1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is going up during war? on: March 04, 2022, 05:58:38 PM
snip
I always believe in another surprise from bitcoin and it will surely come soon. You can continue to be patient while accumulating more bitcoins or you can sell them now that it is your choice. After the war is over, maybe it's time for bitcoin to surprise us and who knows, it will mean the price will start rising higher and return to our big profits. I think this March there will be a miracle from bitcoin for us but before that, there might be another surprise factor, so just wait ;D3

We cannot really say that and to expect that there will be some miracle to happen this month of March just like you stated, I mean yes it would definitely be a great news if indeed that will happen this month but we are just limited to do some speculations and no matter how hard we try, we cannot really predict what is ahead of us.
In this times of war, we need to be more cautious and watch the price closely if we intend on selling our assets these days because the market is too unpredictable as many people in the midst of war are converting their assets in cryptocurrency and others are converting their crypto assets into some local fiats because they need more cash on hand.
1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 04, 2022, 05:20:21 PM
For Ugas, it will be a big challenge. Spence is known to throw aggressive punches and since he's big, the cover or defense of Ugas can collapse

and he can overpower him. It would be a great adjustment for Ugas to solidify both his defense and his counterattacks,

it will be a good toe to toe face-off between these two champs.

A winner takes all fight, and the chance to call for Crawford and collect all the belt in this division.
Ugas will be the standing at the end of this fight, that I'm sure of, didn't he defeat Pacquiao? And I think that it's a big win even though Pacquiao is old in terms of boxing but it's a feat nonetheless. I think that Ugas's toughness will play a big role in this match. Pretty exciting match and I hope to get in on the action and able to have some money to place bets.

As Ugas wants to prove something inside the ring, after his win over Pacquiao, more than likely, he's in hard training for this upcoming fight.
We all know that Spence Jr will be the favorite here. And that will add more challenge for Ugas to be well-prepared for this.
If this will be another upset, definitely, it will open more doors for him. So Spence Jr should not reckon this as easy fight.
This fight is indeed an interesting one as we will see a possible toe-to-toe performance of Spence Jr and Ugas.

He is brave enough to face a champion again, that's the kind of boxer I like, unlike those champion who are undefeated but doesn't want to face the best in their division, I know you know who I'm referring, so this one is a treat for the boxing fans as it does not happen all the time.

He already proved his worth as a boxer when he beats Pacquiao now he is going the extra mile buy fighting a very dangerous Spence, there are no thrash talks happening between the two they are both professional when they meet at a conference, so just over a week from now and we will see another hopefully a good fight, this is going to be a technical fight between the two as both fighters always sizing up their opponents.

Errol Spence and Yordenis Ugas will unify welterweight titles on April 16 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

I'm not sure what fight you are referring to because this fight between Ugas and Spence is scheduled on April 16 like stated above in the link provided and definitely not next week. But yes, these two boxers are both professional just like what we saw at the conference and I also expect a tough entertaining fight from these two boxers.

1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 04, 2022, 04:10:32 PM
What's the status of this fight?
I quote from the latest news in February that the match status will be rescheduled to next April 22, we may not get daily news updates about boxers and in mid March it will be a popular topic about boxing matches, I really hope PPV matches will be held without any changes schedule and should not accept the intervention of both boxers as was the case before except for unavoidable circumstances.

Yes the fight schedule is still the same and it will happen this April 22 in Liverpool after it was rescheduled last January, correct me if I'm wrong. These coming days and weeks are very crucial to them so it's natural that we won't be getting any news or update about them because they are really busy preparing for this fight. Like Casimero now, we know him for being a talkative boxer but now we can't get any updates about him as they've gone in silence.
1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 04, 2022, 03:35:11 PM
Good, thanks for the update mate, looking forward for this date, and now that we have a date, they are back in training mode again. And add the extra motivation for GGG to win so that he can set up the trilogy that he wanted against Canelo. And then Murata also motivated to be the one to derail this fight. So as we have been speculating since the start, this will be very interesting fight, GGG fighting at Murata's home soil.

Same here I'm also looking forward about the trilogy, and at last the long wait is over, we can now watch this fight soon as the new schedule is already posted. GGG is really motivated now because Canelo and his camp have changed their mind and offer GGG a deal to fight Canelo again. Win or lose, I just want them to see dancing again in the ring.

