1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: January 26, 2022, 08:54:26 PM
When I hear people yelling about debts and loses when coins dump or during the bear market, I ask myself one question.

Have they sold all them bitcoin or altcoins?

Because, that's practically the only time uou get to really loose. You lose nothing whoe holding on to your precious coin. Yeah, it must have devalued but the quantity stays constant while waiting on a rise. Should you be able to hodl until it pumps or a bullrun eventually comes up, you get them value back on track.

So, while counting loses for El-Salvador bitcoin investment, let's first of all understand if they were being sold or put to use in some way. If that isn't  being done, then they just might be as stable as before during the bull Market. Let the politicians play there games but, that's simply the truth. Those I would feel for is, the merchants who rely on there bitcoin purchases to refill there stocks. Those horling are ruled out on this. Infact, its time to buy some more.
Before Bukele started this investments about bitcoin, he must be knowledgeable enough that the crypto market evolves in two different cycles, bullish and bearish season. So meaning, El Salvador has prepared this battle already and losing this time will only be visible if they happen to sell their coins when the market value has started to decreased. But i guess they're not. Of course, they might have develop fears seeing the price of bitcoin started to decline, but i know they can manage it and chose to hold their bitcoins because its always expected that bitcoin will always recover again.
1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will cryptos go into Bull season? on: January 25, 2022, 11:29:00 PM
Are you ready for the uptrend, friends? The breaking point of the bull season will start with the BNB reaching $400.
But i think the price surge for BNB will not happen without bitcoin taking the lead in the crypto market. So the bullish season will always start when bitcoin is recovering and starts to boost its momentum to reach for a new all time high. And when bitcoin becomes stable, then most of the altcoins will also be stable because they are mostly affected with the current position of bitcoin. But honestly, having a bull season this time might be too far from reality but that's only from my own observation in the market.

The price of BNB does look up right now, that's because the price of Bitcoin first started to rise, after previously being below $35k. So as you said,
it all depends on Bitcoin's performance, because we know almost all altcoins prices are heavily affected by Bitcoin prices. For a bull season to occur,
expect the Bitcoin price to rise again at least above $50k, if the price of Bitcoin still hasn't reached the price of $50k, it's still too early to talk about
a bull season. We really have to be more patient for now, I really hope there will be good news about crypto circulating in the near future, so at least
it can make the Bitcoin price pump. If the Bitcoin price is pumped, of course we will see the price of altcoins pump too.
Yes. It will always be the same scenario, when bitcoin is up, then the whole coins the market will follow the pump too.  But seeing bitcoin right now is still in a dump, then there's no enough reason that other coins too will start to pump, unless if there are great news that will create a heavy impact on the market.

However, expecting a bull season might still be possible but as for now, we should seize the moment first while its still giving us great opportunities to buy and hold during the dips. And at least we should be more patient for now.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying during this dip? on: January 25, 2022, 08:54:04 PM
~
This dip? Still Bitcoin. That 35k dip is kind of worth for me to at least get some more even if it isn't a whole coin. If I can remember correctly, we're already back in this price couple of months back in 2021, so it shouldn't be that much lower than the last dip that we got.
I wouldn't invest in any other altcoins regardless.
It's always good and profitable to think if we always prioritize bitcoin over other coins since its always the best and most trusted coin after all. However, since we are now facing a huge decline that makes the market more bloody, so why don't we try to diversify our investments by buying at this dips. There are a lot of potential projects out there that has higher chances to succeed in the future because of their strong impact to the community so most likely, even if their prices may fall sharply this time, but definitely they will always have time to recover and increase their value in the right time.
1584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 25, 2022, 03:07:19 PM
Its good buy as the prices are dumping but i think you shouldn't use all your capital at once as there is possibility for further dump so it will be best when you buy in every dip. I'd advise you put more of your capital in bitcoin.
By looking at the current market conditions maybe buying gradually is the right thing,
apart from that each person must have a strategy,
The most important thing is to stay calm and don't be hasty in making decisions
This is definitely the best time to buy bitcoin and ethereum as their prices are very cheap at the moment. Not only for them but almost all the coins right now are experiencing bloodbath seeing the market may be in a long bearish cycle. But we should also remember that not all cheap coins are good to buy, we should stick more into bitcoin and the rest of the popular and established coins. And its always a good strategy if we can buy in every dip since we can't be sure if the next price will be a lot lower or may suddenly make a price increase.
1585  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 24, 2022, 09:40:10 PM

I keep seeing a lot of people who are fearing the price right now, many people who are getting out, and plenty that thinks it will crash even harder.

