Now that the MTGOX chains have been broken from Bitcoin...let Bitcoin RISE!....RISE CHICKUN RISE! Grin Grin Grin
I don't think it's that easy. The US gov is going to say "wait a minute" and take a good long look at this. Stay tuned, things will get interesting, I see very cheap coins in the future.

Okay go sell and hope for lower prices.

No one said price would go high really fast....growth takes time.

I predict a new ATH by end of July 2014.
I'm not selling anything, I only have a few coins anyway. I'm still waiting for cheap coins, then I will buy in.

Bitcoin dumps don't happen like that, they happen right when bad news comes out then bounce back. Are you really new to this or just a dumbshit?
2124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is down by half its value... Strange things are going on. on: February 25, 2014, 05:50:42 PM
We went from $140 to $1163 in a two month period late in 2013.

It's only early 2014 and we are retesting some of these numbers.

Strange things are always going on with Bitcoin. It's a disruptive technology.

People are trying to put a square peg (bitcoin) into a round hole (traditional methods for handling money), and they are getting burned in the process.

That's what makes it interesting. Traditional investments and bets bore the shit out of me.
2125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins Keep getting lower... on: February 25, 2014, 03:23:58 PM
A whole $80? why bother?
2126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't Buy now at $400-$500, It's a Chinese Art-of-War PUMP on: February 25, 2014, 03:21:56 PM
Ok, let's see if you are right, you were already wrong at least once when you said $300 last night. If you are wrong again, just put you in the retard ignore camp with igor, fonzie and bitcoinlitecoindicklickercoin. I always give chickinlittle's a chance until they are proven to be dead wrong.
2127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox dead, BitStamp freefall, no resistance. $250 Bitcoin this week on: February 25, 2014, 08:16:33 AM
I agree, I don't think people realize just how bad this is. The main thing is people will not trust money on the exchanges. I am highly considering pulling off the money I have on campbx, as I just don't trust any of these exchanges anymore.

People will also lose trust like me and not want to keep so much cash on the exchanges. This will be very bad as there needs to be a lot of cash on the exchanges to drive the price up of a very expensive bitcoin at $500 each.

Honestly, it is a sure bet to go lower at this point.

I've been selling all my alts for the last few minutes.. The only coins I'm going to hold now are the 5 I have clients for.

Forget this mining on multipool and stacking 100's of alts on 5 different exchanges.. This shit is nuts. Time to get some coins safe, cash out the rest and come back in a year from now to see how it played out.
Your gonna regret panic selling your coins Bob. Sell high buy low, remember?
2128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Estimate Bottom Price on: February 25, 2014, 07:39:39 AM
I think we just saw it for tonight at least, $400 bitstamp.
2129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins Keep getting lower... on: February 25, 2014, 07:38:11 AM

Price was over 1000 and now price is 450 - 460 !!

HOLY SHIT, BETTER PANIC!!

crickets
2131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that Gox is dead, shouldn't we have a rally? on: February 25, 2014, 04:23:06 AM
One of the reason the other exchange's prices are depressed was the belief that Gox will resume withdraw, which caused cheap coins being picked up at gox to be dumped elsewhere.  Now that Gox seems to have lost everything, shouldn't we have a massive rally now that this 'phantom' dump will no longer take place.
This also means:

1) There are fewer coins than people thought there were, thus supply is reduced. All the coins believed held at Mt Gox probably didn't exist and were already in circulation.

2) People have fewer coins than they wanted to have, thus demand is increased. Everyone who thought they had coins at Mt Gox now knows they probably don't.

Both these factors should put upward pressure on the price. The downward movement is irrational. (Unless Gox is dumping Bitcoins on Bitstamp.)

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Likely this is a temporary downward pressure and as those who panic sell off (whether or not GOX) will eventually not have any more coins to sell.

