^  What the tape again...  Gane had the first couple of rounds.  But Ngannou had a bum knee tho.

https://www.mma-core.com/videos/Francis_Ngannou_vs_Ciryl_Gane_Full_Fight_UFC_270_Part_A/10431964

I won't exactly call Gane as somebody overrated as he's an elite striker and he's fast for his weight class.  He just lacks some wrestling.  Even Ngannou with a bum knee was able to control him.

And the books actually rate Jones higher than Gane.  Jones is at 1.62, Gane is at 2.41.  If anything, Jones could be overrated as he's been away from the cage for so long.
1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: February 26, 2023, 02:38:56 PM
Did you guys watch the ONE on Prime event?  Missed it but heard the makn event between John Lineker and Fabricio De Andrade was a banger.  I also heard some comments saying that De Andrade is a beast and could prolly hold his own in the UFC.  And he's just 25 years old.  Seems like ONE is having great talent in their roster recently...

1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 26, 2023, 02:22:14 PM
What's happening with the betting lines?  Just a few hours before the fight, there's a lot of action going into Tommy Fury.  I think it was close to 1.60 just a couple of days ago for Jake Paul.  Right now the line is at 1.77 and it went as high as 1.85 or so a couple of hours ago.

https://stake.com/sports/boxing/international/international-matchups/43306904-paul-jake-fury-tommy

Is everybody still as confident for a win for Jake Paul as his prior fights?  Beating Anderson Silva got my attention but dunno...  Does Tommy Fury have something on Paul?

~
It was really a bummer for most of my bets lost but it was OK the thing that I get frustrated about was the Nikita Krylov vs. Ryan Spann canceled fight because Krylov become ill and the Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Cortney Casey because Cortney Casey withdrew,
There were too many cancelled bouts which was a bummer and Jasmine Jasudavicius fought Gabriella Fernandes which was a short notice replacement, the main frustration is the André Muniz fight, who is coming into the bout with wins against Ronaldo Souza, Uriah Hall and he was no way near those caliber after watching the fight against Brendan Allen which i thought would be an easy pick and that pick messed my parlay  Cry.

Andre Muniz was really good with the stand-up and pretty much getting those clean shots on Brandon Allen but after that kick, Allen timed it to catch Muniz off guard then the takedown, commence then all of a sudden Muniz gave his back that Brendan Allen capitalized and so the rear naked choke was executed on him,
No Andre Muniz was not great in stand up as well, Brendan Allen won the first round just with stand up alone and in the second round Brendan Allen was controlling the positions and when Muniz tried to take down, Brendan Allen reversed the position which makes me think that i overestimated Andre Muniz Embarrassed.

Muniz is a bit overrated, yeah.  I thought he could more with his back on the mat.  But in fairness Allen's 'reversal' happened due to the momentum when both fighters went to the ground.  So he kinda got lucky there.  The third round tho...  No excuse.

The event kinda was disappointing as it had 4 cancellations.  As for my lottery ticket, another break even night.  At least it wasn't an L.  Lol.  On we go to the next one.

Enjoy...

Still with the dominating Redbull car. They would still top it out with it. The race is near and I hope it would be an entertaining season.

From what we could see based on testing, it's gonna be entertaining at the start and up to the end of the first half of the season then it could start to get boring if Verstappen and Red Bull starts pulling away in points.  Merc and Ferrari should up their game in card developmen to give them a fighting chance until the end of the season.  Maybe not this year for Ferrari but Mercedes has some of the best engineers in F1 and one of the best drivers on the grid.  I hope they give RBR a run for their money.

...  For entertainment's sake.  Still want Red Bull to win.  Grin
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 25, 2023, 01:59:12 PM
Shame about the draw last night, probably should have seen that coming but I felt it was close enough to warrant my pick of a Wolves win.

I didn't expect at all Wolves to score let alone to win the game and got for a Fulham clean sheet as bet and also as a win for Fulham in the pool, nothing came right unfortunately but seeing that nothing has changed in the standings means that very few people have opted for a draw.

We are coming near the end of the Premier League season (yes I know we have 3 months) and these rounds are of critical importance to the people fighting for a spot in one of the 22 places that nets you a prize.

Yeah, I not only missed the Wolves upset, I actually had Mitrovic to score on another prediction. Serves me right for not waiting for lineup news.

