waht SHIBA really is. Just another sh*t-coin with zero functionality.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling increase due to the pandemic, stats, UK on: November 02, 2021, 10:08:15 AM
The pandemic have been an extremely stressful event for the world and most people are having problems regarding jobs, money or something else or the other. The government has started implementing regulations in a way that it would not only profit them, but they are also gaining a lot of money from various activities and on the top we have Gambling.

Not only that the reports go deep so as how people took the personal experience.

Quote
However, many wished to reduce the amount of time they spend gambling, with 43% of those who gamble at least once a month expressing this desire, while 57% of the everyday gamblers also wanted to curb the habit — but at the same time, 42% stated they had no idea how to go about it.

Those stats are not really surprising as it is just in the nature of the people to get themself entertained and busy, because they don't know how to relax and do nothing anymore and because they could not go out of the house to do something outside they just looked for other stuff that they could do from their homes. Gaming also experienced a big increased during the pandemic and a lot of people also got themself a pet, so it's no wonder that also the gambling activity increased quite a bit during the lockdown.
The second stat that you posted is quite concerning for me, because the majority of people is saying that they want to reduce their gambling times. I'm pretty sure that a good chunk of those will not be able to reduce their gambling.
2212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIBA Fever on: November 02, 2021, 09:59:10 AM
66 projects were named after SHIBA INU including two exchange ShibaSwap and Shibance.

Other than very few, none has got good volume. Just with a dog 🐶 why is this hype. Compared to the marketcap Shiba at present is constituting around 1.7% which is big from a memecoin. This kind of coins will surely disturb the market in the long term for different reasons.

That is just another example and i would say a very shocking and sad example, of how stupid and hype based the crypto market is and i would not even call them projects, because they are just blatant copy and paste tokens with 0 effort put in and i am glad that most of them have zero trading volume and no future. I also think that it is time for all those crypto overview sites like coinmarketcap and coingecko to stop listing those projects immediately because it just blows up those sites and makes it harder to find the real projects that have a use case and that are trying to do something new. Once those meme-coins survive a week or two then they can be listed.
2213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 01, 2021, 02:16:32 PM
Mercedes said past days "will we go up with horsepowers if needed, we take the risk of breaking the engine if necessary".

And next GP in Mexico with high altitude and less oxygen in the air it will be the benchmark for the end of the season...

I heard an interview of Damon Hill a few days ago and he also said that the engine of mercedes, especially the turbo charger is much more fragile and sensible in comparison to the other engine manufacturers and that the high altitude and therefore the thin air that the teams have to deal with will be another big additional load for the engines. That is why i don't really think that mercedes will open the engines completely in the next race the risk would just be way to high to harm the engine and to have to retire the car. They will treat the engines carefully in Mexico and then in the races afterwards they will risk more in my opinion.
2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and BSC on: November 01, 2021, 02:09:18 PM
One of the reasons why binance smart chain becomes this big right now is because ethereum gas fee is very high and this force some projects to switch to BSC but what do you think will happen once ethereum gas fee goes lower in near few months? Will BSC faced same fate as binance DEX? Or BSC will remain the better option over ethereum?

It all depends on the ETH fees in my opinion. If the Ethereum team manages to manage to make a smooth transition from PoW to PoS and everything works and intended and hoped then i think that we will definitely see a bigger adoption of the ETH chain for projects again. I don't think though that BSC will completely disappear again it will stay relevant in my opinion. It seems like a smart idea for new projects to have their token both on the Ethereum Network and also on the binance Smart chain network because that way you are very flexible and you allow your users to trade and to operate on your ecosystem even if one chain is not useable at the moment.
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 31, 2021, 11:21:04 PM
Those are days when fixed matches are very common around in all sports. Now this has decreased a lot, due to the technology advancement. Earlier small signs were noted for fixed matches. With the present technology uplifting it is easy to identify these activities of players. Once I participated in such a match, and won the game. During the year around 2000 match fixing was quite common in most of the sports.

