2301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT for money laundering? on: October 10, 2021, 09:11:36 AM
I have speculated that NFT will be the next part of the cryptospace where much of the money laundering and tax evasion might occur. Why is this? This is because NFT is art and much of the art world is unregulated.

However, the lawmakers are beginning to crackdown on the art market. I reckon for the first time in the cryptospace, the government might be there ready, waiting in advance and backed with regulations hehehe.

This year, the treasury department is expected to complete a study on whether there is evidence of money laundering in the broader art market. The Senate banking committee will then use the findings to determine whether the same anti-money laundering provisions applied to antiquities dealers should apply to all art dealers.

According to one art law attorney, the outcome of that study is “a foregone conclusion: an alliance of government regulators, class-conscious legislators, and art market critics will seize upon the opportunity to convince the Biden cabinet to regulate the art business,” says Michael McCullough of the New York firm Pearlstein and McCullough.

That would be a very unsafe way to"park" your money though. I mean in the end NFT's are at the moment the current hype withing the crypto space and we still see a lot of NFT trades going on but if i remember correctly i read a few days ago that the trading volume of NFT's has been going down for a while and at the moment it is pretty high again, but you don't know how it will be in a few months or in a few years, when you want to cash out your NFT for money. It is possible that the NFT that you own is worth absolutely nothing by then. I also think it is not really money laundering if you invest into an asset that is art so that is absolutely legal.
2302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 09, 2021, 01:31:22 PM

Newcastle are increasingly being talked about now after getting a new owner who is richer from PSG and Man City. I can feel how happy the Newcastle
fans are, I believe Newcastle will soon be looking for the best coach and player in the next transfer window. Indeed for their choice of new coach
the strongest candidates are Conte or Zidane, but I agree with you. It seems that it is more suitable to choose Conte who is better at building a team
than Zidane. I'm not saying Zidane is a bad coach, but I see Zidane is not the typical coach who is good at building a team. But if Newcastle finally
appoint Zidane as their new coach, I have no problem with that.

Yes it is true that Newcastle United was probably the football team that was talked about the most in the recent days because in the end its a pretty big news, that another club was basically bought by sheiks, but i highly doubt that every Newcastle fan is happy about that. Newcastle united is the next club with a long tradition that is bought by sheiks just for the fun of it with the goal to assemble a squad that has a lot of big names in it, if those players fit together or not. So i would say every fan of "traditional" football and real supporter of Newcastle United won't be happy about this news. Only the young kids will cheer.
2303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT a trustable? on: October 09, 2021, 01:21:54 PM
In recent days lots of bad news are hearing from usdt and what will be happen if the usdt is a scam, should i change other stable coin, any recomendation for the stable coin?

This is one of the most discussed topics of the whole crypto space in my opinion (along with the very high gas fees of Ethereum in the last year or so) and it is also quite an old topic. The problem with USDT is that Tether always claimed that every USDT that is minted is backed 1:1 by a real US dollar but back in 2019 they changed the wording to "We have enough reserves to back every USDT minted with a real USD". The problem with that statement is, that we don't know what those reserves are, we can not verify them, so in the end we don't have any proof that they exist at all. That is why a lot of people switched to USDC in the last few months.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 09, 2021, 10:25:37 AM
Whether it's a KO or by Decision, Fury would still win this.

Everyone thinks Fury will win, truth is, i do too. Wilder has increased in weight from the last fight where he was 231 to now 238. To me i think its going to make him more slower than before and get tired more quickly. He already had the power for the fight, what he needed was to develop more speed and stamina. Unless Fury let's his guard down and Wilder has plans for a KO considering the weight gain, he has no chance.

