^  From those pics it looks like Tuchel was initiating something with the hand shake and he was prolly making his grip real tight making Conte react by tightening his grip too.  They're looking like a couple of grade schoolers trying to find out who has the stronger grip.  Lmaooo.

And as for the illegal celebrations, I don't mind it from time to time tbh.  It's good for entertainment value for the fans.  It shows that those guys are just human at the end of the day.  It makes them more relatable.

Anyway...  Who you guys got in the match between Man United and Liverpool.  I see a lot of people are expecting a goal fest with Liverpool winning.
2302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 19, 2022, 02:53:48 PM
Real Madrid will move quickly to find a replacement for Casemiro who has agreed a personal deal with Manchester United and will soon undergo medical tests to head to Old Trafford, and will now Madrid consider signing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes as Casemiro's replacement in Madrid's midfield.

Oof...  Isn't Casimero kinda a banged up player?  He's like over 30 years old now and I think I heard a figure of over 50 million GBP was agreed by United to acquire him.  Double oof.  That's high way robbery by Real Madrid under broad day light.  Cheesy

And I think the Casimero transfer deal, if it really happens, will show how Man United has problems behind the scenes.  I mean who is in charge of picking these players?  Casimero for 60m GBP?  I know the transfer market is crazy these days but Casimero for that price is beyond insane.

~snip

In addition, the same thoughts can be applied to the third defeat in a row for United - zero points after the first three rounds - something unbelievable for what one may say is not the last team in the Premier League.

anything can happen in this match, but Liverpool is closer to a win, and odds @1.6 are value bets, no matter current placement for both teams
United is simply playing miserably, and you cannot hang on name to play against PL teams, all those are playing great football, and Liverpool is playing better than most PL teams

I would assume that @1.6 is on Derby status, if there was not a Derby status, it will probably be @1.4 or similar

At first glance I thought Liverpool was winning this one easy, judging by how Man United was playing their first couple of matches of the season.  But Liverpool will be without some of their key players like Nunez, Jota, Firminho and is Thiago a key player?  I think he's supposed to be this season...  He's out too.  And they're playing at Old Trafford.  So that shouls be a factor going to United's favor too.  I think there a slight chance that it could be a draw.  :/

I'd be picking Liverpool to win at the pool tho.  Bet from a betting perspective I'd be wary of picking them.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 19, 2022, 02:29:01 PM
I have re-watched Usman vs Edwards first fight. Long time ago, when Usman was more wrestler than striker, even then he looked better with his weird punches than Edwards. Edwards is no good at wrestling. But Edwards is good at high kicks and low kicks. Trevor Wittman improved Usmans boxing to new level. The only solution for Edwards to win - kicks, gaining points, running and win by decision. But people dont become champions when working as Nr2 and by points. If Edwards decides to fight in stance, well, we might see some new meme with Usman knocking someone out. Wrestling - I think it will be total dominance by Usman.

Mission impossible for Edwards or we might see a new champ soon? Cheesy

I'm not saying it couldn't happen but it's not likely and Usman is the rightful favorite here.  I mean who are we kidding?  I wouldn't take any risk by betting on Edwards.  But I like that line for the under 4.5 now at 2.26 tho.  I have a really good feeling Usman is gonna starch Edwards.

UFC's live weigh ins start in around 30 mins or so.  Just heard that that Maverick vs Young has been canceled.  Sucks...  I had Maverick high in my lottery ticket.

UFC 278:  Live Weigh In Show
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxQ_-lmP30g

Anyway, who are your best bets for the event?

Edit:

Kamaru Usman (170) vs Leon Edwards (170)
Paulo Costa (185.5) vs Luke Rockhold (185.5)
Jose Aldo (136) vs Merab Dvalishvili (136)
Lucie Pudilova (135.5) vs Wu Yanan (136)
Harry Hunsucker (204.5) vs Tyson Pedro (205.5)
Alexandr Romanov (239.5) vs Marcin Tybura (252.5)
Jared Gordon (155.5) vs Leonardo Santos (156)
Luis Saldana (145.5) vs Sean Woodson (146)
A.J. Fletcher (170.5) vs Ange Loosa (170.5)
Amir Albazi (126) vs Francisco Figueiredo (125.5)
Aori Qileng (136) vs Jay Perrin (136)
Victor Altamirano (125) vs Daniel Da Silva (126)

Everybody made weight and everybody looked good except for Leonardo Santos.  He looked tired and had to have a couple of guys help him walk as he got off the stage.  Under 2.5 rounds at 2.13 could be good imho.  Gordon via sub at 11.00 looks tempting.
2305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 18, 2022, 03:56:07 PM
Hey guys here's a fun fact.  The last time Manchester United lost their first two matches, they went on to win the league that season.  Cheesy  Look it up...  Am I saying they're gonna win the league.  Nope.  But it happened.  What I do think will happen is we could see United lose their first three matches of the season.  They're up against Liverpool next, tho Klopp's boys haven't gotten their bearings straight yet, they're def better than United rn.

