I am winner, and lately I got very lucky and won back most of my old losses but the withdrawal was taking a long time and i couldn't use the chat to ask about it.  What's the deal with that?

I just cancelled the old withdrawal and submitted a new withdrawal for my entire 5btc balance, just to see if they actually have the coins to pay me that much.   Gotta be careful because so many crypto companies went bankrupt lately.  Will report back what happens.

Hello

If you are winner could you please contact us by email. We wrote you few emails some time ago with no answers. Ofcourse we pay out all the winnings.

If you're looking for Real Winner, then anonymouscoward is defintiely NOT Real Winner. Real Winner's real Bitcointalk account is IndependentGambler, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=903350

He posts in this topic sometimes, calling for everyone to play with him and race him in the wagering competitions. If I'm wrong, and IndependentGambler is not BlackJack.fun's Real Winner, then just confirm it in the chat.

Plus it's currently RealWinner vs. GOD in the Hourly Wagering Competition if anyone wants to "whale watch".
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Trading at a Discount, Says Bloomberg Senior Analyst on: August 08, 2022, 10:31:42 AM
Crypto winter for some, summer sales for some others  Wink

Indeed, it's trading at a discount, especially in the last 2 months. And this situation may last some more months, or the price may drop some more, or maybe the crypto winter is already over (we just have a pump - maybe small, maybe not). However, crypto winter will end. And then some will be crying again that they've missed the train. It happens all the time.

However: this is speculation, not financial advice.

Of course, although it holds not much of value (since it's speculation), it's nice to have such things coming from a "Bloomberg Senior Analyst" (although I don't care much of such a title, I expect some do).

Hahaha yes! That Bloomberg Senior Analyst must have been zooming the chart out to the maximum recently, and have just discovered the "HODLer's Secret". Simply shutting all the market noise off, and have conviction in a low time preference Bitcoin investment. Another HODLer's secret is, store ALL of your coins for HODLing in cold storage to help you resist/kill the temptation of selling. Cool
2283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC make a new high in 2022? If not then what will be peak point? on: August 08, 2022, 09:28:37 AM
The great whales know very well when to act to buy bitcoin when the price drops drastically, especially when it fell to $17k yesterday. They were very happy to see the price could go down yesterday because they got a great opportunity to repurchase more bitcoins.

It's probably because it was those same "great whales", or shall we say "the whalecumulators", who manipulated the price to go to a cycle low of $17,000. Cool

Quote

Higher increases will occur again in the future, perhaps before the end of the year, next year, or even a few years. But clearly, those who were able to buy bitcoin at the price of $17k yesterday are really waiting for the moment to increase the price of bitcoin again. We should also be able to buy bitcoin when the price drops again and I think we will get more opportunities from the ups and downs of the price.

It's a cycle, and crashes again come after price surges during bull cycles. That's why it's probably better to buy the DIP, and HODL than DCA because Bitcoin's halving-influenced 4-year market cycles. DCA is better for more unpredictable markets.
2284  Economy / Economics / Re: Surprisingly, Elon's Tesla is not so keen on hodling BTC anymore on: August 08, 2022, 05:25:12 AM
Not surprised by the steps he took because this action is almost the same as the steps of everyone who has a lot of bitcoins, namely taking profits, he should even do it when the price is still higher than he sells these bitcoins, especially as an entrepreneur he will be profit-oriented and maybe cash becomes the reason he ended up selling bitcoin.
Tesla bought bitcoin last January when it was priced between $30,000 and $35,000 and sold it for $29,000. That is, one and a half billion dollars were in bitcoins for more than a year, after which they were sold at a decent loss for the company. To take such a step, you need to have information either that bitcoin will continue to fall in price for a long time, or that the crypto winter will last for a very long time, and therefore it is unprofitable to keep such an amount idle.
But it is still difficult to understand their contradictory and illogical actions with bitcoins.
Are we sure those are the numbers? I am not sure if they were, but if they were then it was a close call for them. I mean buying at 30k-35k is understandable because it was there last year, but we haven't been 29k for a long time, but if they publicly release these information that means they got out a lot earlier than they let us know.

People should see this, we haven't been 29k, and if you are telling that they released it and it was actually 29k, then they must have sold a lot earlier and only notified the world now. Which is manipulation but since it is not stock manipulation, I am sure that SEC would probably not do anything about it and let the crypto people take the hit.

