2101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chooo, chooo! Everyone agrees, it's reversal time! ... except for Bitfinex. on: February 28, 2014, 06:11:04 PM
Joe comes in all colors. The point is for every dollar made on every rise there is a dollar lost. That's why people call this a Ponzie scheme, we aren't betting on anything but vapor. So, do you think pros gave money to pros or Joe gave money to pros on that rise? my bet is Joe was the main buyer up top.
You know I'm right Matt, you've said it all in prior posts. This has been a game to make money off Joe for quite awhile now. Underneath it all is some really cool shit though, which is why I'm interested and trying to gather coins cheaply for the long term. If I thought this was really nothing more than a scheme I'd never have looked twice at it.
2102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chooo, chooo! Everyone agrees, it's reversal time! ... except for Bitfinex. on: February 28, 2014, 06:03:56 PM
No pro is going to get caught holding $1k coins, so yeah - I think Joe had a lot to do with that rise.
2103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chooo, chooo! Everyone agrees, it's reversal time! ... except for Bitfinex. on: February 28, 2014, 05:47:32 PM
Your friends and family are right to be concerned, they don't want you knocking on their doors broke asking for help lol. They represent the general public, whom btc needs for any serious rise. Saying traders will cause an increase is like saying used car lots can exist selling to each other. You need Joe Blow and his cash to raise the market, anyone who doesn't get that is pretty clueless.
2104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chooo, chooo! Everyone agrees, it's reversal time! ... except for Bitfinex. on: February 28, 2014, 05:26:02 PM
Sure he does, you think the November spike was holders and early adopters? Joe Blow is either doing 1 of 2 things, and neither of them is buying right now.
I doubt we will see $400 again in the next few days, but this choo choo train shit is pure denial.
2105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chooo, chooo! Everyone agrees, it's reversal time! ... except for Bitfinex. on: February 28, 2014, 05:19:12 PM
Huh-uh. Most that are still in are not going to pay $600/btc - they are not starry-eyed, that would be Joe Blow when he sees the price spike. I don't think any rational person into btc really thinks this whole Mtcocks thing is over and done with and on the train we go. Some here say they are but are they talking their book? We are going down again.
2106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chooo, chooo! Everyone agrees, it's reversal time! ... except for Bitfinex. on: February 28, 2014, 06:17:19 AM
Not sure why you are short term bullish, Joe Blow is out for now, this shit is going down again soon.
2107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are new bitcoiners too late to the party? (or is this still he early stages?) on: February 27, 2014, 08:58:29 PM
Do you walk into the Chicago Mercantile Exchange or the New York stock exchange and ask this crap?

This is a financial asset. It is not a party, and it never was a party. If you want to party, put on a bowtie,  pick up a hooker, and go to PF Chang's. In the meantime, get out of my face with this total garbage!

Regards,
Bullshit, this is a freaking party. Whenever that price crashes to hell I get some beer and watch it like it's the superbowl with my team playing or a realy good mma fight. The difference is you can make a shitload of money if you buy in right.
2108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would now be a time to buy if you had not already? (560 ish) on: February 27, 2014, 05:23:59 PM
I would buy a few and top up over time to smooth out the timing risk

Fundamentally though not a bad entry level
Since late November sub $600 is a good price to get in. If btc goes to $5k or even $2k this year the nominal difference between entry at $400 and $600 won't matter one bit to the lucky holder. On the other hand, depending on your finances it could make a big difference in how much btc you buy.
2109  Economy / Speculation / 1` on: February 27, 2014, 05:15:50 PM

Agree, assuming that wave C is at least as large as wave A then it's quite possible that we will revisit sub-$300 levels before the recovery. Scary! Awesome!
2110  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH, $5,500...coming soon on: February 27, 2014, 05:06:41 PM
$5500 this year is completely delusional. I really hope someone ends up posting my response to prove me wrong, but thinking that will happen is, again, delusional.

To be fair people were saying 1200 was delusional.

people probably thought $1 was delusional back when price was $0.01
The difference between .01 and $1 is less than a dollar. The difference between $600 and $5500 is $4,900. I hardly think these compare. I hope to hell I am wrong, because I will be holding btc. I'm just hoping it hits a grand again this year.
2111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Mintcoin worth it? on: February 27, 2014, 04:27:33 AM
Are you holding for long term or did you trade them for btc?

"$5500 this year is completely delusional. I hope really someone ends up posting my response to prove me wrong, but thinking that will happen is, again, delusional."

-chesthing
Wouldn't it make more sense to repeat my post after it has hit $5500?

2114  Economy / Speculation / Re: How things will progress over course of evening. on: February 27, 2014, 02:51:08 AM
Man I wish I knew what the hell you guys were saying Sad

I just look for a reasonably low price, try to get in there, and hold on.

All this technical trading talk is hurting my head, lol

Bottom line: Matt bought in high $400's and after watching trading activity has picked up his chips after a nifty profit of $50+ per 20 coins and waiting for the next crash into the $400s (in other words he's shorting). The rest is just blah blah blah.
I've got a much simpler method. Take a look at a current chart, I like Bitcoinwisdom because it's easy to read for dummies like me. see the way the price has dropped since a steady couple weeks in the $800s? it's like a ball bouncing down stairs. You get a drop and a bounce back up, each time the drop is lower and the bounce back up is lower than the last bounce up. The trend is continuing, and I agree with Matt about what will happen next.
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone order an ALPHA TECHNOLOGY asics scrypt miner? on: February 27, 2014, 01:15:47 AM
"all crypto community and movement just evacuating coins to ASIC resistant new generation."

So you are saying the new scrypt asic miners won't be able to mine many of the coins gpu miners can?

2116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Mintcoin worth it? on: February 27, 2014, 12:59:24 AM
Yes I see Mintcoin has fallen way down from increased difficulty, but there are only 5 total weeks you can mine it with only 2 left. After that you have to buy it, was wanting opinions on long term value.
2117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mining Mintcoin worth it? on: February 27, 2014, 12:55:44 AM
Very impressed with Mintcoin's rise so far, but it is very new. Anyone have an opinion on long term value - that is, is it worth it to put my 5.0 mh/s on it for the remaining 2 weeks of mining? There are so many choices on what to mine right now it's a bit overwhelming. I've got two 2.5 mh/s miners, want to mine Noblecoin and Darkcoin, and would also like to keep one on Doge.
Wish I had about 20 mh/s to play with.

2119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I Trade My Silver For Bitcoins? on: February 26, 2014, 05:58:53 AM
I feel things are on thin ice for the next few months. I might be a lousy trader but I have good instincts even though I don't often put them into action.

I feel the opposite.  I think the Gox disaster has been adequately priced in.  What's your reasoning?
What the government may do about all those people who will be screaming for justice, we'll see. I personally think Karpeles and his cronies should be hanged by their testicles in the public square.
