2221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 07, 2022, 10:40:52 AM
Really? I thought Tete was still fighting in bantamweight, well if that's the case then Casimero should pray that his requests will be granted and if he will be granted, I hope that he won't waste that opportunity and make sure that his weight will catch-up this time. I bet that will be his last chance in the bantamweight because if he can't still address his issue then I guess it's time for him to move up.

I'm sure WBO will grant Casimero's request. There's no reason why it shouldn't be granted.
Maybe there are reasons that they will not grant him, not the first time that he was overweight in fight, second, he was given a second chance by the organization and yet Casimero take that for granted. WBO will look like a fool if they allow him again, just saying.

But this time, Casimero needs to show some valid reasons that he is fit for the fight. Imagine he is having weight problems for 2 consecutive matches and that is not a good impression. He won't stand a chance against Naoya Inoue if he is struggling to catch up with the required weight.

All he can do is trash talk and that's where he wins lol if he don't do something about his weight problems.
Just go on the next weight, no need for him to stay as he body can't squeeze to that limit and this might be one reason that he will lose in his next fight if he insist on the bantamweight. It might be dangerous for him if he go again.
2222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 07, 2022, 09:58:28 AM
I'm looking at odds before the upcoming fight here everything has been unchanged for several days now https://box.live/boxing-betting/magsayo-vs-vargas-odds / however, the bookmakers' bets have changed in favor of Vargas' victory, apparently local bets in his favor prevail, I think this gives Magsayo additional motivation to win.
Yes, there was a change as Vargas started to be the favorite and then Magsayo had a massive odd swing but at the end Vargas regain it back and I think it will stay this way as the fight is just a couple of days from now.

But it is still very close odds though, and this might be the closest odds for a fight that we have seen in boxing for a long time. And it just shows that this fight is really a must show as both are very exciting specially Magsayo because of his power. But at the same time, Vargas too will have a lot of fans because the fight is going to be held in Texas.
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: July 07, 2022, 09:14:24 AM
And here is the current odds for this fight,

Usyk - 1.49
Joshua - 2.44

And the over/under is 10.5 at 1.67/2.16

So bettors are expecting a full 12 rounds of pure clinic by Usyk. He might hurt Joshua as we all know that he doesn't have a good chin, But I don't think that he will go for the knockout. Or it might be a short night for Usyk, if Joshua will pressed hard and look for a knock out.
2224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k on: July 07, 2022, 08:35:47 AM
I believe Bitcoin will get to another All Time High, it's just matter of time, but it can also go the other way. Nothing is assured!
Yup.
We've waited for 3 years until bitcoin has broken its former all-time high, $20k. And it only took a month or two in 2020 until it reached $20k again when it was under on that level.
I also believe that we'll see a new ATH and this has proven the cycle to be real and it will come with bigger traditional players just like how it went in 2022. I'm trusting and have confidence in it especially when we're approaching to the next halving.
It's really about the cycle, bulls and bears, and for me the harder we fall on this bear market, the higher we go up in the bull run. Of course, it's disheartening to see the price going below the previous high of 2017, this is the first time that it had happen, nevertheless, the chances for a new all time high in 2024-2025 is also very good. Halving might be just around the corner, yeah I know, still about a year to go. But in crypto, time flies very fast. So in the next 5 months it's already end of the year.
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 06, 2022, 11:04:48 AM
Chet Holmgren looking like a good prospect. He put up 23 points, 7 rebounds, & 6 blocks (summer league record) along with shooting 4/6 from three point range. The Thunder might have themselves a good rookie on their hands. He’s going to need to put on weight but Giannis did it. With Chet’s size and skills he could be a very interesting player to watch as he starts his career.

Yeah, I saw the highlights, as he battle Tacko Fall and another 7'0 foot guy. And I would say that this kid has a lot of potential, he can shoot outside, like Dirk, has the moves like Durant as wall. Of course, the kid is very young, his body is not yet developed, so there is a lot of room for improvement as far as his size goes. But definitely, this is a good pick by the Thunder and hopefully they can developed him.

