2321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't blame Elon musk and China for the dip!!!!!!! on: May 21, 2021, 04:48:43 PM
Elon musk tweets and the ban on cryptocurrency in China are the biggest triggers for the decline in the crypto market today, if not for these 2 reasons maybe the cryptocurrency market will continue s to increase and the bull run will still be long for the next few months.
News of these days will definitely have huge impact on the flow of the crypto market  but i still don't believe that those are the main reasons why the market is in bloodbath. I see this is just a healthy correction so that the market will be fair and balance since a recent bull run has just happened. So let's continue to dream big in crypto and start filling our portfolio now with cheap but high potential coins.
2322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the motive behind the anti gambling campaign on: May 21, 2021, 10:14:16 AM
Because there are too few of a winners compared to losers in gambling, also gambling isn't a healthy habit to have since it is a vice and it can be addicting. The motive behind the campaign is that they want to help people deter from possibility of gambling addiction.
I get your point and that is simply correct but also they are depriving people that want to gamble and want to spend their money legally .

becoming an addict in gambling is our own responsibility and stupidity , we must study first every details in what we are entering and this is how gamble must be treated .

If we have no solution other than banning gambling, then this world will not be a better place to live.

Just think of cigarettes, we know it's bad for our health but it's not banned, why was that?
Another one is liquor, it could make people make a bad decision when under the influence of liquor, why it's not banned?

Simple because there are people who are responsible enough who know the risk, and they were able to manage it effectively.
2323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 21, 2021, 09:53:03 AM
Because he understands that players are looking for better opportunities, and he understands how SMB and Pangilinan control the PBA.  He is a very vocal coach and I think he likes Jericho a lot and believes in him so he gives him an opportunity to showcase his talent abroad. With that being said, he also understands what his team can do only and it's not as good as the SMB teams.
Yes, that's why many admire Coach Yeng Guiao for the way he handles things and his players. But later on once Jericho is done with playing for Guam, he's good and can easily come back to the team. That's why in the position of Jericho, Yeng understands that the guy has multiple opportunities and he doesn't want to be the obstacle for the guy to take as many opportunities as he can. Not just a coach to coach a team but also like a father to most of the players that he's coaching.
Jericho Cruz deserves to be given more opportunity to play and to be in a better team, it's just so pity that he played with a struggling NLEX team, this team hs not been in the Finals or even semi Finals when coach Yeng assume it, it's very different during coach Yeng time with ROS or prior to that where he has more success.

If given  good opportunities and let him play with well dominating team inside this league, he have lots of skills to showcase, sad thing that NLEX is not that type of team right now.

We've seen their performance from the last bubble, they don't have the right pieces for their campaign, more on offensive guards but lack with big men who can play inside and compete with those big man around the league.

Let see if what coach Yeng have this season, like what you have said it's no longer the same level from what he have before.

He had his team with the TNT, and I really liked his position with the team but sadly he was traded If I'm not mistaken. His first team which is the Rain or  Shine, that's where he really shines, I guess his problem was him being easily injured that's why the team traded him, that was the first time he was traded.

It was a long ago, I can't remember all the teams he played but one thing I will never forget is that this guy knows how to ball.

2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be Prepared for the big dump. on: May 20, 2021, 05:55:37 PM
The market is on bloodbath right now and everyone is starting to panic sell. What I can say is that we should've prepared earlier because we've already seen it coming. We chose to ignore the factors that may trigger this big dump and now look at us, we are all confused on what is the best course of action. This dump is not new to us, we've seen it before and if we will follow the pattern, we know bitcoin will bounce back and recover soon. Maybe the best course of action is to keep on holding and start buying while the value is low at the moment.
Everyone is triggered by this bloodbath but not everyone is going to panic sell. I already know that this is coming since it's not going to be green market all the time. Hodling would still be the best option for now otherwise, you won't catch the next bitcoin's new ath after it recovers.

