I dont think that Bitcoin will come to an end soon, although this constant forking certainly does no good to it. But I can definitely imagine that another crypto will eventually take its place, one with more advanced tech and a strong user base.

Today I learnt that most of the trading volume of Stox is being conducted on the Bancor Network, that is so great I think. This benefits both, Stox and Bancor. Can somebody tell me what CRR does Stox have?

VIA was never intended to make people rich, rather it has a lot of wonderful aspects to embrace. For the people who are here to make money I can say cryptos are here for something a lot bigger than you can think of. Making money is only a tiny part and logical consequence of that "bigger cause". I'm getting a certain idea about some of these projects, don't believe the BS I'm talking as I'm stil a noob...
This project looks very nice, like some others, but it seems the token was only raised for their startup, to collect money so they can work on their project. A bit like ICN, now the project is running the token has no further purpose... or am I wrong?
yeah kind of, this was also the impression that I got from that token, that there is no real utility for it. But maybe we are both wrong here. If I remember correctly the Santiment token were also "airdropped" to a certain extent to experts or was this another project I am confusing it with now? I think you're right but am not sure.... On their platform they use snt tokens  But at this point have more confidence in Santiment then Iconomi though, that coin looks dead but Santiment has much more growing possibilities... next step top 50!! I mean, I love the general concept of Santiment, their proposal is desperately needed in cryptomarkets. I just dont see the real utility of the tokens, for what they are needed. |

This year? I think that's a big fat nope. It seems extremely content at the 20c mark. Yeah definitely, extreeeeemly content I would say. It stayed there the whole year with only some little swings once and then, hopefully it will gain some traction in 2018! |

i have read the whitepaper and this project seems promising. i have mixed reactions about failure to reveal the team but i understand your argument. time will tell. i also like the fact that i can withdraw any time, this makes it more transparent. let me participate
I also think that this project seems serious and I think the devs are going to push it through. Anonymity can definitely be accepted if the team sticks to their promises, at least that is my credo towards this. |

Has anyone of you asked yourself why you cannot find any information about founders of IQ or OTN  Only thing you can find is some interview with DMITRY where he talks about russian-israeli connections. OTN team of more than 550 ppl and not even one person wants to be showed to public as a founder of this Every better token or coin if you go to their websites they show full names and positions of people responsible for the project because they are proud of it and they would like to be recognized in future. Only IQ and OTN hide all info THINK I didnt research it, so cannot tell for OTN, but in my opinion it is not in general a bad thing if the team wants to stay anonymous. There can be several reasons for this decision and one should respect that. Just my opinion though, many would see that differently I know. |

I'm developing an altcoin that is based on social sharing. What foundational technologies are going to make it the most valuable? What makes an altcoin valuable? I'm wondering if it is just how much people hear about it? Thoughts?
Another way to make your altcoin valuable is to back it with something. Maybe you could consider creating it on the Bancor network, so it has a constant reserve of some other coin in it, eg BNT or ETH. |

Thank you for your follow up question. In answer to what you are asking here: yes, it will be possible for prices to be updated dynamically, based upon MNT fluctuations. There are effectively two available models for such changes:
1. Using live data, allowing immediate pricing updates to be performed at the time of the user search
2. Scheduled updates. For example, we (or another retailer) might choose to update pricing hourly
The right model for an individual retailer is likely to depend upon their own preferences and the level of price volatility. If the price is particularly volatile at the outset, for example, then it's likely that live rates might be seen as providing the best option.

AE has the funds to do amazing things. It just the team doesn't look very organized or competent so far. Two CTOs have quit or fired (not sure). I hope they short this thing out soon, before the third CTO quit.
I guess there were huge disagreements with the old CTO, it went down pretty badly and from my observation its better for AE not to work with someone like him. But for Joel, I was really confident that things are going the direction with him, so its pretty sad that he left. Hopefully we will see someone that sticks to the project now. |

Its always the question whether it is smart to buy in the ICO or not. I guess it depends on the demand for the coin at time of the ICO and if there is a general demand for the problem the project will try to solve. Its always risk to participate in ICO's but if you pick the winners, you can make really good money with them. Recent example is Quantstamp, there you made a good profit even without bonus. Imagine the people that got in whitelist tier 1 with a 100% bonus. Huge profit there. Yeah, It looks like a fomo comment. But yeah i will buy some GVT too, i just need to gather some ETH and sell some other coins. Kind of got some fomo here, I admit. But I will surely wait for the next correction until I buy, never buy high! |

Thanks fro nodes it worked. Downloading blockchain now  As i can see wallet is old 3 years and there is no new development. Why price is rising now? Sometimes, someone from nowhere buys for no real reason a huge amount of riecoins, and because there is no much volume, buying relatively small amount of Riecoin can easily increase very much the price (or decrease if selling instead of buying). Or maybe it is market manipulation... If someones sells just for 100 BTC of Riecoin now, the price would crash to 1100 satoshies (-55%), and if someones buy for 50 BTC of Riecoin now, he would increase the price to 4000 satoshies (+65%). Do the same with say ETH and the price will just change like +/- 2%... I have even seen sometimes that even just 5 BTC would have crashed or increased the price of at least 50%, because this market is so little So tldr: there is absolutely no reason for price increase now Very interesting explanation, why there is no reason for the price rise. Its crazy how easy it still is to manipulate prices in crypto. I hope that 2018 we will reach a big enough market that it wont be that easy anymore on smaller coins. |

Definitely mate! Thats a good observation. Hopefully this will be the case with every smart token on the Bancor network. As I said, people just need to realize the benefits that Bancors liquidity mechanism brings to the space and they will start to adapt it. Also great to hear that we can now integrate our wallets to the platform, great work Bancor!
Yeah, more & more new people coming to crypto lured by ICOs and after investment they want to sell their tokens. Making new account and getting verified on exchanges is too difficult for many of them, so platform like Bancor is the ideal solution. As the user interface is getting easier to use and more new tokens are showing up on network, I'm sure adaptation will speed up which means more volume and more users. Next year will be amazing for Bancor and whole crypto space.  Thats true, but one has to keep in mind that Bancor will be only crypto to crypto if Im not mistaken. If those that invest in ICO's later want to cash out their tokens into fiat, they still have to use a centralized exchanges. Hopefully there will be new ways implemented how people can do that in the future. Maybe Bancor can even integrate something alike in the coming years. I totally agree with you, 2018 will be a great year for crypto as a whole and especially for Bancor! |

This project has great potential, is also needed to gun control, they can only be shot by their owners, right? I always dreamed of weapons that communicates with blockchain every time they fire, giving location, timestamp and owner information.
Oh boy that would certainly help the government to keep an eye on registered weapons, but its unlikely that all weapons will be on the blockchain, so criminals would still use those I guess Yes, but it will certainly help for regulation, if they start making these weapons only and make the old weapons ilegal to fabricate, the criminals would still get them but they will be a scarce asset and eventually they will be so expensive to buy because the limited supply. Thats true, its definitely a really cool idea to register all weapons on the blockchain as soon as they are built. In the long run it would definitely make unregistered weapons scarce and hence too expensive for the "average criminal". Good point here! |

NXT is one of the oldest projects, a lot of projects were inspired by this coin, surely NXT price is reflecting that. Good luck for all early investors.
In my opinion the price does not reflect that at all. Although next is around so long, it has been highly undervalued by investors. Maybe it was due to lack of marketing I dont know. In 2017 it did make some good gains, but is now again trading 3 times lower than it has been this summer. (Satoshiwise I mean, I only look at satoshi prices) |