I also think that Fury is the favorite in the fight later today because he simply is the way better boxer in terms of technical skills, but he also has to be very careful though. Just take a look back at his first fight against Wilder, he pretty much dominated the whole fight there too but he almost lost in in the end because of that huge knockdown where he barely managed to get up from. So yes, fury is the favorite but he pretty much has to be very careful and attentive during the whole fight, because if he gets hit with a right hand from wilder then it is pretty much over. If he can damage Wilder heavily pretty early like in the last fight then it is easier for him of course.
2305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Battle of supremacy between Dogecoin and Shiba Inu on: October 09, 2021, 10:16:57 AM
The major connections between dogecoin and Shiba Inu are the fact that they are both memes coins and have almost the same investors and supporters, and we have seen how the activities of these investors have affected the growth of both coins within this year one of those investors Is Elon Musk who tweets have turned the markets in different directions. Shiba Inu is presently up to almost 380% within the last few weeks and also saw dogecoin did a similar price hike in the previous month which have proven to the fact that both coins have been on a contesting mood in this altcoin season between Shiba Inu and dogecoin which is your most preferred choice for investment?

How do you measure supremacy in regards to sh*t- or meme-coins?  I mean in the end both of them are absolutely useless and don't offer any functionality for their users and their tokens don't have any use case. So the only parameter where you can compare both projects is probably the popularity and i think it should be pretty clear who is leading here...definitely Dogecoin and rightly so, i mean in the end it was the first project of it's kind and there it deserves to stay the number 1 sh*it- or meme-coin. I also think though that shinba inu is one of only a handful of second generation meme-coins that could still be around in a few years.
2306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: October 08, 2021, 12:57:12 PM
I would bet on OG.  Despite Jesse  Vainikka has left the team  OG remains strong and still has  three players which are among the championship winning side of 2019. I  believe  Team Aster is not a team that can stand up to  OG, but Friday will show whos prediction is correct.
It's not always that they're strong. All of these teams have their own caliber and can beat each other. Despite the experience of OG, they can still lose to Aster.

Also, rand probably took the advantage of the odds. We will see it and forget about Jesse, that's an old news.

Edit: Aster won game 1 Smiley

Edit2 : Aster won game 2 Smiley

Congrats rand!

Really great prediction from rand. After seeing OG and Team Aster play yesterday i really thought that this would be a pretty easy win for OG, as they looked very strong yesterday with their 2-0 wins over Alliance and Thunder Predator, while Team Aster struggled pretty hard against Virtus Pro and only managed to achieve a draw against Invictus Gaming. Team Aster has achieved their first victory now and if they can follow up with another win against Alliance they have a pretty good standing. I also think that Group A has much more interesting matche in comparison to Group B, but that is a pretty subjective judgement i guess.
2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 08, 2021, 08:44:06 AM
Given the absence of Haaland, the home match and the desperate situation of the Turkish national team, because of which they will play to win only, it seems to me that the odds of winning the Turkish national team are very attractive:
2,18 - 3,35 - 3,30
An additional factor that will give impetus to the game of the Turkish national team is the change of coach, which happened quite recently, and now the players will try their best to gain his trust.

Very tempting odds indeed, i know that a football team consists of eleven players and that the absence of a single player should never have a huge impact on the performance level of a whole team but in this case i really think that Norway loses a lot of quality in the offense now that Haaland can't play and even a turkish team that is not really in a good situation and is also not really stable at the moment should not have to many problems to defend against this norwegian team. In the offense turkey always had good players and they still have them so they should be able to at least score 1 goal and therefore win this match and they really need to win.
2308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are privacy coins destined to failure? on: October 08, 2021, 08:34:56 AM
Cryptocurrencies with a transparent blockchain ledger have seen an exponential increase in demand as people join the craze. Coins with smart contract functionalities and Bitcoin are soaring towards new All-time-highs. But the same cannot be said about privacy coins like Monero, Zcash, Grin, Dash, and BEAM. It seems that innovation and mainstream demand for privacy-oriented cryptocurrencies have declined for the past years.

Nowadays, it's all about NFTs and "De-Fi" leaving privacy behind in the dust. If you take a good look at the market, you'll notice that there hasn't been a new privacy coin for quite some time. New coins and tokens are usually built on existing blockchains with a transparent ledger or one from scratch without any privacy features whatsoever. If this keeps up, privacy on crypto might become extinct. The more centralized exchanges de-list privacy coins, the less their public exposure will be. Governments may have succeeded in destroying privacy coins altogether.