For Murata, he is already honored to have the chance of fighting GGG at his own backyard. Even though he himself know that he's not in the same league against GGG but he's also motivated to atleast give an entertaining fight and of course Japanese people are rooting for him.
1465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 04, 2022, 02:53:35 PM
Here is the statement from the 4 governing bodies of boxing:

Quote
The four governing organizations responsible for overseeing boxing title matchups around the world -- the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO -- announced in a joint statement that they won't sanction any such bouts in Russia because of the invasion of Ukraine.

https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/33381629/boxing-governing-organizations-sanction-title-bouts-russia-due-invasion-ukraine

So it clearly states that any fight in Russia will be sanction. It didn't mention about Russian fighters not able to fight outside of Russia. So I think this is still a go fight in May 7.

You mean any fight in Russia will not be sanctioned.
I surely hopes so, if that is the case then why Dmitry Bivol is heavily affected together with Artur Beterbiev who is also set to fight Joe Smith Jr. in New York? As I read the article it also says that any major and minor title isn't exempted in this issue.
The governing bodies should consider for the fights that have been scheduled first before their statement was released.
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 04, 2022, 02:26:19 PM
Can you add more insight to the upcoming Cavaliers vs. Sixers game? Honestly, I don't know much about the current Cleveland team as I do not watch their games. We already know Harden and Embiid looks to be working well for Sixers as they are on a roll. Meanwhile, Cavaliers are on a two-game losing streak.

I might just take Sixers -7.5 @1.92

Take it mate, Cavaliers has been inconsistent lately even before the All Star weekend, they're continuously losing even against weaker teams. A -7.5 spread isn't so hard for the 76ers to cover particularly now that Harden really fits in the puzzle together with Embiid.
I'm betting on the 76ers -7.0 and also Milwaukee Bucks -3.5 against Chicago Bulls.

1467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 04, 2022, 02:00:55 PM
Well that’s three losses in a row now for my Chicago Bulls. I knew I should have put a few dollars on the Hawks last night, not that I had much faith in them, but I just had less faith in the Bulls as they are currently skidding and I feel like they are in kind of a bad spot right now overall. Hopefully they can right the ship tonight versus the Bucks but I’m not counting on it.

You should have put a few, but yeah, we can't really tell for sure if they can win or not even if it is just a low spread. They're on the losing steak now, it can't be helped because Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball aren't around to help them. And if they did not make it against the Hawks, what more against the former champion right? Bucks is much more tougher than the Hawks.
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bounty Campaign a Sustainable way to grow your Crypto Community? on: March 04, 2022, 07:59:33 AM
No doubtful, bounty campaigns draws a ton of attention to your community and enlighten potential investors about your project. But at the long run, is this development sustainable? Is it reliable enough to grow your project?

