2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POWR][UPDATE] *** POWER LEDGER TOKEN SALE STARTS FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER *** on: November 19, 2017, 10:51:58 AM
Glad to have found this today. I didn't dig up deep in the documents so far, but what I can say from first glimpse is, I am seeing a solid idea, processed by a solid team with a growing community around the coin. I will definitely dig deeper and look for a good entry point. Would you guys suggest to jump in now?
2042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: November 19, 2017, 10:47:24 AM
Bought my first few lisk, lets see where this project is going to in future. I find the project as a whole quite exciting, though I don't really dig the delegate POS.
Let's see what the future holds for lisk (or whatever it is being called after the 22nd  Grin)

Word! I also just bought my first Lisk. I was monitoring this project from the side quite a while now and now finally decided to jump in. It's great to see such a huge thread with a lot of traction on the forum. Hopefully this investment pays out in 2018! I'm also willing to hold way longer though!
2043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: November 19, 2017, 10:41:45 AM
You guys put too much emphasis on websites, in my opinion, at least in regards to icos.look at the site that we're on now. It's straight out of the 90s, but tak3 note of where you choose to do your business. On that note, the la do g page has been redesigned since the Offering. Go to http://Veritaseum.com.

Couldn't agree more. Nowadays people get suckered in by these fancy looking ICO websites, eventhough everyone can set such a fancy website up with just a little research and basic skills. People need to do more research and see if there is real value behind a project or not. And as you said: we are doing business here in a 90's like forum. I love that, since the 90's are great! But on the other hand it's an indicator for the non-importance of things like website styling etc. There has to be professionalism shown on the website and information. The layout/ fancyness is of no importance to me.
2044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token price fall after ICO on: November 18, 2017, 10:29:12 PM
One of token price fall after ICO is everex. First time when i get this token, it has 80% volume then after ICO finish it fall down to be -40% volume. It likes a heart attack  Smiley  but as time goes by the price increasing again.

It can be concluded that the price is always fluctuating, and if we can be patient the right time to sell will arrive and there profit has been waiting there so always update in trading.

Actually I was also about to invest in everex, but I missed the presale for one day I think and then had to wait for the public crowdsale, by this time I had no more money to put in everex. As it seems its good that I left it out. I still want to get some everex, its an already established company and the concept is also good. They have a lot of competitors, but I think they also have a solid international team, that can beat the competition. Can you tell me what the ICO price was, so I can compare it to now?
2045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Wallets for altcoins on: November 18, 2017, 09:18:38 PM
Lately I also discovered Metamask as a very cool looking, and convenient to use ethereum wallet. It can also hold all ERC20 tokens. What I am wondering about is though: where is the private key in Metamask? Is it always inside my chrome browser? I mean, with MEW you have to put the private key in to unlock the wallet (eighter manually typing it, or json file, or ledger nano s) in combination with your password. But in Metamask I only have to type in the Password and the wallet is open and ready to be used. So Im wondering if its as safe as MEW or not? Maybe someone with better technical knowledge can help me with this.As a sidenote: I have never read that Metamask got hacked or something alike, so it seems pretty safe.
2046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VISACOIN ICO - Coming Soon! on: November 18, 2017, 09:11:18 PM
A coin called VISACOIN? Even if the idea behind the coin is good in some way, the name certainly isnt. In my opinion it is always bad to build something from anothers reputation. Moreover I'm sure this somehow brings problem with trademark rights. I'm not a lawyer, just my gut feeling. Maybe you should rethink that name of your coin.
2047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you buying altcoins on: November 18, 2017, 08:57:52 PM
With BTC in such a strong uptrend atm, are you buying altcoins right now? A lot of them are kind of 'cheap' and have been falling while BTC have been increasing.

Definitely, I bought altcoins during the bearmarket they have been in lately. It was great because almost every altcoin was a bargain at this time. It already payed of with the market recovering the last days, but it will even pay off more. I also buy bitcoin though. There is only one direction in the long run!
2048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRE-SALE] [AIRDROP] Jeth - Fast, Secure, Transparent on: November 18, 2017, 08:52:57 PM
I will also take part in this Airdrop, looks like the one out of the 50 every day that isnt just plain useless. I am looking forward to a succesful distribution! Appreciate your work guys!
2049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: November 18, 2017, 07:35:43 PM
can we deliver NEOs (from Bittrex) to a light wallet  (to not have to download and store big blockchain data) , but still obtain GAS ?If yes, which wallet could it be ?

Yes, should be possible. I use neowallet.cn, its one of the wallets that are recommended on the official website of neo. I would suggest to check the site and decide for yourself which wallet suits you. Speaking for myself, I cant complain in any way about the one I use, and it also generates gas.

the way i see after some days of is much like is stragling to stay only at that level and never that we have up-wards trend.. my opinion

The price is rising! And even if it would not, you should wait until Aeternity starts a marketing campaign and people become aware of all the great features and improvements that Aeternity brings. Price will rise no matter what, Im very confident towards Aeternity.
2051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 LiveEdu 🔵 The future of online education: project-based learning on: November 18, 2017, 05:02:24 PM
This looks very interesting. I am a big fan of Lynda, Udemy and Coursera to do online courses. Is the presale still open or has it closed?

