Anyway as for 10 USD per ARB, that's like around 10 billion market cap.  Does anybody really think it would be that right off the bat?  Kinda sketchy imho.
Pure speculation, there is already a lot of comparisons happening between other layer 2 networks that did airdrop before like Optimism.

Check this photo:
This is mirroring the market cap of other chain networks, this is just speculation or prediction. The majority of people really predict the price could be around starting at $1 - $5. So, let's wait for it.
I also love the airdrop distribution because there are only a few people who got big sizes.

That's fine, I guess.  But one thing a lot of us miss in trying to price these things is overall market sentiment and the perceived future potential of the project aka hype.  And right now, overall market sentment is fairly bullish and there's lots of hype with the project.  So I feel like it's gonna be priced more than 5 bucks per token on the get go and rise fast from there then evertually starts slowly descending to a tad above a billion market cap.  Dunno..  Could be so wrong here as a lot of people have been waiting for an ARB token for so long.

Anyone wants to talk about Filho vs Mokaev fight? Whole fight was decent, but knee bar that Filho made on the third round was something. Hard to believe tha Mokaev did not tap, because human knee simply can not bend on such an angle. How can Mokaevs joints survive that - I cant explain. That might be the nasties injury in ufc. Btw, this is 10th victory in a row by Mokaev (4-0 in ufc).

It didn't.  Pretty sure Mokaev has torn ligaments in that knee and could not fight for at least 6 months or more.  But he's still young so I think he'll recover nicely.  If he was near his 30's, that's gonna bother him for the rest of his career.  It could even bother him later down the line.

Anyway, I was avoiding this thread yesterday.  Lol.  I thought I'd win 4 of my lottery tickets until Fiziev sht the pie.  Not that it would make a difference as Usman lost too.  My top two guys...  :/

Hello guys, look at the beautiful chart of airdrop distribution from Nansen, since Nansen helped Arbitrum about distributing the airdropped tokens of Arbitrum from the given snapshot date which is February 6, 2023.

As Nansen said: "The median airdrop size is 1,250 ARB. Over 4,400 addresses are able to claim 10,250 ARB"

The higher addresses are the 1000 - 2000 airdrop size will get.

Cool.  I have a feeling that most of those wallets with less than 2000 or so tokens would be selling them and take profit as there's a huge possibilty that most of them are not really regular Arbitrum users.  Was it last year when Arbitrum had some sort of gimmick about having different mile stones for users to achieve to prep for the airdrop?  But then Arbitrum's devs decided to drop it because it was being gamed by cheaters?

Anyway as for 10 USD per ARB, that's like around 10 billion market cap.  Does anybody really think it would be that right off the bat?  Kinda sketchy imho.

Just speaking the truth... Ferrari approached again with Charles Leclerc being a thousandths slower, but we know very well, because it's no secret to anyone that Ferrari drive much better on Saturdays than on Sundays Tongue

Anyway, apart from the truth above, if you can say something about this classification is that nothing went as expected because I had Max Verstapen being the big favorite in the grid definition... but what I saw is that the leader of the championship, despite of even letting rivals get close, ended up being the victim of a problem that can affect any driver. Lucky for Sergio Pérez... will he be able to take advantage of this pole position?

Perez will try to take advantage of the pole position but then there's a possbilty that if Verstappen squeezes himself into second place and the gap between him and Perez isn't more than 5 seconds and with Verstappen closing in at every lap, we'll def see team orders here.  Dunno...  We've seen it a couple of times last year with RBR and a lot of times over the years in F1...  It's gonna be hilarious but what choice do they have?  If Verstappen is gaining ever lap might as well get ahead of themselves and let Verstappen pass.  It would suck for the fans tho as we wanna see these guys race.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: March 19, 2023, 01:45:19 PM
Does anybody else think that Verstappen will continue to have mechanical or technical issues at the race?  I still have him finishing first in the race like what we saw last year when he had a grid penalty to I think 12th on the grid.  But as he's stlll using the same power unit, who knows what could happen...  It's gonna be a treat to watch him try and pass all the guys in front of him.  Hamilton, Russell, Leclerc, Sainz and Alonso.  Wink  But we'll see.  A DNF for him is also possible imho.

The new trend now is the Arbitrum airdrop, for those people who are not yet aware: Arbitrum to Airdrop New Token and Transition to DAO.

Moving on, what do you think about the starting price of the Arbitrum token when the claiming of airdropped tokens will start around 5 days from now?