I believe companies listed in the stock market are required to report their market investments, but it doesn't mean they should report it on the day they made the move. I think they have a required schedule when they should be filing to the SEC, then reporting what they did for the quarter.

Elon Musk has enough legal problems from his failed bid to buy Twitter, I don't believe he wants more problems from the SEC for market manipulation. Hahaha. Everyone currently hates Elon Musk that they're looking for something wrong in his every move.
2285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC make a new high in 2022? If not then what will be peak point? on: August 08, 2022, 05:06:05 AM
OP, it's not important "what price" Bitcoin might go, or how high it might surge. But it's very important to buy Bitcoin DIPs as low as you possibly can. It's going to be better for your sanity, and better for your stomach, believe me. Most of us plebs won't like HODLing an investment with a big loss. It forces many plebs to sell to relieve them of the stress, and to "cure " the mental illness. My advice to resist the temptation of selling is, USE COLD STORAGE. Hahaha.
Right, short term we might not be looking for $50k threshold, we are still in the bear market so I doubt that we will have a break out run this year. We already find the support line above $20k, so this seems to be the movement that we are going to see in the next couple of months. So the best approach is to still buy and then simply be a HODLer.

Plus Bitcoin never stayed under its 200-Week SMA for a long time in its history of being traded, AND Pi Cycle has already indicated that the bottom for the current cycle has been reached. It has never been wrong before.

Quote

Nothing beats a strategy than that, continue to accumulate as much as you can in this current scenario, and put in in a wallet that you have total control.

There is the top 10% of active traders that do beat the market consistently in general, but if you're merely a pleb with neither the skills nor the capital, saving through HODLing is for you.

2287  Economy / Economics / Re: Surprisingly, Elon's Tesla is not so keen on hodling BTC anymore on: August 06, 2022, 10:09:31 AM
He pretty much goes whichever way his whims go according to the blowing of the wind.  Sometimes I wonder if he gets a rise out of how a few words tweet(s) he makes moves the crypto and stocks markets, definitely feels like an ego or a just because thing at times, like when he was talking about accepting Telsa purchases in BTC and then over exaggerated the impact of mining on the environment as a reason not to go forward with the idea.

Although Elon Musk is among the smartest men to live on the face of the Earth, he never truly understood Bitcoin based from what he tweets, and has he said about Bitcoin. There was a time when he was  merely parrotting what the big blockers were saying about efficiency and transaction throughput. He never learned that blockchains isn't entirely about speed, it's about settlement assurances.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Games or Gambling Considered Sports, really! on: August 06, 2022, 07:40:42 AM

If Poker is recognized as a game of skill, then it wouldn't be illegal for any entity to set up a poker game, and take a percentage of the players' winnings as a "fee or rake from the pot"? I have been learning/reading/researching about poker, and one of my research requires watching movies about Poker. Hahaha. One of those movies is "Molly's Game". She was taken by the FBI, because she was accused of running an "illegal gambling" room. She was told that if she did not take a fee/rake from the game, the FBI can't take her. WHY can't she or anyone fight the case by citing Poker is not a gambling game but a skill game?
2289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin : A digital currency or a computer program? on: August 06, 2022, 07:25:36 AM
OP, it's actually a complete protocol for a "hard money", and much much more. If you ask me, I believe that "Bitcoin" is actually hard to "define", because it can be one definition for one person like a cryptocurrency for personal finance, and an absolutely another definition for another person like a censorship-resistant protocol that can weaken political strongholds.

It's actually the world's first time to have a breakthrough of a true decentralized network like Bitcoin. We might actually not know what it is, or what it might be yet.
2290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical analysts be like.. on: August 06, 2022, 05:23:22 AM
It is important for you to have a motive or objective to enter cryptocurrency trading
Having that reason can still encourage you to learn more and do better.
The market wont stop from moving for us, we should really know how to adopt the trend and move forward and don’t ever think that its dumping because you’re done buying, its just a coincidence what you can do is to focus on your plan especially on cutting losses, TA is also about creating strategy.
With the market is very volatile, TA can be invalidated most of the time and we should not stick with one strategy all the time. TA can works if you have your target price and cut loss price, there’s instances like this before especially if you are trying to catch the falling knives, this is why its also important to timing the market and don’t just buy because of any hype. Many traders are just waiting for the right moment before they execute their trades,  having patience is also important and can be a big help so that TA can work.

