Most likely yes, but not today. I wonder though if hitting $266 will have a significant psychological impact on the markets at this point, since it's pretty clear that we're still stuck in this long bear trend.
Bitcoin's star is fading, and let's face it, there just really isn't much to be excited about right now. Sentiment is low. When [large company x] accepts bitcoin, it's like, ho hum, no big deal. In 2013 that would be huge news!
Now it's like, the Twinklevoss twins are still working on their ETF. Yes, any day now...
Personally I could give a shit about a bitcoin ETF, so I'm pretty sure nobody else in the general public cares either. That's where we're at.
definitely, whenever I think something, I always assume *everybody* thinks exactly the same as me! the world is so confusing to me if I consider any other possibilities!  Aren't you the guy who this morning claimed that the drop was over at $297 and that we'd be $100,000 by the end of this year? Yeah... don't really care what you have to think. edit: I found it! -exchange operators
-only the best traders
and nobody else.
I assure you I am none of these, but I'm up $10k+ trading altcoins. I consider myself a terrible altcoin trader, I should be up $1m. |

You should watch the '90's Letterman interview with Gates, where Gates tries to explain the internet to a baffled Letterman. All 3 of these men are very intelligent, just on different subjects. How much has Gates invested in BTC again? Or are you extrapolating from his comment on blockchain technology, i.e. crypto in general? Who knows? Who cares? neither of these guys need to worry about whether btc succeeds, why would Gates bother buying any? as far as what he's said about btc, dyor. |

I'm waiting for another spike in btc price for alts to pick up steam again, which may or may not happen (but I think it will). Right now it's just way too easy to lose, with pretty much no coins pumping like they were last winter/spring - so risk/reward is too low for the gamble. Sad to say but if alt trading volume doesn't improve drastically I've bought my last alt.
As far as whether they are worthless/pointless, they can make a lot of btc which in turn can make a lot of fiat. That's about it.

Bitcoin saved my life by getting me out of the USA where I can find doctors that care more about health than wealth.
Which country is that? Maybe I can move there, at least for my children. Really almost any other country. What country is that? >$26 cash for an office visit with little wait and lab/radiology costs less than that. You've either moved to a country with subsidized medical care, in which case gg bro, or your doctor is about to put you under, take out your kidneys & sell them. In which case lol.