I completely forgot there are 22 places to play for and not 10 actually. Suddenly my 50+ position doesn't look so bad (who am I kidding, right?). Anyway, I've got a lot more upsets lined up this week. Let's see me get 2 consecutive yellow caps maybe and then see if I can switch back to "normal"?

22 spots are in the money?  If I only knew I would've continued trying to get as much points as I can.  Lol.  I mostly just click and type the score line I feel and think of first after the first couple of months.

How much does the 22nd place pay for?  And how much as you move up a notch.  I think it's cool that our little pool has grown and be where it is right now.  It all started with hilarious saying he wants to start a pool one day and if we wanted to join...  I think there were just around 12 people or so who showed up.

Ferrari is very fast in the single lap but a disaster in the race time and management of the tires so far, unless they are hiding.

Keep the updates coming coinlocket$!  Kinda sad Red Bull not giving Ricciardo some time to test the car.  I think they won't like what they'll see...  A reserve driver showing that he's potentially faster than one of the drivers.  Wink  I don't think Perez will get a contract extension if he doesn't help the team give a consistent 1 - 2 finish every race.  Ricciardo, in a car like that, def could.

By the time the market goes live again Verstappen's line could be around 1.50 to win the driver's championship.  Red Bull might be 1.80 to win the constructor's.  Still kinda high because of Perez's inconsistency.

And here's Ricciardo rn.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

^  Had Krylov at first glance but thinking more about it and looking at both during weigh ins and the face off, I think Spann is a live underdog here.  And for where the line is at, it could be a good gamble.  Have him at the third tier of my lottery ticket and no regrets,  It's putting Leavitt near the top is what I'm kicking myself with.  Lol.

Anyway, here are the weigh ins and the face offs.

Today watching tests I realized that's just one week remaining until start of new season. Before I was sure that there is few weeks break between tests and first race and season will begin in second part of March.
Ferrari has some proposing problems, while Redbull seem incredibly strong so far.
157 laps of Verstappen , it's like 3 full races in one day. As I understand, on 3rd day of testing Checo will have same opportunity to be on track whole day.
Also noticed Leclerc head shaking on straights, I thought that porpoising was just past season thing.

157 laps means they have a good car without any serious technical and engineering shortcomings or problems that need tweaking.  They got a stable and a consistent car.  I think the odds for Verstappen to win the driver's championship will be cut a couple of notches down.  Lol.

I hope to see Ricciardo to be given a chance to test the car.  I think between him and Perez, Ricciardo is a tad faster and be a couple of places up from where Perez was in testing day 2.  IMHO.
1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 24, 2023, 04:16:08 PM
Since this weeks event is going to "not very interesting", and probably lots of you are going to skip and just watch replays, then I suggest you to spend few minutes and visit UFC 30th anniversary page. UFC has been with us for 30 years already. Just scroll down and swipe right UFC history. Lots of cool stuff there (that easily can be found on YouTube).

I was first introduced to UFC probably in 2009-2010, the time I've got unlimited fast internet and accidentally found KO compilation videos on YouTube. My interest to UFC has developed to downloading events from torrents, converting them and watching on iPhone small screen them during lectures  Grin Now I watch almost every UFC event on huge TV on a fight channel Cool

I'd say if some of you guys likes betting on the UFC, it's good to watch the matches of all of the events.  Saves you time from the ol' tape study stuff.  And if you do need to watch the replays, you could skip some parts of the match since you'll most likely remember and get how one guy won, how the other guy lost, whether the win was a fluke, etc etc...

And it's always good to drop a little bet and make it more interesting.  That's why I like full event parlays as I don't need to bet a lot.  I could set my lottery tickets and hope the top ticket wins so I break even and could make another bet for the next event.  Grin
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 24, 2023, 03:09:32 PM
I'll get my predictions out soonish. Although, I'm probably not betting on this weekend. There's more interesting events coming up, and more opportunity to earn in my opinion. At the moment, I'm thinking Nikita Krylov gets it done against Spann, André Muniz against Brenden Allen, for not other reason than being the less experienced fighter, and the fact that Allen has let me down in the past, and finally I'm thinking that Tatiana Suarez gets the job done, probably via decision. There's a few pieshitters as tokeweed would say on this event, so I'd be careful with the odds being offered. A lot of them are a lot wider than the actual fights will show.