I already lot of speculations that are comparing it with other layer 2 tokens that did airdrop also before like Optimism.
Some people tell it will be $1-$2, and some are starting will be $2.5 and some also telling 2 digits numbers that start at $10.

Some exchanges now already have "IOU" Arbitrum tokens whose current price now is already around $10.

(Take note that this is not yet the real Arbitrum token, this is just an IOU token across the exchanges right now.)

Seriously?  10 bucks per ARB?  So if I have 5000 of these babies I get an airdrop worth 50k USD?  That might just save me from all my trading and sports betting losses for the past 24 months and be in the green.  Lmao.

Did anyone in these parts ever use Arbitrum to get in the airdrop.  I visit the alt discussion section from time to time but it seems like we're mostly behind on the info.  Like most of the discussions there are total sht now.  There aren't even funny guys who FUD no more.

Edit:  Btw...  Thread belongs to the altcoin speculation section.  But I guess you started it here with a purpose..?  C'mon, how many $ARB are you getting?  Grin

^  Lol yeah..  I don't follow the EPL much lately.  I just look at the likely winning club's most likely starting 11, check who the guys at the front and the midfield ade for the past couple of matches, check who's injured then make my pick.  It really comes down to luck if you hit all 7 of them.  But the Majestic 7 is free to play with a chance of winning 10k.  So it'll always be +EV no matter what.  But maybe I shouldn't be sharing my picks before that first match starts as a couple of guys could tail you making you share the winnings and make the game slightly less +EV.  Lol.  I don't take it seriously tho...  Kinda...  Maybe...  Winning 10k would be sweet!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Usman - Fiziev
Add:  Shore - Murphy - Mokaev
Add:  Vettori - Hadley - CL Duncan
Add:  Klein - C Duncan - Nelson
Add:  Miller - Carolina - Patterson
Add:  Maia
I like it, obviously I'll be backing Shore for obvious reasons, but he definitely has his weak points, and I'm personally not liking the odds. After his last performance, I thought the odds would've reflected his weaknesses a little more. I'll get my predictions out tomorrow before the event. I know it's a early event though, since it's in London this time around, which hopefully means a good crowd.

Shore will win it imo.  He had a slight level up vs a tough opponent in Ricky Simon at his last time out.  This time, Amirkhani has just one good round in him then he fades.  It could get sketchy at R1 as AmirKhani is good in BJJ and could show the threat of catching Shore with something.  So live bet is the way if you want to somehow get better odds on Shore.

Anyway, 5 more hours to go guys!  This is gonna be great!

And last call for the Multi Master...  Leeez goo.

Ferrari are still continuing to be a big joke. This time there was a need to make a change in Leclerc's car which led to a 10-position grid penalty. It won't be easy for Leclerc to even climb to the second position. This is a big advantage for Alonso as well actually. He was very impressive in his first race with Aston Martin and I'm waiting for him to have an interesting season.

However it is still difficult for Alonso to make it to podium of course. Because there are still Verstappen, Perez and Sainz who are more likely to be on podium. Alonso's podium in the first race was also thanks to Leclerc's incident.

I wouldn't call it a big joke just yet as it's still the start of the season.  These technical issues are kinda expected really and pretty much normal esp with a team with a new set of staff and engineers like Ferrari.

As for Aston Martin, give Mercedes some time imho...  I'm still not convinced until we see Aston Martin has consistently good qualifying sessions and races until Monaco.  If they're doing good by then, I'd start saying we have a new contender for podium spots.

I got Fiziev as he has more tools in striking than Justin Gaethje, has good enough wrestling defense and has improved cardio as seen in his match vs Dos Anjos.  But I don't think Fiziev will pulverize Gaethje.  It's going to be a good fight with Fiziev edging it out.

One thing with Gaethje tho is the shots he's taken throughout the years could be accumulated and is ready for a KO.

As for Usman, he'll improve his chances of winning and make his current line look like value if he goes out there and have a wrestling heavy game plan.  IMHO.  I think he will...  He just wants his belt back.