I think buying at the dip is mostly seen by now but never resort into panic selling. We have seen how bitcoin stand again after its dump moments and knowing there are already strong back ups for bitcoin since bigger institutions are behind its back, a huge price increase is nearly possible after this.
2326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: May 20, 2021, 12:00:17 PM
Well there is still a chance that the fight might happen in the future, as Crawford contract with Arum's Top Rank is reported to be end by October,

Quote
Crawford’s contract with Top Rank Boxing will reportedly end in October 2021. Many have speculated that he will sign on with PBC in an attempt to secure fights with Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence Jr. Time will tell if that’s the direction he will go in.

https://www.fightsports.tv/terence-crawfords-sister-goes-off-on-bob-arum/

So if Crawford sit it out the rest of 2021, and wait for his contract to end, so he can go directly to Manny or move to PBC to negotiate the fight.

The only chance for this fight to happen if Crawford will not anymore renew his contract, hopefully, it will happen, maybe next year we will see this fight as one fight for Manny this year is already enough and that is against Garcia.

Thank you @Jating , nice share, it's good news indeed.

Another fighter of Bob that will not sign on his promotion if this will happen, however, if Bob does not really want that to happen, I guess he should give Crawford what he likes, but the question is, is he really serious about challenging Pacman? If Manny will still not retire next year, this fight will remain open.
2327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 20, 2021, 11:47:02 AM
the game against the Phoenix Suns will be one of the best games in the NBA playoffs this year.

I hope so, hopefully, this will end in 7 games,  it will be pretty much exciting to witness a game 7 in the first round. This is the Lakers, the defending champion, so betting them is like having a very big chance to win in the NBA Finals. I can still see that Lebron is not yet 100%, so I can't tell they'll dominate the Suns here, maybe the opposite will happen.
2328  Economy / Economics / Re: Will China take over the world with the Digital Yuan? on: May 20, 2021, 05:57:55 AM
y
Now the Chinese government has banned all transactions using cryptocurrency, meaning that the Chinese government does not support the development of cryptocurrencies that have been developing so far, and at this time when looking at the conditions of the cryptocurrency market are very apprehensive.
Chinese government has banned the use of cryptos particularly bitcoin. But with the launching of their own digital Yuan, they make it a point that it would create fast global adoption and expect that all people paricularly in China will patronize the use of their own digital currency.

But things seem not to work out because most of the people are still attached to bitcoin and still making transactions online. People are looking for freedom so they will stick for sure to bitcoin rather than being controlled by the government.
2329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl is not the best option as it seems on: May 20, 2021, 05:31:10 AM
Bitcoin just fell down to 39k plus per 1, and those that held/bought bitcoin while it was at 50k have no benefit of holding bitcoin at 50k per 1 instead they lost money. lets say those that will buy at 39k per 1 will have more benefits when its spikes again to 50k. So those that enjoyed holding bitcoin at 50k hoping that it will hit another ATH will have to wait for bitcoin to hit another 50k but still got no  profit, while the 39k buyers will profit 11k dollars. My question is why is they no extra profit for early holders when the price falls and rises agian?
Depend on whos talking mate, because if you are into profiting for short term then HODL is not your thing but once you believe in the coins you are holding even how deep it can fall then you are a true HODLER.

Just do your thing and let others do theirs, we are happy seeing the fall because we can add more to our holdings.
Hodling has always been profitable ever since especially if you are into bitcoin but if you chose to hodl those worthless shitcoins, even if you keep it for years, you won't make huge profits.

But i believe hodling is not for everyone as only strong hands survive at the end of the day. Weak hands may only hodl for short term but when they see the market continues to dump, they end up panic selling while seeing their investments continue to fail.
2330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why complain about the dump when the market warned you???? on: May 20, 2021, 04:55:08 AM
Okay, then lets us ignore these people, but to know that they will find the answers later and make them realize that they don't need to do it. As I believe that these people who keep complaining are those weak hands investors, as they don't clearly understand what is volatility the hardly they will know about Bitcoin.

So these people are helping the market to make more risky and volatile. As they were still investing crypto and keep asking why and why, the more we got notified and it adds more adoption as many people will come due to curiosity.
Newly investors will never stop to complain unless they learned lessons already or they get used to the dump market.

I think it's our own initiative to research first even its own consequences before deciding to invest not just in crypto but in all aspects of business. When a bull season comes, investors expects huge profits but when the market suddenly dumps, they tend to end up ranting. Remember that this market won't go into bullish without having its bearish season first or vice versa.
2331  Economy / Economics / Re: We entered a bear market earlier than expected on: May 19, 2021, 09:42:23 PM
This shows how much influence Elon musk has on crytocurrency with just one tweet bitcoin lost almost fifty-percent of it's value. However I don't think we are into bear market just yet because as some are dumping others are buying the dip It will just take for prices to recover from the correction.
Bitcoin is not really at its dip price so i cannot tell that we are already in a bear season. What we have right now is more of a healthy correction that will enable new investors to enter into market and buy potential coins definitely bitcoin.