Why does everyone think the same? I mean it shouldn't be like this right? I have been long enough to hear "buy low, sell high" a million times so far, and it has always been said when the market is low, but for some reason, people still do not feel hopeful when the price is low.

If everyone thinks the same then there is no such thing as balance. sell when the price goes down then buy when the price goes up, really the thought of a person who does not have the courage, those who are stupid in the market will continue to exist

All crypto investors are experiencing a decline in their current asset value and the ones who survive are the winners. as CZ said "Those who cannot survive will never be rich"
This is no surprising particularly for newbies in the market because they easily panic and always end up selling when the price is low. Even for those who have been here in the market for years, they develop this feeling that there's no hope anymore to make profits when bearish season comes. When all we know that it should not be the mindset of good investors. We should also understand that if there's a season to sell and make profits, then we should also think that there's a season too when the market is down and that prices are declining, but definitely a good time to buy.
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Hold is Gold on: January 24, 2022, 08:51:17 PM
Actually holding is a good thing if the coin that is being held has good prospects, in the sense that it is indeed profitable. But I realize that it is indeed difficult to choose good coins to hold other than coins that are already famous and trusted. Not only knowledge but skills and flight hours on a person are very influential on the selection of coins to hold. In holding coins, we really have to be more patient because it takes quite a long time, especially when the market situation is like this where all coins are falling in the market. it will make it longer in holding coins owned.
We won't be holding the coins in the first place if they don't have the potentials to grow in the future. And seeing the present market right now, it's best if we can do more hodling rather than selling at a low cost value which will only end up giving us losses. This is the reason why bearish season is good for buying and holding, since there is a good opportunity to buy and hold while the market is in bloodbath. And selling at the moment even if your reason is to stoploss will never be advisable knowing you will still making huge losses in the end.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 21, 2022, 09:26:53 PM
Indiana Pacers have been on a really great run in the recent times. They played two really tough away games consecutively and managed to win both of them. First, they defeated Lakers and last night they managed to defeat Warriors by 121-117. Curry played really superbly this time and did everything he could to carry his team to a victory. He got 39 points but still couldn't help for a win. Because the rest of the players were too ineffective. Thompson is still recovering now.

If they played that game 100 times in a row golden state would win 90 times.  They made a mistake leaving holiday open for the 3.  1 defensive rotation missed cost them the game.  A lot of things went right for Pacers.

Warriors barely makes mistake but in this game, they made a lot of mistakes. I'm surprised with the good run of the Pacers so far, they beat two good teams in a row but let's see if they can continue winning because they'll face the Phoenix Suns in their next game.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 21, 2022, 09:02:47 PM

Let's see what's the odds once our preferred sportsbook will list the fight. I

Here's the betting odds for the fight.

Quote
Errol Spence Jr (-400)
Yordenis Ugas (+270)

https://proboxingodds.com
https://www.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/rvdp5i/opening_betting_odds_errol_spence_jr_400_vs/