Right now Justin Gaethje spreading retirement was just rumors, here is the Article So Gaethje is not really retiring and really wants to to be champion first, so Justin Gaethje is full force mind and body into this fight and he really wants to win this, so yes this is going to be one struggling fight for Rafael Fiziev, but yeah I surely can see Fiziev could win here even if Gaethje decide to turn into wrestling once again, I think Fiziev is ready and have answers for Justin Gaethje,

Could happen if he wins vs Fiziev.  But the thing with Fiziev is he has good leg kicks, body kicks, his hands are good and could fight from both the outside and the inside.  Cardio has already improved too.  The only way Gaethje wins this if he draws Fiziev into a mindless brawl and create chaos.  But then again, Gaethje's chin could be shot after years of accumulated damage taken.  I'm so excited for this match!

Last couple of says to play the Multi Master guys...

Alonso is still going to make top 3 I think, and that is how I answered my BSFL, top tip for casperBGD I don't mind to share because who knows maybe I'm lying Wink

 Grin Grin
thanks for a tip
honestly, not sure about Alonso, I am glad to see him on podium after a while, and Aston Martin is good one this one, even Stroll was good in Bahrain
but will decide on that on a flip, odds suggest that Alonso should finish on podium, and my intuition says that he will not

all depends on Ferrari, if they drive as expected, it is hard to expect that Alonso will finish above both of them, and Red Bull is a bit better of all

Alonso and Aston Martin overall could look good in the races before F1 goes to Europe.  That's around 5 - 6 races or so.  It's when they get to Monaco is when the teams have had enough time knowing their cars more and knowing the needed tweaks with their set ups.  I wouldn't count out Mercedes just yet even tho there are rumors that Hamilton is disenchanted with his team and could do a Schumacher and join Ferrari.  Hamilton has a nose for knowing which team is going to do well in the future just as he did with Mercedes.  At the time, almost everybody thought it was a huge risk for him to leave McLaren and join Mercedes.

^  It looked like an easy bet for Real Madrid on paper but the match was kinda a grueling watch.  It's like You knew a goal was coming but after the first half, I couldn't watch anymore as I was getting on edge and had some things to get done irl.  Was glad to see a goal before the match ended.  Lol...  Sad to see Liverpool go but they really had a low chance of getting back with a three goal deficit on aggregate and with the match at the Bernabeu.  If it was at Anfield, maybe...  At Madrid, low chance imho.

Anyway...  Draw for the quarter finals will be on Friday.

This might help you to make a right bet. Gaethje is a base wrestler that did not rely or use his skills lately. What we usually hear about Gaethje - ooohh he has vicious low kicks, watch for them. What I know about Fiziev - his current residence is Thailand and earn for a living by fighting and training with thai boxers. Yes, the guys who rely much on elbows and low kicks. Fizies is 10000% ready against Gaethje low kicks. I would say that Gaethje will be partly disarmed in this fight. Plus Fizies is fast. Fiziev previous fight against RDA, a black belt in BJJ, showed that Fiziev is able to defence against master of subs for 5 rounds, have enough stamina for 5 rounds.

I have gone with Rafael Fiziev just because I think he can pulverize Gaethje and he looks really tough enough to handle those kicks but if Justin Gaethje resolves with his base wrestling maybe he would get back to that but Rafael Fiziev might have a good takedown defense I really think there are many fighters now that have a good takedown defense now just because some fear wrestling, but for me, Rafael Fiziev looks buff but there is still a chance for Justin Gaethje winning this, but again I think Fiziev could win this,

~
I'll give Leon credit for the win, obviously. However, Alex Pereira was a little different, he was always in that fight, and always looked dangerous. Leon, didn't even look competitive at certain stages of that fight. So, while there definitely was a element of luck to land that kick, at least to connect in the way it did. He had the technique, and patience to actually throw it. So, he made his own luck.

I'm quite liking the odds though, Usman at 1.40 is extremely good considering how dominant of a performance it was up until that kick. Whether or not he comes out guns blazing, I think he takes the win whatever way he wants. He's going to be extra motivated to get his belt back, and save himself from the embarrassment of the last fight. I think he's a good one to beef up anyone's accumulator, and should win.

I feel that Kamaru Usman will surely dominate again in this fight, there might be no higher chance for Leon Edwards to escape now, that embarrassment that Kamaru Usman feels will surely linger in him and right now I think all he feels is anger towards the man that steals from him while seeing Edwards still doesn't have any clue at all, well I am still waiting for the Press Conference to starts then I may conclude what kind of mentality Leon Edwards has gone inside the Octagon and about this fight,

I got Fiziev as he has more tools in striking than Justin Gaethje, has good enough wrestling defense and has improved cardio as seen in his match vs Dos Anjos.  But I don't think Fiziev will pulverize Gaethje.  It's going to be a good fight with Fiziev edging it out.

new year,old news.