Now that he's in the NBA and is playing professionally, he can focus on improving his game, body, and everything related to his basketball career. He indeed have a lot of improvement and who knows he'll be the first Center who will forever change basketball. A Center who can do everything. I might sound a bit exaggerated, but as far as how the NBA is picking on big men today, they always prefer those who can shoot and has guard skills.
I don't think that he is a pure center per se, and as we all know, NBA has evolved in the last 10 years that this big men are also shooting outside. Even the 3 point competition was a break out year last season as KAT won it.

And just like Dirk or any bigs that can shot right now, they are not pure Center, it's that they have to evolved with the ever changing landscape of the game. For sure, OKC will have a full development program for him as he might be their next franchise player.
2226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 06, 2022, 10:10:26 AM
^ Yes, I also check and the other betting options is already available.

Magsayo by KO is 5.00 and Vargas 6.20. And then looking further, it seems that sport bookies are looking for this fight to go to distance.

On the other hand, some of us might think that the fight will not go to distance. We are looking for Magsayo to convince with a huge win by knock out.

I will take the KO win by Magsayo, this is a big odds and an opportunity for those who believe that Magsayo will win here by KO. Thank you guys for notifying us about the odds, I'm also waiting for the full odds.

Same here, I would not hesitate to take that odds as we don't usually see that kind of very attractive odds for a champion. Besides, we are supporting Magsayo here so it's a big treat for us especially if he will successfully defend his title via KO. I have to be honest, Vargas on record is really tough, but I believe Magsayo will do the work to KO him.
And he will definitely wanted to go for a KO, as he said in his interview. He noticed though that Vargas loves to fight backwards so it's a question whether he wants to engage Magsayo or not.

And if doesn't then Mark said they are also ready as he has spared with different kind of boxers, from brawlers to defensive fighters. So this is going to be a interesting fight and possibly he will look for a KO no doubt.
2227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 06, 2022, 08:22:46 AM
Today's Nadal - Fritz match might prove to be more exciting than expected, Fritz has been great so far. I planned to bet on him winning - but the odds aren't that attractive.
What do you mean not attractive? Fritz is the underdog against Nadal at 3.05. Or are you talking about Nadal? yeah ML is not attractive at all.

And it's a tricky match to be honest, I'm leaning towards Fritz to win at least a set here, or maybe by a handicap for him at +2.5.
2228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Going To Fall Below The Previous 20k ATH possible? on: July 06, 2022, 07:48:52 AM
Prepare to be shocked!!! In a few days, we'll be doing a 10k!! History has been shattered in front of our eyes, and Bitcoin may never recover over $40k till the next halving... In two years, we'll see each other again.

I will finally own 1BTC when it drops to $8k  Smiley

Most likely, there will never be 8k, although I believe in the price of $10,000 for 1 btc. This level is an absolute bottom in many respects, Bitcoin during periods of complete capitulation lost 80-85% of its value from the last ATH. But. This will definitely not happen in a few days, the market cannot fall indefinitely, bounces and consolidations are important, so now the market is more set for a bullish correction. About $40,000....in 2018, too, some argued that bitcoin would never be worth $20,000.
Obviously, it didn't happen obviously, the OP might hav exaggerate it. And if ever we will go to $8k, yeah, it will be another record, capitulation already. And so we are back again in the $20k range, good to see after that $17,500 bottom we have seen 2 weeks ago if I'm not mistaken.

But it's not over yet at least for this year, speculation is that $13k will be the absolute bottom. But we will see, recession is really hurting every market and hopefully the world can recover very soon.
2229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 05, 2022, 01:05:57 PM
~
It's like the Brooklyn Nets just made an experiment but it failed. So what's next? A question that had been itching for many Brooklyn fans.
Durant wants a trade and I think Kyrie want the same.
They will be left with nothing if it happens or a roster with roleplayers unable to create chemistry or they could just stick with the plan and try the experiment one more time just to see where it will go.
It really is a failed experiment by the Brooklyn Nets but with their superstars, they might get a good trade package for those 2 especially Durant.
Kyrie wants to be in the Lakers and Lebron wanted it as well but the question is who will the Lakers trade just to get him. Durant now want's to go to either Phoenix or Miami but that would be hard because I don't know who will either Phoenix or Miami want to trade just to get Durant.