It's a good event, I think they'll be some decent competitive fights, I just know the Jon Jones event is going to be even better, and I want to make the most of that weekend with whiskey, and food Wink.

There's potentially a lot of pie shtters in the next event.  You guys could see the difference between my Multi Master picks and my lottery ticket.  Lol.  Speaking of which...  Last call to the Multi Master for those of you guys who hasn't made their picks yet.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5440587.0

Just make your picks..  It's free money and it's fun.

Anyway...  Weigh ins start in around a couple of hours.  Last look before you place your bets.  Wink

Damn, guys. I must have missed 3 editions already, not that it matters, I don't think I'd have picked enough to win anything. So, hopefully that means I've purged the bad luck.

Salah, Nunez, Gakpo, all coming up to speed perhaps?

My next picks are unimaginative, despite injury worries for one or two of them. Mitrovic, Salah, Haaland, JWP, Antonio, Saka, Watkins.

My picks for the coming match day this weekend are Willian, Martinelli, Bowen, Bamford, Watkins, Haaland and Nunez.  I feel like Nunez is starting to turn around the corner and could start scoring some goals on for Liverpool now..

Anyway..  Ampera, Tornike is there any chance that FJ will have a betting market for ASL 15?  Here's the Liquipedia page in case you have no idea what I'm talking about.  Lol.

1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts Blood Bath for Feb? on: February 23, 2023, 01:51:31 PM
I'm just looking at charts of ETH and other altcoins rn and I feel like we're in for another blood bath.  And February could end up bad with most alts ending in red for the month.

It's looking likely that most alts will end up in the red against Bitcoin, but probably neutral or green against fiat imo. I'm still waiting for alts to get left behind once Bitcoin starts really pumping.

I'm not sure what's going on and what's causing most of the market's volatility but it's not looking good guys.  Whales look like they're running stops then shorting the market themselves..  Does anybody what's up with the sudden change in sentiment?

I see you posted this after Bitcoin's correction to $21.4K. Looks like time already answered your question, as can be retrospectively be seen as a natural correction back to support before further upside.

Yeah..  That's why I was asking as it was all looking good before that sell down to 21.4k or so.  Which looked like it was a change in sentiment.  I was wondering why when everything started to look good and seemed like the market sell downs have been exhausted.

To me it looked like a natural & healthy correction, as it seemed unlikely Bitcoin was going to simply carry on to the upside without a pullback, although I was expecting a little lower around $20.9K. Rebounding from where it did clearly left some bulls behind as many were also expecting slightly lower, which just went to show how bullish the sentiment was back then with price bouncing above support rather than within.

On another note last weeks -7.5% drop to $23.3K looked more concerning to me at the time, as it happened with reasonable volume and mostly within 4 hours. But then within a day price completely eradicated that correction with even more volatility. Now I see there are bearish wicks to the upside on Daily time-frame along with bullish wicks to the downside on lower time-frame, very much creating not much else but noise.

But then a couple of days later, everything started getting back to the program again and started going up.  It's now almost up to 25k.  This week is gonna be crucial.  If it breaks out of 25k and holds, I think we're in for a ride to 28k - 32k range.

Not going to lie I was disappointed price didn't close last week above the August high of $24.3K, instead slightly below, but otherwise price is now comfortably above the 50 Week MA ($24.470) as it continues to decline which I think has had an instant positive impact. Regardless of the fact that last week it was at $24.7K and price closed below. If we keep knocking at the $25K door it will eventually break imo.

As you said this week will be crucial, either bullish with a close above $25K or bearish with a close below $24K, as the latter would be the second consecutive weekly rejection from long-term MAs (50 & 200 WMA).

It could be a correction but looking at things now it could also be BTC starting some shenanigans again and starts doing what it did from August to November.  I'd be more comfy saying it's all just corrections before resuming the trend back up again if BTC breaks out well above 25k resistance then flips it, corrects to it and makes it the new support.

Take a look at the chart...  Let's just hope that there's not gonna be some bs news taking everything back down below 20k again.