Hi, the pre-ico is running until 20th Nov as far as I know. You can check it on the website, all the details are written there. Hope I could help!

2053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Am I late ? on: November 18, 2017, 02:40:34 PM
You are definitely not, its just the beginning for crypto! Mass adoption has not even started yet. We will see if it takes off in 2018, maybe not even than. You can consider yourself lucky to have bought now!
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin has more than 21m supply on: November 18, 2017, 02:20:45 PM
With every fork bitcoin supply is increasing so does the bitcoin bubble i mean everyone by now must be know that bitcoin is a bubble. why? every fork is zero to value! bubble!
but in my opinion bitcoin will be bitcoin forks dont matter they just increasing the coins!

every forkable coin will fail in the future.

just my 2 cents

Good point! Thats why I stay far away from all those forks. The pity with these forks is, that it can confuse and discourage people that are new to the space. We know that these coins will fail, but for someone that comes in new to crypto and sees this happen, just creating money out of hot air by a so called fork, will likely loose trust in the whole crypto space again. Blockchains sure must be able to be altered and adapt to new circumstances, but they will need to have a different way of doing it. Consensus has to be achieved differently.
2055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give me a coin that will easily go 3x on: November 18, 2017, 02:14:31 PM
I am supporting this project called WINDCOIN, they are still in the airdrop phase, but I believe it will be a disruptor for the sector and can easy give a good return if you stay strong holding your airdropped tokens. I will hold on. On plus they arent doing an ICO, because they dont claim to need tens of millions to develop what they are planning. That shows integrety and is a sign of them really supporting what they are doing and not only being after the money of investors.
2056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: November 18, 2017, 02:10:51 PM
I can't name any other coin/token, which failed more times than ETH. It's not about loving or hating it, it's all about people losing money, because of situations which can be avoided. I would care less if these ETH based projects were not asking money from the masses, but that's not the case. And believe me when I'm saying that Ethereum has some powerful lobbyists. Otherwise its price would be probably 1/5 from the current one.

Didn't we had enough of this?

I like your point of view. As for me, I made good profit thanks to ETH, but eversince its price surged, I stay away far away from buying in again. The failures in the eth ecosystem are obvious and could have been avoided in most cases. There are also so many ICO projects that are pure money grab scams raising ignorant sums of money for a mere idea, even if they want to develop their product for real, who are they to raise hundreds of millions??? But for this not eth is to blame, the people that are throwing money at those projects are. Also the price is only driven through the need for Eth to participate in ICO's which is mainly due to marketing created fomo. 9/10 Token are being traded under the ICO price after the end of the crowdsale. But after all, not ETH is to blame for what its platform has become. I think there are other platforms such as ARDOR that are working towards becoming what Ethereum once wanted to be.
2057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO]🔥🔥🔥 PlusCoin by DS PLUS - THE FIRST PEOPLE'S CRYPTO MONEY 🔥🔥🔥 on: November 18, 2017, 01:56:31 PM
Probably by the end of the year, those ones who are selling their tokens will be back to buy it at higher price than they are selling right now

Lets hope so. PLC is now trading at Etherdelta. I cant really understand why people are selling their tokens cheap. They will regret it later and we will all profit from it. Just keep on hodling!
2058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: StakeIt Token (STAKE) on: November 18, 2017, 01:53:29 PM
I am slow on understanding this project. We earn by staking the token and how would the company earn on this?

I suppose they got their own share of STAKE as not all tokens are being sold in the ICO, it will likely be 50% or 60% so the remaining % stays within the company, and as the value of the STAKE appreciates, so does the return for the company. I hope I did think this through the right way.
2059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop advice for newbies on: November 18, 2017, 01:46:02 PM
Most airdrops are worthless giveaways.  Sharedrops and signature campaigns are where its at.  Pick up the free "airdrops" (giveaways) if you want to, but most are worthless and in many cases phishing.

Also, OP, Bitsend does legit weekly airdrops, Bitcore does weekly sharedrops, and Byteball does monthly/bimonthly sharedrops.

Can you explain to me what a sharedrop is? Is it a drop that only happens to those that are holding a currency and then only the holders are eligible for the sharedrop? As with SNGLS for example?
2060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: *** [PRE-ANN][ORME] *** - ORMEUS COIN || the ‘gold standard’ of cryptocurrency on: November 18, 2017, 01:36:42 PM

Believe it not, this is the first coin ever that seems to be backed by something other than simply hot air.

Very interesting.

Actually it is not, there are others with crypto as a reserve, such as bancor (ETH reserve) and some others that have a Bitcoin reserve (note that bitcoin as any other currency in general is also only "hot air" because it gets its value only from the people accepting it as a way of payment and trusting in the currency. Remember how much 1 BTC was worth 2013). There is also Tether that (should at least) have a reserve of 1USD for every Tether that is issued. Nobody knows if this is really happening though, it is all based on trusting the tether company. If I'm not mistaken there are also currencies backed by gold and other assets, even currencies backed by real estate shares. Problem is, if there is no valid proof of these assets backing the coin, its also merely hot air.
All that said: I still think this project is really interesting. As it is as you said, something backed by something valuable. Lets wait for the devs to answer!