The bear season is gonna happen for sure as the market will continue to dump but let's face it together without worries because in the real sense, bearish season is a great opportunity to start filling our bags again with potential and affordable coins.
2332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China bans Bitcoin again in 2021 on: May 19, 2021, 07:53:00 AM
This saga is kind of like when you finish with your partner, and they simply can't get over you, so they keep breaking up with you, only to realize they can't find better. But, in all seriousness China banning Bitcoin has never really effecting the overall adoption of Bitcoin even in China, let alone the rest of the world. I believe, Bitcoin actually gains more traction within China the more they try, and censor it.
I don't think if this news is a reliable one but if its true, China can't really get rid of bitcoin. Even if they keep on banning bitcoin, but they can't control the continuous widespread of the usage of bitcoin online. The more they ban it, the more people will be curious about how amazing bitcoin is.

If this news is made to pull down the price of bitcoin, i think investors will definitely love it because it will open great opportunity to buy more bitcoin that will be added to their portfolio.
2333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A common enemy in the crypto world--Elon Musk! on: May 19, 2021, 01:21:25 AM
For Elon Musk's positive tweets about crypto, I agree and support, but if Elon tweets to discredit crypto, like discrediting bitcoin,
I really don't like it, because once Elon tweets, it becomes hype and can affect the public. I don't like the way bitcoin can go down
this low because of Elon Musk's tweets. This is very detrimental to me because Elon Musk's tweets of my assets in trading suffered
a lot of losses.
That only proves how Elon Musk able to manipulate the market in his own crazy way. And there's nothing we can do with that than ignoring him otherwise, our emotions will be much affected.

Now that Tesla has announced that he has not been selling any bitcoin, so we'll be quite confident that bitcoin won't create dump this coming days. Unless if Elon will come up with another tweet that will create negative impact to bitcoin, then maybe dump will be inevitable.
2334  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 18, 2021, 11:48:41 PM
I would quit my job if cryptocurrency received worldwide acceptance, be stable or at least less volatile. But that is hard to achieve and it will take ages to achieve. What I dont like in general is a huge volatility. I have a family to feed. During last 2 weeks, my portofolio's value has decreased for 20%. I cant imagine myself going to my kid and saying that now we will wear 20% less of our clothes and we will eat 20% less food. Because an explanation like "you know, that is all because some uncle wrote something on twitter" wont be accepted or understood.
There will be always unpredictable changes in crypto as long as its remain to be volatile and i think we will live for it. So it's really hard to retire from your well paid day job and focus on crypto if you still don't see financial security up to these days.

But i also get to know a person who's brave enough to retire from his job and now fully dependent on crypto. He's already enjoying the luxuries and all the good things in life but this one is definitely a high risk decision. But you will not also experience the best of crypto if you're not willing to take the risk.
2335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question no one ever asked on: May 18, 2021, 10:05:01 PM
Honestly I haven't seen anyone asking this type of question on here before so I think maybe I should? Can crypto gets to a stage that bear market will be eradicated? That we won't have to wait 4 years for another bull season to come?

Bear Market can't be eradicated because it is already a part of the market system.  And if it is eradicated then the market won't have a bull season since there is no bear season to compare with. Market will be boring straight line.  No massive buy, no massive sell, no window for reentry.  Investors and speculators will skip this kind of market for sure and the market will eventually die.
This is what crypto makes more appealing to its investors and its all because of its bearish season. Imagine if the market keeps on pumping everyday so it will always stay in a high price and only few investors can afford to take the risk. The market will never be that thrill and exciting and at the end of the day, it gets more boring and lifeless.

So you see, this bearish season or healthy correction gives us always the best opportunity to engage in crypto. If it will be eradicated, i don't think the market will reach another decade again.
2336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should you buy bitcoin right now? on: May 18, 2021, 09:38:03 PM
Its value is increasing day by day.

For the past few days it's been decreasing day by day Cheesy

Nobody is going to tell you what to do, you have to decide for yourself.