1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 23, 2023, 01:26:27 PM
Emi Martinez 'will be made available for summer transfer exit, the defeat to Arsenal where he made a fatal mistake especially for Arsenal's fourth goal which made Villa look very bad at that time was the trigger but I suspect his inappropriate celebration during the World Cup victory celebrations also became one of the triggers why he will not be retained by Aston Villa https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/21461435/emi-martinez-aston-villa-summer-transfer-unai-emery/
It seems that even if a big club wanted to sign Emi Martinez, most of them would doubt it because he only performed well in the 2022 world cup, while for the club he didn't perform well enough. Speaking of league competition, of course, every club needs a goalkeeper who plays very well and is also consistent in every season, while for international competition it seems that this is not a good enough benchmark for each club to go through all the matches in every season.
We know very well about that, but actually if we look at the statistics at the World Cup, the Croatian goalkeeper is far superior than Martinez, it's just that Argentina's success in winning the World Cup is one of the reasons why he got the golden glove.

I read in the local media that Ronaldo advised the management from Al Nassr to sign Marcelo, his team-mate at Real Madrid, who currently doesn't have a club, and the Saudi Pro League would be the best place to earn big money.
https://www.msn.com/id-id/olahraga/other/cristiano-ronaldo-usulkan-nama-sahabatnya-di-real-madrid-gabung-ke-al-nassr-siapakah-dia/ar-AA17OGzx?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=0833841e2c134a3a941660fde1b3d033
So indeed winning the world cup and getting the golden glove cannot guarantee that his career will get attractive offers from Europe's top clubs. About Marcelo's rumors I have heard about it and it looks like it will come true he will reunite with his best friend Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.

Source: Transfermarkt

But not only that, reportedly Al-Nassr is also interested in signing Wilfred Zaha from Crystal Palace this summer. We know he is a pretty good player from last season to now, I think Al-Nassr is very serious about signing some players who are in Europe at the moment.

Zaha is worth 32m EURO?  That's making me smile like him!  Lolol!  Maybe back in the day if he wasn't given a plane ticket back home from United going back to Crystal Palace, he possibly could worth that price tag..  But now?  Dunno...  That's really high imho.  And he's already 30 years old?  That should bring it down under 20m EURO as he hasn't really won anything and hasn't been somewhat a household name.

But good deal for Crystal Palace if they pull it off.  They could use the cash to acquire a couple of good prospects.

^  Marketing...  If they're P4P king it means their stock is up and it also means more PPV points for events they're headlining.  Agree it's mostly bs and it's really just something for the fans to talk about.  But for the fighters it's all about getting the most money they can at the end of the day.

Anyway, here's my lottery ticket.  It's different from my Multi Master.  I'm going for underdogs who I think are live to get more value for my lottery ticket.  Dela Rosa is a longshot tho.  Lol.  It's just cos Suarez hasn't been in the cage for a long time.

^  Yup...  Not a Liverpool supporter but it hurts seeing Klopp losing like this and losing overall for a lot of the season.  I don't know what's going on in their dressing room but I feel like the back line could still do better than what they're giving rn.  I mean with the players they have, they should be winning matches or at least make it close and fight for the win.

But what can you do?  Real Madrid...  What a squad.  They're lined at 6 to win the UCL.  There's def some value there imho.

Yeah...  Blanchfield is a pretty good prospect and she's young.  Just 23 years old.  If somehow Shev retires from MMA, there's her, Santos, Andrade could still be in the mix as she took the match on short notice and the French girl Fiorot who's also pretty good.  And there's the return of Tatiana Suarez this coming weekend.  She'll be at 125 now so let's see how she looks in the cage.

Here's the Multi Master.  I think my lottery ticket will not look the same as my MM picks.

UFC Free Fight:  Krylov vs Gustaffson

I like to see a younger champion for the woman's division just Erin Blanchfield is just perfect for me I think she is champ material now, back then I never think of her as a threat to any in the top but after that fight with Jessica Andrade, pretty much it sums it up that she is the real deal her wrestling ability is something to be afraid off for newer opponent in that division, and life Shevchenko didn't retired soon this could be a great fight to watch but because of her young age and Shevchenko's age pretty much Erin Blanchfield could take the W,

Shev may be old but so far she hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.  We'll see her back in the cage vs Grasso at IFC 285.  Should be good as they're both strikers...

But Shev does have a wrestling advantage if it comes to the clinch as I think she's physically stronger than Grasso.  Shev has a hip throw.

Anyway here's another vid to watch before the event.  Enjoy.