Cheap coins!
So you buying right now or waiting for a lower price?
2132  Economy / Speculation / Re: gox offline ? done? on: February 25, 2014, 04:06:53 AM
They accepted fiat all the way to the end. Karpeles and anyone in on this crime should be fucking hanged in town square. White collar criminals, nothing more.

2136  Economy / Speculation / Re: A ramp is near... on: February 23, 2014, 12:36:33 AM
I can feel it starting. Gox about to allow withdrawals soon. The bears capitulating and worriers turn into speculators, more fearful of missing out on the next big ramp.
+1 Most smart people have been buying Gox Btc like their no tommarow, peorsonally had a friend buy 30k worth at .33 percent. Btc builder is already up to 0.4. its coming just wait. Remember in BTC world 1 month= 1 year
You have a friend who sent Gox $30k? I hope he can afford this likely loss. I disagree about the "smart" part of your statement, but we shall see...
2137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Amazing daily analysis on cryptocurrencies from China on: February 22, 2014, 03:56:37 PM
What does he think about Bitstamp? Will it go under 500?
He mentioned Bitstamp a few days ago. In his opinion, Bitstamp is much more reliable than MT for the time being, at least it's not cheating. As for the price, it's hard to say right now.
He doesn't climb out on much of a limb with that one.
I wonder why he like IFC so much? a look at it's chart since inception is pretty unimpressive.

Good question, why does he favor IFC so much? I collected the author's statements in the poster and translated them into English, the full analysis on IFC is here:
http://www.bit-sky.com/index.php/english/357-20140222-17-15-special-analysis-on-ifc
IFC:

Max money supply: 90,600,000,000

Price: 0.00048 RMB right now (www.bter.com)

Block time: 30 seconds

As you can see, IFC has a gigantic issue size, an extremely low price and can be confirmed quickly.

IFC enjoys good popularity in China. There are a lot of IFC websites, forums, and even TV advertisements.

Most important, its mining is coming to an end, only few coins are mined out everyday. This way, the price of IFC will not be pressed by the selling of newly-mined coins, it can rise with much more ease.

For BTC, newly-mined coins everyday is about 1.6 million dollars, Litecoin 400,000 dollars, Doge 400,000 dollars. For a coin without the selling of newly-mined coins, the price is difficult to fall. On the flip side, even a small amount of buying can pull up the price. As a result, the market maker will be able to pull up the price easily and make much profit.

The author detected the existence of a market maker (on a big Chinese trading platform www.bter.com) in December last year, and successfully predicted his movement of pulling the price from 0.00051 to 0.0097 within 10 hours. Then the market maker somewhat stopped pulling (he is supposed to pull higher and attract new buyers), and began to act against the author, he turned around to lower the price in order to absorb more coins, I guess the reason is that the market maker suddenly saw the poster.

The author possesses 1.5 billon coins, together with his readers’ buying, there are about 10 billion coins. This is the main reason why the market maker acted against him, he wants to grab the coins out of his hands.

From January 27 to today, the price of IFC has been going down continuously for 25 days. It doesn\'t fall with BTC, neither does it rise with Doge, it behaved abnormally and began to dive recently(see the chart below),now the price is lower than the market maker’s position-building cost. It is a golden opportunity to buy in!

Despite the author’s favor on IFC, he now seems to be sick and tired of playing mind games with the market maker.

IFC also has its drawbacks, worry about its hashing power, risk of 51% attack, etc.. The author suggested 10% allocation of your money on this coin. You may lose, of course. Anyway, what we are playing is probability.

Thanks for all that info. That price chart resembles most alt coins right now, so not sure why IFC should stand out as something special, but what do I know.

2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Anyone order an ALPHA TECHNOLOGY asics scrypt miner? on: February 22, 2014, 01:01:46 AM
Seems like a huge risk, esp buying for inflated prices on 1st batch off Ebay. MAYBE they will be here in a few months, but what will the crypto scene look like then? Doge's 100 billion will already be mined out, and everything else is looking like crap profit wise right now. Since Doge halved, coin shifting pools like Middlecoin profits have gone to less than half what they were.