Very wide margin for the odds, looks like Ugas is not a champion with that kind of odds, but it is what it is, the fans think that Spence is unbeatable so he is the heavy favorite despite being inactive.
1589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 21, 2022, 08:41:45 PM
Certainly, why would we compare Magsayo to Loma? Magsayo is nowhere near Loma's experience, the man still have a lot to work and prove to be one of those worthy boxer like Loma. Let's save that discussion later, for now let's see how would this fight end as both boxers are tough and willing to do their best to defend its title, but I have no doubts on Magsayo here as I know that he can defeat Russell eventually.
That's right, rather than busy comparing things that can't even be compared right now it's better to focus on what will happen in this battle.
I quite agree to say that Magsayo will stand victorious in this match but of course we can't take Russell for granted.
There are several things that Russell can do, one of which is the power he has.
but even so, magsayo's endurance is quite good and indeed the chance of winning for magsayo is very large.
I guess the power belongs to Magsayo as he is a knock-out puncher, however, his skills in boxing is not yet seasoned, he still needs to train harder so he can easily make an adjustment in the ring. This is a 12 rounds fight, adjustment is necessary and he should not only look for a KO all the time.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 21, 2022, 12:25:45 PM
Meanwhile, there's a rumor that Banchero might leave the Phoenix super LPG, where do you think he will sign?

COLUMN: Chris Banchero leaving Phoenix a 'big possibility,' says insider

Banchero maybe not be happy with his role with his current team. Looking for a new team might help him show his full potential, we know that he is good and his best season was when he was still playing with the Alaska Aces. Not sure if it's possible, but if there's a case he will be back, maybe he will be a big help to the team as they need a good point guard.
That rumors might be true, since we saw his performance with Phoenix and I can really say that he is not that good with that team, I think he can't go back to Aces anymore since he was there already but still depend to Alaska if they still see potential with Banchero. His next team will be hard to find for sure especially on a season like this, other teams cut some of its budget and they might not afford to pay Banchero, hoping for him to find a better team so he can work on his true potential.
If he wants his full potential to be shown and he wants more minutes to do that, put him in the team where they are always at last position. Blackwater might be the best choice for him.

His performance when he is in the Aces is his best in his career. Seeing the roster of Phoenix right now and I don't think that they have any guard that matches Banchero so if he will leaves, its effects will be felt immediately unless they will get a more reliable point guard. Just put him back on the Aces maybe or put him in Blackwater if he doesn't want to be there anymore Cheesy.

Blackwater is the worst team in the league, even if he will lead the team people will still not gonna notice him because he is playing with a very bad team. What he wants is to be in a good team where he can also use his talent and maximize it, that's what I understand.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 21, 2022, 11:15:02 AM
Pacers are really good lately and they got two important back-to-back wins. They even defeated Warriors away which is a big achievement for them. But I don't think that they will maintain a long-lasting winning streak. They are having a terrible season in general and it could continue like that. But they still have a chance for the playoff of course. If they somehow manage to qualify for it, even it would be an achievement for them I think.
It's not too late for them to come back and be in the playoff spot again. Pacers are a good defensive team, they are a good team in general but sometimes they struggle, I think they are better than what the Lakers are experiencing right now, they are improving while the Lakers aren't.
1592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any favorite superstititions when trading crypto on: January 21, 2022, 09:56:33 AM
I don't know if this is like a superstition every time i didn't wear my glasses and makes a trade most of the time it losses the position no matter what, but of course, nothing will lose to you if you follow that kind of beliefs in our side just doing to prevent losing still needs knowledge, skills, strategy and technique to make a trade and what kind of trade do we commit if this is long term or short. Mostly I do futures so.
For me, i don't have certain kinds of superstitions but every time i trade, i make sure that the market is showing good signs to trade. So i definitely grab the chance to make profits. But there's no harm really in following such superstitions because if that will make us comfortable, then so be it. Just always equipped yourself with good strategies, special techniques, of course with patience, and with never ending gained knowledge as every time we trade, we should learn new lessons from it.
1593  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we going to have "fear" months? on: January 21, 2022, 09:27:47 AM
Is this month is a time of fear for you just because we drift sideways to negative then sure we will have this fear.  Overall Bitcoin has been quite steady even while retracting in its gains, its still risen over 6 months, over a year and anything but this near term disappoint its been fine.  I would call it more dismal then anything more dramatic.
It's pretty subjective to say though, for some I am pretty that they're probably going to see it as an opportunity to buy at a lower price but given how not everyone thinks this way and only a few see this kind of months as an opportunity, I would still agree that fear months are real. For me it's the opposite though, it's the greed months.
Yes. This time will definitely create fear months for those who can't appreciate the opportunity that the market is giving now. But for us who have been here for years, this is the perfect time to accumulate potential coins as bitcoin at the present is already at $38,999 and i think it will fall even deeper if this bearish season continues.

