1321  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and investment on: April 21, 2022, 10:41:16 PM
We all know that almost the entire world is currently experiencing variable inflation, and my country is no exception. Almost all goods prices have gone up, financial stability has been disrupted and most of us have had to incur additional costs to pay our bills due to rising tariffs and taxes.

At the same time I am still thinking about investing even though I am really having a hard time achieving financial stability at the moment. If previously I could save 50% of my total income for investment then for now only 25% seems difficult. If you are also experiencing this condition, then I have a few questions to answer.

  • Will you continue to invest even if it is only 10%-20% of your total monthly income?
  • How do you achieve financial stability during this inflation?

Share some of your thoughts, I think it would be good to consider especially as long as this kind of condition persists for a long time.
The current high inflation is making our lives miserable by spending too much from our income because all the goods prices have been widely increasing. And if we do nothing about this, we will end up living in mess and suffer extreme poverty. However, if we save any amount for investment purposes, that will prevent us from suffering inflation in the future. Regardless of the amount, i think it will always be a good idea to invest particularly in crypto because as the crypto value appreciates, the returns will certainly a huge amount. Thus, increasing the probability of making us financially stable in the future.
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: April 21, 2022, 08:32:33 PM
I will definitely teach my kids the basics of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology but I won't force them to follow my path but just let them decide for themselves when they are old enough and aware of everything. Entering the market is a good thing as most parents want their children to take over their business, but apart from crypto there are many jobs that can earn more so they relax and should respect their decision.

Neither did our parents force us to follow their path, so we should not force our children to follow our will.
For sure, since i am into crypto, i will also teach my children about crypto and all its future benefits. But i am also aware that every kid has its own interest, and when i don't see the interest on crypto even if they mature enough, then i don't think i can force them to like crypto instead. I used to tell them that i will always support their future endeavors in life so i have to keep it, even if crypto is not part of it. After all, as long as they have passion in their work, most often they will succeed from it.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No condition is permanent in crypto on: April 20, 2022, 11:44:05 PM
Same Old feeling  Grin

When the Bull market comes it always feels like it's here to stay and many ends up believing that there is no such thing as a bear market.

When the Bear market comes everyone feels like it's over for crypto and no Bull market is coming again, maybe because got tired of holding on and on.

In the crypto space no condition is permanent, get ready for both sides because they are inevitable.
That is how crypto market works. There will be bullish and bearish, and some stage of price correction. But if you can take advantage of every market's condition, no matter how unpredictable the market is, you will still find way to be profitable. But newbies often create wrong interpretations on the market. They buy and hold in bullish season, and ends panic selling during bearish season. If this will always be the mindset, probably you will experience losses frequently.
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned on a ongoing Netflix series Queen of the south on: April 20, 2022, 10:54:19 PM
Queen of the south
an action/drama show on netflix  who'd
got chosen for the best prime-time series at imagen awards
Mentioned bitcoin on how busy its network has @S3;O3
This is not really surprising as bitcoin is making its way to global adoption. And as we often observed, everything that gets mainstream are always taken advantage by the producers or developers because what's in demand will definitely the one that will make money for them. I guess we will be seeing this in more of the shows as bitcoin is always part of this digital age.
1325  Economy / Economics / Re: What skills should I learn to get freelance work ..?? on: April 20, 2022, 10:07:55 PM
This is an easy question for you, and the answer is very hard for us. Because you are the one who will learn and earn as well. Writing content isn't a big deal and there are a lot of people offering that service, so probably you won't get what you are expecting. You have to think about where you may concentrate more deeply. There is a lot of work to learn. Most popular and demanded job in crypto/blockchain developers. So developer course would be best including Web development. The world moving to digitalization, so the demand for web/app developers increasing day by day. Besides that, you may learn graphics design as an optional subject. So you may seek work once you aren't soo busy.
There are a lot of crypto jobs actually that you can find a decent income. Just keep on browsing the net and soon you will actually find a job that best suit for you. Programming is very in demand right now so might as well go for it. It does not matter if you see it quite hard, as everything will be learned if you have the eagerness to make it happen. And of course, always learn new skills every time as its always give you an edge if you almost knew everything.
1326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy Trading - experience and tipps on: April 20, 2022, 09:34:43 PM
I have a very small copy-trading portfolio on eToro just for fun, and I really don't expect to make a significant amount of money. In fact, I expect the traders I copy to totally mess it up at some point.