Investors are into many projects if you cannot convince these investors you have a good project with good potential it's not going to sustain your project, the bounty campaign can only attract investors to look at your project, but what will make them stay is how good is your project, and it's a contribution to the Cryptocurrency community, everything depends on the developers when it comes to retention.
I would not say that bounty campaigns are not reliable, but they can be reliable in such a way that it can generate awareness about your project so that investors will be convinced to invest in your project. But definitely its not the only way to sustain the growth of your crypto community. I guess its on the real use cases of the project itself. Investors will definitely put their trust on your project if the goal of the project is highly subjective that will create huge demand and established foundation. Its more on the substance of the project that makes it more reliable, and not totally on the bounty campaign.
1469  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do i need to be a successful trader ? on: March 03, 2022, 09:26:08 PM
If you have learnt all these trading tools like you said you have, then,  what remains for you is how to deploy your learnt skills into trading and start making wealth for yourself! Your first point of call is to distill those understanding to a bullet form strategy and begin to implement them.  You should test your strategy and tweak it to see how effective they are!  Your potential for growth and earning is limitless,  you just have to stay focus and use your skills!
Learning all of these is not that easy but if you have not mastered them well, then most likely trading will not give you that positive results. Put all what you have learned into practice and by engaging yourself in different trading experiences using all strategies what you learned, that will help you to develop its mastery and expertise in the long run. So just keep on trading, the results of your action will certainly tell if you have been making progress in trading or not.
1470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to be investing in Bitcoin? on: March 03, 2022, 08:55:33 PM
It’s always a good time to invest in any sort of investment. A type of investing that you should consider using is DCA ( Dollar cost averaging ). This means that you invest a little bit every week/ month and over the course of time you’ll catch some ups and downs but the incremental buying will make sure you’re not always catching the top of markets.
As long as you're on for long term, then bitcoin is definitely a good investment for that. I guess with the event of Russia and Ukraine war, that makes bitcoin move in an unstable manner. And when you see bitcoin price is still not in surge, its the best time to invest in bitcoin. And i think in all sorts of investments, the risk is always there. So if you are using DCA, certainly its good so you can minimize the risk.
1471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Journey of a successful trader on: March 03, 2022, 08:11:16 PM
to hone prowess in trading, it is necessary to go directly to real trading. because there will be some things that cannot be learned in demo trading, namely trading psychology. people who learn from the demo and feel they have mastered trading, it is not necessarily that they will be able to survive in real trading. of course this is different and will encounter new difficulties in real trading
Talking about trading psychology, it is a very important thing to learn. Psychology will determine the direction of trading and determine every decision taken. If the psychology is still weak, the trading strategy will not work well. Many trading professionals lose because their psychology is not good. practice and continued practice will make psychology more trained, so it will not be a problem when facing a bad market.
This is something that is not considered important by a lot of people and yet it plays a critical role, people concentrate on signals and what indicators to use but they do not understand that if they do not have the right state of mind then nothing of that will matter at all, after all you could have the best strategy around the world but if at the first sign of trouble you abandon the strategy and then sell your coins in panic then you are not going to become a successful trader until you correct your mentality.
That is if you have the right attitude as a trader, then it won't be hard for you to be a successful trader in the making. Trading is not only based on good strategies and perfect skills, but its more on the right mentality. Its more on what you can give as a trader, and it will all start if you have the proper mindset and mentality as a good trader. I believe those what you have said OP are only the second options to be a successful trader. A good trader should always have its own self motivation first so he can successfully follow all the said strategies in trading.
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret when you miss selling at ATH followed by a correction on: March 03, 2022, 07:27:25 PM
The best way to keep at peace with your investments is to have the right mentality about your pattern of flowing with the market trend, altcoin investment has been a regrettable one full of lessons, and from now going forward I will rather buy low and sell high and by back again just like you suggested.

I bought some coins at a low price some time ago and when the price boomed I failed to sell at the all-time high price but I was able to avoid a total loss.
I think there's no reason to resort into regrets if we miss selling at its peak price. We all have another chance to sell, not only when the price is high, but eventually when you see your target selling price has been attained already, that's the right time to sell. But if you have the right mentality and create good decision making at the first place, then you will never encounter missing chances as you always consider the right time to buy and sell.
1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Family on: March 03, 2022, 02:20:42 PM
This guy is a legend and upon knowing his story before the ATH on 2017 and while we're dealing with the bear market on 2018. I've thought on how he's able to surpass that. Well, we've surpassed and overcame it so he did.
Now, he's got a lot of opportunity with him and his family's decision of going all in for bitcoin. It's a worth it experience for them and although risky, they've taken full responsibility for that decision and they did it right.
That is faith. Even if you know you did a very risky decision that will make your family suffer in the future, but you stand on what you believe will happen and now, you are already living a life which is everyone's dream. But in my honest opinion, not everyone could be fortunate like Didi. Even if the faith is there, the passion lives on, but the fact that you are in a very unpredictable investment, investing all in could be a very wrong move. However, if you are in a very promising investment, who knows, risking your time and money could be all worth its huge returns.
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any info about metamusk on: March 03, 2022, 08:15:06 AM
Not sure about the reliability of metamusk but I would say that the group behind this project are trying to take advantage with the help of Elon Musk's fame which looks something suspicious to me. It will be good decision to stay away from this project until the team of metamusk presents something useful regarding their project for now it will be worthy to not invest a single penny in this project.
Metamusk is something new to me and i don't easily trust new things especially in crypto. We should be more vigilant if we plan to invest in tokens that have not proved its real use cases and its reliability. And what this project makes more doubtful is that Elon Musk is part of it. That makes me think that this is another way for Elon to attract investors for his own selfish desires. He has build his own credibility in crypto so i'm not surprised why wise investors avoid all the projects where he's totally involved. Anyway, here's an additional information about metamusk. Read it here: https://bitcoinist.com/metamusk-announces-official-launch-of-highly-anticipated-multi-token-ecosystem/
1475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A thing worst than "don't trade with your emotion" a trader should avoid on: March 03, 2022, 07:10:17 AM
we can learn or take trading knowledge anywhere either from YouTube channels or others, but what traders must know is to analyze first and take suitable techniques for trading themselves is very important.
many things will affect unsuccessful trading regardless of uncontrolled emotions, and of course if traders don't learn a lot of trading knowledge and technicals, they will fail and stop listening to other people's opinions when trading, do what you want to do because all what happens in the future you will bear it yourself, be it profit or loss.
Youtubers do have its own faults too, and its up to us whether to see its faults or not. But if you want to see the real scenario in trading, you have to discover it for yourself. Do not just rely from those what you see or hear, but have your own market analysis based from your gathered ideas and proven facts. After all, youtubers are only there to share their own opinions and ideas, its up to us whether to grab or not. The outcome of your trading  will not be credited from them but how you do it yourself.
1476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Missed Out of a 10 Year Bitcoin Investment Plan on: March 02, 2022, 09:57:43 PM
You've heard of people who had early opportunity with the Bitcoin but missed it? Well, I'm probably one of them.

