1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who are the top crypto influencers on: March 31, 2022, 09:11:54 PM
Who are the top crypto influencers  to follow in twitter
I only follow CZ, the rest are just doing their jobs and get paid. This is the reason why crypto influencers sometimes are not good to follow because they only focus on what they can gain, rather than on what they can give to those who believe in them. However, there's no wrong following some respective influencers but always do your part too, keep researching and learning. Its always an edge if you are always knowledgeable on every aspect of crypto.
1382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: March 31, 2022, 08:36:13 PM
I will definitely teach my kids the basics of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology but I won't force them to follow my path but just let them decide for themselves when they are old enough and aware of everything. Entering the market is a good thing as most parents want their children to take over their business, but apart from crypto there are many jobs that can earn more so they relax and should respect their decision.

Neither did our parents force us to follow their path, so we should not force our children to follow our will.
Teaching and guiding them about bitcoin will always be part of my goals when my children are already mature enough to understand cryptocurrency and its volatile market. But if i think they're not really interested to continue what i have been doing, then maybe i'll just let them find their own passion. Forcing them about bitcoin has never crossed my mind, controlling them won't do good for them. Let they find their art and passion in life, as much as i found art and passion in bitcoin. At the end of the day, whatever they want to do in their lives, parents should always guide them but not to control them.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 31, 2022, 03:26:14 PM
^^ It was C. Paul who orchestrated the win of the Phoenix. He hit a jumper and then forced Green to make a turnover. And then Booker hitting clutch free throws.

I thought that the Warriors are going to win this game, they have taken the lead by a point, but the Suns defense and Paul playing as usual as the "point God", to control everything in both sides of the court.

Booker scored very important points, they managed to score with the right positions in the most difficult minutes. Chris Paul also played pretty well and the Phoenix Suns forwards did their bit too.
Jordan Poole was the best player of the game in Golden State Warriors, but the other players in the team were not very successful. As a result, the Suns won the match Smiley

Booker also was on the verge of throwing the game away with errors in back to back possessions, first it was a turnover and then he missed a turn jump shot but still fouled Jordan Poole and sent him to the free throw line. but kudos to Warriors and Draymond despite a few made errors, he has really improved the Warriors performance and it was easy for Poole to get in a good rhythm with Green always picking him out well and giving good screens, If Klay was have a quite night then perhaps, Warriors could have won the game.

They could have won the game, but that's alright, Klay will bounce back by the next game and I expect to see him produce a good number. Klay is still not 100%, so I don't really count a lot from him, I just want him to be healthy so the splash brothers will be exciting to watch in the playoffs.

Who would have thought that the undermanned Warriors would give a scare to the Suns.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 31, 2022, 02:44:58 PM
I try to check on Butler's twitter account and I can't find it.

Anyhow, yeah, I think the fight is fixed already, Casimero and Butler are already has a go signal. Even the undercard is already set and as expected, almost all the boxers involved are from the UK.

So I guess we really have to wait now, those social media are trying to messed up everything.

Can't find Butler's tweet also in his twitter account about asking MP on who is he going to fight with and with that being said I believe that if there's a deleted tweets of Butler I don't think it will affect the scheduled fight of him against Casimero. I believe that this fight have had scheduled in fix but let's see if there's any further adjustments which I hope not because bettors and boxing fans are really looking forward on this battle and this has been moved for long time since last scheduled.

Let us not make it a big deal, that's only a rumor without evidence. Casimero is depending on his belt, so there's no reason Butler would be looking for another opponent because if he wins here, he will become the champion, and not only that, he can also fight the winner of the Inoue vs Donaire rematch.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 31, 2022, 02:06:33 PM
Pangilinan will choose ginebra to became a champion in this conference.

What? Why would he do that if that's not even his team? Ginebra is owned by SMC, while Meralco is owned by Pangilinan, so that's wrong.
If Magnolia will advance, it will be Cojuangco will decide on which team would win ( that if they will rig it).
Cojuanco owns Ginebra, there might be a confusion here.
This may look unfair for Magnolia if Ginebra will be the favorite team to win since Magnolia players also work hard to get into this level so its better if the owner of this team let the coaches and players to play and aim for the prize, which can be more interesting but seriously if Ginebra vs Magnolia, we can expect game 7 here.  Smiley