Think about it — if I was a totally successful trader, I'd take advantqage of my strategies on my own and make money myself.
Well, not to be greedy, but if we have good strategies that are making us profitable, then there's no reason that others should be the one taking advantage from it. We should always be the first and only one to benefit from it. So come to think of it, why do some traders are just giving away their own strategies to others? Maybe because its not working anymore for them and they can't benefit from it.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to invest in crytocurrency in 2022? on: April 20, 2022, 09:17:56 PM
In the past there are been different ways of making money in crytocurrency, for example ICO,staking, mining, bounty hunting, buying and selling of nfts, investing in memecoins etc.from all these which do you think is the beat approach to make money in the present market conditions?.
Do you mean the best way?

Any of them can be the best based on your experience and situation. I have seen people say bounty is the best for them and there are also the miners.

Investing alone is effective and can be the best for me because I have seen how many holdings grew over the years. And that is why I am continue to accumulate because the profits I have made is really decent.
Precisely. Especially if you are accumulating bitcoin during the bearish market and hold it for a year or two, that will give you huge profits in time. I am also into signature campaigns, but the best way to be mostly profitable is through investing with the high potential coins that will continue to grow their value in the future.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any altcoin to be millionere by holding up to 5 years from now ? on: April 19, 2022, 10:59:05 PM
Very difficult to answer. No one knows it for sure.
But doing our own research will be able to help us to find one. But I can advise here finding a good project even an altcoin is already here for the long term but they are quality, even how expensive they are already now once the project is good, it will always have room to grow.
Less risk is going on high market caps coins, like Bitcoin or Ethereum.
I guess if we already know the answer, there will be no losses in the future but all are instant millionaires. But crypto is not like that, it will always be unpredictable, one thing that makes it more interesting.

Well, don't expect for new altcoins to bring you fortune in the future, they may be profitable but more on for short term. However, if you stick to bitcoin and ethereum, they got high potentials that will bring us fortune in the next couple of years. Just keep investing and hodling, eventually we will come to reap the fruits of our hardwork and patience.
1329  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: April 19, 2022, 10:32:26 PM
In each and everything he'll makes money. What is happening with his plans of buying more shares on Twitter is a play to influence the market. Some users have mentioned the plans of pumping the dogecoin price. For now that doesn't look like the plan. What we see here is the plan of pumping the market with his plans of buying more shares. This will surely pump the market share value of Twitter. By that time Elon will sell his holdings and exchange some other businesses.
Good thing if his plan will work out, but i think the Twitter boards are not interested in selling it to Elon, even if he is the richest man in the world. So probably, they know already the main purpose of Elon why he insisted to buy the whole shares, but the boards are making it very expensive as their defense mechanism so that Elon will back out. I hope Elon gets the point that the boards will really make it hard for him so as not to pursue the offer.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UFC fighters will get their bonus pay by Bitcoin on: April 19, 2022, 09:41:46 PM
Since it's just a "bonus", I don't think there's much to complain about it. Converting it to fiat if needed shouldn't pose that huge of a problem for them imo, and I don't think they have to worry about it's value if they were to convert it to fiat immediately. Maybe have some of their managers handle that issue, ask the athletes what they really want and then let the managers handle the specific details themselves. As for being happy or not, well, it is a bonus, pretty sure most of them would be happy whether it was in cryptocurrency or not.
Bonus in bitcoin could mean a lot if they keep it as an investment but if they chose to convert it to fiat afterwards, i guess that won't be a problem. After all, its a reward for them for showing their efforts and skills. Well, crypto.com has made its perfect decision to start crypto awareness through sponsoring a world event. Imagine a lot of audience will be able to witness the presence of crypto.com and know its existence, so this could be very helpful in achieving faster adoption for crypto worldwide.
1331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Professional newbie on: April 19, 2022, 09:20:55 PM
Why would it matter? As long as they aren't being annoying, dodgy or breaking forum guidelines, I couldn't care less on the identity someone posts under. Don't forget that higher ranked users might be worried about looking bad if they ask a basic question, that's just the reality. While, everyone has basic questions at times, but just some people like to appear more knowledgable than they might be, which isn't a massive problem if it isn't used maliciously.

