Yeah you are right with this statement. But on the other hand there will always be hyped projects that can grow x100 if they have a low market cap when you pick them up and on top a relatively low total supply. If demand is there, a coin can still get x100. But you are definitely right that it is less likely than it was before and you have to be lucky to pick the winners. Interesting concept. Sounds a bit like shapeshift or changelly. Is it comparable to those or shall this work as a decentralized "swapping" platform, via smart-contracts in some form? I guess Bancor provides something similar with their Tokenchangers for eth based cryptocurrencies. Another question is: how is liquidity provided, as there are no buy and sell orders as it seems, what will happen if there are many people wanting to swap the same ? Would be happy to learn more.

Looks like the ponzi scheme is getting exposed and coming to an end shortly. UK Registrar of Companies has threatened to shut down BitConnect and dissolve its operation. BitConnect has two months to prove “cause to the contrary” until the decision has been formally enforced. Should the company fail to comply with these terms, the government agency will strike off its registration and seize its assets.
BitConnect was registered by a British man going by the name of Ken Fitzsimmons, he holds 75 percent or more of the shares in the company.
For those of you that are still participating in BitConnect you should get out now while you still can.
Congratulations UK for reacting to that. I cannot say that Im not happy to hear that they are being shutdown. Finally someone does something against this MLM scheme. I always stay far away from projects like this, its just created to transfer money from bottom to top users and when there are no bottom users to lure in anymore the scheme gets exposed and many people loose everything. But the ones on the higher levels got out early and are on the Bahamas or whereever already. Will keep watching the further development of this. |

So my top 3 altcoins to invest in.
The first one would be NEO, as I think that it has huge growth potential and is not that risky to invest in. (Short/Midterm)
The second one would be Aeternity (AE) because it wants to bring unique features to blockchain and is founded by a cofounder of Ethereum. (higher risk, longterm)
Third one would be MODUM, they already got a working product, low supply and the demand for their product is likely to rise. (mid/longterm)
Of course all of the above mentioned are just my personally liked projects. Do your own due dilligence and risk assesment before investing in any coin!

Please keep in mind that the developers premined 100K coins (currently ~ 25 Million Dollars!!) at the new BTG blockchain. They were involved in ICO scams in the past and were caught manipulating pool software to their favour.
All six developers are millionaires right now - and I am pretty sure they don't give a shit what will happen to BTG in the future. We might even see the website go off in a few month after they dumped their coins. A lot of BTC users might dump their BTG for BTC or BCC soon - it's really risky to buy right now.
There are a lot of good coins with honest developers and a bright future out there. Pick one of those and support them. I sold my BTG @ 0.025 and I am happy - even if the price keeps rising. I bought some LTC, VTC and GRS for the free money. These coins are a more promising long-term investment.
I didnt know that before but am happy to have learnt it now. This is exactly what I meant in my previous post (excuse the double posting, but I just had to comment this as well). This is just not a serious attempt and bad for Bitcoin. I would strongly suggest anyone not to buy bitcoingold as it seems to be just another scam fork. I know many people also said this for bitcoin cash but here it seems different to me. Im curious what the future will bring for BTG. |

This fork was a joke for me from the beginning. I strongly feel that this forking hurts bitcoin a lot and it does only benefit some people that want to make a quick buck. But for the whole community its bad and also sheds a bad light on bitcoin as a whole. I mean for people that dont know much about the space this seems to be unserious if there is created money out of hot air every other week. Dont you think?

May be. We are thinking about this. What do you think about airdrop. I think you guys need to find a way how to not giving your airdrop to weak hand who end up dumping the coin. I think that airdrop can greatly reduce the cost of the token. An Airdrop can increase awareness for the coin. It can help create a community around it and you can bind the airdrop to some conditions such as joining your telegram channel etc. I would not suggest putting twitter or facebook related conditions in it though, because these mediums are not effective because its just a following cycle from the same people. Bitcointalk profile and Eth adress + joining the telegram group should do the job to be an attractive airdrop. You should make sure to ban cheaters from the airdrop by only letting jr. members and above participate and only accounts that are created before a certain date. Also I would suggest not to pay the airdrop until the ICO has ended, so weak hands cant sell their token on etherdelta before the ico is over. Also make strict rules to ban any people that try to shill other airdrops etc in your chatroom, it should only consist of on topic communication. Just my opinions on a successful airdrop. Those who want one time big reward for their investment being held as ae tokens will need to await for other few months. You can see not a single project where price of token went to the roof over night immediately. Ae Token will reach to its deserved value starting from Q2 next year if all goes well else may be little more wait but big reward is to happen.
There are such projects thats price went through the roof overnight, recent example: POWR, but you are right, in the end the patient and confident will be rewarded. People who sell their AE now will regret it a lot later! |

I will buy me some ARK soon, so Im checking out this thread. I hope that Ark will be able to achieve all they are working on! It will be a hard way, because they really want to achieve a lot of stuff. But im condident and the team looks solid! I cant really predict the price, noone can, but my hope for ARK would be around $20. That would be lovely.

I will hold it at least 2 years (or at least one year after mainnet launch) and really hope that it can achieve what is planned. Hopefully I picked the right coin to make my wish become a reality.

Hard to say for the short term, but I believe RPX has a good potential to become a succesful coin that brings alot of profit to its early investors. Maybe not next year already, but in some years it will still be there and be prospering. Thats my view on it. I am really confident in the team and that they can achieve what they are planning!