However, although we can't stop the people from having fear if the price decline will continue, but it won't really help at all knowing what is happening right now is also part of the market cycle. Just think of it, if bullish season is the season to sell, i think what we have right now is definitely the season to buy and hold. Just do the right thing and of course, never panic. That way, we won't fall in losses.
1594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: January 20, 2022, 11:41:22 PM
Crypto world can be for everyone but not everyone does it well, that's why many people suffer losses like this case. But if the cause is gambling, then there is no doubt because many people who experience losses with gambling because gambling does rely more on luck. if you are lucky it will be profitable but if not then like the story above it will be very detrimental. I prefer to invest or trade which I feel is safer and we can also control our own assets well. That is why before entering the crypto world we are required to have sufficient knowledge.
Gambling is not for gaining profit or making it as a source of income, gambling is supposed to be for entertainment only. Trading is different than gambling but almost the same when talking about risk. If a person who's good at trading get addicted to gambling then I think we all know where those who got addicted ended up and it's not new in here. It does happen already in the past and it's not really recommendable if someone doesn't know how to control their self.
Trading may be somewhat related to gambling but the chances to gain profits is higher compared to gambling itself. But since OP is telling us that the man has been addicted to drug and alcohol so there is no way that he can trade rightly. He cannot sustain from making profits anymore because his body and his mind is already into vices addiction. As expected, he will suffer from losses in the end because of his own wrong doings. He'll only regain his losses if he will be completely healed and change his perspective in life.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It won't hurt on: January 20, 2022, 11:07:18 PM
It won't hurt to have 100,000 shiba inu coin in your wallet you know, I'm saying this because I used to have 1,000,000 doge coin in my wallet but got tired of holding it and sold, we both know how much that it today so we can't say if shiba can make its way to where doge coin is right now, it won't hurt to have some in holding
Is Elon musk endorsing Shiba Inu? I don't think so, what happened to the success so far from Shiba Inu is still the same thing you promoting which is fomo (fear of missing out) on Shiba Inu, but playing the Dogecoin card, I don't think Shiba Inu would achieve the Great success Dogecoin had, and infact I don't think Dogecoin would repeat the success, meme coin to me a temporary and I don't see them as surviving for long.
That is totally different direction they have and Doge had might have the chance to survive as it was been in the market for many years, unlike Shiba Inu. It doesn't matter who endorses them but what it matters a lot is the usefulness of the projects and it was to see that they have different purposes for their creation but this dogecoin has been proven already and many Traders are currently using this.
But yes, they are not a good investment especially when we are aiming for the long-term, they are just good at hype.
Hodling a lot of Shiba Inu is like putting yourself into gambling. Although it was profitable when the market was still in a good position, but since the market has dump, meme coins like Dogecoin or Shiba Inu has always stay in their low value.  If you are really aiming for a huge profits in the future, do not compromise your investments into meme coins, invest on what you think will dominate the market when the bulls are back. Stick to bitcoin and established altcoins as they will never become out of trend.
1596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting Used to The Market Situation is The Key to Becoming a Reliable Trader. on: January 20, 2022, 08:19:50 PM
if you can get used to the market situation and be able to understand the cause of every price movement, then it will always give you an edge to win over losses as you know already when is the best time to trade, and what coins will be most likely to be profitable in trading. Just stick to your plan and never be motivated with greed, i know you will attract good profits in the end.
This is the reason experience must be vital skill for any trader to have for being profitable in consistent manner.
Because you cannot turn experienced on the moment you decide about it but you need to be working hard and need to remain patience to gain knowledge and experience over the time. This is the reason even people are good in technical analysis facing losses due to lack of real-time experiences.