That's right, Cojuangco has 3 teams in the PBA. He owned Ginebra, SMB, and Magnolia, and these teams are real championship contenders. If Magnolia will play Ginebra, I don't mind which team will win as long as we will see a game 7.
1386  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has trading been for you during this Ukraine and Russia war on: March 30, 2022, 11:32:21 PM
My trades are not affected despite the wars between Russia and Ukraine. I keep trading even though the market is not very good. Do some scalping for a little profit. The bitcoin volatility is indeed high and the price is unstable, this can be put to good use.
There is always an advantage if you trade with skills and expertise because even if the market creates unstable prices, you can still find ways to make your trades profitable. Something that newly traders can't relate. But as for me, i was focused more on DCA and take a break from trading when i think the trading market is not sufficient enough to provide profits.
1387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there no altcoins that can replace Bitcoin? on: March 30, 2022, 11:04:12 PM
Because only Bitcoin is decentralized and that, among many other features, makes it unique. People have recognized this over the years, and those who believed that some new crypto king would emerge were not only disappointed, but also lost a lot of money. All these coins you mentioned have nothing (at least for me) superior, but they are trying to be better than Bitcoin with some innovations that most people don't need or don't understand anyway.

To be honest, everyone is looking for something to buy cheap and one day sell for a thousand times the price. This is how the entire altcoins market works.
Decentralization makes bitcoin more unique from the rest of the coins. And while most of the altcoins are centralized, they are also created based on the concept of bitcoin. So they are not made to beat bitcoin, but to follow the path of bitcoin.

However, this perception is only made based on what is seen in the present. There might be an altcoin that will soon to overcome bitcoin in the future, who knows?  But for now, bitcoin will always be the king of the crypto market and the most in demand crypto in the market.
1388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be too greed for more gains.... on: March 30, 2022, 09:45:19 PM
I want to share my experience as a newbie in crypto....I started my crypto journey in 2021, and that year is very bullish as a starter which I could gain almost $6,000 or more if only I wasn't to greed for believing it will go more higher... those  gains are almost from NFTs (games and airdropped), I didn't take profit even it reached ATH until it fall to the hell lol Grin and some are turning to rugged tokens Sad. Im too late to asked for advice here in forum ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5388154.0 ) and now its too late that I took my profit which is less than half lol.... my advice to newbies in crypto here is always take profit don't regret if it goes up, don't be too greed. stay connected here in forum for advices. Smiley
Being greedy is never a good thing when it comes to investing and even in trading. That will stop you from seizing all the opportunities that is coming in your way. Always take time to sell and make profits if you see positive chances no matter how small it is. Being contented will help you to overcome your greed and you will start to chase every opportunities that have signs of profit making. As long as your not seeing yourself losing, that's a good sign that you are still profitable even with small amount of profits.
1389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bounce back to 60k in this year? on: March 30, 2022, 08:55:37 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if we bounce back to ATHs this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if we slowly just go down throughout the year either. The current state of the markets in general has just been so "different" for a while now due to so much stuff going on in the world that I really can't bet on one side with huge conviction.
Looks like the market is now heading to its $50k and hopefully move forward to $60k. I think this is not surprising though as the market is just hitting around dumping and pumping its market value. But we should not be more confident this time as the market may easily fall again and ends ups having a bull trap only. Its better to stay neutral and always be open for the both sides of the market.
1390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Strategy on: March 30, 2022, 08:12:50 PM
Everyone should know that there is no perfect strategy, and you cannot get a 100% result. Life is too much of a complicated thing to be that kind of "perfect" or easy when it comes to different parameters in life. There are too many factors to consider when trading, and you cannot accompany it all, just the data in front of you. The best thing is the management of expectation and risk.

Averaging is one way to win in trading, especially if you want to hold it continuously. You don't need to be too concerned about the current price if you consistently buy the asset.

Confidence is built up in time, IMO. If you know what you are doing, then I think you are already safe with that.
You can be a good or an expert trader, but you will never come up with a perfect strategy, only a strategy that will work on you temporarily. And the more you work with your own strategy, the higher the chances to end up with a successful trading. However, confidence in trading will not be develop easily, hard work and perseverance in trading will build it in time. But no matter how confident you are, losses will always be inevitable in trading, you just have to be more wise and smart to control and lessen it.
1391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe it is to invest in cryptocurrency on: March 29, 2022, 11:18:00 PM
Well the truth is that bitcoin and or other cryptocurrencies are not that “safe” in regards to investment. They would be considered highly volitile investments, if you view then as such (investments). As with any volatile food investment is should normally be a smaller more “gambling” part of a portfolio.