I just don't know but if Kyrie will go to Lakers, the Warriors might get Durant again (guess only) and they have a good trade package to get Durant with Poole, Wiggins and Wiseman so they an get it if both parties will agree. The future of the Nets now is still unknown but we might see a picture of what they will be doing next season if Kyrie and Durant will be traded and which players will get in exchange for both of them.
Gonna be huge for the Warriors if they will able to get Durant back. But we all know things have been said after Durant left, so might not be a good idea for the Warriors to get him back again that will cost a lot. But who knows, as we have seen in the last decade or so, there are no longer loyalties in the NBA. Organizations too, if they think it will be good for them, then definitely they can break the winning formula so we will see. I'm still on the fence though.
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 05, 2022, 12:35:19 PM
Four days before the fight, the bookmakers still have Vargas in the favorites, the gap is certainly not very large, I don't know, I want to bet on Magsayo, I probably will. Maybe the OP should do a vote here in the topic it would be interesting to see how the votes are divided? Smiley

Poll added mate, thanks for the reminder though it's a little bit late but i think it will still serve its purpose to know who amongst us here favor to win this fight.

The gap in the betting odds is not so significant that I consider this an even fight, odds-wise. I'm good with the ML for Magsayo but will still wait for the other options and if ever the odds for Magsayo by KO is attractive then i will threw some dollars into it.
Right, hard decision to boxing bettors, Vargas initial betting favorite, then it jump to Magsayo, now Vargas regain it back.

But it's not that significant, so ML bet is already attractive right now. Definitely, we will have to have a higher odds, but the risk is going to be high, like the what rounds or even a possible KO win for either.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: July 05, 2022, 11:25:29 AM
Highly unlikely but possible it will go 12 rounds but there is a danger that if Joshua performs a miracle and wins on points it could be a Eurovision style issue where Usyk wins when everybody knows he lost. I think a similarity would be like when Fury won the first fight against Wilder but it was awarded as a draw on the night.

I hope that if the fight goes full distance and judges are to decide who is the winner, if the fight was very close, then judges wont give a victory to Usyk "only because he is from Ukraine, and Ukraine has hard time now". Dont turn boxing into Eurovision song contest. If Usyk wasnt able to KO, then he would better be dominant and win fairy. Dont want to see politics involved into sport.
I would also like to see the fight going into a full 12 rounds. Joshua and his new trainer is preaching that they have developed Joshua so we wanted to see what this is though. Does he turn a good boxer, or just used his superior strength and power to overwhelm Usyk. I think the judges can't messed this up, this is a bigger fight, they better award the score to the rightful winner.
2232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Web5 a "catch phrase"? on: July 05, 2022, 10:49:20 AM
Probably just a buzz-word, ever since we have such terms as web3 and others, they have to think of a new one to continue with the hype. But I guess it's just start from it's root, with some minimal improvement.

So yeah, this is probably just another catch phrase, to attract and wake up the interest of investors again, regardless if we are in a bear or bull market.
2233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach 18600$ level in this week ends? on: July 05, 2022, 10:16:16 AM
Last week BTC weekly candle closed by 18627$. But as we can see this week BTC is showing a bullish pattern. But still, this week does not end, So what are you guys thinking about this week's BTC moving? Will it break up or down last week candle?
It went as high as $20,300 if I'm not mistaken, unfortunately, it was not sustainable, as the price goes to $19,750. So this could be the pattern for some time, it will just tank and trade sideways.

Why not look at it for at least this month and see how it goes? But for me, I'm not seeing any major movement. So maybe it can go to $18,600, maybe not.
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 04, 2022, 02:40:44 PM
Not much change though, still very very close fight as the bettors is still I would say 50/50 on this fight. Others might bet on Magsayo to score a knockout because he has the power. But on the other side of the fence, Vargas supporters leaning on him as a good boxer and will use his height and specially his reach advantage and might have to used a lot of jabs so that Magsayo can't come closer and deliver that one punch KO.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2022, 12:59:57 PM

Warriors have proven that they don't need Durant to win, so there's no reason they will trade their young talent in order to accommodate Durant. Also, that will affect the legacy of Curry as with Durant, his production might be limited since during the seasons that they won a championship with Durant, it was also Durant who is the Finals MVP.