If you're knowledgable before joining the forum, great. If you're using multiple alt accounts for different opinions that you don't want to associate with all your identities, great. You're free to do either.
Regardless of whatever position you are currently in, i don't think it will matter the most because as far as i'm concern, as long as you are on the right track and is always been very helpful to contribute in a good flow of discussion, i guess that will matter the most. Be it professional newbie or not, that is not really a big deal as long as you are eager to learn to stay knowledgeable and become a quality poster, because what we need here are those who can contribute quality posts to make the forum more informative.
1332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can newbie become rich with trading on: April 19, 2022, 08:30:08 AM
trading is a profession like any other.
you can do it as a hobby but obviously you can't expect extraordinary results.
you do not base your activities on luck you must have a certain knowledge and experience that a newbie certainly does not have "by nature". Ok the luck of the beginner, but from here to get rich I see it really hard ... maybe impossible Roll Eyes for the 99,99% of people that will try on it...
Trading is not an easy thing to do, and definitely its certainly not a get-rich-quick scheme. And everything in trading is taught and learned with a long process. So we can never expect a newbie to become rich in trading, even if he focus trading only with bitcoin. But i do believe that crypto trading will bring fortune but most likely to those who trade with knowledge and expertise, and definitely to those who take big risks that are also capable to manage the risk.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not profitable anymore, Altcoins like Avalanche / Algorand etc. are on: April 18, 2022, 10:59:33 PM
Are you shilling? Sounds pretty much like laid shilling to me, because really would you actually think Bitcoin as not to be profitable only mention the above names(I won't give them publicity) of coins as profitable.

Get this correctly, just because a coin is super cheap and the other is expensive doesn't make the cheaper on more profitable, investment is futuristic, be it a day ahead or years ahead, so you should always choose the project with the biggest future potentials, and right now no coin reaches Bitcoin.
I don't think you can compare bitcoin to some short term profitable coins. You should always remember that most of the newly launched projects today have been created from the the image of bitcoin. So definitely, bitcoin is still their bases after all. But sad to say, what we have at the moment are just short term profitability. Most of them won't last, unlike bitcoin that its here for good and its profits will always be intended for long term profit making.
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is truly missing in the Bitcoin ecosystem to get this to the masses on: April 18, 2022, 09:04:43 PM
What we really need is some honest reviews from mainstream media and some real understanding of promotions to the people. not some black propaganda from so-called trusted media that are always putting the blame on Bitcoin whenever there are some illegal activities caused by some criminals and they highlighted the bitcoin names to push away the masses from investment. It's not always to put something in the current industry but we also need to subdue the causes of the main problem by this biased mainstream media.
Everything will be put in place once the government takes the side of bitcoin. All those trusted media will come to stop those negative news about bitcoin if the government demands it to stop.  I guess what we truly miss is the full acceptance of bitcoin in the government. But as long as they believe that bitcoin will certainly replace fiat in the future, and will never be centralized, everything in the so-called trusted media will always be hard to stop.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 15, 2022, 08:33:10 PM

It will be a best of 3 series now, they have already shown what they can do, however, I think the Ginebra has the advantage now because Japeth is already playing despite being limited on the floor. He inspires the team when he plays, so it's a big + for the Kings and Meralco needs to find a way to counter that.

Yes, it will be, and Meralco has to take the lead in the series if they don't want to handle all the pressure because we all know that once Ginebra will lead first, they will always find a way to close the series early. I know it's tough but I trust the Meralco could handle the Ginebra as they already found a way to beat them.

Japeth still have that influence within the team, knowing that he's around the players are motivated knowing that there's someone inside that will helps to grab the ball back, though it's though it's limited but still good impact to bring more boost with his teammates, game 5 still unclear still everyone's ball game.

The one that shows more team plays will earn the win for sure. It's a battle between a good system and executions.

Coach Black mentioned that every time they'll face the Gin Kings in the Finals, they always lose, so I'm sure they will try to find a way to win. Japeth is not getting his number due to limited minutes, and he is also very careful that he won't reinjure himself, so expect that Meralco will be more physical in game 5 since it's a very important game for them.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 15, 2022, 01:02:14 PM
~

The last game they showed complete dominance, let's see if they can do the same against the Cavaliers which has a bigger lineup.
Their size probably won't matter. If you look at the records, Hawks had beaten the Cavs in their last three match up with Trae Young averaging over 30 points. They need someone who is agile to guard him and force him to go for tougher shots.