The level of safety in investment depends on each investor. Each person will have different thinking and investment methods, so they will bring different profits and risks. As with all financial investments such as forex, stocks and cryptocurrencies, there will always be certain risks. Nothing is 100% safe.
In all aspects of investments, there is no guaranteed safe and secured. All comes with risks and losses. However, if you have skills and proven strategies to make your investment works, that gives you an edge over the market. But with cryptocurrencies more particularly bitcoin, you will never go wrong investing in it as long as you always buy at the dip and sell at its peak.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto wealth can only be built in bear market on: March 29, 2022, 10:01:17 PM
We are still in bull market because real bear market is when all coins loses 90% of their value but I'm still confused why we are still in bear market, if I have to use past bull and bear chart we should already be in bear market right now, I've stopped buying alts for now.
It is a matter of perspective I say. For some people who bought at 60k, this is a bear market, but the ones who bought at 10k it is still a bull market but less than the maximum possible one.

Altcoins though always are in bearish accordingly to me. Not worth putting money in compared to Bitcoins.

But it is true that majority of buying of Bitcoins should be done in bear and not in bull otherwise you get into a net loss condition. Only then you can profit from the long term rise in price.
Well, its hard to know if the market is still bullish or bearish. But as long as you start buying bitcoin following DCA and hold them, then you will never have to worry regarding the market conditions because you are only selling them at a high and reasonable price. However, if you want to go all in buying, that may be hard on your part as the market value suddenly goes up or down, but as long as you intend to buy bitcoin, it will be a sure win game in the future.
1393  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand or know the whale's next move? on: March 29, 2022, 09:23:36 PM
There's no such like that existing.

If someone tells you that they know these signals, then, they're likely not telling the truth and just want you to be part of their group. Whales probably don't have these exposed groups to talk about their next move.

It's likely when you try to join a group, it's more of a pump and dump group so avoid such.
Whales moves are always unseen and that makes the market more unpredictable. If we can track their moves, then that will refrain them from taking advantage of the market and taking advantage of us. Whales do often make profits when we are losing, and they always dump the market that makes us more panic and eventually lose our investments. Whales hold mostly large amount of bitcoins so they can easily manipulate the crypto market and its price fluctuations.
1394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you tell your friends about your crypto achievements? on: March 29, 2022, 08:34:22 PM
Do you tell your friends about your crypto earnings and trading strategy?

Sometimes it's hard to keep it to myself, but at the same time, I don't want to share my trading lifehacks.
Do you share with your friends?  Tongue

To be honest, I am not comfortable in sharing how much I’ve earned in crypto to my friends no matter if it’s in real-life or in social media. Why would I do that? To prove something to them like a “not to brag, but to inspire” statement?

While I see most of my crypto friends on Facebook are crazy enough in bragging about their crypto earnings every day (like they can’t live a day without bragging so much), I just remained silent and staying low key. In fact, I am technically inactive on Facebook since the beginning of 2022. In other words, I’m just a silent reader.

Coz’ if they keep doing that, one day karma will return to them. They might be targeted by scammers, criminals, etc., later on in stealing their money and other possessions. Not only that, some of the social media friends might reach out to you to borrow them money on a consistent basis.

And yes there is already a case that a woman was bragging about her crypto earnings, and then one day some men declared a holdup to her early morning in the street, assaulting her and get away with her possessions and important stuff.

Back then, all I am sharing is just my travel experiences, news updates and videos about cryptocurrencies, etc., and not how much I’ve earned, etc. If they do ask me one day in private, I’ll just educate them and not showing my exact earnings to them.
Indeed, that's the best thing to do, to remain private and low key. Sharing your crypto earnings even to your close friends is never a good idea because its inevitable that at the end of the day, someone might get jealous on you and plans something bad like stealing what you have. Sometimes, even closest friends can be your best enemies so you should not trust people easily most especially when it comes to money matters. Greed and jealousy are always there, and people may find it hard to control most of the times.
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Holders - When Do You Plan To Cash Out? on: March 28, 2022, 11:33:45 PM
For those people who are long term holders of btc or any crypto, do you have a plan of when you would sell it?
Im not certain if I can consider myself as a long term hodler since im not like others who can ignore their crypto even for long time because they can sustain themselves financially and not struggling.

In my case, I have set target price for my Bitcoin and altcoins on when im going to sell it. But I still take profit at times if my coins had a huge increase, this is to enjoy some of my earnings. Im holding some of my alts for few years now, but when it comes to my Bitcoin, there are times I get tempted to sell it especially if im really in need of money.
There's no wrong actually if you keep your bitcoins for long term hodling, but its certainly not a smart move for a wise investor. Yes, you can hold it as much as you can but you can't hold the assurance if its value will always moves up. There are times that its price suddenly drops down and then you miss the chance again to make profits. So its a always a smart idea to set your target selling price so you will also gain profits and not just on accumulating more bitcoin. Investing helps you create profits and capital gains, so you should always find time to sell your coins at a good price.
1396  Economy / Speculation / Re: No FUDs will win the market on: March 28, 2022, 09:20:33 PM
The more you understand the flow, the better chances that you'll be getting from the asset that you are investing.