YES! Technical Analysis "can" work for the user as a guide for when to buy, how much coins to buy, and when to sell, with everything based on price and volatility. It's actually many "ifs" and "elses". What Technical Analysis CANNOT do is predict when the market might surge, and what price it might reach. It can help you if you use it the right way, but always accept the fact that we're merely "fooled by randomness". Plus Technical Analysis is NOT a real science.
2291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical analysts be like.. on: August 05, 2022, 11:18:54 AM
Technical indicators jargon...

Some more....

We'll have to see how these indicators gonna play out .. Market can go either up or down.

Note: this is not a financial advise.

There's also when "Technical Analysts" draw lines to connect two points in a chart and say, "I expect BIG MOVES coming this week, or the next week, or the next month". Plus you already said it. The always mandatory, "This is not financial advise". BUT IT IS ALREADY FINANCIAL ADVISE! Although, the plebs like me have actually stopped believing in "our Technical Analysts" in the forum.

By the way betplay.io is not related to Betplay.com right?
Seems not related at all, because when I look at Betplay.com I received error 22, and the website looks offline, last updated was on February 2021.

Finally I created an account here after seeing a Poker game  Smiley
I want to try poker for my next deposit. I believe that's the card game for me.
Don't forget to note the Freeroll Schedule day on, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays because a lot of Prize pools from µ₿6,000 until µ₿10,000, (This Sunday! 9PM CET / 3PM EST). everyone is free to join, but at least made 1 deposit within a week, and I'm really sure the freeroll will make you fun!.

Hi  Dewi Aries,

Welcome to Betplay.io casino! We are pleased to inform you that we have a large array of premium game providers. Yes, the betplay.com is not related to our casino.

Hello Wind_FURY ,
Please click this link https://betplay.io/en/poker for more details about of our Poker Tournament. Thank you!

Hi blue Snow,

Thanks for appreciating our poker free roll tournament!

Thanks to the both of you. I'm already in the middle of my "research" on "how to play Texas Holdem Poker". I downloaded a PDF of Poker For Dummies for a very quick introduction, and I have some YouTube videos to watch bookmarked and ready! This is the beginning of my journey as a "Poker Player". I want to be as diligent in learning Poker as my Bitcoin research and studies. Hahaha.
2293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Papa John's store that made the Bitcoin pizzas in 2010 now has a plaque on: August 05, 2022, 05:58:54 AM
I believe after 100 years, Laszlo Hanyecz's "10,000 Bitcoin Pizza Moment" will be written in history books...

It is now already part of history, although it is not exactly something that is known outside the community that is gathered around Bitcoin. Those who do know about this information often criticize Laszlo because he spent so many Bitcoins on only 2 pizzas, although they do not understand that people mined BTC with personal computers and the reward per block was as much as 50 BTC at that time.

Laszlo, unlike most people today, understood why Bitcoin was created, and he showed it with his example.

I believe no one actually knows what Bitcoin potentially is 12 years ago, and still no one knows what it can currently be today and the future. The market might not be pricing in the fact that Bitcoin can be used to weaken political "strongholds". That's no mere Medium Of Exchange for buying pizzas. Bitcoin's ethos and design to preserve censorship-resistance, and the resources spent to maintain it, it's more than just another "consumer-product" for personal finance.
2294  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I found a paper wallet on a beach ... seriously on: August 05, 2022, 05:28:10 AM
If you do not know the real owner, then you can not know the owner. The reason we should keep our private key or seed phrase safe in a safe location.

Or if you don't see the "real owner" anywhere and you hold the private jey of a wallet containing some Bitcoins, THEN YOU are the owner. Private key holder controls the wallet. Is it theft? It's not, it's a feature of self-custody in Bitcoin, which makes it a very powerful tool. No one controls your wealth, except you as the holder of the private key, not the government, not the banks, not ANYONE. You!

We have recently updated our Blackjack.Fun review after ~ two years when checking them out for the first time: https://www.btcgosu.com/review/blackjack-fun/

You guys are more then welcome to share your own reviews and rate Blackjack.Fun on our website! Smiley

Long story short: Some big improvements since we first took a look even though there are still some key features missing.