Getting used to market pressure will help anyone but at the same time you should focus on learning from your mistake and if you are not gaining any real time knowledge from your own experience (which happened due to your mistake) then staying with market for years may not make any differences.
I agree on you. It does not make sense even if you've been trading in the market for long and yet, you are still making the same mistakes again so most likely, you are still end up losing. Experience will always matter the most. It will help us enhance our trading skills by leaving us valuable lessons to learn and not to do the same mistakes again. And definitely, with our trading experiences, we get to understand more the market that will help us to improve more our trading strategies.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 20, 2022, 03:04:07 PM
True, next time he really needs to be careful of his body specially the athlete of his caliber, to be able to stay on top of his game, his body and mind should be in sync. If one is not then there is a problem just like what happen to him when he gets a sort of infection from a virus in his stomach.

So this is really a big lessons for him and now he should make sure that this won't happen and that he will keep his body healthy all the times.

As a fighter it is their responsibility to take good care of their body and health especially if they have an scheduled fight. Though the management should take this kind of reason as valid because health issues is really a big issue but then if this kind of excuse would be tolerated it would be probably overused. Still, a good chance for Casimero to defend his belt for the second chance that the WBO have had given to him, I do hope also that this time he could make at the weigh in and make this fight do happen because it has been postponed for a quite long time.

He can't afford to make a mistake for the 2nd time. Though he will just be defending this title, it's still an opportunity for him to show to the world that he is really good and he deserves a unification fight, that would not happen if he cannot beat Butler or if he will not take care of his body.

It's every boxer's duty to take care of their bodies and continue training to be ready in a fight, however, there are things that could happen which is beyond our control, sometimes a boxer feels sick despite conditioning his body well, so it's acceptable if he had a valid excuse.

The date was not announce yet but for sure they'll ensure that Casimero (the defending champion) is 100% healthy before they'll roll out the new schedule.
1598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: January 20, 2022, 02:10:27 PM
As a next move El Salvador government have planned for bitcoin backed loan for small and micro businesses. Here the interest rates were calculated to be more less than the present ones. The details about the loans weren't disclosed for now, as the news happened through a facebook live from Taher who is the advisor for El Salvador government.

El Salvador explores low-interest loans backed by Bitcoin

Unfortunately the link is not working.

But if my understanding is correct, it's just right that the interest is low because bitcoin is a high volatile asset, it could end up a borrower paying more than 100% of his original loan if he spends the money and bitcoin will have its bull run during the due date period.
1599  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has crossed $43k what's next? on: January 20, 2022, 01:26:03 PM
BTC has crossed the mark of $43k after a while and will it pump further towards $50k and is this the buy in period or else it will once again dump and stay around $40k for some more time? IMO there are more possibilities of bitcoin recovering from recent correction and March towards $50k which will send green signal for entire crypto market and we have even noticed it's positive effect today on top altcoins, what's your take on this?
Looking at the chart of the price movement during this decline, so I think the lowest bitcoin price until the end of this month will remain at $40k, previously bitcoin has tried several times to rise to the price of $43k-$44k but bitcoin only lasted a short time in that area and then fell again below the $41k price and leads me to believe that the bitcoin price will soon return to the $50k price in the near future as you have specified.
It will stay at that price if nothing will happen, but if there's some kind of bad news, the price will easily dump because it looks like we are in a bear market now. If you have been investing in crypto for awhile, you'll understand that this trend is going to happen, so brace yourself and prepare for the bear season.
1600  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy Crypto Or Have Fun Staying Poor! on: January 19, 2022, 11:19:47 PM
Honestly, it's encouraging me when I see myself holding a pile of cash. But that won't go anywhere because I have to spend them for the bills and other expenses and needs.

There are other ways for the others to thrive and it's not just all about cryptocurrencies. They can hedge against inflation through other investments.

The important matter on this, they're doing something to counter the inflation that's always coming, yearly! To us, it's easy to do that since we're all investors of bitcoin and other crypto assets.
If we only stick to fiat, then expect that inflation will always be a part of it. But if we can invest into other types of investments that can combat high rising inflation, particularly bitcoin, i think it will create more profits than fiat. And now is the best time to start it while there is good opportunity to buy. So start buying crypto and make it as your long term investment as it will always gain higher value when its hold for long. However, if you stick to fiat, then you can never stay out easily from being poor.