When was the last time United had losses in their first three matches of the season?  I don't think it has ever happened in the EPL era.

And what do you guys think of Liverpool to win and under 4.5 goals at 2.04?  Seems like a good safe bet.

https://as.com/futbol/el-atletico-rechaza-una-oferta-de-130-millones-de-euros-del-united-por-joao-felix-n

AS claims that Manchester United have made a 110 million pounds offer for Joao Felix but it has been rejected by Atletico Madrid. Even if the team didn't reject I think that Joao Felix wouldn't be eager to sign for Manchester United as well. Manchester United should be looking for more realistic transfers. Because it is too difficult for them to convince the players whose teams are big and competing in the Champions League at the same time.

Yup...  No UCL football and no prospects of being the best in the league right now.  And Manchester United is looking like a club that's out there to destroy careers.  Signing with them is a sure fire way to send a promising footballer's trajectory to limbo.  :/  I used to laugh really hard at their misfortunes.  But now it's not even funny anymore.  I sometimes find myself rooting for them to have some success.  Their supporters, the real ones deserve better.

And if this bad run continues I could see Ten Hag leaving the club under mutual understanding at December.  Right after Boxing Day...

⚽️  #PL MAJESTIC 7 | FEATURING GOALSCORERS  ⚽️

Dont you think it will be nice if you can post the statistic of each round of the Majestic 7. I mean about the information of the winners, I think it will be an attractive information for readers here. Post it with a simple format below (just example):
Code:
Number of participants: 1000
Grandprize winner: x
$50 freebet winners: 10
$25 freebet winners: 20

That's really not a bad idea imo.  It could encourage everbody to keep grinding and see to it that they make their picks every match day.  And that's the thing for me, I tend to love playing the Majestic 7 for the first couple of months of the season then forget about it for the next couple or few of months then start playing again during the last few weeks of the season.  Lol.  Don't know why but it seems like I'm not the only one since the regs itt stop posting about it too.

As for Elon Musk, why would he say something like that if it isn't true?  I think it's true.

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1559760618537848832

speaking of Man utd, you guys seen their latest transfer targets? Casemiro, Joao Felix and Pulisic... hmm, a storm is coming. Be afraid, rest of the Premier League teams, be very afraid . . . . lol 🤣

Ah...  Trolled once again.  Lol.  It's too good to be true in hind sight.  But there's this guy called Sir Jim Ratcliffe who seems serious in wanting to buy United.  He had a last minute bid on Chelsea for around 4 billion or something that failed.

And yeah, Man United is getting really desperate.  They also got past acquisitions that turned out bad like Fred and the Wan Bissaka guy..  Ronaldo too but at least he's goal scoring threat.

Anyway, just curious.  Is Joao Felix really a flop at Atletico Madrid?
2309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 18, 2022, 02:52:49 PM
Be careful now...  Leon Edward doesn't really have an iron cast chin.  Remember that Nate Diaz wobbled him in the fifth round and could have finished him if Diaz wasn't goofing around.  I'm not saying Edward's doesn't have a chance, he does but it's not likely.

I remember that fight. Edwards was destroying Nate during whole fight, and like he said, the became so boring, so he has lost concentration and failed to block Nates 1-2 combo and ate it completely. But Edwards recovered quickly and there were no chance Nate would win that fight just due to that one situation.

Even if Edwards win, Usman will still be remembered as a better champ. If Edwards would be a champ, I think can be easily beaten by someone like Masvidal or Covington, someone that can go into the head and break mentally.

Edwards recovered because Nate Diaz doesn't hit that hard.  Usman could hit really hard and has improved his boxing by a lot since training with Trevor Whitman.  I think the under 4.5 at 2.26 has some value.  That's 4.5 rounds of Usman looking to starch Edwards.  And Usman did show he could be wobbled too in the match vs Burns.

Here are a couple of vids to watch...

Here are my lottery tickets.  Tail at your own risk.

Usman - Woodson - Albazi at 2.10
Add:  Costa - Pedro - Maverick at 3.70
Add:  Aldo - Gordon - Qileng at 18.89
Add:  Altamirano - Loosa - Pudilova at 130.03
Add:  Tybura at 572.19

^  And it's happening.  :/  Just curious what you think, everyone is welcome to chime in...  Been hearing about the 200 WMA holding for the past 10 years.  I don't think much of it as it's a lagging indicator but do you think that it will continue to hold as it did in the past or will it finally break?

I think the question would make for a good poll for next month's sentiment poll.  I already have a couple of fun questions in mind.  Lol.

Once again, odds on the main event fight are not fair towards the underdog. Edwards is on a series of victories, his previous fight against Usman ended with a decision, and bookies give 4 on Edwards, consider he is rank2 in division. Edwards has a hard chin, never been knockout (so Usmans improvement in boxing wont be a real advantage, taking into consideration that he is a wrestler), similar to Usman has a tank to run full distance. I think the odds must be close to Usman vs Covington, 2-2.5 for Edwards, but not ~ 4...

What Edwards should do is start fast and get to Usman's chin like Burns did.