Do you think privacy coins are destined to failure? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

As others in this thread already mentioned, trends and hypes come and go and at the moment the crypto space has other topics and trends that are in the center of attention of almost everyone; stuff like NFT's, DeFi, play-to-earn games and sad but true, also all those sh*it-coins that are still appearing every day. That doesn't mean though that privacy oriented projects are dead or that they will never increase in price again the focus of the people is just somewhere else at the moment. There will sure be a time in the future where privacy projects will rise while all the other projects are dropping or remaining stable again. There are also still new privacy projects coming out. Recently i heard about sahara protocol, which sounds interesting, but it is also still very early with not much infos yet. https://sahara.network/
2309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL- Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: October 07, 2021, 02:47:08 PM
Looks like DOTA2 has a tournament going on with The Internationals 10.
Woke up too late for the first of the rounds matches as they are in progress.
Also League of Legends has their World championships kicking off in about 45 minutes.
They can all be bet on here at sportsbet.io Esports hub:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/betsy

All of these major tournaments for esports, with the exception of cs:go, all begin too early in the morning for me to place any wagers on.
Once again, good luck to you ralle14 on those matches today.

Finally it's TI-time and i will definitely tune in into twitch whenever i have some spare time to watch some games because i am playing Dota 2 myself from time to time (on a extremely low lvl  Tongue) and it's pretty interesting to see what kind of tactics and hero combinations the professional teams are using.
Also i did not know that League of legends has their biggest tournament at the exact same time as Dota 2. I don't know if this was planned from the start or if it just happened as a result of the delay of TI because of Covid but to have the two biggest games of that genre playing simultaneously is definitely interesting.
I am suprised that LoL has more views at the moment on twitch, i mean come on LoL is for little kiddies that can't deny.  Tongue
2310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Altcoin journey with small investment on: October 07, 2021, 02:42:03 PM
Interesting thread. 50$ per week is a reasonable amount and if you pick the right projects to invest in, then you can make some money out of that, but of course you can also lose your money, but i guess you are well aware of that. Also your first picks for your investment are pretty interesting. I have never heard of dydx before to be honest but i did some reading now after seeing your thread and that project sounds quite interesting, so that could be a really good pick for an altcoin investment. I am not so sure though about your investments into tron. It's been around for a long time now and i don't see a reason why the tron should suddenly surge in the foreseeable future.
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 07, 2021, 10:57:34 AM
Wow, what a surprise! The German Bild is reporting that FC Bayern München is the favourite for signing Karim Adeyemi, who is currently playing for RB Salzburg. I honestly didn't expect that. I was pretty sure that the player will move to Leipzig next season.

Bayern are favourites for the signing of Karim Adeyemi. The player will definitely leave RB Salzburg in summer 2022. RBS want at least €35m. Dortmund, Leipzig and Liverpool are the other clubs in the race [Bild]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1445848695023484929

RB Salzburg demands about €35m. I think that is a fair price. Now it will depend on whether FC Bayern is eager to sign the player. I don't think the selling price can be pushed down much, since Dortmund, Liverpool, and Leipzig are also interested in a transfer. What do you guys think?

It kinda makes sense though. I mean Nagelsmann came from Leipzig to Bayern before this season and therefore he is probably very well aware of all the good young players with a lot of potential that are playing for one of the Red Bull teams. Bayern usually always wants to have a big part of the german nationalteam in their team so it is no surprise that they are also interested in Adeyemi as he will probably play in the nationalteam pretty soon. It might still be to early for him though to directly go to bayern now, as he would probably be only on 3rd place as an attacker after Lewandowski and Choupo-Moting. It would be probably better if he would play 1 or 2 seasons in leipzig first.
2312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Large-Cap Alts Lose Value Against BTC. on: October 07, 2021, 10:40:46 AM
Altcoins stall against btc, Most altcoins followed btc  BTC’s performance lately, if btc is bullish altcoins will also bullish, but the situation has changed in the past 24 hours. Most of the top altcoins dropped while btc is up.