If you don't own any bitcoins you should. That's my opinion. I won't tell you when to buy, but I strongly believe that every single person on this planet who has some spare cash should buy some bitcoin. It's too great of an opportunity to just watch it pass you by and the potential profit outweighs the risk.
If all people are saying how much potential bitcoin had that  should never be missed, then i should say that start investing in bitcoin right now. If you truly believe in bitcoin, you will definitely take the risk. It won't matter if bitcoin is not in its dip, but the fact that you will still hold it for long term, then it will eventually give you huge returns.

Bitcoin has always its flaws with its expected pump and dump moments but as long as it remains volatile, price fluctuations will do repeat again and again. So grab the opportunity in front of you so you won't make regrets later on.
2337  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk really has the ability to manipulate the bitcoin market on: May 17, 2021, 11:47:39 PM
This isn't for long, sooner or later the market will tire of it. Also, he's only able to do it because the market is in bull run so it's sensible to the news. When Elon was tweeting about BTC in the past years, it barely flinched. This just shows how much of the price today is based on psychology and speculation rather than strong fundamentals.

Maybe after Dogecoin will crash, which is bound to happen soon, Elon will lose interest in crypto and we will all move on.
Things really change when Elon entered crypto. But still we should be thankful because  he made bitcoin hyped before and so it reaches another peak price. But when Elon tweeted on Dogecoin, bitcoin price has suddenly dropped. And so haters for Elon have started to appear.

But they say all these things are temporary. Just like how unpredictable this crypto market is. Elon will soon to stop all these messy things and all those crazy manipulations. Crypto will be back to normal again and bitcoin will soon to regain its strong fundamentals.
2338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cryptocurrency market is nearing the end of a bullish market? on: May 17, 2021, 11:02:55 PM
Whatever happens everyone should be prepare when the bull season ends, as of the moment taking advantage of the open opportunities is the best thing to do because bear is just around the corner, crypto has still a lot of barriers ahead.
Bear market is inevitable so its really good to be prepared and have some buying power already so when the market hits the rock bottom again, you can buy more. If you still have chance to take profit now, do it because the next trend is unpredictable and we might not be able to rise again on this correction. Though BTC shows some life already, it is still not safe to say that we can break resistances, the volume is still weak.
Even if bullish trend is near to its end, we should be thankful for it because we know we are making profits despite of the market's pump and dump moments.

And since bearish trend is definitely coming whether we like or not, let's start collecting our hard earned money again so we can eventually grab the chance again to buy more coins that we can add to our portfolio. It's best to face the bearish season with positivity rather than stucked to being negative because bull season is already over.
2339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you define "mass adoption"? on: May 17, 2021, 10:07:08 PM
A lot of people talk about "mass adoption" and "mainstream adoption" as a milestone for Bitcoin and crypto. How do you personally define these? Have they occurred yet?

Can you buy whatever you want in almost any store around the world and pay with bitcoin? If the answer is no then we have not reached mass adoption if the answer is yes then we have reached it, that is the kind of level of adoption that we want, and it is obvious we are nowhere close to that level of adoption as bitcoin is being used mostly as an asset to speculate with and as a store of value, but do not worry, the day will come in which this will be true and we will be completely free to use our bitcoin as we want.
Hopefully, it will. Mass adoption will only take place if bitcoin will come to an event where it will be accepted and used by the public on a large scale. This means if bitcoin will be already used and accepted as a common payment method in various outlets, then we can say that bitcoin has already achieved its main goal.
2340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the collapse of the media mean the collapse of cryptocurrency? on: May 16, 2021, 10:52:41 PM
I don't think so, mass media is only news for an event or situation. Keep in mind that cryptocurrency is a technology that is carried through the blockchain, of course to turn it off through even more advanced technology. The media is usually only a consideration for some people to make decisions. So it is not absolute that the media will kill the cryptocurrency world. No need to worry about the media cornering the crypto world, because on the other hand there will be media that are pro with the crypto world.
Its obvious to say that media these days are affecting the value of cryptocurrency just like news from big celebrities either positive or negative give an impact to crypto. But it doesn't mean that the existence of crypto is fully dependent on the media.

Crypto has definitely its own role to its users and investors just like media which also give service to the people. But the collapse of media won't bring end to crypto. And same goes to media too which i think is too far to be dead.