They have proven it last season when they won a championship, so this team does not need another superstar to improve their roster as the big 3 is already enough to win a championship. Besides, there's no news yet that Wiggins will be traded, so they might keep him and they are still intact even with some new players will be filled for the players that has already signed with other teams.
I think that's one big question mark when Durant left them, if they can win and Steph has proven it. Although they have lost a lot of players already, GPII is one Portland now, JTA signed with the Lakers, and Otto Porter with Raptors, Damion Lee with the Suns, Nemanja Bjelica is also gonna leave for his beloved Turkey.

They have gotten DiVincenzo though, so he has a lot to fill with the Warriors. But still the core remains and hopefully Wiggins and Poole can stay as well.
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 04, 2022, 12:21:10 PM
After this experience I believe gambling is for the big bag holders, if you're in urge of making a win. Very much disappointed, because it is the last few dollars I had as a cryptocurrency holding. If I had more funds I wouldn't have encountered this big loss. Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.

How do you know that if you have invested more in gambling you will have won ? Gambling is all about luck and the winning in gambling is only because of the luck. There are people who invest a little amount in gambling and and end up winning a jackpot while there are other players who uses thier life savings and end up losing everything.
Perhaps he was banking on the higher risk high rewards ratio. But yes, we all know that it's not always the case, lady luck has do something before we can win huge.

And then there are also the cases, for us, not just in crypto, I have seen this in real life casino, wherein a individual will just bet on minimum or next to the minimum and hope that he can win the jackpot. So both chances are the same, regardless of the amount of bankroll.
2237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investors Ready To Deploy $25,000,000,000 Once Bottom Is In, on: July 02, 2022, 07:08:07 AM
So they will have to time the market before they make that huge investment? But we all know that it's hard to do, maybe $17,500 is already the bottom for all we know.

But not sure about it though, how accurate the amount it, probably this is just random numbers being thrown specially that we are in a bear market. But if I have that huge money, I would have invested already around $17k-$19k, no need to wait for the bottom.
2238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 02, 2022, 06:37:24 AM
Definitely! Bookies will take any opportunity that will earn them extra money.  Grin  I wonder what will the be odds for Magsayo winning by KO and vice versa.
It's not yet listed mate, but it seems the odds have stabled a bit, Magsayo becoming the slight favorite now. I would assume that the  odds for a KO win for him might be the same or slight higher than a ML.

And it's up to the hands of Magsayo now, becoming the betting favorite equates to him bettors putting fate on his skills and power. So still have a week to go, and maybe at the weigh-in we will see how well train and prepared he is. A body shot might be a good strategy because Vargas is taller.
2239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: July 01, 2022, 10:40:08 AM
Some very good coins out there have lost 95% of their value already is it possible to see more down fall? I'm throwing this to those that are present in last bear market, marketcap and volume is over millions of dollars and price is 95% down?  Shocked :I downfall still possible? For example Metahero.
As we are in a bearish cycle, I think there could be more projects that are going to suffer. Just look at the last bear market in 2018, I think around the ball park number as well, Ethereum as a example went down hard, below $100, so imagine the rest of the altcoin. Some are dead already, others survived but they have been replace by new projects. So yeah, downfall is possible, even bitcoin has been predicted to go at least as $13k. So expect the worst to come this year or next year.
2240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price: June close barely beats 2017 high on: July 01, 2022, 09:36:18 AM
I guess we really don't need those analysis as this is still an obvious buy region. And maybe the worst is yet to come, there are predictions that we can even reach $13k as the lowest. That will be the golden opportunity to stack more bitcoin. Nevertheless, there's nothing wrong with purchasing right now, and just like the whales, continue to accumulate as much as you can in this bear market.