Cardano, Ripple, Solana, Polkadot, Binance Coin, Litecoin, Terra, and Algorand have also lost chunks of value against the largest cryptocurrency. I think this dropping of altcoin price is temporary and soon it will followed btc what are your insights or thoughts about this?

Usually the market always moves in specific patterns or cycles at least that is how it was in the last years. First BTC starts to climb for a certain amount of time, will all other coins stay stable or even going down a little. After the BTC climbing phase is over the bigger altcoins begin to surge, like Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Polkadot, Cardano big projects like that. This phase can also last a few weeks to months then usually the small cap altcoins are also beginning to rise. I am not sure if will be like in the past years where literally every shitcoin went up once we the altcoin bull began or if people are a little bit more picky already.
2313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 06, 2021, 07:07:58 PM
Real Madrid president seems quite confident about signing Kylian Mbappe next summer. And he has the right to feel that way also. Because Kylian Mbappe wants to leave the team as soon as possible already and his dream team are also Real Madrid. And Real Madrid can actually sign him immediately in January also as far as I know. But I guess that they will have to pay a lot of money not to wait until the end of the season to bring him to the team. But it shouldn't be a problem for Real Madrid. The real problem is that there is a possibility like Manchester City can join the race to sign him also. However, I still think that Mbappe will choose Real Madrid.

As far as i know real madrid has a net debt of more than 600 M €, which is more than the net debt of Barcelona. Kylian Mbappe has a market value of 160 M€ and i am pretty sure that Paris won't let him go in the winter for less than 100 M€ even if his contract expires only 6 months later. I see no possibility whatsoever for real madrid to pay a high transfer fee like that while they are having such a high net debt even though they have never really cared to much about their debts in the past. I also hope that players also consider stuff like that in their decision making and that they choose financially stable and responsible clubs like ManCity or Bayern Munich over clubs like Real.
2314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When ETH GAS Price will stable? We paid 33.74$ GAS price for 10$ token transfer. on: October 06, 2021, 06:58:27 PM
I think ETH biggest problem is GAS price. Today we paid 33.74$ GAS price for 10$ token transfer.

https://etherscan.io/tx/0xc09e5515f8f53b88b9bd4063a33ce8368f9bf0e8e86ebf4c14b86d25d874161b

What do you think, is there any possibility for ETH GAS price will stable?

This is one of the most discussed topics within the crypto space for at least a few months now and rightly so because at the moment the Ethereum network is hardly usable for small traders and everyday users that are doing small transaction like the one you posted in your OP. This is also the reason why a lot of projects and users switched to Binance smart chain or to layer 2 solutions like polygon recently because there the fees are only a fraction compared to the ETH-network.
I would say that at some point in 2022 when the ETH-Network makes the final switch to PoS then the prices of transactions should drop... if they will not...bad times for ETH.
2315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 06, 2021, 05:42:29 AM

In a heavyweight fight anything can happen. As long as he doesn't hold back, like Joshua did against Usyk, then Wilder still has a puncher's chance. Wilder is one dimensional so if he doesn't fight like the KO machine he's been his whole career then he will not make it past the early rounds.

I don't really think that Joshua was holding back on purpose against Usyk, it is just very hard to throw punches against opponents that are always moving their head and body like Usyk did and also how Typen fury does. So as a heavy puncher like Joshua or Wilder you can not just go in and start swinging like crazy from the first minute on or you will be very tired very fast because punches that you miss are extremely exhaustive for a boxer. So you might want to wait a bit until your opponent becomes tired and slower.
2316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most performing altcoin for October on: October 06, 2021, 05:31:34 AM
This month of October has started on a very remarkable note for the entire cryptocurrency market with ethereum almost recovering back to $4500 and Bitcoin seating above $51k price which is a good sign that October is going to be a remarkable month in the prices of most crypto coins, I will like to see your predictions on altcoins market for October which altcoin do you have faith in and what are the indices that will make that happen?