^  United started really bad because the current squad isn't Ten Hag's squad.  He hasn't even acquired a player of his choice in the midfield and at the front.  When Man United announced their next manager is gonna be Ten Hag, I expected the club to be a Dutch contingent with the squad's core players being some of the best Dutch players.  But no...

As for Elon Musk, why would he say something like that if it isn't true?  I think it's true.  But we'll see.  And yeah we can expect everything fom him.  Including sending Maguire to Mars.  Cheesy
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: August 17, 2022, 02:13:18 PM
^  It shows how pretty much VAR can be useless.  What's the use of having it if the human error by officials on the pitch can't be corrected by the guys running VAR above the pitch.  It's unacceptable.  I'd rather have the game with the human errors without VAR than having it.

Anyway, looking at Man United...  At first I laughed but thinking about it, it's not even funny anymore.  The Glazers might have gotten Ten Hag to sign a contract under false pretenses.  Was Ten Hag promised a huge transfer budget?  United hasn't really made a major signing except for Lisandro Martinez who could not even be that good.

I'm not sure if this is good news and not sure if Elon Musk is serious but he said he's buying Manchester United.  I mean why would he joke about something like this?  I haven't looked it yet but the Glazers haven't made any official statements yet...

And there's this hilarious reply from some random guy.  Lolol.  Cheesy

Anyway, I really hope Man United gets bought by Elon Musk.  Just to have another interesting thing going on this season.  And United needs a fresh look.
2316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 14, 2022, 01:43:02 PM
Carlo Ancelottis career as a coach is coming to an end. Real Madrid will be his last team as coach. He will finish at the age of 65. Currently, his contract runs until 2024. An extension is very hopeless. Real Madrid is the best team and where better to end his career than at the best club. You can see from his statements in the TV that he has changed and become calmer like before. He is a professional and his successes are great: 4x the Champions League and 2x world club coach of the year.
Still not the end woth Carlo Ancelotti career become manager, I think depending with him self although have been 65 years old if want to be manager still have club want yo get his sign's. What achievement with Real Madrid last season success get La Liga and UEFA Champion League trophies I think Ancelotti have chance keep extended contract with Real Madrid because this season become ended his contract with Real Madrid. Keep success give Madrid trophy for this season I think he will get new extended contract about two until three years later with Real Madrid.

I think Ancelloti could be the perfect guy to take over at United to rebuild the club.  He has the record, the experience but at the same time with lower expectations than those hired by the club in the past.

Anyway, out of the managers hired by Man United after Ferguson, who brought the most success?  Is it unironically Mourinho or is it Solskjaer?
2317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 14, 2022, 01:36:48 PM
Here is the result for my picks on the UFC Fight Night: Vera vs. Cruz

Marlon Vera VS Dominick Cruz ROUND 4 KO/TKO - WIN

Those kicks from Marlon Vera have proven lethal, for Dominick Cruz, well Marlon Vera has a tendency of starting the fight at a slow pace, and see all of his opponent's movements better as we can see in the 1st round, Vera just landed I think pretty much low strike on the 1st round but comes the 2nd and 3rd round and everything is different Vera is pretty much in control of the fight and Cruz even go with the takedown but Vera's takedown defense is just superb and not letting Cruz do what he wants, and in the round 4 everything is just letting Cruz set into a trap Chito have set up those punches to deliver a devastating Kick to Dominick Cruz head that knocks him down,

David Onama VS Nate Landwehr ROUND 3 DECISION - LOST

Well, I think this is one of the best fights it was really a war watching this fight Onama is really close and the fight was really close, but Landwehr was really calm in all shots David Onama has thrown, it is just Nate Landwehr has capitalized with his takedowns that David Onama's was not proving anything anymore, it was really a close fight and I can not argue with the results so I am just moving on,

Vera sat Cruz down with a strike in the first round and kinda wobbled Cruz again at the second round I think.  Vera is starting to be a problem at 135.  He looks like he has improved a bit after his loss to Aldo.  I think he should get the winner of Aldo vs Dvalishvili then a title shot if Vera wins.

It was Onama all day in the first but then the guy was fatigued come R2 and R3.  It was a bad look.  I'm not touching Onama from a betting perspective anymore and I'll put him low in my lottery tickets.  Same with Osbourne.

^  The weekly chart doesn't change anything much.  ETH is pretty much still up 100% from the recent low.  And it's been going up for 6 weeks straight now.  That's obv not sideways.  It's breaking out to upper ranges and it's trying to establish itself at the higher range.

...  Sideways is when it's been going through a tight range in limbo with low volatility.  It's nothing like that rn.
2320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for August on: August 13, 2022, 12:46:26 PM
^  Funny how some people are trying to convince themselves that the price action is 'sideways' even for BTC.  I mean are we looking at the same chart?  ETH bottomed out at around 800 - 900 and it's 100% up off of those lows right now.  BTC was at 17k and it's up around 40% off of the low.

As of now, ETH and BTC's current price action is def not sideways.  Look at the chart, ETH broke out twice.
