After learning the basics in theory, which is a must for every beginner, most people learn better with project based learning. Of course there are different learning styles, but everyone can learn with project based learning. It just feels great to accomplish something real, creating a real product based on your skills, rather than knowing everything in theory, but when it comes to practical use, you dont know how to take advantage of your knowledge.
2242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS or WAVES or ARK? on: November 09, 2017, 04:36:51 PM

I watched a WAVES sales video on how easy it is to create a token with it.  That sales pitch to me is like a giant red flag.  I used to work on IT (2 decades ago) and none with such "nice" feature survived.  I equate the tokens created on it to instant noodles...it is super convenient, easy, and cheap but at the end of the day it is not comparable to one that is properly prepared and cooked by a chef.

Not sure if I am making sense but that is it for me.

Thanks for explaining why you dont like it anymore. As you stated, it is really easy to create a token on waves, there are also a lot of fakes going around in it (but there are green check marks on the real ones), but as far as i am concerned this is not the most important thing on waves, its just a feature. The ease of token creation is a benefit in my point of view. As it will be in projects like bancor. Non-Tech savvy people are going (or are already on waves) to be able to create their own token with fixed supply in a working blockchain environment. Lets wait for 2018 and see how things turn out!
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS or WAVES or ARK? on: November 09, 2017, 04:01:41 PM
I think all are good but in may case...
ARK - 25% of my portfolio
STRAT - 5% of my portfolio
WAVES - I don't have any

WAVES I was excited with it earlier but after I went in deeper, I lost interest/faith in it.  As I posted before, maybe it is worth another look.

Im interested in why you came to this point of view? Why did you loose faith? I also just started a few months ago with waves, and so far, there was really nothing that made a bad impression (only the trade volume on the DEX could be higher, but thats not WAVES fault). Please share your thoughts with me  Smiley

What bonuses will receive the token holders?

I think the Tokens will appreciate in value because there is a burn mechanism built in. Also the content creators and the team has a vesting period. So that they can only sell little of their tokenshares annually. If adoption of the platfrom grows, and this will happen, then the value will grow a lot!
I agree with you, buddy. My team will invest to this project and wait it on exchanges.

I'm not giving investment advice! Its all explained in the whitepaper, take a look at it and decide for yourself. I think that the need for programming and IT related topics will only rise in the future, and as the market grows, so will LiveEdu.
2245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS or WAVES or ARK? on: November 09, 2017, 03:27:11 PM

To be honest, i have no idea why is Waves not $50 yet.

VOUCH FOR THIS! Waves is just great. Everything is working as it should, and the community is responsive and helpful. The WavesLite Wallet is amazing and very easy to handle. Everyone should take a look at it and decide for themselves if it isnt just beautiful and so easy to use with a very clear structured user-interface.
2246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token price fall after ICO on: November 09, 2017, 03:18:03 PM
There is a lot of those coins, for example: Bancor, Starta, Wagerr, Dao.casino (BET), Aeternity (recovering though at the moment), Somn, Agrello... the list is way longer i guess. Those are only some examples. There is also this website that compares ICO's, it showes the current price compared to the ICO price and several other data. Unfortunately I dont remember the exact name of it at the moment. Maybe google can help you out there.
2247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The most undervalues altcoins on: November 09, 2017, 03:14:04 PM
I checked the price of several altcoins where value dropped 20-30x since June:

BTS, ZCL, LBC.

Perhaps these are the safest buys.

any ideas?

I would take a look at Aeternity, it has huge potential in my opinion with the mainnet launch in 2018 and it is still very thinly marketed. It also dropped a lot in price since someone with over one million coins got hacked and the hacker sold all the coins creating a huge sell wall. It surged already 100% in the last days again, but its still dirtcheap and under the ICO price. This isn't investment advice though, always do your own research and never go all in on one coin, spread the risk!
2248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS or WAVES or ARK? on: November 09, 2017, 03:08:17 PM
I have $500 left -

Which has the highest potential in the SHORT term (upto 6 months max)
- as I am gonna need some cash then.

STRATIS or WAVES or ARK?

Or........ETH/LTC (maybe??)