LAC at 1.55 while NOP at 2.40 (ML) doesn't look right. I thought the Pelicans is in a much better position to win but more bettors don't agree obviously. Anyway, I'd love to be proven right Grin

Clippers are at home, on the last few games in the play-in tournament, all the home teams win the game, so probably the fans believe that the Clippers will win as they are the more experienced team. For me, I would take the home team but might reduce the spread to -2.5 just to have a better chance of winning.

PG is in playoff mode, if the Clippers will be more balance, I'm sure they'll win this game.
Also, Ingram was scoring well in the game against the Spurs, this time, I think Morris will do a great job on him.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 15, 2022, 12:02:42 PM
[
The whole 12 rounds play is an example that both the fighters had a great stamina.

Both have good stamina but use it in different ways. Garcia uses his stamina to attack and chase Tagoe, while Tagoe uses his stamina to survive the fight, not thinking of winning actually, which makes the fight boring. It wasn't what I expected to be honest, I thought I would witness a KO.

1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 15, 2022, 09:08:06 AM
At least when we see the game, we know that the chance of our bet to win is huge.  Grin

So I might stick with them on the road, again Trae Young doesn't flap and will show Garland who is the top point guard here. Young knows the gravity of this kind of game and seems to be raising up every stake with his performance. So I will stick with the Hawks, -2.5.

Take note that this is a play-in tournament bracket so usually underdog team can show an opposite result than expected since the match is a win or go home game only. A small mistake for Atlanta will result to a terrible loss. If I were you, I will wait for the second half to finish then bet live. Don’t be tempted on the prematch odds because that’s what bookmaker like if  the game result is an upset match.

Not all the time, pre-match usually gets more bets compared to live betting. If you are betting on the Hawks and they lead by 20 points in the first half, then you'll not be able to put your bet anymore unless you will take the high point spread.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 15, 2022, 07:42:40 AM
Ok so it's good to hear that Casimero is already in England and going ready to accustomed with the weather.  Just a week before the fight, he needs to settle down now, manage his weight and just get some few sparring session to get him warm. For now, let's assume that everything is in place, Casimero vs Butler is going to happen although there are no odds yet for this fight on the bookies that I usually bet.
It will push through because Casimero can’t afford to miss this one again and now that he’s on a country venue, he should focus now on good conditioning and adopting the weather. This is a home country of Butler, he might have the advantage over the crowd but I’m sure Casimero is more than ready to address this, within a week from now we will finally see this two to have good fight.

No problem with Casimero fighting on the home court of his opponent, on the contrary he thrives on this and performed much better against a hostile crowd. So this might be another of his trade mark fight, of knocking the local boy in front of his hometown. I'm not sure though how he will address without his brother on his side as he is the trainer, nevertheless if the other team members are with him that he will still be confident because of the people he trusted is with him.

Definitely, it's not a problem with him as Casimero has been in many battles in different parts of the world in his previous fights. This one is even better because he is fighting as champion, and therefore Butler has to be so convincing if he wanted a major upset and get the belt.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 15, 2022, 06:59:26 AM
Stop the topic about the "rigging" thing, let's create another topic for that.  Smiley

let's look at game 5, this will be on Saturday I think. I have not seen the schedule yet but seeing how Ginebra dominated game 4, I think they have the momentum now to win the series. Is it still -4.5 for the Boltz?
I agree, the next game will be on Sunday, 17.

If the spread is -4.5, I will take the Meralco Bolts. If Ginebra wins, I think it will be a close game and they should not underestimate Meralco because they beat them already twice in the series. Japeth will still play but with limited minutes only, for sure Bolts have already prepared something for him.

Next game is April 17.. 6:30 PM
https://pba.ph/
The series is currently tie and there's still a lot that can happen. Both teams shouldn't estimate each other and I guess that's their perspective. But when it comes to encouragement, in their minds, they're thinking that they're better than the other to boost their morale and that's important especially when they're already in the part of the finals which is very crucial and is about to end anytime soon proclaiming the champion for this conference.

It will be a best of 3 series now, they have already shown what they can do, however, I think the Ginebra has the advantage now because Japeth is already playing despite being limited on the floor. He inspires the team when he plays, so it's a big + for the Kings and Meralco needs to find a way to counter that.