Many people have missed their first chance to enter in the crypto market because they do not calculate the potential of this market. That is perfectly ok as no one had thought few years back, that bitcoin can grow so big in the coming years. But now we know the potential of bitcoin so we should now take entry in the bitcoin so that in 2030, we are not among those who would be saying that they missed the bitcoin under 50K which is now trading at 10 or 20x higher prices.
I think the same scenario will probably happen ten years from now. People will still regret that they have missed chances to invest in bitcoin and now they are not making huge profits from it. But IMO, people will not learn from all their wrong decisions unless they see bitcoin in a very high ATH.  So it will be an eye opener for all to never disregard bitcoin as its value will always bound for a higher ATH in every year that comes.

The only problem is that the price of bitcoin is not the same as it was 10 years ago, when it was extremely cheap and anyone could afford it; now it is extremely difficult to purchase one if you do not have enough money; however, it is highly likely that this scenario will repeat itself, so it is best to invest sooner rather than later. Some people will learn from their mistakes, but others will not. If we make a mistake, we should assess it and figure out how to avoid making the same mistake again. This is the key to gaining valuable experience and achieving our goals.

Well even though the value of BTC is not the same as it was 10 years ago, people who have had BTC can have it again, because they know how they can get it and so they can start from scratch, in Jesse Livermore's books, he became millionaire and then he was bankrupt, but on two occasions he managed to become a millionaire again, it is that money is made thinking, if for some mistake everything is lost in one move, you have to work very hard to get there again, that is law, I think that every human being has that capacity.

Failure is not the reason to give up but its there to motivate you to rise up again. So it does not matter if we missed opportunities and fail in our first attempts, as long as we are able to recover from that and do the right thing now. And now the right thing to do is to start investing as prices will always grow in time. When you look back 10 years from now, at least you can say to yourself that i have done my best and now its time for me to reap the fruit of my hard work.
1477  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PROFIT must not be top priority in trading, instead of LEARNING first. on: March 02, 2022, 04:30:47 PM
I understand how bad if we lose money on our first trade but I think we have to understand as well that not all went too easily. There is something we need to change and instead of focusing on how to earn money, it supposes we have to focus on how to enhance our knowledge and skills first. For the moment that we have all of these things, it can be easy for us to make a profit in the market...it guarantees nothing but nobody was able to succeed in the absence of these things.