Leclerc will have 10 positions penalty one next GP for a change on his engine.

 Roll Eyes

There are also some words swirling around that there could be a mass exit happening sooner or later this season.  I know they're just rumors getting the journos excited but if there's smoke there's also prolly fire.

Anyway you got more access to Italian media and the Italian fans...  What are they saying and what's the sentiment around Ferrari?  Are the fans as hopeful as they were last year with Binotto?

Verstappen to win the race is at 1.45 and I was thinking Leclerc going to the podium could be a good spot with his new engine but at 2.70, no value imo.
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 15, 2023, 10:02:00 PM
It's gonna be a crucial few of days for BTC if we see it break above 25k as the momentum seems to be going down.  It also seems like the US market is pulling it down due to sentiment.  Dunno...  Let's see what Asian and European markets bring.  But it looks like they don't have any effect anymore unlike 2020 - 2022 somewhat.  But then again, dunno.

What do you guys think?  Back to 20k or break out 25k?  :/  That could be the new range.

1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 15, 2023, 09:45:12 PM
If Edwards goes into full defence, and be sort of a turtle in a shell, will judges give victory to Usman, if their previous fight scenario repeats? If Usman will work as number one, and Edwards acts more as a counter striker, will it be enough for Usman to win this fight as UD or split decision? I mean if this werent a fight for a belt, then no doubt judges would give Usman a win. But as Usman is a challenger, does he needs to show 200% to get his belt back? Or "usual Usman" will be enough ?
This is difficult to answer as we don't know how judges will score everything but based on just watching fights, mostly the challenger will need to be aggressive and showcase his skills. But I understand where this is coming from, Edwards was supposed to lose on their last match if not for the KO kick in a minute remaining. Perhaps, that will also affect their decision-making as long as Usman is in front of the scorecards. It would be better though if he could put a big gap using his wrestling skills.

I already locked my bet for 5 fights in a parlay.
Vettori, Marvin - Dolidze, Roman
Maia, Jennifer - Oneill, Casey
Nelson, Gunnar - Barberena, Bryan
Gaethje, Justin - Fiziev, Rafael
Edwards, Leon - Usman, Kamaru
Total: @12.38
The fight is too early in our timeline, I guess I am back to just watching the full replays.

Watching their last fight more closely again, Edwards was no push over.  He was hitting Usman with good strikes in all rounds.  Try watching it again without the sound on.  Sometimes it's easy to get swayed with what Rogan and Cormier is saying.  Edwards wasn't broken by Usman in the fight.  He was behind in the judges score cards but I wouldn't say it was total domination by Usman.

Anyway, made a couple of changes in my lottery ticket.

Usman - Fiziev
Add:  Shore - Murphy - Mokaev
Add:  Vettori - Hadley - CL Duncan
Add:  Klein - C Duncan - Nelson
Add:  Miller - Carolina - Patterson
Add:  Maia

Nelson up, Carolina down and CL Duncan up, C Duncan down.  Haven't locked anything yet til after weigh ins.  Could make more changes...  I think Usman could go down a notch or two.

Oh for sure Liverpool has a chance to win.  But to get back on aggregate from a 3 - nil deficit vs Real, dunno.  They could but I think going to pens is more likely.  And a lot more fun!  But then it could be too big to ask for.  We'll see...  It's just Real Madrid as a team ain't no mental midget.  They're mentally solid and they're hard to break.

And not sure why the books have it at almost even between them.  Prolly the 7 - 0 trashing vs United swayed the line.  Lol.

brings back memories to last year Chelsea match against Real
it was a bit lower margin, 1:3 for Real in first match, but Chelsea was up 0:3 during the Madrid match, so it is not impossible at all

and Real finished it to pass through, but overall I do not see as impossible to see Real at 0:3 during the match with Liverpool, although not highly likely at this moment
nevertheless, BTTS is the only betting option worth exploring IMO

Nono..  I'm never closing the door on anything.  It's just we have to think about it with where the line is at, if there's value, the statistical probabilities of something happening, etc, etc...  And with Real Madrid lined at 2.38 or something and knowing that they won the last 6 out of 7 matches vs Liverpool at the UCL makes Real Madrid the spot to put money on imho.

But we'll see.  Klopp prolly has something cooking.  They do play a lot better vs tougher opposition.