Blackjack.fun's new brightest, and most "shining" feature is the voting process for who the community believes is going to win the Hourly/Daily/Weekly Wagering Contests. Winning voters will receive up to 40 free spins maximum for the slot machine called Dig Dig Digger. You try it! Vote for our favorite whale called "RealWinner". He wins all those wagering contests regularly!

Done claiming my 30 free spin on top with my other goodies free spin for the day! Blackjack.fun now level up there giveaways to all players by providing this free spin without any wagering requirements. It will surely attract more new players to try and play in the casino.

I’m not lucky on Dig dig digger since it was the fixed game for the free spin. I hope you guys will have a good spin! Thank you very much Blackjack.fun team.  Kiss

Dig dig digger has low hit ratio and volatility which means it’s very hard to win huge amount using the free spin alone unless you are very lucky to hit the the bonus round multiple times in your free spin session. I like they increase the amount of spin per day because 5 spin per day on the previous contest is too short for a slot game to get any reward on spin.

The hourly vote is what makes this new voting system more interesting for user like us that don’t invest much on our bank roll to get good amount on wagering contest.

I had a "big win" only once with my free spins. It gave me maybe around $3.00 and a few cents.

Finally I created an account here after seeing a Poker game  Smiley I also checked the list of slot game providers looks like it's complete

Some of my favorite providers are already available so let's see what else we can get here which we don't get in other casino

By the way betplay.io is not related to Betplay.com right?

I want to try poker for my next deposit. I believe that's the card game for me. I've been working hard to learn BlackJack, but I consistently never win. I was also using Coin_trader's strategy card matrix, but I still lose every time. Sometimes lose just a little amount during lunch break, and then I play again another time and lose the whole deposit! There's nothing to withdraw. Hahaha.

I should buy a Fengshui waving cat.

I believe after 100 years, Laszlo Hanyecz's "10,000 Bitcoin Pizza Moment" will be written in history books as something like Alexander Graham Bell's first telephone call made in March 10, 1876, or the Wright Brothers' first controlled flight in a "modern" aircraft in December 17, 1903. We are living under ANOTHER time of ANOTHER fundamental change in human society.

Haha you are very correct in pointing out that the mathematical expectation cannot be changed by Fenshui.

In my opinion, the most correct solution that will benefit the gambler is the study of game theory, mathematical expectation and probability theory. This will really help you to understand what are the chances of winning in this or that game.

Plus just have COMMON SENSE. In a time line long enough, if a player keeps playing, he/she can never win against the house which has a mathematical edge vs. him/her. He/she can position himself geographically in accordance to "Fengshui", still it cannot break the laws of mathematics for the player. There are no miracles, and there are no accidents in the physical universe.

I don't quite agree with you. In gambling, as in real life, there are accidents through which a person can get rich without knowing it, but it does not depend on his religion, faith and his choice since randomness is built into the casino algorithm.

You don't agree with Mathematical reality of the House Edge? As you have said, they are mere "accidents". In a long enouge time-line, the Math always prevails, and if the edge is consistently against you, you lose.

Quote

Someone can participate in the lottery his whole life, but did not get a lot, and someone can buy a ticket and get fabulously rich. That is what randomness is all about.

How many people out of billions have won the lottery if they buy tickets in their whole life? Where is the consistency in beating the lottery? If everyone uses Fengshui, will luck change the Mathematical Probability, and give you an edge over the lottery?
2299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin *is* an inflation hedge in first place. Satoshi expressly made it so. on: August 03, 2022, 10:35:47 AM
Question.

Does bitcoin's status as an inflation protected asset conflict with it being an asset of speculation for hedge funds and investment banks?

No, because they are speculating on Bitcoin as a hedge, whether it be an inflation hedge, or a hedge against the possibility that a non-elected cabal might break the whole financial system with their flawed policies. HODLing Bitcoin is a bet, or an insurance policy against the legacy financial system.

Quote

Satoshi did an incredible job developing bitcoin. But I wonder if there were some conflicts of interest, which he himself did not anticipate. In which case, it is possible that there is room for improvement as far as BTC design and development go.

Can you give an example of, "conflicts of interest"?