I also think that fixed matches are a thing of the past, at least in the top leagues of the "big" sports like football (both american and european), basketball and so on. It would just cost too much money to fix a match in the english premier league or the german bundesliga in football or some basketball match in the USA. What i can imagine though is that people with a lot of money can still try to manipulate matches in the 3rd or 4th division of football in the big football countries like England, Germany, Spain, Italy and so on. You can also bet on those games and therefore it would be probably the best opportunity for criminals to fix a match.
2216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will shiba inu coin beat bitcoin ? on: October 31, 2021, 11:16:54 PM
will shiba inu coin beat bitcoin or eth ? will  it take a top 5 spot ?

No one can look into the future and therefore it is always risky to give a clear answer on stuff that no one can know for sure at the moment but i would take the risk and say that i am 100% sure that Shiba Inu will never take the number 1 spot of all cryptos away from Bitcoin. If that should ever happen i will sell every piece of crypto that i own and will never invest into crypto again because that would be just too much nonsense for me. Shiba Inu offers nothing new it is a blatant copy of Dogecoin and it does not deserve to be a top 10 coin, so in my opinion it will not reach a top 5 rank and i also think that i will slowly fall down the market cap ladder.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: October 31, 2021, 01:03:18 PM

Right, it's good to put some sats on Sultan here, that is a great odds for us.

And what if it he really upsets Caraballo in this fight, a win-win for us. And it will be good to see another Filipino in the bantamweight division and maybe in the future because of this win, he can aligned and fight for the world title. So Jonas better not disappoint his Filipino fans here, Lol.

Seems like you have done everything right with your bet. Contratulations to that. To be honest i wasn't even aware that this fight happens and i did not know both fighters before that fight because i am not that much into boxing and i don't usually watch the fights of the lower weight divisions, but i found the highlight reel of this fight today in my youtube recommendations and i was surprised about the punching power of Sultan. In the bantam division u usually see a series of very fast but not so strong punches and not that many knockdowns but sultan has some serious punching power and all of his knock downs were pretty much one punch out of nowhere..pretty impressive.
2218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment poll on: October 31, 2021, 12:57:34 PM
Dear Members, I am planning to invest $1000 to buy few risky coins with a good possibility to grow. From your perspective, which of the above coins have better potential to grow. Would you split $200 between each of the coins or rather buy 1-2 projects? You may vote for few projects. Thanks

I voted for "None of those" like almost everyone that answered the poll before. The reason for that is quite simple, you only listed meme-coins, or as many call it sh*t-coins. I know you said you want to invest in "risky" projects but that does not automatically mean that they have to be another sh*it-coin with zero functionality. You need to be aware that 99% of those meme-coins will be dead pretty soon so this would mean a total loss of your investment. Yes it is true that Shiba Inu made a lot of early investors very rich but that was an exception and all those meme-coin copies that are appearing now each and everyday will have no chance to repeat that.
2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 30, 2021, 04:46:16 PM
Top 3 teams won again. Although Haaland is unavailable Dortmund won by scoring two goals. They went to the conclusion with Hazard and Tigges against Cologne, one of the middle rank teams of the league. Cologne players shot a lot but couldn't find the goal. This is a fair score.
Freiburg played well from the start and took a comfortable win over Greuther Fürth. Bayern München, on the other hand, forgot the defeat in the cup match and got a nice away win with five goals. Lewandowski added two more goals to take the lead in top scorer. It's always a pleasure to watch him.

I was really curious how Bayern would perform today after their historic 0-5 defeat against Gladbach in the DFB-Pokal on wednesday and i really expected them to have serious troubles in today's match again but they managed to beat Union Berlin in a quite convincing way even though it was obvious again that there defense is not really stable at the moment. Also freiburg just keeps winning which really makes me happy as it is just a very likeable club.
2220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why LTC stuck on same price range? on: October 30, 2021, 04:42:02 PM
LTC accepted all over the world but it's price still low
same as last 4 years
why it's stuck on same price range?

LTC is just a good example of a solid and well established altcoin project that is not in the focus of a lot of people at the moment. There are many projects like that out there that were top 20 or even top 10 projects 1 or 2 years ago but in the bullrun of this year they got overtaken by new projects that are in everyones focus at the moment like Solana and polkadot for example. Just take a look at IOTA, it was also a top 10 coin 2 or 3 years ago and now it is slowly drifting out of the top 50.