Definitely, learning from experience makes you a better investor and a trader, and you will not easily panic like the newbies who are into this market because of FOMO. When an investor gets into FOMO, most likely they'll also panic due to FUD, easy as that.

FUDs will never be out in the market and newbies always fall for them. But if we keep on gaining experiences through investing and trading, we will get used to the market and that FUDs will only be a natural thing for us. And from that, we will not be affected anymore by different FUDs as we respond to it more calm and relax, which will lessen the risk of losing because of not panicking. Through experience, we become wiser and smarter in facing the market.
1397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting more skills in trading on: March 27, 2022, 08:02:45 PM
Just like most things in Life, in trading there is the theoretical part and the practical part. Theoretical is just like the initial guide, especial if you are a newbie in trading, but the most important aspect is actually practicing.

You can never learn how to trade if you are not practicing and with each trade you open or close, you learn something. Practicing also means you have to deal with emotions which you don't experience if you just watch YouTube trading tutorials.
Learning in trading is more achieved through experience, but learning the basics first prior to experience is also important. You can gain knowledge from reading books and watching video tutorials but don't stop there. In fact, learning in trading happens every day particularly every time you trade. Experience will always teach you the best lessons in trading, and by overcoming every losses in trading, that will certainly motivate you into a good trader. And being a good trader means you develop your own discipline in trading, and you know you can't be successful in trading if you use your emotions over your brain.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 25, 2022, 09:26:09 PM
By the way, this news is just in -

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-10640593/Mike-Tyson-reveals-demand-1BILLION-fight-Jake-Paul.html

It is not Logan Paul, but Jake Paul he wants to have a fight. But he is demanding about 1B bucks in case the fight will happen. He said he has no money, so he's willing to do the exhibition fight and sign the contract.

I don't think they can achieve that amount as the known highest grossing PPV was Mayweather - Pacquiao generating $400M. So $1B for exhibition match? That's very far from happening during this pandemic and war crisis.
If a person is not able to hear, then especially unreceptive ones need to be explained in another language, in this case, everything should be clear to everyone in the language of money. In the end, this is a legend, and if a person knows his own worth, then why not. Of course the main message of this is to just leave him alone.

Demanding that big amount is only tantamount to saying he is not going to fight Mike Tyson. These Paul Brothers are just messing around in the boxing world, they are only trying to pick a fighter that they could beat, well, except for Logan who has not won a fight yet.

Jake Paul thought he is more valuable than Pacman and Mayweather, that's insane, he should get himself check first because the mental issue is normal these days in boxing.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 25, 2022, 08:56:13 PM
Dbag scam team/league does it again (3rd game in a row), NLEX up 39:23 after 15min and in the next 15min they are 12:33 , makes total sense.

When does FIBA or any supervision look into this shit and stop this?

Next game and NEXT scam, lol. Same as last game, leading whole start of the game until 43:33 and then some minutes later it is 49:58, another easy peasy 25:6 run against NLEX, as always .

Still not rigged when it happens every game?

It's still not rigged for me. what are you thinking? do you expect that the favorite always wins the game? Come on, this is a semi-finals series, every team will adjust especially those teams that are losing in the series. Actually, if you are a bettor and you are aware of the system, there's nothing to worry or complain about.

You'll only call a game is rigged when the outcome is opposite of your expectation, but don't mind it brother, it's normal, sometimes people have their personal opinon even though they don't have an evidence calling the game rigged.

3 of the last 4 games NLEX did this, leading by 10-16 points and then totally stop playing and getting a 25:6 (or similar run), I didnt even bet on this rigged shit today because its obvious now whats going on in this dirty league. Once ok, twice maybe, but almost every game? U are kidding right?

I don't know about your observation, but for me, I think everything is normal. it's only rigged when they are ensuring a specific team to win, and that huge run you witnessed in the past games, you should not be surprise with that as after all basketball is a game of run.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 25, 2022, 12:13:13 PM

I will not be surprised though if the Lakers can't clinch into the playoffs because on how they are playing the whole regular season.
Exactly, because their struggle has been so consistent all season long.

I think Davis' comeback can give some spark to the team (kinda optimistic with him) but still isn't enough for them to be added in the championship conversation. I just hope that the Laker fans isn't disappointed on how they played this season or... there are some who just became a Laker fan because Lebron is there isn't it? Bandwagons Cheesy
I believe it's too late for him, he has not been so active and playoffs are more physical, so most likely, he might get injured again, or if he would be careful, that would decrease his energy level in the game.
