2201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin-wide DDOS attack - NOT GOX SCAMMING! on: February 12, 2014, 03:45:13 PM
Well to be fair Matt, after the December crash to $400 then stalling in the $600's for a few days you as well as me expected continued low prices. The nutters as you like to call them kept saying buy now because it's going to rise swiftly, and your response back then was the same today. Fuck me if it didn't almost hit $1000 within a month, and fuck me for not listening to them instead of the bears here, which I was certainly one of.
Bottom line is you aren't always right, and they aren't always wrong. No one knows what is going to happen, thinking you got it figured out is foolish.
2202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just sold my bitcoin... on: February 12, 2014, 03:17:05 AM
It's been mid-high $600s all day. I'm still waiting for the real crash, one that lasts more than 5 seconds.
2203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just sold my bitcoin... on: February 12, 2014, 02:20:36 AM
I just sold all my bitcoin (not much lol) hoping for a dip..

How low do you think it will go and at what price should I buy it back?
I think you made the right choice but I'm a terrible trader and have made nothing but mistakes. I recently sold mine in the low $700s and am looking to buy at or below $600. The thing is patience, which has always been my problem. I'm still not sure what feels worse, selling only to see the price rise and leave you behind for days/weeks or buying and seeing the price go to shit.
I think it's important to stand behind your decision, don't buy back in higher - wait it out. If you buy, don't sell for a loss. You don't lose anything unless you commit. Much easier said than done, but this market is so volatile at this stage it's bound to come around again. It's not like you are losing any interest by not holding for a while. The nice thing about not holding is you don't have to worry about collapse, however unlikely that is.
And yeah, ignore the nutters who got in at a few bucks or less, they aren't in our shoes.
2204  Economy / Speculation / Re: My prediction- Bitcoin under 550 on: February 11, 2014, 11:38:31 PM
Why the hell would you want to do that? when things are fine the price is high.
2205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase will be next to halt withdrawals by Friday.. on: February 11, 2014, 11:15:12 PM
Stop people. The guys a troll who made a lucky guess. There is nothing statistically odd about that.
There is when the one time he decided to troll he was right on the money. I don't believe btc is done either, but that prediction was pretty freaky.
2206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase will be next to halt withdrawals by Friday.. on: February 11, 2014, 10:37:58 PM
Bitcoinsteve did call it going to $100 on sunday and everyone laughed at him... And then we all know what happened on BTCe...

That's a pretty spot on prediction, I'd like to see anyone else try to beat it.

That was pure luck, not talent.

I thought that had to be the answer too, then I scanned through every post Steve has made. In all 70, there isn't a single other prediction. No retarded constant fud bs like Fonzie and bitcoinlickme do, just a bunch of normal posts not having anything really to do with speculating.
That ain't luck, the sob called the freak price and he called the f'n day.
2207  Economy / Speculation / Re: how many coins went for 100 usd today on: February 11, 2014, 06:57:22 PM
I was right about my plummet thread.

No.
I'll bite, how was he not right?
2208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit < 100$ on: February 10, 2014, 08:05:37 PM
Why are you people saying that bitcoin is dead and over? You do realize that Mt Gox is just a criminally incompetent bunch of fucktards attempting to hide their fraud, right? Bitcoin isn't dead, so stop with the FUD already.

They just want cheap coins, many of these guys probably own less than 5-10 coins and are desperate to increase their stash (which tells you how they really feel). Sad that many will end up with less than they started with.

no one longer wants any coin by any price, game is over.

LOL. So you really are being serious? People are still buying in, the price seems somewhat more stable than it was, Gox made clear that they are thieves, and the world is still turning.

just look, every day the price is lower, starting from decembar 2013 year.  Wink
Gosh, a whole 6 weeks ago? holy crap you're right, game over - close the windows and turn on the gas.  Roll Eyes
2209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will any long term holders admit to cashing out or wanting to cash out? on: February 10, 2014, 06:44:42 PM
Alright, sorry I missed that. I'm a bit irritated I missed $530 by an hour, but looks like I may have a shot at lower than that.
2210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will any long term holders admit to cashing out or wanting to cash out? on: February 10, 2014, 03:42:00 PM

2211  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTCE TESTS 100!!! bounces back to 580. on: February 10, 2014, 01:47:52 PM
I'm not a trader, someone please explain how this was possible.
2212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crashing Bitcoin on: February 07, 2014, 08:55:02 AM
Price is tanking boys, each for it's own! Run! Even my dog thinks we're gonna see 300s.

If we see 300s bitcoin is just about done. Unfortunate but true, would take a long long time to recover from that psychologically speaking.

LOLOLOL

hahahahaha

 Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin

Yep. Just like Bitcoin was done in Autumn 2011.

 Roll Eyes

Yeah, pretty stupid statement. $300 would be a dream come true for those late.
Those that think bitcoin is "done" during a dip have no understanding of what we are dealing with.
2213  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN CRASHING on: February 07, 2014, 08:26:11 AM
I got some of that sweet sweet $712 BTC
Not looking that sweet now..
2214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another proof of a screwed up ecosystem on: February 07, 2014, 08:14:59 AM
He's too busy whining about his coins losing value I guess?
2215  Economy / Speculation / Re: And who is buying now? on: February 07, 2014, 08:11:40 AM
Me, if it hits $600. Hope it does soon so I can go to bed.
2216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another proof of a screwed up ecosystem on: February 07, 2014, 08:06:36 AM
Shut the hell up, this shit is what makes bitcoin exciting. Go watch the stock market and precious metals if you like watching paint dry so much.
2217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running 3 r9 280x cards with one 7970 on: February 02, 2014, 09:15:21 PM
I checked the AMD site and the drivers are the same for the 79xx series and r9 2xx series, anyone know why I can't get cgminer to recognize my 7970 when I replace one of the 280x cards with it?
2218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much will it be worth (mining rig) on: February 02, 2014, 06:16:18 PM
That's a good estimation if scrypt alts are worth in April what they are now. Otherwise, people will dump their hardware and you can get screwed.

I would not hesitate myself to give you 1500€ (~$2000) in hand for your (I assume) 4 Mh/s rig, assembled, tested and working.
I'm sure you would considering the going rate is $1/kh for a working rig.  Roll Eyes
2219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Running 3 r9 280x cards with one 7970 on: February 02, 2014, 01:00:36 AM
I tried to add a 7970 ghz edition card I took from my 7950 rig to my 3 280x card rig and couldn't get any video out of it nor did cgminer recognize it. Do I need to run the drivers for the 79xx series? if I do that will it mess up/conflict with the drivers I have already run for my 280x cards? Sorry if this is a dumb question, new at this.
2220  Economy / Speculation / Re: January 31st, the Downfall of Bitcoin on: February 01, 2014, 12:18:31 AM
My prediction will come true.
And when it does, I expect a donation from everyone here.
Otherwise I will never again share insider information with you guys Wink .

Prediction fail.  This morning the sun rose (except in China where it is too polluted unfortunately). Bitcoins spiked up and then settled at $800.  Man, was I disappointed. If it went up, great!  If it went down, also great!  But it did a big fat nothing.

the 31st isnt over yet
Now it is, now it is my friend.

I obviously meant the 31st of January, 2015. Not 2014.
Silly you!

(Proudhon please confirm this).
Wtf are you still doing posting? find another cause, you certainly have no aptitude to understand this one. Consider yourself on my ignore list, it consists of 1.