I just suffered a little heart attack when i read your post above and that ethereum is at 4500 $ then i quickly checked coinmarketcap and sadly you just had a typo there. To your question what the best performing altcoin in october may be, i think that this will be a completely new project that is not even listed yet. Sometimes those new projects are doing insane price rallies right after the listing if it is a hyped project that everybody wants to be a part of.
2317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: October 05, 2021, 05:43:49 PM
Could this be the year when Barcelona will reach Europe league finals ? Or this is just to big for this current squad of Barca ? I'm saying this because the UCL seems kinda over for them with 2 defeats in a row and having 0-6 scoring points...I doubt they can qualify from 1st or 2nd position so now they must battle with Kiev to save the UCL season and qualify for Europe League but even here he find great teams who can take out Barca right now and one of them might be just Betis from LaLiga Cool per example.

That's an really interesting thought and even though it seems weird to think about FC barcelona playing in the Europa league it could make a lot of sense, also for Barca itself. At the moment it really seems like that Barca is nowhere close to the performance level of the other big european clubs like ManU, Mancity, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern and Paris and even if they can somehow manage to reach the second place in their group i think they will be eliminated very quickly in the knockout phase. If they have to play in the europa league though they have a pretty good chance to reach the semi-final or even the final and then i think it's a good opportunity for their young players to gain experience and financially it should also be lucrative.
2318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT hype-Who knows what the next big thing in crypto will be? on: October 05, 2021, 05:38:39 PM
Some people are spending millions of dollars on NFTs like crazy these days. They buy so-called NFT art sold out for ten million of dollars (USD) as their Avatars of social platforms.
It sounds ridiculous, which is exactly its charm.
For what I know, crypto behaves in strange and bizarre ways. First it was the ICO hype. Then came the "De-Fi" hype. And now it's the NFT hype. Who knows what the next big thing in crypto will be?

My response is a little late as we are already in the middle of the next hype and this time it is around play-to-earn games that are running on the blockchain. Axies infinities is definitely the leading project their and everyone that has started playing this game a few months ago can now earn a nice amount of money every month with playing a game, which is crazy. At the moment there are launching new play-to-earn games every day and of course 95% of them suck and just want to ride the hype-wave, but i hope that some of those games are actually doing well and will be still here and played in a few years. I invested a small amount of money into Wanaka Farm and i hope it turns out well.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 05, 2021, 11:38:21 AM
Oh in the end the rumor about a new engine for Hamilton was not so silent.

Toto Wolff spoke and he said "the 4th engine it is a possibility for this GP"

I read it in Italian but I'm pretty sure you can find this news in English too like: https://thesportsrush.com/f1-news-its-a-possibility-mercedes-boss-toto-wolff-contemplating-to-take-lewis-hamilton-engine-penalty-in-turkey/

Source in Italian here: https://www.formulapassion.it/motorsport/formula-1/f1-team/wolff-quarta-power-unit-in-turchia-possibile-lewis-hamilton-toto-mercedes-verstappen-red-bull-motore-587549.html

That would mean that he has to start from the very last position in the race just like Verstappen had to in the last race is that correct? Or does he just have to start from 10 or 15 places behind his actual qualifying ranking I am still not sure how the official rules are in this case. Either way, this could be a great chance for verstappen to strike back and also to get the lead in the championship back from hamilton. In the end the last race worked out quite well and lucky for verstappen. He started from the last position and finished second, he will be very happy with that and he got lucky that the rain set in a few laps before the race ended.
Let's see how lucky hamilton will be when he starts from the last position.

Let's just say you woke up one morning and you noticed that something odd is up with BTC and you look closer only to realise that BTC is down to 1$ meaning it's dead to many, would you still decide to buy some or you will exit crypto space instantly

If this would ever happened than i would first check why it happened if the source code was hacked (if that is possible) if someone took over the whole network (if that is possible) or if it was "just" a huuuuuge crash because all of the top 10 wallets just cashed out instantly and simultaneously or stuff like that. If the source code was hacked or the network was compromised then i would not buy any BTC even if they were at 1 dollar because that would basically mean that those BTC are completely usesless anyway. If it was just a immense crash for whatever reason then i would definitely buy a few hundred BTCs but i can imagine you have to be very fast then.