For me it is WAVES. I cannot provide an answer to your question because the market is not predictable, but ARK is pretty new, so maybe if it gets hyped more it can surge alot. Personally I love WAVES! This isnt investment advice though. Research is key.
2249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How to know a newly created ICO on: November 09, 2017, 03:05:06 PM
There are many ICO related website such as tokenmarket, icobazaar, icocalendar, icoalert, coinschedule or my favourite: cryptocompare.com/ico
As aforementioned there are also a lot of apps to keep track, but I personally dont use them, the websites are always providing more structured information in my opinion.
2250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2X Cancelled on: November 09, 2017, 02:53:52 PM
it is strange that now when Segwit2x is cancelled price of bitcoin is still holding on, or it is just matter of time when it will sink back at 6000 or so?
something strange any suggestions

I think nobody can predict this for sure. Some people might think that the price will dip back now, or after the fork (if it happened as should) but the market often teaches you the direct opposit of what you were thinking. Some people also may think that the price will surge further. Nobody knows. I go by: the market is completely unpredictable (even more in crypto).

2252  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounties and emerging business of the new era on: November 09, 2017, 01:12:20 PM
Interesting summarization, and a smooth read. Especially for people that are new to the topic of bounty programs, this helps a lot! Thanks for that.
2253  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto-payment system on: November 09, 2017, 01:09:33 PM
If I understood correctly you are referring to projects like TenX.
That would be one of them. I know Tokencard and BitWala as well.

So far I havent really looked into it, but soon will do, I also want a Cryptocard. Hopefully some people will share their experiences.

As of now, I heard that BitWala provides a good solution, but its also only third hand information.

From my feeling and what I see here on the forum, there are a lot of projects with a pretty similar approach to this. Every other day there is another one of them. But there will only be a few winners. We will see.
2254  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ✴ Blockchain Cops and Lawyers on: November 09, 2017, 12:51:06 PM
This is a humble idead for sure! But by implementing and following through with what you proposed, wouldnt it be kind of like self-justice? I mean, you, or people involved who are "prosecuting" would likely get in the conflict of breaking the law themselves to follow their humble intentions. Just my 2 cents, but as aforementioned I also think, that without official bodies involved, there will be a lack of power to enforce this kind of stuff. Maybe a whitelisting/blacklisting of fraudalent companies and idividuals in the space could be a possible solution, but even this could be risky, due to possible mistakes, so again there could be the risk of character assasination lawsuits following up. I love your idea though and I am not a lawyer, its just my first thoughts on the topic.
2255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2X Cancelled on: November 09, 2017, 11:36:22 AM
WOW, as I read about the cancellation of the fork yesterday, I could not believe my eyes at first. Then I started laughing. This could be one of the hugest price manipulations of all time. But this is how it goes in the wildwildwest of Bitcoin huh. Lets be assumptive: who got rich by this? the people behind segwit2x? After all the accusation of manipulation can only be true, if they knew that they could get the fork to be cancelled. But could they? How was this decided? Because of the lack of consensus?
2256  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You should really look into Unikrn Gold. on: November 09, 2017, 11:25:19 AM
Worth a look.

Defo! I will keep an eye out, but will wait until it is getting listed on another exchange than etherdelta. Thanks for the information about this one.
2257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When ICO rush will stop? on: November 09, 2017, 11:15:23 AM

Quote
When do think will this rush stop and why? Huh

This can only stop when a real committee/panel gets set up by either the community members here or SEC to help verify these projects before they go live, and when it all stops the scammers, it will also ensure that only quality-based ICOs will be up and running for the purpose of everyone's good.

The idea of a panel created by members of this board would be ideal, as only people from the space have the knowledge and understanding to create useful guidelines. But do you think that this can be done completely without regulators? If so, how? I mean, even setting up a panel from members of bitcointalk would not ban scammers from creating icos and advertise them elsewhere (twitter, fb etc.). But regulatory steps could achieve this, as scammers would be scared of going to jail or loosing a lawsuit if they dont keep to their promises. What do you think about it?
2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 💥LiveEdu Pre-ICO: Powering Global Online Education with Smart Contracts💥 on: November 09, 2017, 11:11:33 AM
What solves the problem of blockchain in your project?

If you asked which problem does the blockchain solve in this project, afaik the tokenization of online education brings more value to the space, as content creators and viewers are incentivized to stay with the platform and keep the ecosystem prospering, for example: if you pay a content creator by cash only, he will likely produce content for other platforms as well and therefore dont focus enough on high quality for his "babies" on LiveEdu. But by paying him with EDU tokens, which will appreciate in value as he produces more premium content, it is likely that he (and his many colleagues) will stay on the platform because its most profitable. Hope this can answer your question. Someone from the team please correct me if I got that wrong somehow.

Macht weiter so!