This should be the one which need to look for by new people who want to engage with trading since if they just go there counting their possible profit without even thinking on what they are doing then maybe we will see then got burn on the market unpredictable volatility. That's why at earliest stage they should look at the experience of others and learn how the technicalities of trading since for this for sure they can learn something which they can use when they are ready to trade.
Everything is uncertain when it comes to crypto trading so expecting to make consistent profits for a newbie may turns out to be his first frustration. To avoid that, its better to expect losses at first as trading is more detrimental for those who lacks knowledge on it. However, if you come into trading backed with knowledge and skills, that will be your edge among others. But even though, you are not excuse from losing in trading. In fact, losing is  inseparable from winning. And the more you put into practice the learnings you gained from your experiences, the bigger the chances to stay close to your goal, and that is to maximize your profits every time you trade.
1478  Economy / Economics / Re: What if Russia economy grows higher after the war on: March 02, 2022, 02:38:45 PM
What will happen if at the end Russia succeed in her conquest against Ukraine and take over the economy of Ukraine. That will extend the economic power of Russia no doubt and that will make Russia more powerful.

How will EU and NATO countries relate with Russia if that happens ?

How would Russia rise for this situation? Sanctions for them is almost everywhere and they cannot accelarate their economy at this point even their currency has many limits in terms of transacting it so I don't think they will benefit on this and they became more powerful. What I think here is maybe Russia will lose a little bit power since some countries are been controlled by US and there are other more will join on NATO which is feared by Russia to happen.
I don't know what Putin's been thinking but I think their only goal is to achieve Ukraine without any trouble yet it's not that easy since they (Ukraine) were influenced by the west or NATO. It's all about their history about the Soviet Union that's why Putin's so desperate to take Ukraine.

Anyway, with all of these sanctions almost everywhere how could someone think Russia's economy would grow if most of the country has been cutting them off? Right now, China is the only one that I think has been normally trading with them but that's it – it has nothing to do with their economy since it will take a long time for them to recover after the war.
If Russia will win from this war, that will not change everything as Putin becomes the root of everything that had turn lives into deaths and destruction of all the infrastructures that could give benefits to the most people in Ukraine. And the fact that this war arise from the selfish desire of Putin, i guess at the end of the day no one deserves to win from a war. Supremacy may be totally achieved by Russia, but it should have never be done from war, instead let peace talk should be its only option. And for EU and NATO countries, i think this war may build a gap between them and Russia but future state leaders will manage to settle that.
1479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope Vs Realty of bitcoin on: March 01, 2022, 09:30:27 PM
What you have to realize is that bitcoin or any other crypto currency is closely related to volatility, with that everyone can buy and sell by taking advantage of the ups and downs especially the traders who rely on it for profit.
there is no straight line in every investment and if there are all rich people in it, bitcoin moves up and down which will eventually tend to rise gradually and long term holders and who always take advantage of the downturn to make gradual purchases, and that is the winner who will get rich through long process and strong patience to achieve it.
Bitcoin is just like other investments that has its own risk because the future is still uncertain. But if you know how to take advantage every buying and selling opportunity, you will never experience much of its volatility effects and that the risk of losing in times of downturn is somehow minimized. But one thing is certain, bitcoin will not make you rich overnight, it will take a lot of years before you can say you have beat the tough and rough road to its success and made you rich eventually.
1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are there so many coins and the reason why some developers failed on: March 01, 2022, 08:27:53 PM
I believe developers saw the the vision of Bitcoin and try to explore from the vision  by introducing and making their own coin but they lost focus because they only have one goal in mind which is making money, forgetting the most vital ingredients in developing an asset. They forget that they are certain steps and strategies to undergo before accomplishing a good assets or goal.

Some of the reasons why I think some developers fail is because:

1. Lack of funding both the starting aspect and the launching aspect (lack of money to continue)
2. Failure in out righting frauds
3. Failure to evolve especially when the coin initially start bomming

Most developers have only one vision which is making money that is why many coins doesn't grow and they failed because they didn't see the vision ahead.
Excuse me, funds isn't everything and if all a developer can think of is fund they shouldn't release any crypto project because I'm come to understand that projects with zero funding are more serious than those that rely completely on funds.
Well, having an insufficient funds is also one of the reasons why most of the projects fail because this will lead to hire less experienced developers because they are only asking lower rate. And in most cases, having lesser funds is always doom for the failure of the projects or the developers themselves. However, i have provided the most common reasons why projects or its developers fail. Read here: https://thecodest.co/blog/why-do-software-projects-fail-most-common-reasons/
